And just when I thought Earnest gave up on us, I find something to spark his interest. So much for unbiased opinions. I thought the article was structured in such a way that it gave some support to the idea that this is a project in the VERY EARLY stages of developement.
Who ever said that it had to be downtown, I believe Summit wanted to build downtown to gain city officials support, but if the rug is pulled out from under them, they will most likely build in a area that is a good location for their business.
I love the idea of it being downtown, it will finally give me and my family a reason to visit downtown for something other than a ballgame...oh ,and I don't like baseball all that much.
One more thing, I hope the referendum does NOT get allowed to take place. I also believe that Mayor Tom likes the idea of the casino downtown and I do believe he has the power to allow this to be built if he believes it would benefit the city of Ft.Wayne, if there is no referendum......remember the ballpark we all thought was huge waste of taxpayer money. It did help downtown....great foresight!
Oh and finally I think I remember, more than one license coming up for the possibility of being moved, in the coming years.
So thanks Earnest for your opinion, all views all welcome here........at least untill Obama apoints his new opion zcar.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GO SUMMIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
