Excellent point....
Es1,
Please keep us updated as to your email to Ben. I am curious to read his response...Thanks...
Hi Mike,
Excellent post.....Thanks....
Don't worry, the market will catch up to KBLB before long....Of course, by then, it may be too late....
Es1,
Reading this, I was impressed with your thought process. You stated your ideas well, and you made perfect sense.
Champ,
Great job....
Mojo,
If it drops to the 3's anytime soon, you should be happy. You can go in and load up....However, I do not think KBLB is good enough for you.
Since you think KBLB lacks your standard of accomplishments (even though they have accomplished something no other company has done before), perhaps you are setting your bar a bit too high.
In my opinion, no company on this planet could satisfy you. No matter which company you invest in (even MMM, GE, GIS), you would find AT LEAST one complaint.
To be happy in life, you have to lighten up, and enjoy the moment.
Thanks for the heads up...
Mojo,
Why are you here?
Hi Mike,
Great post...
With you here, I do...
Cautious,
You say: "Neither KBLB or Notre Dame should be in the production business." What do you mean? If KBLB were not in the process of producing MS, the company would not exist. I have no idea what you are talking about.
You quote: "Kim is a LAWYER who should find a company that specializes in silk production." What the hell do you think KBLB does? It will be specializing in spider silk. Kim OWNS the company. Again, I have no idea what you are taling about.
You state: "I am losing my confidence in the company." If you are
losing confidence, then you should move onto another stock. A great choice is VVTV.
Quote: "I have become increasingly concerned about the lack of transparency. The rationale offerred that secrecy is a positive sign is absurd."
Again, I could not disagree with you more. Kim has to be careful of what he says and does. There are people/companies who would love to get their hands on what KBLB knows and on what they are doing. Thus, the secrecy.
You look at secrecy as a bad thing. I think of it as a good thing.
I think that several scientists from Notre Dame (they were paid 20 million shares by KBLB for the use of their labs over the years)are diligently working in the new lab. They are making sure to ramp up production of MS. Therefore, from Kim's prospective, the company is sort of on "automatic pilot," a very quiet time. Of course, this is all IMHO.
I feel Kim wants to make sure KBLB has adequate production capability before signing ANY deals.
In the past, I invested in a penny stock once which actually went bankrupt because it could not keep up with production demands. Commercialization/prodution is a big deal, and it is THIS which is taking so much time.
Therefore, production will begin when Kim feels ready. Then and only then will he sign any deal(s).
So, we have to use common sense and rationality and give Kim and the company the time it needs. Remember, you cannot sign deals UNLESS you are ready for mass production.
So, the key word here AGAIN is PATIENCE. This continued speculation about Kim's work habits only causes angst and panic. This does nothing but create negativity, and this reflects in the PPS, IMHO.
Mojo,
Quote: "oh i wouldnt say that..the market isnt and never has been a level playing field....trust me...there are those who know plenty more than you...and i am one.."
I am so thankful and blessed that you are here and that you know so much more than the rest of us. You make me feel secure.
Es1,
The email address I use to contact Ben is benhansel@yahoo.com. I learned of this address from another post on this board.
I always had trouble with the other one: benh@ttfsco.com. Therefore, use the first address when trying to contact him, and avoid the latter one.
He always answers any of my emails within one day. He is doing his job!
Mojo,
Why are you here?
Trains,
That was an excellent post....filled with common sense....
Ocho,
This was a very astute and well-stated post. I agree with you 100%.
Thanks, Zenaku..I live in Florida close to where this happened, and I never knew a thing about the spider silk. Seeing Kraig Biocraft Lab's name mentioned in the article is really cool.
Good job....
Again, excellent points Mike.....
Retro,
This was a great post, and it makes me feel a whole lot better. Thanks for the info on Ben. I will try to shoot him another email and see what happens.
Bigfoot,
I am not sure about the answer to your question, but I have another one.
Has anyone tried to email Ben Hansel lately? I have been trying to send him an email for five days now, and it keeps coming back to me as undeliverable.
I called the company phone number and got Kim's answering machine. I mentioned to him that I was unable to email Ben.
Perhaps the transition to a new PR person has begun?? Any thoughts??
That was a wise move.....
Great post, Ocho....Well-stated and to the point...
Perfectly stated, Mike.....
Hi Whiteface 88,
It is amazing how much you sound like me about thirty-five years ago. I was taking losses and moving from one stock (usually penny stocks) to another in hopes of finding that golden egg.
I am now sixty (God, I can't believe it), and I have learned so much about investing which I did not know back in the dark ages as a kid.
I did find at least five times that I prematurely made the mistake of selling a stock in which I had lost my confidence. I went on to another stock (a blue chip) where I usually lost money as well, or I made a paltry ten or fifteen percent.
In horror, I would check the stock I sold six months to a year later, and I would find that the penny stock I abandoned had double, tripled, and even quadrupled. I can't tell you how many times I screwed up!
This time, I have found a stock with breakthrough technology, a company run by one capable genius. All of the chips are lined up for this stock to soar. As I have said countless times on this board, the key word to success in investing is PATIENCE. This is the hardest trait to master as an investor.
Unfortunately, you are in the same position now I was in countless times decades ago. If I were in your shoes, I would back up the truck, load up on KBLB at these prices, and be PATIENT! You seem like a young enough guy, so what is the hurry? Buy it, hold it, and wait to see what magic Kim will perform. You will know one way or another within the next six months, so that should be soon enough for you! GLTY
I have always made money doing the opposite of what the market is doing. When folks are running to the doors, I am buying. Being a contrarian is a smart thing.
People threw away GE at $7.00, so I went in and loaded up. It is now at $19.50 several years later. Remember, buy when others are selling.
