It ain't me on either side of the ledger...have a good weekend Dread & Co...

Yeh...
I had a pithy pertinent response to your Texas swagger take but I hit "post" accidently before I finished and I blew up the whole thing !!!! Basically it was something like this...I have a couple buddies who have been residing in the Lone Star State for 20 years- transplanted Yanks, so I know a little about the "swagger/ walk"..Then I was going to say for all of TOVC Investors' sake I sure hope Jim has more on the ball than does W. our Commander in Chief..Before you get any ideas of my political bent, I'm registered GOP but tend to vote independently..I'm no Kerry fan either (I have trouble with those East Coast Elitest Millionaires touting their love of the "common man" ala Ted K.) and have not decided which way I'm going I just have real concerns on Dubya's ability to intellectualize ( let alone articulate) complex situations and concepts ( bottom line I feel he is a puddinhead..)....Now hopefully Cheney is in fact calling balls and strikes...As far as the political landscape and how it relates to our investment here, one could argue that having a little "green" friendlier EPA may help get results a little more airplay..I could imagine that Big Oil isn't real crazy about headlines in the WSJ saying current technology is teed up to help American Motorists increase milage 35-50% immediately upon installation....All thoughts, comments, insults welcomed...

Torvecian...
The confidence
is always there from TOVC- you have to give them that...They know the playing field a hell of alot better than do I so after 5 soon to be 6yrs. holding, what's another year gonna kill me ???? I sure wish I could lurk better than I do- but like my friend Torvecian I'm a tad passionate on this one....................Thinking positively, I'm pretty confident that they already know what kinda numbers they are going to get with the IVT..probably just will confirm what CAD has already told them, hence the swagger...we shall see....
Leitrim
Thanks Tor..
I agree with most of your points and I think the most frustrating part of this for me is the tchnical part of the technology..I grasp the big picture of the benefits, particularly of the IVT and the FTV- but I must confess ignorance of the buying cycles, alternative technologies that exist today in the automotive world..I have to "check myself" from time to time as I don't "really need" the money I have invested to date..I'm just not used to investing for such long stretches of time with little or no returns- but that is the game we are all playing..Good luck to us all..Hope to have something to talk about in 2004...You gotta save up for a flight to the Annual Meeting- we Hubsters have to have a summit!!!!!
Leitrim
It does seem to feel like..
the world and the opportunity to capitalize are passing us by at times does it not??? While I don't miss "the fluff" of earlier PR's and can wait for substantial information, this does on the surface appear to be a whole lot riskier proposition than in the past..Torvecian, you know I respect your analysis and opinions with respects to this investment- but you have to be honest in that you have been saying we're making progress and getting closer every day to a meaningful return ever since '99 when I stumbled onto this little company..That's six years ago at this point..Are you concerned at all that this tech may not see the light of day just due to TOVC's limited resources???All feedback welcome for this weary small holder...
Leitrim
Agree Dread..
Next Annual Meeting is in 3 Months and there are more shareholders now than when this enterprise was in its inception..I would be very surprised if there wasn't a certain amount of discord if this meeting goes like the last 3 or so with a technological dog and pony show and Jim fielding Q & A like General Patton....Lot of the investors are older folks than am I and I think after 8 years they want some substantive progress about commercialization, joint venture possibilities, basically "when does this get airborne" ( i.e screw the secret cloak of confidentiality- tell us what's really going on???") As has been said before, and very effectively I might add, this stuff is typical of a start up- and this investment is VERY high risk despite what anyone tells you to the contrary..Personally ,if I'm not satisfied with the tone and meat after Annual, I may cut and run and move on to other investment possibilities...Rome wasn't built in a day but it fell apart pretty quickly..Wishing all Good luck
General Question...
