They have gradualy moved from 1.5gpt to 3gpt of visible gold in the dredging period up to the date posted.
Figures need to be realistic on what the could have, but the projection are undeniable. Even I would get out of bed.
Dredgemaster
I believe that BG has missed out a couple of things in his equation and this leads him to his numbers.
With ONLY 3gr of visible gold in RAW gravel and Black Sands feed.
ie: 3gr X 40tph X 8hr X 2 dredges is a lot of coin.
X above by 5 for gold in Concentrates add REEs and order your Lear Jet Gold Plated.
Dredgemaster
mylife, loved your post and perseption of what is happening in SL.
If this company take on board what you have stated and your method of operation and system of work they will go forward faster than most.
They are relitively new to africa and when they have thier logistics in place and a good impleminter who ensures it is done combined with good top senior management then I am sure everything will fall into place.
Yes they have made mistakes but they have rectified them in quick time. Looks like they have found some good advisors and have a vote of confidence from people who are probably investing more money than most on this board.
I also find your numbers very interesting and so do a few friends of mine.

Our new processing equipment described in our June 2, 2011 Press Release is being prepared for shipping so the free gold and rare earths can be separated and upgraded through a single simple gravity separation operation. A small crushing circuit to enhance separation will be added to the shipment.
Very Interesting?
Dredgemaster
Sney have made 1 mistake in thier operation.
Sney employ 50 people and thier salary will probably feed the 500 or so dependants that this 50 have.
As ops manager, I would have to cut waste and maximize profits and would probably cut this work force by 70%.
Sney therefore is very charitable compared to me.
I only hope they dont go into farming.
IHAVE NOW PUT YOU ON IGNORE.

As previously stated, 2 professions in my life and most of that time in Africa with 80% of the population Muslim.

Better to sell your computer and send the proceeds to some NGO who will in turn use the money to buy gold and enjoy themselves.

I thought it was your HAT-HE TUED. thats why your unhappy.

chloe, if A Higer Being can not sort out AFRICA, what can a mere mortal like me do.
INSHALLHA.

Have to introduce you to a Dredge Team I know, they call them The Vikings. The are purely money orientated and will stripe a country of all its assets and move on to the next.
You both could have a lot of fun?
Dredgemaster
Most Definately.
The river is a NATURAL SLUICE and GRAVITY only works one way in this environment.
We talk about satellites of Gold and the more of these you find, then generaly the more gold you find and vice versa.
If you look at the gold with a loop and it is rounded or smooth edged it das usualy traveled far. If it is flat and sharpe edged it has not travelled to far. If it has quartz particles stuck to it then order the Lear Jet.
Its always good to hear common sense.
Dredgemaster
Im learning, I think? you said they would kick it up and down for a while and I THINK thats whats happening?
I read all sensible posts both poss and neg.
I think you WALK QUIETLY WITH A BIG STICK.
Good Luck.
Dredgemaster
Its all relative. The locals are cold at 19 degrees and they should be on the river and not digging. The humidity is unhelpful.
The cost of labor is low and the pace of life is slower than we are used to. Once used to the weather, even europeans get cold at night. A 10 degree drop is a 10 degree drop.
If it was easy gold would be at $20 an oz and be used for any old ornament. All credit to these guys on the ground and I hope it makes you all rich.
Dredgemaster
MyLife, you are a STAR.
Dredgemaster
Is this a GOLD and Diamond Mining Company, that has found a Market for its BYPRODUCT?
All respect to senior management.
Dredgemaster
I could hazard a GUESS and would only be based on some exploration and DD carried out with a South Africa friend in the area.
I would rather not speculate as I like to state FACTS as I know them. I just hope its NOT farming, unless gold has started to grow on trees.
Not much help I know.
Dredgemaster
The way I read this is that sney have left thier options open.
1. They are extracting Visible Gold. (easily done).
2. They have stockpiles of Fine Gold in Concentrates X 3 or 4 of visible gold (to be processed with new equipment).
3. They will then have Stockpiles of REEs, Powdered and flour gold in the Remaing concentrates.
4. They have progressed from 1.5gr VISIBLE GOLD per ton of feed to 3gr.
The ground crew are doing something right?
Whats not to like. Hope they get a good bonus.
Dredgemaster
Not sure, WHY? The concentration of BLACK SANDS will be variable.
I am primarily a GOLD AND DIAMOND miner there for Black Sands is not my speciality. The Black sands contain the powdered gold and REEs and I mainly recovered Visible and Fine gold.
You can only go on the info the company is giving out as to the quantity of black sands per ton of feed at 100 lbs.
They state that they have 40 ton. Money in the bank?
Dredgemaster
The actual figures on thier WINNINGS of gold must be taken on 1.5 gr per ton and climbing to 3gr over the dredgeing period.
This is to say, they NOW have 3 gr of visible gold per ton of feed.
There is no reason why it should not continue to climb as they get more proficient on the equipment and environment.
If you remember I said, "I would not get out of bed unless it was between 4 and 10gr per ton"
Just trying to be realistic.
Dredgemaster
Its that hot there, I would probably loose that in body fluid!
Evaporation will take care of that.
I get a weather report at least every 3 days.
Buddy has 2 trucks contracted to a company making a Haul Road and says NO PROBLEMS
Rain starts in the north and works its way south, generaly.
The Pampana is NOT like the Sewa which has High mountains on either side that the WASH can make it rise very Quickly.
Thats the truth for what its worth.
Dredgemaster
Better to ask them about AMS as they will be known localy.
See if they know Fr David in Bumbuna or the Swedish Hospital in MAKENI.
Surprising how small Sierra Leone is.
Dredgemaster
You have given me a better understanding.
I am too far along the road to start in this kind of thing.
BE lucky
Dredgemaster.
Falon, Thank you.
Dredgemaster
No offence intended, in fact the contrary.
The quote I gave can be interpreted in a couple of ways.
Just like most of the posts on this board.
I feel that I have not so much been teaching people about mining as confirming some facts and putting to bed some myths.
Dredgemaster
Hi BigG, "When Friend or Foe can no longer hurt you then my son you are a man"
You sir Have found this to be true, probably the hard way.
As you seem to be saying, Invest in what you know, trust your OWN judgement, Listen to ALL advice and make your OWN decisions.
I wish you well in however you make your living.
Dredgemaster
I was mining when they said it would never reach $500 oz.
Now I know why everyone is looking at Africa AGAIN.
Everything is relative except gold extraction, NOW. The cost of extraction has gone down and prices just keep climbing?
Dredgemaster
I am aware of that person and if you check back on my posts you will understand.
For Colarado! A river is a living thing, it will dump light materials from one bank to the other. This is why Dale and wilf will have taken a week to re-explore the areas they already earmarked. It usualy works in 2 year cycles.Local knowledge and experience?
When on materials and dredge tuned in then it is a processing machine and with fuel and maintenance can run as long as you want even during the night with lighting if you want to eat mosseys.
Hope this helps
Dredgemaster
IMHO. At this time I would expect BIG MONEY to actualy have people on SITE in SL doing thier OWN DD, to confirm sneys findings. This is what ACTUALY happens.
The pace of operations has been fast to say the least and this will have impressed a lot of interested parties.
You usualy rent a house in freetown, not to take your product there, more to have some where for your guests to stay.
Unfortunatly, this will mean you are the last to know what the companys actual plans and numbers are.
Make no mistake! They have impressed me and that is why I am still on this board.
If they have the finance they can have what ever they want in SL and there are oppertunities to add to thier concession and expand thier operation.
They are in the driving seat and are not under pressure from anyone at this time. It seems that you are the passengers along for the ride and either trust the driver and have checked his licence or not.
Dredgemaster
Big Green/ MyLife seem to agree on 1 thing.
That this company has a FUTURE?.
Thier debate is interesting and as all know numbers can be juggled to suit the situation.
You can PREDICT on AVERAGE and give a potential.
ie: 1 to 17 grams per ton.
Chris-tina on the sidelines means nothing to them.
In mining things change daily as with stocks.

