my read is that the letter from gosy is complaining to FINRA about:
#1, George Wallace
and
#2, Neil Wallace
which parts if the letter do you like?
which parts of the letter do you dislike?
do you dislike it all?
do you like it all?
why never any comment about the actual contents and intent of the letter?
simple questions for those that have strong records in identifying MM's manipulating pinkies?
any URL's?
just guessing?

geckochat is really extraordinary...
...it is a verbal interface for the carebot and a great upgrade for the safepath wheelchair.
it is true AI with natural language processing (NLP) using forward chaining if/then/else written in a mature AI language, prolog.
the microphone "array" is super cool, too. it improves the signal to noise dramatically and enables the voice recognition software to recognize words such that the NLP of AI engine can reliably "recognize" predetermined phrases and/or words.
the family gets to customize this interface and tailor it exactly for the needs and benefits of their beloved family member.
so the voice synthesis must be clear and loud enough to be readily heard and understood by the carereceiver.
wow!
not a simple system. less complex than the safepath tech, but...
and then there is geckoscheduler...
wonder when ZMP is going to evaluate the full blown boogie? a carebot?
prototypes tend to be delicate. shipping could be a problem-
in conclusion, geckochat is fundamental and I don't see verbal interaction, for monologues and/or dialogues, on anyone else's personal companion robot.
gosy has much, much more than safepath to license-
I agree with Spencer, I think licensing revenues will easily precede product sales-
jmo-
mech
again, which parts of the letter do you prefer?
and which parts do you disagree with?
or do you disagree with it all?
or do you agree with it all?
simple questions-
no?
I find Wallace being "the fall guy" absolutely hilarious!!
jmo-

