we really need to bring up treason charges in washington's lawmakers..........
PHOENIX – Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer demanded Friday that a reference to the state's controversial immigration law be removed from a State Department report to the United Nations' human rights commissioner.
The U.S. included its legal challenge to the law on a list of ways the federal government is protecting human rights.
In a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Brewer says it is "downright offensive" that a state law would be included in the report, which was drafted as part of a UN review of human rights in all member nations every four years.
"The idea of our own American government submitting the duly enacted laws of a state of the United States to 'review' by the United Nations is internationalism run amok and unconstitutional," Brewer wrote.

all this manipulation should be used by all of us to put stuff aside and get ready for the inevitable.

Japan Yen Intervention May Fail Without U.S., European Union Coordination
Any effort by Japan to weaken the yen after it rallied to a 15-year high may fail without help from the U.S. and the European Union, currency strategists say.

they will have to clear it with the US feds first..but im pretty sure its in the plans already,but....possible not the time..november is still a ways away...
think the last buying was really due to profit taking and the, break through the 1 hour trend brought in players thinking about the boj or possible seeing the top trend line?....I dont think its ready just yet though, because the feds I think ..they want to try to hold off interest rates for a while longer..cheaper for them to pay down debt to china..thats one view i have..
watching usd/jpy.
the hourly looks like to me a false break out..
if this does continue up,i would have to say it will be cause by the BOJ intervention..just my opinion at the moment.

well, the feds should be able to cushion the fall, but in the end the numbers will end up the same as you see as a strong bottom on a very long term chart.thats why i said oil could drop as low as 20$..sounds strange ,but all the pieces fit,and with that, you can correlate all pairs to find its bottom or top.if these numbers we allowed to hit all at once ,the very next day the world would start a strong and long recovery..but until every one who has control sees this, our only future is down. ,as far as trading in this market..dont over trade...and trade off the 4 hr chart....
one other subject related to my prior post,if you have a cam attached or built into your computer, put a piece of black tape over the lens ..for privacy,it can be accessed without the users knowledge..they probable could do it with the sound too..,just like the cell phone..

As the privacy controversy around full-body security scans begins to simmer, it’s worth noting that courthouses and airport security checkpoints aren’t the only places where backscatter x-ray vision is being deployed. Ground Zero Imam Says U.S. Worse than al-Qaeda
by Jason Mattera

EXCLUSIVE: Imam Rauf Exposed: "America Has Muslim Blood on Hands,N**word, Suicide bombers
New audio has surfaced of the imam behind the controversial mosque near Ground Zero allegedly telling an audience overseas that the United States has been far more deadly than al-Qaeda. "We tend to forget, in the West, that the United States has more Muslim blood on its hands than al-Qaeda has on its hands of innocent non Muslims," Feisal Abdul Rauf said at a 2005 lecture sponsored by the University of South Australia. After discussing the U.S.-led sanctions against Iraq under Saddam Hussein, Rauf went on to argue that America is to blame for its testy relationship with Islamic countries.
"What complicates the discussion, intra-Islamically, is the fact that the West has not been cognizant and has not addressed the issues of its own contribution to much injustice in the Arab and Muslim world.

