Thank you Mr. Tibbs. Would have loved to have gone myself but UConn and my daughter come first. Daddy only has so much bread
to spread.
j
Arnold did you attend the shareholder meeting?
Why not?
You had the perfect forum with which to vent your concerns.
If you did not attend the meeting and feel this uncomfortable
with the company and management you just had your opportunity to stare the lion down. If I were as wrapped up in this investment as you seem to be Arnold I would have attended despite the cost of airfare and stuff. No excuses.
Excuse makers are a dime a dozen. Just take a look at the Bush administration if you need proof.
If you own it ya gotta do it! No excuses.
jj
Just a suggestion to those who complain like a broken record repeating the same things, who claim they own the stock amd are SO concerned about the welfare of this company.
Attend the shareholders meeting next time and ask the hard questions you have been posting on this message board to
those people you keep beating down.
It may be well worth the airfare to get all of these issues off your chest(s) once and for all. It may also help you make a better informed investment decision by going there in person.
JJM
Mr. Kibbles has been stinking the house up lately. Coincidence?
Maybe the bollinger bands are about to expel something soon.
jj
Paul that is old news.
All we can do is wait. I am sure we are all being ripped off
as I type this out........
At least that is what some here would have you believe.
j
Good let Lay and Skilling burn. World Con(Com) was another disaster along with Enron. Top executives should be held totally accountable. The I did not know routine is no excuse.
Too many folks who were honest hard working people lost their jobs at Enron. Looks like Kenny may have to sell a massive house or two or three. Could not happen to a nicer crook.
Hope they both rot in jail. No pity party from me.
JJM
Many stock indexes are down right now. No reason to panic.
That is unless one really believes there is no future with synDNA. If so sell and move on. Simple.
j
Well this is a first. I do not ever recall BigB posting a retort like this.
Right on the money BigB.
IF the share price drop is due solely to the Aldevron deal "going no delivery/no cash yet" I would be totally shocked.
There are other reasons stocks go up only to retreat to previous levels. It happens!
Arnold take a short break fronm the board a while and do yourself a favor. If you demand an answer then call Aldevron or CYGX and demand one as to the delivery and payment received of synDNA to Aldevron.
Better yet book a flight to Houston and go to the SHM.
Put management on the spot in front of other investors.
How many weeks have you been harping on this Arnold?
If you are not sure of this investment then perhaps you should bag it and move on. Sounds like you are not so sure to me. You may even end up glad you did bag it and walk away.
Who knows.
jjm
G do not forget the mass quantities as well.
j
Again ThalioWizbanger nice try. No cigar for you though.
Thal try going here.
http://www.promega.com/hr/us/
If said individual got laid off as you suggest due to Promega's budget constraints why is it Promega is hiring so many people?
Budget constraints?
You will have to do better than that Thal.
Which street did you hear that on? (smile)
Do some due dill before you splatter something on this board Thal.
We on this board are too intelligent for deception and lies.
Thank you
Jimmy
ThalioWizbanger as you posted: "Can you say DILUATION??????"
No. I for the life of me would not want to say DILUATION whatever that is. You meant to say dilution.
Dilution seems to be a favorite buzz word among many stocks these days. You go Thal. (smile)
j
We are on the same page BigB. Thank you.
By the by you are a very good asset to have on this board.
JJM
BigB you left a large pharmaceutical to go to a small biotech startup. Without going into personal reasons why would someone like Dr. Ma make the jump knowing CYGX is strapped for cash at the moment? Maybe you can give better insight.
TIA
JJM
Reasons may always be subject to conjecture.
Why Ma left is opened to speculation just as with anyone getting a new position at another company.
I know what you are thinking. Why would anyone settle for a position at CYGX when there are plenty of big name biopharmas
out there he could hook up with? That is the million dollar
question. Plus the fact that he will be working with other world class scientists both at CYGX and in acedemia/healthcare throughout the country.
Interesting isn't it?
jjm
Arnold I would suggest you check out Promega. Dr. Ma
left that company to come work for Cytogenix? Why?
Check out the entire Promega website. Check out their products.
Not too shabby.
Think about it. I know. Let the revenue start to roll in.
I too am anxious.
Jimmy Joe
As with all speculative stocks one must weigh all the pros and cons. The positive people come along with the negative people which makes for a good balance. The negative people tend to bring the positive people back to reality. It
is a normal situation in my opinion.
