And there you have it. It's all there In the timeline if you actually do your homework, which of course you have been doing for years. 150 production has migrated to outsourcing to keep up with orders, 220 production and R&D in house. In Addition to sales, imagine the size and revs of service contracts in a couple years. Take a look at some of the competitors for like equip, they are eye popping!
Glorified secretary, nuff said. Based on some posts here today, I think I hear the ice crackin under the feet of a few "permafrost longs". Getting close, stay the course and keep your eye on the prize.
And that would be in the upper right corner..

FWIW I would rather Glenn's talents be greater at, and focused on building the biz, than investor relations. We can postulate till the cows come home, but no one seems to be selling.
One fine day..
That's a different state, and foreign owned company. Tierney validated it through several visits to Implant over the last couple years, and combined with prior gov orders as well as a TSA safety seal it stands to reason they will.are be getting work.
Place yer bets boys..
Think of the level of backround screening new hires have to go through due to the sensitive nature of the products. Intellectual piracy is big biz in this arena, they will all be signing NDA's in their employee contracts. I'm certain they would not have received this grant without validated proof of future revenues. This has taken some time, but a nice domestic high tech biz growth story unfolding here..
To steal a fave quote from the second amendment crowd, you can have my shares-when you pry them from my cold dead hands.
Still in R&D. You have to look at the chronology of recent PR's to get an idea where they are headed. And before someone here chimes in these new hires couldn't get work anywhere else check their backrounds.

That's a very honest post and one I agree with 100%. I think their silence is a good thing, as nothing they release seems to draw new money in and or affect the SP. At this point, they just need to get it though vetting and close deals. One day the right catalyst or two will happen, then it moves into a different audience of investors. Very frustrating hold for sure, only because of the potential and that's why no one's selling yet.
Z,i'll concede they have struggled, what they are accomplishing has never been done before let alone by an American company. We know they have NDA's in place with more than a few companies. If they were to reveal those clients, might we see a higher SP based on the association with recognized brand name companies?
True. It's either one or the other- they are struggling to land biz, or they have the biz just can't comment at the present time. I choose the latter. They aren't selling widgets to Wall Mart, where they could pump sales, it's a highly sensitive area they are entering. I seem to recall a recent job placement by them pertaining to " experience writing NDA contracts" so that tells me if they are going establish a postion for that in particular there's going to be a few of them written. We already know the sales announcements to date are shades of grey and vauge- which lends to clients not wanting the press. The dots are connecting, in slow fashion but clearly they are moving fwd.
Instead of not caring, perhaps when they passed qualification they entered a level of non disclosure association with TSA. For my money, that's what i'm going with as opposed to not caring about shareholders. I can handle a quiet period, it's been all that for many months. Question everyone here should be asking, is when the old girl pops out of the cake, will she be holding 100% of the ETD market?
New month.
August was one of the most quiet one's here in recent memory, here's to Sept being one to remember for opposite reason.
"Smiths and Safran multibillion dollar companies whose very minimal income is coming from ETD"
Bingo. They had no answer for Implant's patented tech, so they vacated the sector. Get ready for potentially 100% of the ETD market.
My reason for investing here has and will continue to be the patented technology. I am conviced Smiths and Morpho have no answer, and have vacated the ETD marketplace. Neither are U.S. based, one was recentely involved with a federal lawsuit with our Government. IMSC is a pure play, those other two have many other iron's in the fire. Based on recent PR's from them it seems they are re directing efforts in other areas of technology/servicing of legacy equip etc. Typical progressive movement by TSA, but when sorted out I think it will be worth the wait, which has been a very long one. Rest of the year will be interesting,we should have a pretty good idea where we stand by then.
Hope is buying lotto tickets, hope is not a strategy. My strategy & reality is i'm up six figures here. How bout you?
Perspective
Z,do you really believe they are sitting on their hands at this point?. It's been conspicuously quiet of late, I view that as a good sign. It's all going to play out here in due time,Glenn would love to tell us,but NDA's preclude that(and if he did the first words out of most peoples mouths would be when?). Some will squirm at the mention of NDA's, but they are fact for most companies with gov links. I'm happy to wait for earnings, and like you will continue to ride along here, to much lower levels if need be. It's going to turn on a dime with the right catalyst, and contrary to the detractors mantra just because it hasn't happened yet doesn't mean it won't. I'll take a TSA/FBO document over a text field on here anyday-because it's fact over opinion!
Comparing Netflix to Imsc is a bit of a stretch. Regarding less risk, you are correct this is not that place. Clearly there are those who should not be in a company like this. Pretty hard to demand results from a company in it's infancy, unlike a cash machine like NFLX which has a proven track record. Regarding cost, well those of us that got in years ago deserve to be up, that's the way it works. We had our share of grinding like those who are down now- like when it floated around .30 for a year.
Yes, it was 1.14 two years ago, it's a lot less of a risk now at the same SP. I have a few shares, as much as some BOD members. Couldn't be happier with their progress. Demanding results on any "investors" own timeline is not consistent with logic. Paradigm shifts/disruptive technologies don't happen every day or switch on overnight. Make no mistake, this is disruptive technology. We all have our entry /exit strategies ,you have to stick with that. If they haven't performed to your expectations, the first pop will serve as a exit strategy to end the pain. But I think even most detractors are going to hold through the pain, and whine, because even they respect the company's potential. I still would take 50 shares of IMSC over 1 of NFLX at $60, because my risk/reward tolerance is higher than most.
Another brick in the wall

