Apparently Quality Stocks is still covering VSPC, they issued a pr this morning regarding Tuesdays' pr about VGREFs' otc listing, saw it on pinksheets under vspc news link. Better than nothing, I guess.
Whatever happened to all those stock promo websites (Quality Stocks, etc.) that were paid with all those shares within the past few months (two different campaigns, if my memory serves me well)? Did the timelines expire re VSPC's exposure? Just curious, because it seems like VSPC could have timed that all a little better, now that VGREFs' listing's been officially PR'd. It seems a lot of eyes are on this, waiting and holding, since the share price didn't tank, due to impatient, desperate sellers, but I think we could use the extra exposure right about now, and I haven't seen the company mentioned much of anywhere, coverage wise. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected. JMHO. Good luck to all.
If planting GKG in the U.S. is out of the question due to unpredictable(seasonal)climate changes, I can't help but wonder if the company hasn't considered leasing(buying, if feasible-depending on the political stability of these countries) land along the Equator where the climes are more suitable to the tropical norm, as far as growing the GKG is concerned. Being classified as a tropical plant, it would need a lot of water and sunlight, just look at its relatively short term growth rate, regarding height to time ratio. On a separate note, just want to say Hi! I've been reading this board for the past few months, I am a small shareholder, appreciate the input the positive posters here contribute, and, just like the rest of you, just waiting to see what happens. I'm more of a reader, not much of a poster (at all), just thought it time to put my two cents in (no pun intended). Take care, and GLTA (that's good luck to all, for all you old timers, like myself.....)
So, basically, Toyota is trying to base its' most recent defense on a conflict of interest platform, with regard to divulging certain information potentially important to said suit, with Emadi as the scapegoat, yet apparently, knowledgeable badguy. Thanks for all the links, info, etc. regarding solm, btw. Much appreciated.
I can't help but be amused how, not that long ago, when the U.S. markets declined, the global markets would react in tandem, more or less, at least for the short term. Now, with all the enthusiasm that has gone in the direction of the Asian markets, namely China (not to mention our little CHDT gem here),all the money that has poured into Asia specific funds, individual stocks, etc., kind of ironic how the U.S. markets now react to trading overseas. I guess it had to take a good run-up in markets on both sides of the globe, and its inevitable correction, barring Iran and the Cheney incident, to get a glimpse of how cash flow leaves the U.S., exports vs. imports, etc. Chinese tulips, anyone? GLTA
Log onto stockhouse.com, and click on the news link. That was the site that purepennies, which seems to be out of commission for some reason or another, would take you to for their news feed.
OT CHDT'S not looking too popular after todays news. Company fundamentals still have a pulse, though, IMO. Time will tell. Might be a good bottom play. GLTY
Hopefully(hope being a dark trading strategy), UPDA will help make up for the stock you mentioned. Good luck to you also. Regards.
Is Howard still a majority shareholder in CHDT? I recall this being one of the major positive points repeatedly brought out during the glory days of this previous summer, when expectations were sky-high. Maybe the generator biz wasn't going as well as anticipated, so you amputate it like you would a useless limb. When the pr parade stopped, and the skies got darker due to less or no news, emphasis was being placed on Howards business expertise, his extensive experience in doing business with China, etc., etc., etc. Would anyone here expect him to hang onto the generator end of CHDT until it turned into a liability(providing it already hasn't?). Granted, Capstone doesn't seem like the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow, the success of tile sales(if any) pending, but maybe letting go of CPS is for the best of China Direct. I don't post on these boards very often at all, prefer to be a reader and observer, but maybe, just maybe, folks here aren't seeing the forest for the trees. If the bossman starts shedding shares, other than his assumed paychecks, then the sell and panic buttons would merge. Look at the bright side, if the selling continues, all the so-called longs and fervent believers of yestermonths will be able to average down BIGTIME. GLTA and regards.
I agree. Strange though how on Wednesday, after the 9:45a.m. pr regarding the 12 state fuel distributors license, the pps started to drop for a bit, though it did recover as the day went on. Only mentioning this in light of speculation on various boards regarding the company selling shares into news. All in all, the pps seems sustainable, and growing, bit by bit. Time will tell and we shall see. Although dilution is a major no-no, if such is the case, lotsa projects going on that require funding. GLTA.
Don't know about UPDA (so far, so good; technical indicators ramping up nicely). OT-Going by your list of fave stocks, looks like CHDT is bailing out of the generator biz, apparently in their best of interests. PR out today. As Tolstoy once said, "Ah, well....."
At least the share price and volume are staying relatively steady, at this low level, without news, although we could sure use some sort of update from the company. Seems the bulk of shareholders are in the same boat. Obvious lack of attention in regard to flippers/traders, just not enough volume. It's been a month since the last pr, hope all is well (or getting better?). Overdue for an upturn, just on technicals. News, anything decent, would add a nice boost. Hang in there bud. Time will tell.
Nice recovery to just under the previous highs. Should be sustainable (beats .14 or below); hope they keep the good news coming. GLTA.
Just to give credit where it's due, I've been in this stock for about 8 weeks now (bought in at the pr about the Ford contract, close to the high, only to watch it gradually sink like a stone-as Tolstoy once said, "Ah, well.....) and, with the few posts here, due to uncertainty, lack of momo, hence downturn, your posts seem to be among the most objective, on either side of the spectrum, and informative. Kudos to you. Refreshing to see this move up a bit in pps and volume. Hope it's sustainable. GLTY and all.
