Thanks for posting this message from Kim. When did Kim send this out?
One thing they never mention is that these embryos and/or fetuses would be thrown out anyway! So, instead of just leaving them in the garbage to rot, stem cell angels make use of those embryo/fetuses to develop cures for blindness and for many other afflictions, thereby actualizing the most important teaching of Jesus to "Love Thy Neighbor"...
I'm with you. Lanza is my hero! Had a very difficult childhood, very poor family, but success all through his life due to his devoted research and innate brilliance and fascination with workings of Nature. Integrity. Genius. and Sincere desire to help relieve suffering. Lanza yes!
You asked Bob, not me, but i'll answer anyway: ACTC and ELTP
So true! anyone care to suggest why this is so and what it will take to move us forward, way forward???
I have and he said commercialization soon. Hence, he said, it's not necessary or desirable to get a govt loan, and be burdened with a bunch of debt.
Jesse, thank you for that. I agree about Natcore! Among other things: dedicated CEO, game-changing technology, and multiple uses for it.
Why doesn't Natcore get these great deals if they are so great???????? (Note: i'm an investor who just bought more).
Hi Mike,
I've been following your recent posts at Investor Village and you seem trustworthy to me. I'd like to know what you think of Zincfingers' apparent disillusionment with KBLB. I just read another from him (shortest posting from him i've ever seen) basically saying paraphrasing here) what's going on with the 5000 insertions??? We are long overdue for info. He used to be so sure of KBLB but recently said (approx) that for him this stock is on the backburner. Is ZF's new position wrong? Your opinion please?
"Elite doesn't put out news unless they are forced to. They would have never released any drug launching news or approvals but the SEC made them. Elite hates to inform it's shareholders with good news."
Please explain how you came to this conclusion and why they would not want to inform their shareholders of good news. What would be in it for them?
"We still have up to 4 weeks"--until what????
Yes, but it requires people willing to literally sacrifice their lives or at least be willing to go to prison forever. It will never happen here unless people are actually starving. The govt keeps a lid on that level of desperation that fueled peasant revolts in France and Russia. We have food stamps and free emergency rooms and all kinds of distractions like TV.
Think of the armed revolts at maximum security prisons in this country. The level of desperation was sufficient to fuel the willingness to make the ultimate personal sacrifice and the people had effectively already lost their lives--Solitary confinement for months and years at a time. "When you ain't got nothin' you got nothin' to lose". That's not how it is in the USA for most people. imo.
Fern--Brilliant reply!
Right!
Maybe the best thing for longs to do is forget about the whole thing for a year and check back then.
"also ran"? What's the supposedly newer and better formulation?
"way behind"? Who is ahead and in what way(s)?
The good thing is that they plan to use this same technology for other electronic devices, not only solar panels (Sorry, i forget the details at the moment but I was impressed when I read about it. I think it was in a company report or one of Chuck's recent letters).
It could also happen suddenly, at any time, including soon.
Wouldn't covering make it go *up*?
Carry, how do you know that? Do you have a crystal ball?.
Good, but list of other companies also shows that we have a lot of competition...
"Here is a list of other pharma companies that are engaged in the formulation of abuse resistant opioids that this Act will help as well as Elite. Notice Elite has finished Phase II of the FDA trials. "

I'm getting the impression from these posts about Knight that Knight's problems are advantageous for us Longs. Is that right? And is this specifically because a short squeeze might result from their failure to deliver?
ROMANS828--please be more specific about what you mean. Thanx.
NITE =Knight Capital???
Hideous, but i have seen drops like this followed soon after by huge gains in PPS.
Would you please post the content of your email and also the email address? Thanks.
Mike L: Thanks for your response. Now i just need to understand what you mean by this:
"If downsideup would ask a similar question of a Velatel spokesperson he would get a much more encouraging answer." Who/what is Velatel?
FIRST MIKE, I sure hope you are right. But if that email from Amsilk is for real (which I'm not sure it is), they do say "The company has manufactured spider silk in its own facilities at kg scale".
Es1--WOW, great letter and thanx for posting it! I sure hope you get a reasonably informative reply soon...
Please explain what you mean in more detail--in plain English, please, not metaphors. Thanks.
I strongly doubt that Lanza "feels like a damn fool" (nor should he). He owns a gazillion shares and what he sold after the Lancet article was @ approximately $0.18 or $0.19 (if i remember correctly).
Agreed that it was painful to see Lanza sell after the Lancet report but it should have been obvious to everyone that pps was going to drop very soon due to the lawsuits settlements that were on verge of paying out. (Even i realized that and i am a novice). So Lanza sold at the top back then, just like we could have done too.
Stock did not drop because Lanza sold, imo. Stock was gonna drop anyway, and Lanza knew it (just like we did) and he acted wisely (unlike myself).