Therefore the idea that I am a lemming is ironic at best. I am the complete opposite. People like you and Mojo make me want to buy more KBLB, since you guys seem to be the ones who run for the doors.
Mojo,
I am not and have never been blinded by greed, as you claim we are here on this board.
I am just an investor who looks at this as just that, an investment where I "may" have an opportunity to make money. After all, isn't that the reason ANYONE invests, the idea of making money?
I cannot remember anyone who said KBLB simply cannot fail! I could be wrong, but I cannot remember a blog where someone said this. I certainly have never said anything close to this.
I am sure we all know that KBLB is a risk. It may or may not succeed. However, we are here because we feel that there is a good chance (imho anyways) that it will make it. That is what investing is. You investigate, you understand the potential a company has, and you take a chance by investing. That is not being blinded by greed. It is simply an investment where an investor feels there is a fairly good chance of success.
Bull,
I think Kim Thompson IS a doer. He has accomplished remarkable things which have never been done before.
Therefore, IMHO, he already is a doer. We will know soon enough how much more or less credit to give him.
Es1,
I couldn't agree with you more. Well-stated...
Great, informative post, es1....
Great Post, Ray...well-stated...
Good post, Mike...Apologies to all about my misspelling of Dr. Fraser's name even though I knew how to spell it...an honest mistake....
Schapps,
You state: so don't believe the posts that claim this is a sure thing.
I have never ever read anyone's post here that said KBLB is a sure thing. Only death and taxes are sure things. This company is a risk, plain and simple.
Of course, many investors thought investing in Citigroup, Washington Mutual, Regions Financial and even Goldman Sachs was a sure thing. NOTHING IS SURE TODAY, NOTHING...
All I know is that KBLB has a product(s) which no one else has on this planet. That, in itself, speaks volumes. No matter what, we will know soon enough!
I have my opinion, and you have yours....
Schnapps,
You quote, "I'd love to see him succeed, but to me all signs point to no."
I just cannot understand how you feel all signs point to Kim not succeeding. I cannot find one sign that it will not succeed. I believe the total opposite. I think this is your fear speaking. As a human being, I too have my fears, but I will not allow them to guide me into making a mistake.
KBLB was published in the PNAS (National Accademy of Sciences), and it has done something that no other company has ever done in the history of this world. It has created a product which has a long long list of uses. The strength of this silk is something out of a science fiction movie. By the way, go and see the Spiderman movie. It is something to see!
Besides, Kim has a close affiliation with the Universities of Wyoming and Notre Dame, and Dr. Malcom Frazier is an integral part of this company. Universities do not get involved with just anyone, and they do not allow just anyone to use their labs for years. A man of Dr. Frazier's caliber does not give up years of his life for a flash in the pan.
The stock has come from around .01 to where it is today. It is basically treading water because no news of a deal has of yet come out. This is a quiet time for the stock, yet it refuses to break support at around .05. It is now struggling back up towards .06 again IN THE FACE OF LITTLE OR NO NEWS.
Please do not let your fears control your decisions. Those who make money look fear in the face and refuse to let it sway them. Hang in there, because the take off is coming!!!
Hi Romans828,
I always set my expectations low so as to avoid disappointment. Therefore, I have told myself that a deal will not happen until towards the end of this year.
Should a deal come sooner, I will be elated, but if not, I am hoping for one (or more) towards the end of November or the fist few weeks of December.
At any rate, let us all keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best for Kim and the company. GLTA
Es1,
Quote:
ANY stock that pops 2000% needs to be sold FAST. Including this one.
If Kim came out with a PR for revs and the PPS went up 2600%
it would be at 1.50 I would sell so fast your head would spin (depending on the contract). I huge contract and I would sell higher but you can bet I would sell them all and wait for the .30 reload.
I disagree with your opionion above for several reasons. First of all, you make it sound so easy, as if KBLB will move just the way you want it to or you think it will at any given time.
While it is great to have a battleplan should the price spike up 2,000% or more, you will never know if the stock will come back down to .30. It may drop down ten percent for a few days or a week and then continue to rise. After all, by then, people know EARNINGS are coming, so the stock will continue to rise. Once a PE is assigned to the stock, it will be on its way to higher highs.
A smarter thing would be to sell perhaps half and hold half. In my case, I am holding for a minimum of five years. I have a perspective price target I am waiting for, and I will hold until the stock reaches my target price. However, should the outlook for the stock change, all bets are off.
Should the stock rise 2,000%, I will have a beer and celebrate, but I will continue holding. The future potential earnings of this company leads me to believe that it is naive to sell too early!
Bull,
You state, "KBLB is going nowhere." As skeptical as I am about all stocks in general but penny stocks specifically, I understand your frustration. However, in all of my years of trading, I have never seen a penny stock with the potential this company has. Therefore, I accept the risks, but I clearly see the potential, and it is that potential which keeps me here.
During more quiet times such as these, KBLB does trend lower, but
I see KBLB as a rocket on the lauch pad at Kennedy Space Center. The smoke is billowing out from the bottom of the huge canisters, and it is ready for takeoff.
Every morning I wake up and ask myself, "is today the day?" When I see no definitive news about a deal (s), I do get disappointed, but I know that it is coming soon.
Patience is the key word here. It is a very laborious process Kim must go through not only to prepare the company for mass production but to establish deal (s) with interested parties.
As anyone can imagine, this takes time! Rome was not built overnight.
Before you throw your hands up in the air and declare that the stock is going nowhere, remember the key word I have stated on this board many many times, PATIENCE!!! THIS IS THE HARDEST TRAIT TO MASTER AS AN INVESTOR, and it is what separates successful investors from those who end up with nothing.
As investors, we want to buy at the low, and man that time is now!
All very-well stated, es1...