The one very encouraging item in the last PR is about using
the Biosafety Level 4 (BSL4) "space suit" laboratory. Dr. Shope must be impressed with something about CYGX technological advantage. It is not often that such small companies as CYGX get this type of opportunity. Much larger companies generally get use of a facility like this at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
Now that Dr. Ma is joining CYGX to head synthetic DNA production it will take some of the burden off of other
scientists so that they can concentrate on validation and other work at hand.
Things are slow in progressing. Dr. Ma would not have left Promega if things were dire at Cytogenix. I think just the opposite may be true.
Anyway it is off to cut the lawn before the big whopper
thunderstorms roll in this afternoon.
JJM Ltd
"The GE work on "smallpox" may yet be another arrow in the quiver."
Speculation. Shear speculation. Right Mr. Tibbs?
j
specul8 I was sarcastic. There is way too much negativism on this board IMHO.
The collaborative efforts are pretty wide in scope. At this point I would not care if Gee Dubya/Dickster Cheney was CEO/CFO.
Things are going well despite what others post. They do not like it. Tough toenails.
The GE work on "smallpox" may yet be another arrow in the quiver.
One day it will all be put in a nice PR that will blow the price of this holding to very nice levels. And yes there will be a revenue stream to build on.
JJM
Yes and the world could end tomorrow. Not likely.
j
Now now specul8 lets not get too thrilled over this PR. I am sure there is a dark cloud looming somewhere nearby.
jjm
Arnold you posted " I think it is possible for someone in this world to make a synthetic DNA as good as CYGX and maybe better."
Maybe yes maybe no. Until it is written down as done it has not been done. If another can come up with better faster cheaper without pirating CYGX proprietary intellectual property I say more power to them.
It has yet to be done. It takes time as in months years not
days weeks.
Todays PR is another peek into the future. With so many collaborating with CYGX I think it is relatively safe to say
they have the goods or something damn close to it.
Proof will be in the pudding.
Now if they can just complete that sale by delivering the goods to Aldevron before third world countries get their feet into it.
Jimmy Joe
Arnold
So what you are telling me is that the WTO is going to dictate
what drugs will come into the US regardless of compliance standards set by the FDA? The FDA will turn a blind eye and set different standards for those manufacturers overseas in countries like India and China?
Granted companies are trying right now to move facilities.
It is not going to be a cake walk Arnold and the consequences may end up costing more than the savings.
So what does this have to do with CYGX ssDNA?
Arnold I work in this industry.....nice try.
JJM
China already copies everything Arnold. Old news.
Will they be able to sell it legit though?
Do not think so. You can black cloud all you want.
If they want to sell legit they will have to comply
with rules and regs. Otherwise it is illegal.
I think the appropriate word for this is PIRACY.
jj
"CYGX is not alone in this world, China, Russia, India. You most strike while the iron is hot. SHIP THE syn DNA . Get the show on the road."
First let me tell you that ANYONE threatening any pharmaceutical employees with losing their jobs in the US to India and China because they can make it cheaper should have their head examined. Not for at least another decade or two.
Oh they have plenty of brilliant people in those countries to do a splended job. That I am not denying.
If for one moment you or anyone else is dillusional enough to think that companies in those countries would get past FDA scrutiny you had better rethink it.
Companies in the States have a hard enough time trying to get past the FDA. Some even have sites shut down because they failed to obey or comply with what was asked of them. If companies here cut corners to try to get over on the FDA do you think India and China will be better? Nope. Aint going to happen.
They will be able to sell generics and such to other third world countries not the States. Even if they manage to get product approval for sale in the US all it will take is one
mishap where some folks get killed or severely injured due to the product then it will be major lawsuit time on a household name pharmaceutical company. Wyeths Phen Phen conjur any momories? Does the Astra Zeneca drug the FDA would not allow
approval for human clinicals in the States but chose to test it in Japan where it killed over 100 people a fews years back bring any momories? I do not think it will be easy.
Oh I forgot to mention that some companies tried to get into
the pharma business in the States but failed miserably. One is Dupont which used to be Dupont/Merck. Some of the generics they were having problems getting validated and ultimately never did.
There were bright people at Dupont/Merck at that time.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Now as for Synthetic DNA "CYGX is not alone in this world".
Really now?
As far as Cytos process goes I disagree I think they are alone.
Yes the Indians and Chinese and (?)Russians(?) can use their
fermentation synDNA but I think Cyto's is superior by a long shot. Not even close both from a time and quality standpoint.
Why are you so impatient?
Jimmy Joe
weak hands sold
That could be. I tend to think it was one or two investors
who sold their positions and the market makers just took
advantage of stop losses.
