xlr8, unless DHB can deliver products that meet specifications, then the contract won't be fulfilled. DHB has been using Zylon in their vest which degrades when exposed to moisture. The initial life of the vest was supposed to be 5 years, but tests showed that when exposed to moisture it could be rendered ineffective in matter of months. I'm sure that the goverment will be looking at alternatives and has been looking at alternatives. PDVG's initial target wasn't the federal market, but as DHB's trouble began to surface they began to take a serious look at the product's potential in those markets. The police market is significantly large to make this a very large company. As the only vest to stop the 50 caliber, you can imagine this is going to be on many police officers wish list.