this is one of my favorite parts:
ZMP now knows that geckonav is...
...big time breakthrough AI nav software for all mobile robots!
they have seen the 120+ videos and now they have been evaluating a basebot for a couple of months.
don't think the basebot normally includes geckoorient.
geokoorient is really, really cool "sensor fusion" tech
Frost and Sullivan like it:
http://geckosystems.com/investors/third_party.php
orient "sensor fuses" dead reckoning, compass and accelerometer to achieve high accuracy, no accumulated error and low cost.
why? to have a very low cost for the robot to know which direction it is facing. like an internal compass, but more accurate since magnetic compasses "dance" at times due to metal structures, etc.
really, really innovative tech from gosy!
huge markets in family care, professional healthcare and commercial security-
all using basebot tech like ZMP is evaluating!
jmo-
mech
in the ZMP basebot demo video...
no doubt gosy has had dozens of consultants the last 15 years.
who specifically are you referring to?
surely those known to you that have no reason to lie to you have shared their specific names with you-
btw, without IP addresses confirming the true identity of anonymous posters, all else is "just guessing."
sorry, I don't get your point here-
btw, if MacLeod is radioactive, and used Wallace's home address, and Wallace forged MacLeod's signature on DE court docs, does that mean that Wallace will be lighting up in the night without even being plugged in?
jmo-
mech
all walking robots have a battery life less than 1 hour-
that is why all the serious products for eldercare personal robots are "differential drive."
btw, the reason you have never seen a bipedal walking robot going down stairs is that they tumble and crash!!
gosy's geckomotorcontroller tech is cool and very efficient!
jmo-
mech
oh?
what figures do you deem valid?
what % FL nursing homes do you see in bankruptcy?
suppose my mother likes the companionship she has next door and across the street and the garden club and the bridge club that she has been members of for 30+ years?
what about her church groups-
this is why folks do not want to go into nursing homes-
unless they have to because of medical conditions-
otherwise, is home sweet home not best for mom?
jmo-
mech
nursing homes are two edged sword-
on one hand they are very expensive.
"slums" are $3.5-4K per month
national average is $4.5K per month
the economics are so bad that 50% of all nursing homes in FL are in bankruptcy-
now for the sharper edge of the sword-
there is a huge emotional trauma to the beloved parents that sends them into depression and they die in 1-2 years!
whereas, staying in their own home of 20-30+ years, they may live another 5-10 years!
so what does the family, adult children, want?
to keep their beloved parent as safe and comfortable such that their twilight years can be as good as they can be-
nursing homes "tend" to be dumping grounds for family members that are abandoned by their children-
hence the extraordinary means of keeping grandma at home as long as possible.
I do not see the carebot eliminating nursing homes, but putting off that incarceration as long as is possible-
those that have had direct eldercare responsibility understand the foregoing very, very well!
so tech is great from GOSY to put "family first"
jmo-
mech
one civilization's technology is another civilization's "magic"
science fiction occurs before science fact.
"flight for man" was deemed impossible and not needed for centuries.
personal robots are now at GOSY!
the Japanese government is paying 90% of eldercare personal robots for their elderly.
I agree with the Japanese government.
jmo-
mech
so you have seen it?
and it has no basis in fact whatsoever?
I believe the story line is family values.
are family values fiction?
not for me!
if I had a "special" toaster that would keep grandma out of a stinky, traumatizing, bankrupt nursing home, I would have one in her house now!
sorry, but the middle class is now the tiny class. we all need carebots to keep eldercare expenses low-
jmo-
mech
once you see "Robot and Frank," I think you will change your mind-
they have midnight showings, too!
let us all know what you think after you see this wonderful movie about elder care capable personal robots.
surely they had some good reasons why a nursing home wasn't good enough for their beloved father.
I hear no mention of emotional trauma to the elderly parents being imprisoned where they do not want to be-
why is that?
jmo-
mech
most of us cannot afford fancy assisted living-
further, the greatest cost is not financial, it's the emotional trauma to grandma that she no longer has her own home and friends of 30-40 years nearby.
many, if not most, folks that use nursing homes and assisted care for their parents do not do so unless they really want to punish their parent(s?) by incarcerating them for their final years in a stinky, bankrupt "dead end."
IMO, the longer my mother stays safe at home with friends and relatives nearby, the better!
btw, if both caregivers work full time, they could still use a carebot during the day or when they are running errands-
the carebot does NOT replace family care, it simply makes it more efficient, less stressful, and much, much less money than a near bankrupt nursing home.
most of us simply cannot afford the "nice" places you describe. it is very fortunate that you have the wealth to do so!
good for you!
jmo-
mech
I guesstimated the basebot cost to be...
$10K, easy. this big marketing investment should also include Hajime Yasumatsu's retainer for his missionary sales work.
I will study the carebot prototypes and see what my guesstimate is there.
probably a lot more!
more compters, voice tracker microphone, ssl stereo amp, more IR, PIR added, sonar added, geckoorient, tactile shroud-
I see very few custom boards. so most are COTS. investors gotta love that!
takes a lot of tech to be capable of cost effective beneficial care for our beloved, but frail, family members.
btw, the carebot does not fall over. the 50-60 lb. battery is between the "ankles" and keeps it "anti-tipover."
really impressed with that independent third party validation of gosy's basebot tech by ZMP.
more to come, I suspect-
jmo-
mech
gosy's tactile shroud technology...
...is totally cool!
the covering of the carebot is thermoformed plastic I believe.
it hangs down from the shoulders on 2 perpendicular axes. that gives it easy movement in any direction! all 360 degrees-
now comes the clever part, they use a 2 axis solid state accelerometer to "locate" a hit or brush of any place on the shroud.
this tactile shroud subsystem talks to the geckospio. the spio then uses TCP/IP to inform the geckosuper as to where and how hard the shroud was hit or touched. the super then does the appropriate forwarding to nav, and even chat!
chat can now babble:
"ah been hit on ma arse!" ha!
the carebot does have a "bustle" LOL-
yup, gosy's tactile shroud tech is truly sick-
jmo-
mech
gosy is ready to manufacture and market...
...their personal companion robots, the carebot.
no one in the world has sold any personal companion robots, at all, much less as advanced as the carebot.
hence, gosy has "first mover" advantage in a HUGE market.
Spencer is to be applauded for his many years preparing for this "family first" marketplace.
iRobot's AVA?
just a very, very expensive "software development" platform according to their website-
jmo-
mech
another nifty gosy tech is...
...geckoprox!
basically prox is a series of passive infra red (PIR) proximity detectors that enable the carebot to "watch" grandma while she is sleeping and see if she is getting out of bed, at say 2AM.
prox talks to spio, spio talks to super and super tells chat to ask grandma if she is okay!
if the family wants to know that grandma is up in the middle of the night, they can be notified all kinds of ways: verbal, phone, email, pager, or whatever-
and then view her using the carebot's webcam!
ain't it awesome?
grandma safe and NOT in a nursing home-
I think that the Japanese are having difficulty in getting their "partner robots" accepted by little old ladies because they haven't enabled their personal robots to interact politely.
that's what the numerous AI savants that gosy has developed does!
jmo-

