You are going to lose all your money, no doubt.
Dude you need to just take a time-out and rethink your strategy.
And the FIRST thing you need to stop doing is asking people on an internet message board how to handle YOUR money.
Geez.
No, there is no 'formula' (i.e. one week) for how long these things run. If there was it would not take intelligence and keenness to play them properly.
Stop trading and do some studying.
Wow.
I just went to the GGRI website for the first time.
This stock/promo is going to KILL. Very nice. Presentation is everything. Remember LEX*'s promo video (aside from the spelling/grammar errors! lol.).
This is very, very nice.
Very much looking forward to the rest of this run.
Here here.
Look at GGRI's 3day 5min candlestick chart and review the overall line trend. GGRI is clearly in consolidation mode. The early pop and tank this morning were just "noise" in the overall trend line. A 2-5 day period of consolidation can provide great support for the next big move.
If you lock up your shares (i.e. by setting a sell order, e.g. for, say, .30, NOW), then shorters cannot borrow them.
If a lot of folks do this, it severely limits what the shorts are able to accomplish.
Insofar as you do not do this, then you are leaving your shares out to be borrowed by shorts.
This is the conventional wisdom.
Lock 'em up.
I wonder if we're looking at a gapper.
Gotta decide on an entrance strategy here.
That fine line between not wanting to miss the train, on the one hand, and not wanting to sprint out in front of a marathon, on the other.
$GGRI up over 100% yesterday.
Are we back to some classic promo plays like a few months ago here?
Word has it this one has a 1 mil budget, and that it is going to run (the promo) for a bit.
I am watching this morning and maybe getting in.
Good morning everyone.
Just got the coffee poured and the breakfast made.
Real interested to see what's in store here.
I may jump in if this thing has more juice.
I much preferred the multiple posts where you bragged about your Vegas forays in explicit dollar amounts.
But hey, to each his own, er... I guess I'm not sure how that jibes with a rant about how other posters ought to comport themselves.
More braggadocio please!
This is a decidedly different tone then your previous to each his own style/concern/content of posts! Suddenly you're more opinionated.
As for the folks who have called DT trying to find answers -- and I am one of them -- the impatience you're now displaying might be better directed. That is, Steve is in the business of "investor relations." His job is to to 'relate' to the company's investors. People get antsy when their money does not seem properly looked after. And Steve ought to know that an anxious pool of investors has perhaps unhappy consequences. People are going to seek information that they feel entitled to. It's Steve's job to either get that information to them, or manage their expectations in such a way that they don't act on their anxiety in untoward ways.
Seriously?
Damn.
Given the renovation report by IT, via the GM's response to him, it sounds at least plausible that renovation is the hold up.
HOWEVER...
If Steve can tell us that they can only work at the pace of the renovations in Philly, then why can he not say the same about DT?
That's weird... and thus my pessimism.
Wait, so writing a review on that site is a way to get an email from the DT GM??
Hmmm...
I'll be back.
Called the Double Tree
Said that I'm going to be in town on business in a week or two and trying to decide whether to lug my computer along or not. Said that I was told by some colleagues that the downtown DT has interactive/internet TV in the guest rooms.
"Jeremy," is who I was speaking with. Didn't know anything about it.
I asked Jeremy if I could speak with a concierge. Jeremy said he in fact doubles as a concierge, and didn't know anything about it.
I asked Jeremy if there might yet be someone there who does, despite the fact that he didn't. Perhaps a head of maintenance or something?
Jeremy put me on hold while he called the head of maintenance.
When he came back he said that, no, nothing like that has been installed.
I asked him about the various newspaper articles which clearly said that some of the rooms would make the changeover as early as March, and that the reason for my call was that I was hoping to get one of those rooms on my trip.
He said I could not explain the newspaper articles, as nothing like what I'm describing has been installed there. The only thing that had been done was - back in March - the internet was sped up a little.
Steve is not talking because something has gone wrong.
I'm calling the DT right now...
I definitely agree with you A1, that we should be having DAILY (HOURLY?) CC's.
Let's get on that. =)
and Tivus feels that it shouldn't do that right at this moment, while it works its way through the ins-and-outs and detail of that contract with the DT.
That just doesn't make sense to me. We were told that the INSTALL was underway. And a contract comes BEFORE an install. Does it not?
A1 - I greatly appreciate your work here (to say the least), but why don't you press him on certain points like this when something that he says simply does not make sense? It's one thing to have certain things that he cannot say publicly yet. But it is another thing to say things now that DO NOT COHERE with what was previously said publicly.
Am I confused?
What does "working its way through... that contract" even mean? And HOW could it mean anything close to what it presumably means if the install has already begun? Heck, the contract was already signed! You sign a contract first, and then write it???? Who's running this company, Nancy Pelosi????