Do any of you know If TOVC still has Billow Butler retained to market the technology??? They ( TOVC) no longer appear anywhere on their (BBC's) website..Could just be that the information was about a year old and that in and of itself kinda contradicts Billow's theme that time is a "deal killer" or maybe something has changed strategy wise with CXO guys now calling the managerial shots..Do you think this is something the company would answer via email??? No panic implied but while we wait for Pr's the mind tends to wonder and imagine scenarios..Drea:
The $100 dollar figure probably is accurate for the true realized value of this stuff- but that puts market cap at around 2.6/ 2.7 Billion for a couple of guys in a Pittsford Office Park...either way, I could wait a whole lot longer for that kind of return..( would send the Wife packing and trade up for a younger, prettier, nicer model to grace my FTV's passenger seat.......:)
Dread.....
at next year's Annual Meeting, I'm going to nominate you to hold the newly created post of TOVC's "Minister of Information"...most everything you post/link here is directly in their wheelhouse..Now don't get too excited, as we are a development stage company- there are no revenues as we speak, but perhaps we can get you signed up to get an FTV @ cost...I'm gonna want to pull the trigger on one of those bad boys with our winters if they get street legal which I wouldn't see why that would be a problem....forget ever having to parallel park- just drive that sumbitch up a snowbank !!!!! :)
Leitrim
Ballo..
from your lips to God's ears..I know "weeks not years.." but you string 52 of those bad boys together and guess what you got??? Long, Holding, and occasionally venting
Leitrim
New CEO Update On TOVC website...
No $$ signs yet progress continues...Thoughts both pro and con always welcome
Leitrim
Hey Reporter ( or any of you folks)
explain why the timing of the patents potentially ties to eminent production or commercialization??? can you elaborate just a little...I know patents have timelines and is it that you want to secure them as close to initiation of a product rollout a give the company as much time to have competitive advantages against competition- just a shot- Ya;ll probably have a hard time believing I was an Econ major huh...???
Regards
Leitrim
P.S Yes I now freely admit I'm officially obsessive compulsive on TOVC joining the ranks of Dread and Torvecian...ATL seems to have a handle on himself for the time being but that could change at anytime....
Yes Dread, atleast THIS Investor ( since 99) agrees with the
Reporter..I have to say one of the most frustrating things about this investment ( believe me, which I have in "the flyer" section of the portfolio- i.e the mortgage ain't riding on it) is the almost mixed messages that come out..For instance, in about a 6 month period you had Steenburgh state at an Annual, The company's absolute commitment to unlocking the value of "their crown jewel" ( The FTV)- (his words not mine)..then not less than 7-8 months later you have him quoted in the Roch D&C stating they retained Billow Butler to sell possibly the entire company cause " it's just too difficult for an small company to break into Automobile manufacturing"...I would assume he was speaking for the Board as CEO ..Then, he exists stage left and starts selling stock like a drunken sailor...Then the CXO guys come in and start entrancing us "with weeks, not years"- but we don't hear squat on content just get 'position statements' from TOVC Board members like Col Dobbs...on dark days it makes you think these folks are "making it up as they go" hoping to catch lightning in a bottle....why am I still here you may ask, as I write this in a Merlot induced haze???? Cause deep down, some people that are a whole lot smarter than am I, are convinced that this is a "can't miss"... It is absolutely the real deal with markets lined up to go bananas on VG's goods once the stars align....O. K time for bed, I'm boring myself...If this ever goes where it could....we meet in Vegas for a round of golf and that 28 Porterhouse that has me entranced...Sound like a Plan???? Leitrim....
P.S Bananas is 58.75 dollars a share
Think we can all take a nap until the next release....When that will be I have no idea..but I'm starting to worry that I'm becoming an excessive compulsive checking this I-Board and the Company's website....:) be sure to wake me up if I miss something alright??????
Leitrim
Phone No for the wake up call is 800-242-4433 Ext 4464
Volume continues to be anemic and probably will remain so until they give us something to chew on..I think all of us can "see the steak" now we need to hear it sizzle..I can wait awhile if they deliver me a nice juicy 28oz. Porterhouse ( medium rare)
Leitrim
Dread:
Indulge me here Fella..(Trust me I'm not being argumentative just looking for a little dialogue whilst we pass the time..)Why do you fell TOVC closer to monetization than say two years ago?? just a hunch or logical guess at the time which has passed?? I wish I had that tingly anticipation but I'm way too cautious in general..Finally, what does the share price of TOVC look like if they hit one home run after another??? $20, $30? Higher..Not holding you to conditions feel free to dream.......:)
Regards to all my freinds new and old (Longs)
Leitrim
Thinking on the Darker side of things.....