Your practical aproach and ability to read what IS ACTUALY WRITEN gives you credit.
There are those who listen but do not hear and they are the ones who can not remember what has been said.
Knee jerk reactions to any situation will only get us in trouble.
IMHO you must listen to both sides of a debate and take ALL the advice you can get. AS the responsibility is YOURS then the decision should be YOURS.
May I wish you well.

Hi Doone , check spelling of town?
As you come into the town, Police station on left at first island.
Take the right onto Bo Road.
Road to Boys School 400yards on left.
Ask for Pa Lako, he knows everthing that goes on there.

For the company, there are only GOOD reasons which I have posted earlier. I would know exactly how many tons of material I have stockpiled if I was ops manager.
Non Disclosure would prohibit me from giving any info on any of company assets.
When it is advantageous to the COMPANY they will do what they think best.
I dont believe they want to post thier:
ADDRESS:
SAFE COMBINATION:
ASSETS IN SAFE:
TIME THEY WILL NOT BE AT HOME:
which seems to be what you want.
IF THEY DID THEN I WOULD BE SUSPICIOUS.
Dredgemaster
I think if I or any one else had that information, even knowing nothing of this game, would sell everything I own and buy.
Is that how it works?
Dredgemaster
When people come together for a battle of WITS, they should not come HALF prepared.
I see no point in trying to B/S or bluff or give advise on something I know nothing about.
I must therefore declare my ignorance once again, that I know nothing about CHARTS, INVESTORS, TRADERS. To this end I bow to you ALL.

Dredgemaster
Thanks chriss, I understand that, I replied to his post and believe I have given the reason for a canopy.
I know NOTHING about CHARTS and TRADING and would not presume to advise on these.
I do know about, Sierra Leone, Dredgeing, weather in Sierra Leone.
And only post on those topics.
Trader knows my meaning and I am sure he agrees with me.
Thanks for your post.
Dredgemaster
Hi Trader, while I bow to your knowledge on charts.
The canopies are actualy there to protect them from the SUN.
They will be removed if High Winds come as there is possibility of the dredge being fliped.
The river speed is the only factor to consider.
I know you have the charts in front of you, but to second guess what the conditions are on the river and paint the worst senario is not worthy of you.

If you do the maths correctly you will see that I have been VERY conservative in my numbers.
Old School. Ops manager on any production will always give a LOW AVERAGE and therfore it will not have to run at 100% constantly and can make up the bad with the good.
He also has given himself the opertunity to talk about a bonus on ramping up tonage and has the ability to do so. ON HIS NUMBERS.
Hope this makes sense to you.

You will have to excuse me I still work in galls per min and yards per hour. Remember a cubic yard of material can weigh from 1+ ton to 19.5 ton.
I have tryed to convert to litres and kilos.
1 X 8" dredge will move 1200 gall per minute of water.
10% to 15% of this should be materials.
5,000 liters water per min.
10% of above as materials = 500 ltrs per min.
X density of materials say X 3 = 1500 kilos of materials.
X 60 per hour = 90ton per hour.
This is based on IDEAL conditions and at 10% materials.
Therefore 60 tons per hour is totaly REALISTIC.
I am always willing to learn and increase my knowlwdge and would be gratefull if any manufacturer or operator would point out where and if I am wrong. I have physicaly proved these numbers.
Hope this helps.
