bzzzzzzz..WRONG! 4 Movies. They should do 40-50M this year.
Gentric:
I'll send you an email--I can't respond to PM's.
not at all..he was just looking for input on creating a top notch MMA movie. Who better to ask then the hard core fanatics?
Now you are using your thinking cap!! The biggest difference between BKMP and IPRE, besides the OS, is that the CEO here is transparent and very open. Heck, he has almost 1000 public posts on sherdog.net and a myspace account.
If you are looking for a guarantee, take the Pistons in game 5...but don't invest in the pinkies if you aren't willing to lose.
Don't let pride get in the way of your progress. Get in and enjoy the ride. There is no dilution and you still have a very good chance at a double.
Mr. Hergott comments, "This is the most exciting project I have ever been involved with. I have been an MMA fan since its North American introduction in 1993. I have competed in Judo, and have closely followed MMA. I frequently visit, and sometimes post on the fan sites. I believe the sport is about to explode into the mainstream, and I intend to be a part of that movement."
Never Submit is the big one, folks. Could easily gross 50M.
45 days til BKMP "giddy's up"---IMO< of course!!
Actually, Charlatan's right. BKMP and IPRE could actually do some cross promotion. I'm sure IPRE will advertise their upcoming MMA movie on TFN, additionally the movie is going to be filmed in Canada.
Thats a shocker!!!
Interesting, I came up with .024. Close enough!!
Done much DD on IPRE??? They are in the process of producing a MMA movie that will feature some big name stars, to be in production this summer. That movie alone could bring in 30-50M in distribution. I could see some cross promotion opps with BKMP.
If you haven't bought a few M of IPRE, I don't know what your waiting for. You will be able to come back and buy more BKMP in a month.
So, I guess we'll be seeing A LOT of Faye Dunaway this summer on E, Larry King, etc, etc. promoting her new movie, "Say it In Russian"?
Agreed, if they PR that they've landed a major name from UFC or Pride like Lidell or Georges St. Pierre, to play in the movie, it could give us a real boost.
From James' posts on sherdog.net, it looks they are auditioning for parts very soon and they are working with a 1-4 million dollar budget. These MMA fighters are tremendously underpaid and would jump on an opportunity like this.
I wonder how funny it will be if the MMA movie makes 30M. Then .03 would really be laughable.
lol...I'd feel real comfortable having them as my investment "team".
he put OT in his post..its no big deal. Please relax and GLTY!!
Who is the 'we'? Does this guy have a mouse in his pocket or something??? What a clown!
Good point..sherdog.net gets over 800k hits per month. Thats good viral marketing.
MMA seems to be a big passion of James Hergott. He has almost 1000 posts over on sherdog.net. I was reading through some of them, he wants to use pro mma fighters in the movie, which is a great idea and fan draw.
What was the OS during the run to .20?? Anyone know?
Maybe Don Trump can make a dent in the float for us. I'm sure he could spare a 100k to make a play on this.
Mini biography http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1795909/bio
James Hergott was born in Cornwall, Ontario in 1976. Always an imaginative spirit, Hergott's film career began in high school at age thirteen when he got his first home video camera. His cast and crew were comprised of other kids in his neighborhood. Though Hergott struggled with a learning disability in his early years, he was found to be of superior intellectual caliber with an escalated sense of ingenuity and creativity.
While in college at York University, Hergott started his own business, a 1-900 job line servicing all of Canada. His new venture skyrocketed, and he even turned his dorm room into his corporate headquarters, but he never lost his true passion for filmmaking. In 1999, his biggest break yet came when he met Hollywood producer Tarquin Gotch at the Toronto Film Festival. The two formed an instant friendship and working relationship. Gotch was so impressed with Hergott's tenacity and love of filmmaking that he took him under his tutelage. Together they developed the Showtime biopic "Call Me Donald" on real estate mogul Donald Trump. The collaboration garnered national media attention for Hergott in the industry cornerstone Variety which reported "Young Buck, Plays Trump Card" in their April 1999 issue. The Don himself also praised Hergott's work and in a personal letter to the young filmmaker, Mr. Trump wrote that he was "extremely talented" and wished him the best in his "burgeoning career."Hergott also went on to co-write the feature film "Brothers" with Gotch, which is scheduled to begin production in Canada in early 2006. The partnership led to the co-founding of Steinberg Gotch Entertainment with Hergott, Gotch and famous sports agent Leigh Steinberg.
In 2004, Hergott went solo with the production and direction of his first feature film "All That I Need." The film debuted at the Cannes International Film Festival Market in 2005 as part of a roster of films presented by Beverly Hills production company Imperia Entertainment. Following the success of the film at Cannes, Imperia executives decided to offer Hergott the presidency of the company, a challenge he eagerly accepted. In this position, he was able to secure a limited theatrical release of "All That I Need" with the Regal/UA Theatre chain that exhibited the film on screens across the country. Hergott has also been featured in over 200 media outlets throughout the U.S. and Canada as well as a number of national publications including Indie Slate and Create Magazines.
Hergott currently lives in Orange County California. When he's not making movies, he enjoys weightlifting and Judo.
Looks like there are 5 film festivals coming up over the next 3 months. That should keep the PR machine running and increase the chances of one of the films being picked up.
that would be correct..most of the movies coming out have been GARBAGE.
The MMA movie could be bigger than anything else on the table. Its the fastest growing spectator sport in N. America, I definitely think they could get wide distribution on that film.
Pretty timely movie??! Its set in the 1930's, you lil rascal!
Say THAT in Russian!!! :)
June 1st, maninfla.
Depends on whether they bid whack or not. If you sell into a run and set your sell price a few ticks up, it will not effect the stock. Problems happen when one guy panics and sells at the bid and a domino effect occurs.
Katie better be a strong gal. ;)
Took your advice charlatan..(from the BKMP board). You sound confident this will get to .03+.
Looks like the AS is 200,000,000 for TFN Radio. Could be a nice play in the fall.
Time to change your handle??? Maybe IPREisKING
Most, (emphasis on most), are working with the assumption of 7-10B.
Here's to hoping the remainder of the dumb money sells this month, so Sandy can complete the buyback. The greedy and impatient always lose.
Well, that proves that it can be done. I think we have a better business model, though, and the MMA sector is much "hotter" right now. Kung Fu movies are huge, there are entire stores that just carry Kung Fu DVDs.
Seems like they are more geared towards Kung Fu movie enthusiasts and not pure MMA fans. TFN is the ESPN of MMA.
I noticed "Black Belt TV" was part of the sports package for FIOS TV. I've never heard of them.

Sounds similar to what TFN is doing but not as much MMA and wrestling.
The ole' 45 day prediction, eh?? May 15th, Q1#'s due....should be a fun day around here.