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Crews were working Monday to control an oil well blowout that has forced evacuation of homes and businesses near Belle Rose, Louisiana, about 70 miles west of New Orleans, officials said.
No one was hurt when the blowout began Aug. 11. But six homes and two businesses have been evacuated and stretches of road closed in a one-mile perimeter around the well that has gushed as high as 200 feet into the air.
Yen Trades Near 7-Week High Versus Euro on Slowdown Signs; Aussie Declines
By Yoshiaki Nohara and Ron Harui - Aug 22, 2010
The yen traded near a seven-week high against the euro as signs the global economy is slowing boosted demand for Japan’s currency as a refuge. ??The yen advanced against 14 of its 16 major counterparts before reports this week forecast to show U.S. existing home sales fell and Japan’s export growth slowed in July. Australia’s currency dropped after the nation’s federal election failed to deliver a majority government for the first time in 70 years. The euro traded near a five-week low against the dollar before a European report that may show growth in the 16-nation region’s services and manufacturing industries slowed in August. ??“Concerns are increasing about the global economy,” said Kazuya Yashiro, currency analyst at Himawari Securities, Inc. in Tokyo. “The uncertain outlook causes the yen to be bought.” ??The yen rose to 108.64 per euro at 11:16 a.m. in Tokyo from 108.83 in New York on Aug. 20, when it reached 108.26, the highest since July 1. The yen was at 85.43 per dollar from 85.62. The currency touched 84.73 per dollar on Aug. 11, the most since July 1995. The euro fetched $1.2719 from $1.2712 on Aug. 20, when it touched $1.2664, the lowest since July 13. ??Sales of U.S. existing homes dropped 12.9 percent to a 4.68 million annual rate in July, according to the median estimate of economists in a Bloomberg News survey ahead of the National Association of Realtors’ report tomorrow. ??Japan’s shipments abroad advanced 21.8 percent in July from a year earlier, after increasing 27.7 percent in June, according to another Bloomberg survey before the Finance Ministry reports the data on Aug. 25.
‘On the Decline’
??“Investor risk appetite is starting the week on the decline, which provides a downward bias to higher-yielding global growth sensitive currencies,” John Kyriakopoulos, head of foreign-exchange strategy in Sydney at National Australia Bank Ltd., wrote in a research note today. ??The yen has advanced 14 percent this year in the biggest gain among developed-world counterparts, according to Bloomberg Correlation-Weighted Currency Indices. The euro has dropped 9.2 percent, while the dollar is up 3.6 percent. ??The yen typically strengthens in times of financial turmoil as Japan’s trade surplus makes the currency attractive as it means the nation does not have to rely on overseas lenders. ??Gains in the yen were limited on speculation the Bank of Japan will add to monetary easing to alleviate the threat the currency’s climb poses to growth.
‘Getting Alarmed’
??“Policy makers are getting alarmed” about the yen’s strength, said Masahide Tanaka, a senior strategist in Tokyo at Mizuho Trust & Banking Co., a unit of Japan’s second-largest bank. “It’s getting harder for the BOJ to do nothing. That may create a psychological effect to stop a rapid decline of the dollar against the yen.” ??Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan spoke with Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa by phone today about the yen and the economy, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshito Sengoku said. ??The Australian dollar dropped against all its major peers as neither Prime Minister Julia Gillard nor opposition leader Tony Abbott obtained an outright majority in the Aug. 21 vote, meaning one side must win negotiations with independent lawmakers to form a government. ??The so-called Aussie “will bear the brunt of the uncertainty,” said Su-Lin Ong, senior economist at RBC Capital Markets Ltd. in Sydney. “Political uncertainty, a more unstable government, an obstructionist Senate, and the risk of medium term fiscal slippage as the minor parties exert their influence in a new government are clearly negative for the markets.”
Europe’s Outlook
??The Australian dollar fell 0.4 percent to 89.02 U.S. cents. It dropped 0.7 percent to 76.02 yen. ??The euro was near a seven-week low against the pound after France’s government last week cut its forecast for economic growth next year as President Nicolas Sarkozy prepares for the biggest budget squeeze in at least two decades. ??Europe’s second-largest economy will grow 2 percent in 2011, instead of the 2.5 percent previously predicted, Sarkozy’s office said on Aug. 20 in an e-mailed statement. France has pledged to cut the budget deficit to 6 percent of gross domestic product next year and to 3 percent by 2013 from about 8 percent in 2010. ??“Europe’s sovereign risks may re-emerge amid lingering concerns about its fiscal health,” said Hideki Amikura, deputy general manager of foreign exchange in Tokyo at Nomura Trust & Banking Co., a unit of Japan’s largest brokerage. “Under this scenario, the euro is likely to weaken.” ??London-based Market Economics may say today its composite index, based on a survey of euro-area purchasing managers in services and manufacturing industries, fell to 56.3 this month from 56.7 in July, according to a Bloomberg survey of economists. ??The common currency fell to 81.68 pence from 81.83 pence on Aug. 20, and touched 81.61 pence, the lowest level

And since the state DMV began accepting license renewals on the Internet rather than requiring face-to-face transactions with customers, no DMV personnel ever see who is actually applying for a renewal online.
DMV offices collect a 12.7-percent fee for each in-person transaction performed, so in-person renewals would also help the local economy, Murtagh said.
But as it is, renewals can be issued online using a file photo that could be at least eight years old.
"If the state really wants to have driver identification, there should be a mandate to have them come to the office and have a new picture taken," Murtagh said. "Coming full circle is what needs to be done here

Israel has '8 days' to hit Iran nuclear site: Bolton
Tue Aug 17, 8:02 am ET
WASHINGTON (AFP) – Israel has "eight days" to launch a military strike against Iran's Bushehr nuclear facility and stop Tehran from acquiring a functioning atomic plant, a former US envoy to the UN has said.
Iran is to bring online its first nuclear power reactor, built with Russia's help, on August 21, when a shipment of nuclear fuel will be loaded into the plant's core.
At that point, John Bolton warned Monday, it will be too late for Israel to launch a military strike against the facility because any attack would spread radiation and affect Iranian civilians.
"Once that uranium, once those fuel rods are very close to the reactor, certainly once they're in the reactor, attacking it means a release of radiation, no question about it," Bolton told Fox Business Network.
"So if Israel is going to do anything against Bushehr it has to move in the next eight days."

Hamas Leader: Ground Zero Mosque Must Be Built
A Hamas leader says Muslims "have to build" a mosque near ground zero.
Mahmoud al-Zahar said Muslims "have to build everywhere" so that followers can pray, just like Christians and Jews build their places of worship.
Al-Zahar spoke Sunday on "Aaron Klein Investigative Radio" on WABC-AM. He is a co-founder of Hamas and its chief on the Gaza Strip.
Sen. Chuck Schumer says Al-Zahar's comments don't carry any weight because Hamas is a terrorist organization. Schumer hasn't taken a stand on the mosque.
Rep. Peter King, who opposes the mosque, says he won't respond to Hamas.
Japan Q2 growth slows amid worry about yen rise
TOKYO (Reuters) - Japan's economic growth slowed markedly in April-June and analysts predict further slowdown, adding to policymakers' difficulties as they grapple with deflation and a rise in the yen that threatens an export-reliant recovery.
