I think it was for Nascar, but may be its their AAA minor league Nationwide series. Or could be the truck series. Either of those three, the prior post still applies.
Now it could be a small regional series, but that is not what I got from those posts.
And for all of them I forgot the traveling costs. Big semis to truck the cars to weekly events. Then the trucks to house the crews. And don't forget food and entertainment expenses amd gasoline and racing fuel. Oh brother, don't get us going on fuel costs.
Even local races are extemely expensive. Just sounds like a moneymaker for the web site.
But hey, it only costs $50 and you could get $40 back, maybe.
Man, I am starting to sound like read all about it, Extra.
FFF is right with one observation. There is no way you can buy a car for Nascar and then run it for a year. First there is the cost of the car. Then you would need replacement parts and probably at least two other engines in case they blow. Then you need a complete pit crew that might consist of 10 or more members, all probably making over 100,000 a piece. These aren't your typical grease monkeys. They are highly skilled. Then there is the sophisticated equipment they use. Ever watch one of those races? And then you have to find and pay for a driver. or two. Then there are entry and qualifying fees. And on and on.
One million isn't gonna cut it.
But hey, if it doesn't work, you can get most of your money back.
Let's see $10 x 20,000 = $200,000. Not a bad take for a little web site.
And don't try and compare it to the British soccer team. That team already existed and they went public. Fans there control nothing but bragging rights.
Could work though, but one million won't get it done.
Trusting Him, you make no sense at all. On one hand you say "It doesn't matter what Eric says..." and on the other hand you admit to getting badly burned in another stock, where I suppose you trusted that CEO.
It would seem to me, that you of all people, would dissect his memos to the nth degree.
I have hit big a couple of times, but I admit, I also have been badly burned by trusting CEO's commments, ie. LOUD, PTSC. You better believe I won't believe any of them anymore.
Those CEO's sounded as good as Eric and they either lied or hedged the truth.
Eric doesn't have to give out any figures, just tell us what phase we are in. The Truth, not some flowery words.
There is a HUGE discrepancy here on sales and that should raise red flags here for everyone, not just me.
Pug, not true. He is clearly stating that we have not done over one million in sales. Yet we have supposedly sold over 1.8 million bottles as close of last year. That is one of my problems with Eric. He writes extremely well and knows what he is saying, but he obfuscates its meaning to the readers of his memos. He is clear as a bell when he wants to be, but other times it sounds like he is a patent attorney, writing a patent application.
We are priced, pps wise, at below one million in sales. If we were at 8 million, OH BABY.
I think we are at the one million mark and that is why I don't like the 1.8 million bottle remark.
Maybe he is using Rocket's "two bottles a day" figures?
Just kidding, Rocket.
Back to basics. Eric has basically stated in todays memo, that we are still in the initial phase, which means below 1 million in sales. Yet, in his 11-08 memo that was posted yesterday, he stated that they were on pace to sell 1.8 million bottles of Winning Colours. With a 50% margin and with the large bottle going for around 9.00. That would mean gross sales of 1.8 x 4.50 = 8.1 million in sales volume.
So which is correct?
<I realize that this is an elite group within the world of investors because it takes tremendous personal judgement and self confidence. I have always believed, and acted on the principle, that unsuitable investors should be filtered out prior to ever joining this group through such frank characterizations.>
Okay, let's do a poll. Do you think Eric would put me in the "elite" group or the "unsuitable investor" group? Be nice now.
OT: Lucky, the best thing you can do with that board is to put it away or bury it. Too crowded now. One less board, would help matters greatly. And I couldn't care less who once rode it, as long as it is not ridden now. LOL!
Certainly he was snooping. He is invested in a stock that has a product starting to take off. That is excellent dd. An investor wants to be in on the ground floor, early, before anyone else knows about it. You know, buy low and sell high. If you wait for the product to be fulling established, you will be buying high. May still go higher, but you will have lost a great deal by not doing your dd and getting in ahead of the herd.
The way he or she went about their investigation, sounded very innocent to me.
This is a public company, pink or otherwise. He or she as a shareholder, not only has a right, but an obligation to keep up on his investments.
You've got to be kidding me. You mean if you really desired some product and you walked into a store and the clerk didn't have a clue, you would stop there? Give me a break. The clerk doesn't know, you go to the dept. manager. That person doesn't know you go to the store manager. And if that person doesn't know, you try to find out who does their ordering and so on.
What if the product you wanted was a new medicine and you or someone you loved needed it. You think you would stop looking if the clerk didn't know?
Too many people here have fallen in love with Eric. He writes very well and seems to be a great CEO, but he is not you know who. Bernie Egberts and Ken Lay were both real nice people who were thought to be great CEO's. They probably wrote well too and their companies did well for a long time. How they doing now?