There was an article yesterday on CBS Marketwatch home page, written by Chuck Jaffe, one of their staff writers(whom, might I add, wrote a not so flattering article about ACHI back in July 2005, apparently a response to a tout sent him at the time via e-mail), in regards to an apparent rash of poorly spelled e-mails being sent out randomly to individuals touting a variety of penny stocks for the sake of pump and dump, the SEC got involved in a couple of them, leading to fines, charges etc. These e-mails supposedly had the same name for addressor and addressee, apparently faking being mistakenly sent for the sake of getting the attention of the addressee, in order to "anonymously" pump/tout/advertise the stock, subsequently leading to a sell-off days later; you know the drill. Just thought I would pass this on, since you mentioned your e-mail, relevant or not. The same-name deal seems to be the outstanding characteristic of this particular scam.
Steven, I would also imagine any amount drawn from this credit line, said transaction would have to be filed with the sec, obviously if it's funded through the sale of Howard's shares on the open market. Would this also apply to the funding coming straight out Howards pocket, in regards to disclosure?
Has anyone entertained the possibility that the 900K mentioned in todays filing is coming from the 2.5mil, which I am under the impression was originally established as an open line of credit should the need arise. Prior to todays sec filed loan amount, I can't recall any other loans made since the pr regarding the availability of the 2.5mil was released, although rather often it seems that this 2.5mil is referred to as a done deal loan to be included in whatever ventures the company may be looking into.
Thanks for your prompt response, Sentinel. I was under the impression that the company had the length of the third qtr. to report as a timeline. I've seen other companies report at different times in the past, so I wasn't aware of the 15th as a concrete deadline, without filing for an extension.
Was this date mentioned in one of the various recent interviews with Howard? If so, you would think releasing a corresponding PR would have been appropriate, to set it in stone, more or less. If I'm missing something, or just being plain ignorant, my apologies in advance.
Do we know for a fact that 2nd qtr earnings are indeed to be released on Tues. 8/15, or is this hopeful speculation based on previous quarterly earnings release time frames? Sure seems to be an awful lot of certainty attached to the 15th.
Sure looks like the money's going towards funding company growth, with mention of funding for possible acquisitions and new/additional US distribution channels. All things look positive. We need news, and all we can do is wait and watch.
I just backtracked my read posts to last night and I believe I may have been hit around post#12076. This may have been a time frame worm insertion, not particular to any one post. Be careful all. Some malignant fiend (loser on the downtrend?) may have us in its sights.
No problem at all. Just seemed kind of strange, with the turnaround on the board (old time posters exiting, new people on board, the pps tanking, etc.)and now this. A little bit of digital Man from U.N.C.L.E.,(an old spy show from the 60's, for those too young to know)know what I mean?
I haven't read through all the posts since yesterday, but was just wondering if any of you experienced this; last night I got on CHDT's message board here at ihub, got through 2 posts when my Norton program detected and blocked a worm. I had to shut down, restarted, figured I would try again, with the same results. Obviously, today all is well. Just wanted to pass this on as a word of caution, hoping you all have anti virus protection and it's all up to date.
It just seems a bit odd that the company should issue a press release for April and May of 2006 of 4.8 mil., then omit a specific figure for June of 06, issue a release quoting 6.5 mil. for the 2nd qtr, assuming, on average that April and May were 2.4 mil, that leaves 1.7 mil. for the month of June, alone, a less impressive figure, in comparison, if my calculations are correct IMO. Personally, I wouldn't have issued a separate press release for the month of June, either, on a stand alone basis. I AM NOT BASHING THE STOCK, I still own shares from before the rollercoaster ride, and haven't sold any YET. Just thought I would bring this issue to the attention of anyone that may be vaguely concerned. If I am wrong in regards to any of the above, my apologies are extended. There just seems to be a point where you have to differentiate between solid, informative press releases, and just plain old fluff/filler.GLTA.
Whatever happened to the June generator sales numbers? If I remember correctly, this was a hotly awaited figure, at the time, then seemed to fade away with all the other fanfare, for want of better wording.....
I believe TS stands for tropical storms. Welcome aboard janeverite.
Happy Fourth everybody! Great day yesterday, considering the shortened holiday session and all. The volume alone was impressive. I didn't get to see the day unfold, but I understand there were some big lots of shares going through. Gearing up for a green week ahead (and then some.....). Enjoy your holiday, folks!
Bought more on a limit order @ .09 (great call by stevenvegas on the pps dipping @ day end, a few hundred posts ago HEH, HEH...good for me, too, come to think of it, HEH,HEH,HEH,HEH,HEH.....) Looking up, and staying long! A hale and hearty goodnight to all!
New roller, coming out! Box cars, tomorrow, ya think?!?!?!?!Maybe better.....
I've spent the last few hours trying to get through all the posts since last night, and am nowhere near done. Needless to say, all the attention being paid toward CHDT within 24 hours is incredible. Just staying in touch.
No, that's not me. Funny coincidence, though. A few years back, when I used to play poker regularly with a bunch of buddies, there was a poker game variation called "dollars,yo"; That's pretty much where that came from. I thought it appropriate for our particular scenario here....know what I mean? (just thinking ahead)
I bought in about three weeks ago, sold(unfortunately) at a small profit(just testing the waters), and bought back in again( at a higher price, of course),now just enjoying the ride.....
Great board you all have going here. No mudslinging b.s. like the others. Excellent d.d. with an entertaining environment, when appropriate(burp ever pick up any DD shares?) Sure seems like this company's going places!