this was done at the Atlanta marriott?
for visiting Japanese businessmen?
wasn't this demo arranged by Hajime Yasumatsu?
great demo and great work!
BTW, aren't demo videos always "staged?" I mean you have to have a video camera "staged" and "ready."
and who wants to see elderly grandma first thing in the morning on a live streaming video? not only an invasion of privacy, but what loving adult children would allow such invasion of their mother's feeble state?
gosy has great proprietary tech and HUGE markets!
especially in family care!

wonder what the criteria will be for the carebot beta testers?
family is always first, so probably more family members of employees of gosy. that makes lots of "logistical" sense to me.
then probably family members of suppliers and large investors.
bet some double and triple digit millionaires would rather have a carebot following them around than a "live-in" invading their "space."
that's part of what makes the carebot so great-
family members get to honor the dignity and privacy of their beloved next of kin.
anyone that has genuine, heartfelt concern for family wants the carebots to be sold by the tens, if not hundreds, of thousands!
because nursing homes suck!
Home Sweet Home-
technology should make life better!
for "family first!"
jmo-

"portability" is a huge word in software devel-
it also means "re-usable"
and robust
and extensible
and non brittle
and not a singular solution
the fact that gosy migrated their nav from their proprietary platform to a commercial off the shelf Imasen wheelchair is big news.
I suspect the last thing that Imasen ever expected was for gosy's AI to guide their chair better than a person. this reality is got to be very, very difficult for the traditional wheelchair folks to accept...
so now any "decent" power wheelchair can be upgraded to safepath
and wheelchair bases can be cost effectively used for power and locomotion in the professional healthcare and commercial security markets.
wow!
proprietary tech, huge markets and competent management.
gosy is too cheap for sure!
jmo-

gosy's safepath wheelchairs have some...
neat tech, too!
they prove that gosy's tech can be migrated to platforms not of their design.
big market, especially the retrofit!
jmo-

as an astute technologist...
...and someone that has genuine, heartfelt family values...
...I am sure you understand that gosy has a "suite" of mobile robot solutions that in "aggregate" enable personal companion mobile robots suitable for eldercare.
the Japanese government is going to pay 90% of robotic assisted care for their elderly beginning in 2015. they have millions and millions of little old ladies deserving of safety, honor, dignity, independence, and security.
that is HUGE!
I wish my parents were still living. they would have loved a carebot to keep them out of an assisted care facility or nursing home.
the choice is obvious- I would rather have a robot following me around nagging me to take my medicine and allowing my beloved relatives and friends to watch me over the internet than be in ANY assisted care or nursing home. I suspect most folks feel the same way.
nursing homes suck!
so I really am very appreciative of the Spencers' 15 years of hard work in developing the carebot!
gotta raise funds for manufacturing and marketing!
