$4.58 sounds like a great target to me!
Actually, if GE gets into the action, which I'm sure they will, they are the ones most likely to buy Molycorp.
I work for a very large world wide bearing manufacturing company for 18 years now, and I've seen GE buy out many very large companies.
Siemens AG in Germany is also one of our biggest customers. They are a very well oiled machine, and are a very fast growing company.
This is exactly why I'm planning to leave about 1/4 of my shares to ride for a while.
Unless there is a new release.
I agree with that. There are a lot of big investors that consider inside buys as a huge buy signal for them.
Howdy all! I just came across this board after following BLUE from the MCP board and decided to follow it.
I haven't played this one for a while, but only because I am concentrating on others, but REN has been on my watchlist for a while and has a ton of potential if you want to check that one out.
It's been on the move and is in the overbought area now. Should be retracing soon I would think, and will make a good entry point.
There has been some insider buying, and as long as the oil market is recovering, this should continue to do well. In fact, if oil comes back strong, I see no reason this couldn't return to the $9.00 price range!
That is definitely exciting. No doubt Tesla is already seriously looking at Molycorp.
The announcement of a contract with Tesla would put MCP through the roof!
No video chart, but I could make a video of me selling for 3 bucks in a few days or weeks!
Absolutely! There will be money to be made next week.
Look what shorting has done to Molycorp. Sirius is another company heavily shorted. There should at least be stronger limitations put on it.
Much better than yesterday! Nice consolidation here today.
I was considering selling half my shares this morning and buying back at a lower price today. Glad I decided to wait and see first!
Actually, I saw the entire 60 Minutes piece when it was on a few weeks ago. Good stuff!
Nice article. Thanks for posting that.
This is why I have every intention of leaving 10K of my current shares to ride for a while after taking profit with the rest.
Did you notice there was no disclaimer on that Alpha story. The author generally states whether he/she owns stock and whether long or short.
But then it's pretty obvious the they're short.
A nice ascending triangle forming on the 5 minute intraday chart. It's getting ready to pop. Hopefully in the upwards direction!
There's your 1.03.
The train has left the station, and it's loaded with minerals!
It looks like we're going to open where we left off yesterday. That's good. No gap to consider down the road!
And never buy in the first 10 minutes after a big run up either.
Cramer is probably short MCP!
Everytime he yells SELL SELL SELL, he's already sold short!
Volume is picked up again!
There's .80!
Next breakthrough is the 1.00 barrier!
I agree, I think the news flow is just beginning!
Almost 2 million in volume in the last 5 minutes!
There's that .75 break! Off to the races.
Yes sir! And the key is in the door right now and ready to open it up!
Waiting to see a break above the .75 open. Then we could take off!
Aaaaah, my .69 buy order just filled! That has to be my final buy. Locked and loaded!
That's what I'm looking for. I was going to add one more time yesterday but didn't.
Breaking a dollar should happen today once the market opens and the volume really picks up.
Especially when more shorts scramble to cover.
It looks like the shorts are trying to bring it down in pre-market. Taking advantage of the smaller volume.
The high percentage of short interest in MCP is going to create a hulluva squeeze!
Awesome news! Gap up open for sure this morning!

My favorite part of this news story:
"The contract with Shin-Etsu and Molycorp is an important step for us in sourcing magnet materials for our direct drive wind turbines," said Morten Rasmussen, Head of Technology at Siemens Wind Power and Renewables Division. "We strive for diversification in the sourcing of these components to improve independency from specific markets."
I think we all know who Siemens is talking about when speaking of independency from specific markets.
I can't find any news out. Except for the fact that they are presenting at the 14th Annual Needham Healthcare Conference tomorrow, (April 15th).
Maybe someone knows that there will be some big news there.
I'm sure the possibilities are endless.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the US government step in with support to get them profitable in the competition with China.
On a positive note, yesterday's gap has been filled!
Nice video Blue! Thanks for the post.