IF we continue to slop along in share price and volume with little or no concrete news ( A Deal,Buyout,JV??) prior to Next Year's Annual- that Meeting outta be a humdinger(...and probably my Swan Song......)Fully Realize that Haloid didn't become Xerox over night and Microsoft was once a thought in Bill Gates's head..I don't use those comparisons lightly- just repeat what I've heard them use at prior meetings...Sorry for the relative gloom- but the remnants of Hurricane Charley, Arthur, Otis or whoever seems to be parked over my house and are flooding my basement- haven;t seen the Sun in four days..Rather Gloomy I suppose..Could always be worse- I Feel for those folks in Fla...I'll come around don't call Lifeline just yet !!!!!! :)
Hey Dread..
As we stands now, it's probably not all that critical how TOVC is trading..If they can deliver eye popping results on the Tahoe, then atleast for the short term- there will be alot more buyers than sellers- irrespective of a deal- & that has to bode well for us..Hell, anybody that drives a car and has children wants better milage and a cleaner environment for the future- it's an easy sale after a lot of examining the goods ( which I think is going on as we speak)..As far as the FTV going into production, that has to be a ways off or else they'll be intent to sell the license/patents to a foreign or the Big Three for future Royalties- just my take- not saying I'm right..You have to have a whole lot of "cake" to start an automobile manufacturing operation from scratch which is what the filings say they are intent on doing, and I just can't see that happening in good ole Rochester NY- Would be tickled pink to be proven wrong- cause then I am retiring very early and comfortably if they can pull this off...Where else you gonna park some money with this type of potential?? Regards to all my former Raging Bullers...Leitrim ( The artist formerly know as Mr. Bixsonic)
Hey Dig:
A friend of a friend who is a large holder since inception says they are getting closer everyday to changing the world..Me I'll settle for a nice run up.....:)
Dread:
Are we ever on the same page...Ole Roch could certainly use a shot in the arm with respects to manufacturing..It's almost surreal when you read market projections and potential revenue targets on the FTV..The fantasy is that I own many thousand shares of the next Haloid..What will the reality be??? Who knows but that's why I'm still here.. I would really hope Vernon is around to atleast see this process begin..Now they need $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Bottom lining it...From a fairly long Long
Why am I still here? (since 1999) I've admitted to not being a car guy or that savvy a techie, but a few folks I know who have longer and substantially larger stakes than do I( no they are not insiders !!), remain absolutely sold on the paradigm shift of ALL the technology TOVC posesses and remain extremely confident in the eventual success/monetization..It is awfully hard to be patient but I'm fairly confident, like Torvecian, that when this plays out, the eventual valuation of this company will make where we stand today a distant memory..Could start to happen in a few months, may take a little longer than that to begin..I have to believe that the Gleasman's would like to be able to better keep the shareholders "in the loop" on their daily activities, but I don't think that's very realistic with what's at stake...There is tremendous amount of faith involved here, but what can I say I'm a man of faith
Not sure
and I'm just guessing but if they expected 3-4 weeks to test the Standard Tahoe ( why it would take that long is anyone's guess), then we're probably looking at another 3-4 to install and test the IVT Tahoe??? I'm weary but still optimistic that we're closer to monetization than ever before..It's how they get the message out and to whom that will be critical IMHO..
Torvecian:
<one deal and the luanch sequence gets activated..>
Agree but will that happen in my lifetime???( I'm 42 and relatively healthy!!!)
Thanks
for the post reporter..I must confess I wish I was more up to speed on TOVC's technology and the alternatives..As previously stated I'm not the engineering sort- just a guy hoping to make a few bucks !!!