Trust but verify!
Me thinks he doth protest too much...
I understand Eric's consternation about bothering our partners, but I still don't understand what Cashn did wrong. Let me use an example. I surf. The board I use most busted a fin. It had a unique set up and I the person who shaped the board did not have that set up anymore. I started to call all the surf board shops in the county. Nothing. Finally after weeks of frustration (I really like that board) I contacted a glassing company in San Diego. I spoke with a person whose name I did not get, but who told we that he remembered that set-up. He said that there was an adapter you could get and use with other fins. But he didn't know who carried it. So I went back to calling all the local surf shops looking for the adapter. None had a clue. But latter, I went into my local shop and right there on the wall behind the register was the adapter.
Isn't that what Cashn did? He was trying to find a product that was being advertised in a national magazine, that indicated Lowe's was or would be carrying it.
I don't think Cashn is working for anybody else but himself.
And it was Cash not Crash.
That was a very lenghty response by Eric, for something that was innocently done. Nobody else sees that here, but that raises a red flag for me.
And why was he critizing flippers, when he himself said that was a good trading technique at this point in time?
Go ahead, let me have it.
Ok, I get it now. You want me to read and understand ALL of your post, not just the part I skim or gloss over!
That's asking a lot Rocket.
<IMO its VERY reasonable and ive backed it up...>
You are making my point. You haven't backed it up, it is apparently UNREASONABLE. If we were doing that type of business, we should be way over the implementation phase. According to Eric, as of 11-08, we are not even out of the initial phase, even though we are in Walmart and Home Depot, among others in Canada.
92834, don't kill the messenger. If he had posted something positive, you would have glowingly congratulated him.
Btw, Eric in one of his recent memos, acually praised those that might have made money on some of the recent run-ups. I believe he called it good trading. You call it flipping. Same thing.
I bought my wife in at .0055. Sold at .009. Should have sold at .0010. Bought back in at .008 and .0085. I am not a good trader, er, flipper. But I want to be.
Welcome back. It is not that I am misquoting you, it is the tone that was conveyed, at least to me, when you posted those projections.
I've been on many boards where people pump and dump. I don't believe that you are doing that, but a person reading those posts, with the tone that was there; could, possibly, maybe, want to buy a whole lot of shares with money they shouldn't be gambling. Those people may be hugely underwater now.
Hype is hype, whether you intended it to be or not, it came across that way to me.
I just want the "Truth", nothing more. Eric needs to put out sales numbers. I don't care now about the O/S, A/S. Just tell us what we have done and what we may be doing in the near future.
Mustang, you seem like a nice person, but you have blinders on. When Rocket was posting his "two bottles a day", you never questioned him.
You have committed the cardinal sin of falling in love with this stock.
This apparently is a diamond in the rough. But it is exactly that. It may never be discovered, or if found, never cut right.
We are on the ground floor, only if it takes off. Otherwise, we are still on the floor.
Just Ant, your post of 67509, was right on the money. People, including Rocket, do not want to hear that. The real reason Eric has not told us what phase we are in, is that we are still in the implementation stage. That's fine, I just wish he would keep us up to date on where we are now and some guidance on where we might be by June 09 and Dec. 09.
Rocket's posting of two bottles a day sales, has people thinking they will be millionaires by June. He is a great person for due diligence, but I think he did a disservice by posting those figures. He made it sound like they should have no trouble doing that. And the implication was that they were doing so now. If we were, Canada alone should have taken us well into the growth stage. Your posting of Erics' Nov. 08 memo, indicates that as of Nov. 08 we are still in the Implementation stage.
Either Rockets' way off, and we are nowhere near the sales some thought we would be, or Erics' holding back some great numbers.
The pps says he isn't.
I'm gonna get hammered for this post.
No, I am talking about the revenue. What we sell to our distributors and retail customers. I am not talking about "earnings".
If we know what phase we are in, we will know what are "revenue" is.
And Rocket did not leave. If you remember, he posted that he was going on a vacation and would not be looking at a computer while he is gone.
I don't believe that he won't look, but that is what he said.
Does anyone here believe that a guy who is on this board 24/7, is leaving because somebody said something he disagrees with?
Oh no, another ending preposition.
Oh please, he ain't leaving, even if he doesn't post for awhile. He just wnats people to stroke his ego and beg him to stay.
I'll attempt Rockets posts using figures.
Let's say we met our 2008 goal of selling 1.8 million bottles. And let's say we net $3.00 per bottle. That would make our revenue for Winning Colors to be 3 x 1.8 = $5,400,000 in revenue. Now the initial phase was up to 1mil and the implementation phase was 1 to 3mil. Next would be the growth stage of 3 to 5mil.