Lanza has a gazillion shares so selling 2 million right now is no big deal anyway, especially since he is into so many projects and probably needs some cash.
It's obvious to me from statements by Kim and one of his law partners that they specifically chose to defend this woman who had been wrongfully harassed because they cared about the underlying principles of the case--justice for the underdog in a David vs Goliath case.
IMO this is a demonstration of Kim's personal integrity. That he won the case is a demonstration of his competence.
KIM SAID: We are proud to have been able to help the Zitzka family in what we consider to be an important First Amendment case. Hopefully this case will remind government officials of the rights guaranteed to all of our citizens at the founding of this great country."
KIM'S PARTNER IN THE LAW FIRM SAID: "I'm very pleased with the work performed by our firm on this case," said McJessy, Ching & Thompson partner, Angela Ching. "It is a reminder of why
many of us went to law school."
Be cynical if you want. I'm sure it gives you a great life---not. Among other things, this shows us that Kim is a man of integrity, as well as competence in winning at negotiations and confrontations-- and those are two of the most important qualities we want in our CEO!
The fact that Kim took this case *and won it* makes me immensely proud of Kim! Standing up for the underdog like that is Super Good Karma! Thank you Kim. Also shows he knows how to deal with opponents. We're gonna do fine. Way to go, Kim! I plan to write and personally thank him for his Good Deed.
Will some knowledgeable person please respond to these recent postings?
1. EPIC :Such a great partner would help fund ELTP drug trails WHY DON'T THEY ??
2. INSIDER Directors (they work for EPIC )are given shares at .04 and turn around and sell them for .12 Does not show that they think ELTP shares will show much appreciation in the future.EPIC is feeding off ELTP stock holders like a piggy bank..
3. I am very hopeful for ELTP but how is continued insider selling NOT a huge red flag? Any thoughts?
Regarding the private placement that raised $2.5MM: could someone please explain the meaning of "accelerated conversion" in the 2nd paragraph of the announcement, below? (Conversion FROM what TO what) ???
Also, since finders are able to purchase shares at $0.60 for two years, doesn't that imply that price will be held down--or be subject to suddenly falling down from whatever height it gains--until those shares have been purchased?
Excerpt from announcement of private placement:
"The financing was announced on July 3. Natcore received gross proceeds of C$2,500,000, pursuant to the issuance of 4,166,167 units at a price of C$0.60 per unit. The overallotment has received regulatory approval, including the sanction of the TSX Venture Exchange.
Each unit comprised one common share and one warrant, with each warrant enabling purchase of a further common share at C$0.90 for a period of two years from closing. In the event that Natcore shares close at over C$1.60 for 20 consecutive trading days, the warrants will be subject to accelerated conversion within 30 days’ notice of the company disseminating a press release providing notice of that circumstance. All securities issued pursuant to the placement are subject to a hold period expiring on November 21, 2012.
Finder’s fees were paid on a portion of the financing, such that an aggregate of $104,710 was paid in cash and 22,516 finder’s warrants were issued, having the same terms as the warrants forming part of the units and 152,000 finder’s unit warrants were issued exercisable to acquire units on the same terms as the units issued in the financing at an exercise price of $0.60 per unit for a period of two years."
I won't say anymore about it. I hope you are right. However, i just don't feel it's as much of a *slam-dunk* as i did before the article came out saying that abusers in very large numbers are turning to heroin since Purdue's abuse-resistant opioids came out.
The point i've been trying to make (that you laughed at) is that people who use pain meds strictly for pain relief do not need abuse-resistant meds.
Whereas, the people who use pain meds to get high off of will simply move to heroin if they can no longer get their fix from pain meds. The gov't apparently was not expecting this response or at least not to the degree it has shown up.
So, it seems like abuse-resistant pain meds might not be all that relevant to either of those two populations.
I would love to be wrong about this, as i own a gazillion shares of ELTP and i'm way under water.
Are you saying that Elite's abuse-proof drugs are less addictive than Purdue's Oxycontin? OR will Elite's abuse-proof drugs be equally addictive but just not possible to get high from?
Because, if equally addictive, then my point is that the ones who can't succeed at getting their high via prescription meds will simply turn to heroin. So what good will abuse-proof prescription meds do???
It also appears from what i've read that the govt wasn't really prepared for this level of people simply switching to heroin, etc.
Like, the govt (in all those bills wrt abuse-resistant drugs) actually believed that removing the ability to get high off prescription meds would stop the epidemic. Well sure it would stop the epidemic from that particular source, but simply move it to another source...
In writing what i wrote, i thought you were saying--and what i was replying to was--that people using the drug for pain medication accidentally took too much.
But you are describing people using the drug to get high--(i.e. putting pills in the microwave, etc)--and those are the ones turning to heroin if they can't get their high from prescription meds.