BOM?
Wow THAT'S gotta be frustrating. Sorry homeboy.
Buys for .0095 and someone immediately steps in to sell for .0075?
geez.
I can't help but feel that this is on the edge of an explosion
I want to believe!
But then your revenue point haunts me! It seems to me that DT is the closest prospect that we have for revenue. But we have this odd silence from IR regarding that project. It's eerie. And the fact that it seems to be our only hope right now is thus all the more unsettling.
But I want to believe!
Please excuse my reference to the Mormon religion,
Relevant info is relevant info!
I get the biggest kick out of imagining that you really are the guy in your profile picture, just sitting there in your trailer home on the edge of some cornfield, spittin' tobacco into an Old Style can, kicking your mangy cat, and swearing about TIVU.
ID-Super...
Can I bother you to PM me your email address? I want to ask you something, but don't have PM privileges (Lord knows that I cannot afford those AND being a TIVU shareholder... I had to choose.).
Yeah, I was just being a twirp.
Then I changed my postings to reflect a ok let’s see about getting my $80k back – let’s go!
Why weren't you concerned about the other 10K?
(oops!)
That's correct. No Omni hotels are Host properties.
And you're right on the other point too, or so it seems to me. The contracts with 'Host' would probably be individual contracts with the companies on Host properties, technically speaking.
Per the debt/equity financing conundrum, my limited financial imagination cannot foresee how they can practically effect that transition, i.e. from latter to the former, unless what we thought we heard about the hotels footing the bills for installs. Seems like without that, they will always need to go prostitute themselves just to get the money to fulfill whatever contract comes in.
Man... I know that I am not the only one who can just smell this Host contract in the air.
It's hard to believe it might be getting closer. Seems like it's just been purgatory ever since we first got the wind knocked out of us on the conference call (whereupon many of were Googling "MOU").
But it is just really beginning to seem like a reality now.
And when/if it comes, we're going to see a real run. Not all of us have seen that before. Many of us came in after that first one last fall. I myself have yet to experience it.
I love how Steve states that the Host folks were anxious to introduce Tivus to the Hyatt and Omni folks.
I can hardly imagine what that day is gonna be like when we get a contract PR.
Get 'er done Doug.
Seems like the ad revenue cannot be the only paycheck. I the hotel is purchasing a software suite that allows them to tap into the revenue stream. So it would be odd if it ended up only being the advertisers themselves paying Tivus, i.e. for ad space.
One issue that confuses the matter, obviously, is this whole question about who pays for the tv's (i.e. hardware). But even supposing it is true that the hotel always foots that bill, there is still the previous issue, i.e. the privilege/opportunity to tap into the revenue stream... in other words, the Tivus software.
That has to be worth something.
lol!
wow. 'international wanker.'
I hope you won't mind if I use that dude.
Picked up 50K today.
This is fun.
You can't even contain it, you can only hope to delay it!!
Going green at 2:01pm!
The million dollar question is... are we about to miss the sub-penny window? Normally I wouldn't worry, but again, this thing has been so stolid these past two days that I wonder if a change isn't in the air.
I have been bidding for some .0082's all day.
It is interesting indeed! This stock has behaved SO well for the past two days... I have to say that it has colored my whole outlook.
PS -
I only caught bits and pieces. Is ID trying to tell us that he owns more than 10% of the company? If so... geez. Play on, playa.
Thanks dude!
TIVU up 23% (ish) yesterday, 13% today!!
I think it is fair to say that we have here the long awaited reversal.
Are YOU on board?
It is fair to say that this is getting interesting.
Anyone wanna sell me some more of those .007's? Man those were great, even though I was only able to get a spoonful. I'm ADAC-ing my Scottrade over to my Thinkorswim right now. Thus funds frozen. Was hoping to get back up to 500K with one more sub-penny grab.
In other news... playing on my smartphone at 5am today, couldn't sleep, and discovered that Thinkorswim has an Android App! Live trading/streaming!! So sweet. I feel like a pro. Like I wanna go take a walk and trade at the same time just cause I can.
Now if I only had some cheddar. lol
Morning gentlemen,
I wouldn't be surprised if there were some otc-hobbyists among the crowds at HITEC that, after seeing the Tivus demo, and seeing the share price, jumped onto their laptops and picked up a few shares.
Wasn't able to get my acquaintance to get some pictures. He was only available to do it after 6pm, and I figured they'd be long done by them.
But Huncho was absolutely right about Tivus having their own hospitality suite - room 612 - in which they were demonstrating.
I really have my doubts that anyone on the TIVU staff had time to be concerned with photos amid all going on. Frankly I'd just love to hear more about these leads.