Eric said he would let us now if we have left the implementation phase by the end of 2008. Looks to me that we should be well past that phase.
Maybe we haven't done that well and that would be a bummer. But maybe we have and that would be something you would want to shout to the rooftops!
We don't have to have O/S numbers or revenue, just tell us what phase we are in. Oops, there's that preposition at the end of a sentence again. Oops.
Now Eric saying he doesn't care about the pps now is nonsensical. We know he is diluting. Wouldn't it be better for the company to sell into a higher pps then now? If the company needs money and the only way to do that is by diluting, then get the pps up and dilute into a higher pps! Telling us that we are have left the implementation phase and are well into the growth phase would do it.
Am I missing something?
Just for the record.
I love what Rocket brings to this board. The best DD I have seen on any board.
He's the man.
Just don't tell Richard Steele that he listens to and agrees with Rush Limbaugh.
Btw Rocket, since you are so concerned with those losing money in the market. And you appear to be upset with those here that appear to be greedy, asking the same questions over and over.
I initially bought in at .027. I am underwater here as I am sure are many others. I am slowing trading my way back to even. I figure I might be even around .015.
So I am one of those that have lost money here. Somehow, I just don't feel greedy, asking the questions I have been asking.
Last time I checked the "Fairness Doctrine" has not been re-upped.
Rocket, we don't want a phony revenue figure. We just want to know what they have done up to 2008 and what they have done til now. No wild projections, just, "give us the facts maam".
Also, maybe he could bring us up to date on where we are on the various phases. He was supposed to do that at the end of 2008.
You know, it is okay to ask pertinent questions of the CEO who runs the company you are invested in. (I know, never end a sentence with a preposition).
Sheesh!
Weird. Basically, all of the buys today were at the ask of .0085 and all of the sells were also at the ask of .0085. Didn't move the ask or bid either way. I gave in and bought 305880 at .0085. Then the MM moved the ask to .009 so that the slappers could get their kicks and show a EOD of .009.
I don't know what is more pathetic.
All the sells are going off at the ask but the price isn't moving. I am sitting on around 400000 on the bid and so are others and no takers.
What's up with that? Either give me my 400000 or raise the ask.
We don't have to have financials IMO. Eric just needs to tell us we have left the implementation phase and we are in or nearing the growth stage. With all the latest PR's, we should already be in the growth stage.
With all the stores we are in now, and all the other products we are selling, we should be there.
C'mon Eric, open the flood gates, dude.
Just bought my wife back in for 500,000 and want 490000 more. They showed as sells on Scottrade. Now who would be selling here after that news?
Eric, don't do that, if that is you.
Some say, "I like watching the plan come together". Others provide non stop dd. Eric lets out wonderful PR's. And yet...
The pps languishes. That PR - Oh boy, another after hours waste - has not hit my Scottrade alerts.
As FFF has stated - no one knows. I mean look at the volume today on wonderful news.
Eric is a one of a kind CEO, but he needs some work on his PR's!
Any oh yeah, Eric, where are we on the various phases? Are we out of the implementation phase yet? We should be way out. No guidance and we are going nowhere. And announcing Lowes later in March after the flop from the Daytona miss, will not move us much either.
We need numbers.
Am I deleted yet? Sheesh.
The problem with the military contracts is silence. How are we going to know how much they are selling? As someone has already posted; this is much bigger than a US NA. But again, how will we ever know.
The PR today should be huge, but the pps will not move because nobody knows what it might entail.
It would be helpful if Eric could just give some projections. But with silence, the pps is not gonna move.
Oh I know, someday Eric will let us know; when he feels it is the right time. But he was supposed to do it in 2006 and here it is 2009.
Patience, sure but for how long?
That memo from Eric was not his usual clear self. This memo was heavy in what I will call "legalese". I agree with an earlier poster who felt that the "pr" won't be coming out until much later. Maybe even Arpil or May. I don't know if it will be that late, but I don't feel we will get anything by the first of March.
Now we may get other pr's, but not the one we want.
Sold my wifes 913000 at .09. I wanted her to stay longer, but she sees what I see. I think we are going back to .008 or lower if we don't get some other pr before the Lowes pr.
Hey Rock...
Dude - Hey Rock. I can't seem to find it.
Rock - Find what?
Dude - You know the deal?
Rock - Oh yeah, where have you looked.
Dude - Well, under the rug.
Rock - Was it there?
Dude - No. Then I looked in the closet.
Rock - Was it there?
Dude - Nope. Then I looked in the garage and under the car.
Rock - Did you find it?
Dude - No again. So I got the ladder in looked in the ceiling. I looked everywhere and I can't ssem to find it.