Those investors could have bought in the $0.20 range and just tired of the waiting game. There are some interesting plays out there. They may end up coming back to CYGX if the above scenario did indeed happen.
jj
OT: Bigworld what do you think of VVUS?
TIA
jj
A late filing may drop the price but this much?
The latest PR was more fluff than stuff.
Some companies are habitually late with filings. I have no problem with that as I do not know why it is late. Could be a good reason for it.
G you say NOTHING has changed at cygxland.
I believe you.
Maybe mms are taking advantage of no significant news in a while from cygxland?
Shareholders is May 24th? I DO agree with you that some here seem too impatient and that patience is needed.
I also think some are nervous until CYGX gets their hands on some real dough from a real sale of the product. In that regard I too am always a bit nervous until everything is a done deal and CYGX has its money.
Stay tuned.
Frank
Neo43 and all. It was my selling that caused all of this.
Those 30 shares I bought last week for $1.21 I sold for $1.27
today which triggered a major retreat in the shareprice.
Stop losses were put into play upon my selling and snowballed
out of control.
I apologize. Next time I will let you all know in advance.
jjm
I agree phillysea. IF a big PR hits this one could take off
like it did during the run to $1.50s. This time it will be much higher. More like $2.00.
LBIX is bouncing around. Mike Hunt does not think there are too many with short positions and that if it makes a run it will be on its own strength. Much like Barbaro. (BIG SMILE)
JJM
Paul if we could only blow that picture up to see is Alfa Laval has their stamp on it.
Even though this is 4 months old one can only wonder if it is
CYGX synDNA they are working with. From what we can derive from this message board as information we have shared in the past we can assume that CYGX synDNA is much more active than
that DNA manufactured by fermentation of E.coli.
Also supposedly Cytogenix synDNA is much faster to make.
So glad I added those 30 shares last week.
Jimmy Joe
gutaquest do you think there are also plant applications as in crop applications for synDNA?
j
On another similar note validation of synDNA is a priority if this protein is to be eventually used on humans.
Nice news today concerning livestock.
CYGX technology(s) is getting noticed.
jj
Now I could be wrong with my last post. It certainly does look like more accumulation is taking place at this level.
News could come at almost anytime.
Right Thal? (smile)
JJM
One point I will make here and this could have an effect on timing. Cytogenix from what I was told by a high source is trying to get its synthetic DNA validated. I do not know if this is a priority but that is the gist of it. Whether this plays any part in a delay of news I would not know.
If validation is a priority and some entity needs to have
it validated then I think it is safe to say there must be a damn good reason. For that I am willing to wait for even a longer than usual time.
As for playing longshots I do not. Barbaro was the odds on favorite and that is what I played. I won $293.50. Should have played a $2 exacta but had no idea Barbaro was this strong a horse nor did I have a good feel for the field.
This horse is special and has a great chance to win the triple crown. Cytogenix could be right there with Barbaro.
I am willing to wait.
Jimmy Joe Meeker
No competiton in the process of synthetic DNA as CYGX makes it. This process is under patent application by CYGX.
JJ
Thal I love it when you post. Paul thanks for the heads up on NITE.
jjm ltd
I purchased 30 more shares today. (laughing)
Yes. You read my post correctly.
Seems as though a settlement with Merrill Lynch for $50 smackers came through which I promptly put in my Fidelity
IRA. That brings my total IRA holdings to a staggering
380 shares! Bought them at the very end of the day today.
Of course I have my Roth IRA and my regular brokerage account too.
Did I mention LBIX? Jones Soda JSDA reported 27% increase in revenues over previous 1st Q. After hours JSDA up to $9.80.
Jones revenues were not all that though.
HANS to release revenues on Tuesday.
LBIX up to $3.50 after hours on Jones revenue news.
HANS earnings expected to have an effect on LBIX.
LBIX bottles for HANS.
Wish I had bought Hansen beverage about 2 years ago.
JJM
gutaquest I enjoy reading your posts.
Very well put.
j
ocelot or may I call you Anne Francis or does Honey West
suit your fancy?
"Stop jamming the internet with fear and stupidity."
"The company does not need an IR team; stop crying and start acting like rational adults."
Your post says it all. In fact you may be your own worst enemy.
If you want censorship please go to Germany circa 1938. Thanks.
Jimmy Joe
With all repect to you Paul, Lou may have had an eye for value
but at this stage of this stocks life I still think Lou would be into more conservative "values".
During Wall Street Weeks short run I never remember them mentioning any speculative plays and certainly no OTCbbs.
But dream if you must.