Leitrim
Hey Reporter (and friends)
back after actually a sunny week in Lake George..sort of proud of myself that I didn't check any of my holdings via computer or phone all week !!!! With respect to your comments on the technology having a limited life-(<Technology usually has limited life span>) I can tell you exactly what TOVC's response would be cause we've all heard it... "We invented the Torsen back in the 50's- It's still in use today, is a very viable business and the only folks who've changed, improved, and simplified the technology since the fifties is VG with the ISO Torque"...
That's the story and they stick to it...
Leitrim
Hey Dread:
I'm not certain whether I'm inspired by your informative posts as they relate to the forces in TOVC's favor, or depressed as a consumer/bill payer in this global malaise..Either way keep them coming..Leaving for a week of R&R in beautiful Lake George NY- Hopefully my absence will create some positive Kharma for the stock this week..????!!!!
Enjoy your week all
Leitrim
How smart
can we be?? We voluntarily live here?? ( Though the Mendon crack made me smile cause I'm a Brighton man )
Dread:
Agree on all points..Once the Tahoe numbers are released I sure hope the CXO guys get this info to the Public @ large..I want to see it on Nightly News- not just "R-News" and want it in the Wall Street Journal- not just the Roch Business Journal..If this goes by with little more than a whimper it's time to head to the exits IMHO
Man...the fact
that this baby can move one direction or another on such light volume does tend to make one a little tingly inside- don;t it???
Leitrim
Dread:
If one "feels" a shadow- can I take it that means six more weeks of Summer..Would be nice cause we really haven't had one here in the ROC
You and me both..
on the volume issue..That's why I hate this OTBB Exchange -it's so easy for the evil doers ( to quote GWB) to jerk with the price..At times you feel like a bug on the windshield here..Regards
Zendo:
you GOTTA catch an Annual Meeting..Ole JG. waits til the end of the formal stuff and fields the Q & A and he's a trip..Very smart, blunt, a touch of arrogance and a whole lot of P.T Barnum..Both sons have a ton of pride in their Dad which I respect and can totally appreciate, but you can't help but emphasize with some of the older folks who have laid down big bets and want a nice return in their lifetime..I'm a relatively young man who hopes to shorten the mortgage, maybe get a nice jump on two College tuitions in the next 10-12 years..This ain't my retirement plan- but it just appears to me, that they have so many concrete solutions to challenges this country is currently facing which are only gonna escalate in the next 0-30 years..What can you say, it's a flyer stock that may or may not happen..Life is short, may as well be in the game playing than outside watching..That's my take
Hey ATL:
re this quote "Therefore, at the request of the automotive industry, Torvec is responding to the crisis by putting its transmission in a gasoline powered GM Tahoe.", sure makes you think that GM is definitely evaluating, and DC has been involved for over 6-7 years per prior releases, so I guess we just sit tight and see how this plays out...Can't help but echo Dread's dismay on lack of moving to another exchange- Today's release would have had alot more pop associated with it....
Dread:
I hear ya..I have probably laid too big a bet on TOVC which is why it tends to consume my idle time I was hoping for 5 years to strike Not sure I'll wait another 5..Ballo thanks for the post from TOVC..
Well Said
EOM
Poof "Part 2"..
3.89 as I type..that's another 20 Mill overboard..ATL I'm not the panicky type and while patience is surely a virtue, Ignorance ain't always bliss !!!! I wonder if the G's are as frustrated about what they can and cannot say at this point- I sure hope so...
Guess
We'll have to wait til Vern hits 93 to find out what's going on day to day- See ya next Summer
Poof....
29 Mill in Market Cap disappears in six hours....Yuk....
Ballo:
Keep fighting the good fight...I doubt you'll get response other than their citing "check our next filing"..While you're at it-ask if testing has started on the Tahoe with the IVT...Can't see why the timetable for that would be any great secret??? If the transmission is that easily interchangeable (hand turned etc...) that sucker should've been in and on the dyno a week after the press release..I'll endeavor to be more patient providing they come up with some eye popping- "game changing" results...That happens and everybody starts paying attention and taking our phone calls...
Ballo:
Thanks for the "update"- guess we gotta hang around and see what shakes out- Got five years practice under my belt doing just that so I'm getting pretty good at it....
Leitrim