Rock - Did you ask your wife? Maybe she put it away.
Dude - Yep, asked her first, as she knows where everything is.
Rock - Yeah I know, not like you. Anyway, what were we looking for?
Dude - Oh come on, you forgot already? I am looking for the freaking PR dude!
Adk... Hahahahahahaha.
Just got in from working on my new house we just purchased. Boy am I sore., on my knees all day. Saw the news, now I know how I am gonna help pay for it. Maybe even burn the mortgage.
I know I wanted Eric to get us something before Monday of next week or we were in trouble. And I know I hate for good news to come out on Friday, especially after the bell Friday. And then it turns out to be Friday the 13th. And the market here is closed Monday. Oh brother! I am not gonna be able to sleep this weekend or Monday.
Nice touch, Eric.
I'm gonna be so bummed if we don't get a major NA by next week at the latest. I don't work at the post office, but I may go postal. I don't believe in guns, but I may make an exception and go buy myself one of those AK-47's. I live in San Diego and there are a lot of drug cartel members living in the county. Maybe they can moonlight. They live here, because it's too dangerous to live in Tijuana. Bodies all over the place down there.
I may even take up drinking again. Oh wait, I never quit; bummer. Well, I might start drinking more than usual. I might even refuse to pay my taxes. That'll show'em.
I am wound up like a spinning top. Eric is making us sweat to the last minute. Maybe he is a sadist and this is just a game for him to torment us? That's evil man.
I think Rocket is Eric. Could be wrong, but as I always tell my wife - the lovely little lady - I am never wrong. And I don't need a street map dude, I know where I am going.
Pug, it's my fault. I have been asking too many doubting questions. I think Eric reads my posts. It used to be the closest store was 69 miles away in Laguna. Now it is over 436 miles away. I'm sorry. I'll try to be good and maybe Eric will get us some stores a litttttlee bit closer.
Lakdside! You know there is no life east of hwy 5,don't you?
Tib is right, they never forget nothin. And the best way to get them to remember, is to get them mad at you.
Thanks, I did look it up. <annual> 1. covering the period of a year. 2. once a year.
So, the people at race day 1, the 500 at Daytona and the millions who may get their subsciptions this week, look at the add go to the website and find...
Eric said in that memo last week he would let us know in one to two weeks the new account information. It needs to be done, before that race starts, otherwise it is a missed opportunity and also the pps will probably take a big hit.
That doesn't make sense that they would wait til later to announce a NA and/or put it in the USA1 locator. If they don't have one by Sunday, what about the people who see the ad, go to the website and can't find a major or even minor retailer near them? If that happens, those people won't go to that website anymore and will just ignore the ad.
He needs to have that website active with a NEW NA by sunday, or that add will be a big waste of time and money.
Odd, I went to my local Home Depot yesterday and did not see any racks with Winning Colors. But what I did see were plenty of roll out racks with other products in them. It seems my local HD built the racks, because they are not professionally done. Either way, it looks like if we get HD, we wouldn't need any racks, as HD is doing it for others. There must have been at least 15 of them on the ends of aisles. SImple Green, tape measures etc...
Second mate to First mate. Sir, it appears that the other ship is leaving us behind.
First mate: Yes, I have noticed that. But how can that be when we have the latest and best equipment on this ship and we have the best Captain on the planet?
Second mae: I know Sir, but they are still pulling away.
Captain to the First mate: First mate, the boat up ahead appears to have a number of people on the stern waving at us and some are holding up a banner. Get your telescope and tell me what that banner says.
First mate: Aye aye, Sir. Captain, they are indeed waving at us. The banner says "Bye, bye".
Ok, I surrender for now. New topic. Is Monday the day that most web sites are changed. Ours seems to be the same. Wouldn't we have to have our site changed to accomodate the NA?
Since the race is Sunday, wouldn't they want the new site before that date? Or are they gonna wait til the 16th to do it?
Questions, I have questions and I need answers.
And be nice when you answer, if you do.
C'mon Rocket, you are defending something you know to be incorrect as far as increasing the pps. That news today was nice, but it would have been REAL NICE, if it had followed an NA annoucement. Just as Winks stated.
I know Eric doesn't operate that way, but that doesn't mean he is correct. He seems to be a brillant CEO as far as marketing his company, but not so as far as increasing the pps. And that is a little perplexing. Obviously he is diluting, it would seem smart for him to get the pps higher; so he can get more for his diluted shares. It would benefit us and the company.
But what do I know, I could have bought EESO at .007 and now look at it. Bummer dude.
Pug, is that est or pst. You could be off three hours. Forget the calculus, get out your sun dial. Oops, wait a minute, that won't work, it's raining in paradise.
What's up with that?