Implant Sciences Wins Contracts for 12 Explosives Trace Detectors to U.S. Government
Sale Includes Both Desktop and Handheld Quantum Sniffers(TM)
Dec 03, 2012 (Marketwire via COMTEX) --Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCQB: IMSC), a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security and defense markets, today announced the sale of a combination of twelve Quantum Sniffer™ QS-B220 desktop explosives and drugs trace detectors and Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 handheld explosives trace detectors to several U.S. Government agencies. The twelve units will be deployed for both civilian and military applications in building and facility security.
"These sales are a direct result of Implant Sciences' investment in U.S. Government sales and marketing. The demonstrated performance, reliability, and ease of use of our Quantum Sniffers are attracting increased awareness and acceptance with federal procurement officials. We anticipate that we will continue to grow our share of this important market," stated Implant Sciences' Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Dr. Darryl Jones.
Nice find b!, Am I reading too much in to this?
"is the only vendor capable of providing the "required" QS-B220 Benchtop Explosive and Narcotics Trace Detection System"
I'd rather have 25 more shares, pig that I am ;)
Global explosive trace detection (ETD) technologies market to reach $830M in 2013
http://www.asdnews.com/news-50528/Global_explosive_trace_detection_(ETD)_technologies_market_to_reach_$830M_in_2013.htm
"The report provides profiles and market share data for the 10 leading companies operating within the explosive trace detection market, and includes 2 exclusive expert interviews with companies that are involved with trace detection – Vaporsens and Implant Sciences - providing expert insight alongside analysis."
Interview was with Brad Chase
Another way to look at it- when they weren't on the list it was trading at 1.15,now they are the only one on the list and it's trading at 1.15. I like their chances much better in this scenario;)
It's only going to $3 on substantive news, and best believe the move from $3-$10 will be much easier than getting to $3
"I think they are right to wait for the product to be fully qualified by TSA before they strike up the band"
Agreed, as they have que'ed up said band in many forms to date with the same outcome. Let's face it an OTC gets less respect than Rodney. 99% of investors won't touch em as 99% of them are jabroni pump and dump specials. Now they crack out a few more multi million $$ orders, follow through with pass screening approval and THEN unleash a industry PR blitz as the only approved ETD pure play..
Apple promotes themselves because they compete with other electronic devices sold at Wall Mart. Implant has no competition at the moment, they won't need to build a brand if that remains the case. Maybe Glenn can tape a few more corporate profile interviews with a hottie or two, that really worked well in the past.
How do we know that isn't happening right now behind NDA's?
let's just say I'm glad it has made the transition from momo play nickel stock to one that actually has a good shot a getting off this snake pit OTC and back on a real exchange. 99.9% don't.
Interesting. Glancing at some of the recent pics on your board, it scares the crap out of me. OTC's trading at .05 with a 300M float trading 1M shares daily. It scares me because it reminded me of when I got in IMSC at .06 and it was a day 2 day whether they would go belly up. Actually looking back then their float was about half of what it is currentely-remarkable considering. Because of that the upside here is potentially significant IMO
I think that's well within the realm of probability-love the Freudian slip also;)
I had the opportunity to meet Glenn at a corporate event in Vegas in spring of 2011. Spent about 45 min talking with him, Todd Silvestri, and Bob Liscouski. I'm a pretty good judge of character, and my Bandini meter has served me well in life. These are some very genuine and dedicated individuals, they are very passionate about what their company is trying to accomplish in the war on terror. The strides the company has made since then is nothing short of remarkable. I think there is a good chance they will be the only real player in the ETD market going fwd due to the IP. To quote another source, that will equate to a lot of pizza pies in due time. Has this been a frustrating hold? no question toughest I have ever had. That's not entirely because it's languished at these levels for three years, but because those that have been here long enough had a good idea it would get to the point it's at now. I have never waited on a stock as long as this one- could punch out tomorrow and it would have been an unqualified success, but it hasn't even got out of the blocks yet. We might have to wait longer still, but I truly think this is a once or twice in a investing lifetime opportunity to get in on the first floor of a company with disruptive tech, and the mgmt team to get it to market. They are under NDA's, and that probably includes private as well as gub-mint relationships. So if they chose to forecast it would be in generalizations, it would not affect SP because it's vague, like the contracts already announced.
Sounds like some here are expecting google level earnings from an OTC. Boy wouldn't It be nice to buy a stock at $1 and get a ten bagger-happens every day. Oh and on your personal investing /flipping timeline not the company or clients. There are around 3k shareholders here, the market doesn't know or care we moved across the street.
Let em build the beast.

"Draft and review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)"
I have been hammering this point for quite awhile. Glenn would love nothing more than to shout out who the clients are,as well as quantity. The bulk of these orders are going to be non disclosure-just look at the booked one's and it's apparent. I'm content to wait for earnings, which are really what it's all about from a long standpoint.

Shotgun wedding, lol. I loved reading the phrase " next generation of ETD technology" in that FBO synopsis, only heard it used one other place for the last couple of years..
