I DONT THINK THAT IS A CRAZY BET AT ALL. MY BUDDIES KEEP TALKING UCONN UP BIG TIME, BUT I CANT FIND ANY NUMBERS HERE THAT JUSTIFY IT EITHER. SO THEY BEAT SFL. NOT IMPRESSED. UCONN AT HOME THOUGH.
THINK I WILL BE AVOIDING THIS GAME.
I rarely get on the computer after work hours and if so only to do quick research just before a bet. Va Tech just has too tough of a defense and the QB for Ga Tech is decent, but take away the dominant running game and it is a recipe for disaster. Just hope I can hit on some of those parlays.
The more and more I look at BC, the more I like them also.
You really like Col over Miss? I know Col is an up and coming team...but so is Missouri. They are firing on all cylinders right now. Col has beaten some good offenses (TT for example) but not sure any of them were as balanced as Missouri. Normally I like Colorado in these types of matchups but from numbers I can't justify them. Any insight would be appreciated.
Took Va Tech last night alone and with some parlays...
Va Tech/ BC
Va Tech/ BC / Mich
Va Tech/ UTEP
For this week I like:
BC
Mich
UTEP
Still researching but lookin possible..
Missouri
IU
Navy
UCONN--sort of scares me.
Any thoughts?
Anyone else liking Va Tech tonight? I do, especially with Ga Tech RBs out.
Man, I don't know. From the games I have watched with FL St they have been nothing but unimpressive to me. Their offense is terrible (comparably) and their defense is decent. Think their offense will struggle a lot at BC. Wake Forest covered 6.5 at Wake Forest against FL St. I do agree with the 'big game hangover' theory, but also think if you are going to play in this league, you need to be able to overcome that when playing a football program as storied as FL St.
Probably won't bet them big, only because teams like FL St and Miami scare me, but think they will cover.

What you think about BC -6.5 v. FL St at BC? From initial glance at the lines, I think this is looking pretty good.
CTUM News:
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, Oct 30, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- CSMG Technologies, Inc.
(OTCBB: CTUM) President and CEO Donald S. Robbins today issued an update on the
most recent developments with subsidiary Live Tissue Connect (LTC).
"We are extremely pleased to issue this update and report on several important
milestones we have achieved over the last few months regarding the surgical
human tissue welding technology, being developed by our Live Tissue Connect
subsidiary," stated Mr. Robbins.
"Our LTC subsidiary has continued to make great progress over the past three
months. The company has supplied the FDA with information required to support
our recently filed 510k, our products have passed critical tests and we continue
to advance our sales, marketing options. Presently we are evaluating multiple
distribution options both in the U.S. and internationally," continued Mr.
Robbins.
LTC's Frank D'Amelio said, "The LTC VAD.400 generator has just passed all
applicable IEC601 standards and can soon be CE marked by TUV. We are commencing
along a similar path with our disposable instruments. The group is presently
gearing up to start our first production build of both the LTC generator and the
two LTC disposable instruments during the first quarter of 2008. We are also
making important progress with respect to tissue-material science research and
clinical veterinary product evaluation options."
Mr. D'Amelio added, "I have been quite pleased with the caliber of expertise we
are attracting for all aspects of the company and its pending product launch."
LTC's strategy to maximize revenues was to form six wholly-owned LTC medical
procedure-specific subsidiaries, announced in May, is proving opportune and
timely. In essence, management is certain that by creating these separate
subsidiaries, it will maximize LTC's ability to enter into more lucrative and
focused marketing agreements, partnerships, joint ventures, or other types of
arrangements.
The targeted surgical specialty and the related newly-established subsidiaries
are:
-- Gynecology and General Surgery (GSG Medical Group)
-- Orthopedics & Arthroscopy (Orthopedic Tissue Sciences)
-- Colon Rectal Surgeries (Colorectal Connection Management)
-- Pulmonary/lung (Pulmonary Sealing Sciences)
-- Urology (Urological Tissue Welding)
-- cosmetic surgery (Aesthetic Tissue Welding, ATW)
Management is pleased to report that LTC is attracting interest from many
significant medical device companies and distributors interested in
representing, licensing, and/or marketing some aspect of the LTC technology.
Each LTC wholly-owned subsidiary represents a distinct manufacturing, marketing,
or licensing opportunity, and represents a major commercial opportunity for our
company. We are confident this approach adds considerable value to the company.
Looking forward, we have identified 12 procedure-specific divisions, but only
established subsidiaries for the first six we regard as closest to product and
market completion. This subsidiary structure should enable us to leverage LTC's
R&D across multiple medical disciplines. As an example, the R&D effort that went
into developing a sealing device for gynecological arteries and veins might be
leveraged into a similar device for urological procedures though would likely be
different in shape and/or size. This structure also lets potential marketing
partner's select surgical specialties where they have strong physician
relationships and/or pre-existing distribution channels.
About Live Tissue Connect
LTC's surgical tissue bonding / welding device is a patented platform technology
that bonds and reconnects human soft tissue through fusion, in contrast with
conventional wound closing devices such as sutures, staples, sealant, or glues.
LTC currently holds a total of approximately 40 patents in the U.S., Australia,
Canada, European Union, Ukraine and other countries.

Think the Wisconsin pick was Jake's.
I posted I liked FL Intl. That was a bust. Very very small bet though, I think they are terrible but 41 pts against a running team, had to gamble.
Other than that it was great weekend. Hit parlays with Az St/OSU, W VA/OSU, Troy/OSU, Boise St/OSU. Also bet OSU, W. Va, Troy alone.
For Pros:
Bet Steelers big. Lost a Parlay and 3 teamer with Pitt NYG and Browns because NYG couldnt beat Miami by more than three...grrr.
Hate to say it, because I am a Packers fan, but tonight is not a good match up for them. With no running game and bly and bailey on Driver, Jennings...not looking good. At Denver also. Should have parlayed them with Pitt.
Dropping Arizona St. They have not been tested enough for me to bet against Cal. Better places to put the money.
Thanks for the info on the game. That was the main reason I went so hard on Under last night with the rain. Got lucky on the BC win.
College Picks:
Made up my season losses last night with under on Col/Red Sox (that was a gimmie) and BC, under, and BC and under. So I shall fire hard this weekend.
I like:
Boise St
Ohio St
West Virginia
Troy
Arizona St
Fl Intl
Have not looked at Pro yet at all.
ME ALSO. OTHER WAY THOUGH. DAMN RUTGERS WERENT SUPPOSED TO WIN THAT. CONGRATS JAKE.
I TALKED WITH BOTH OF MY BETTING PARTNERS AND WE ALL SAID IT WOULD BE JUST LIKE RUTGERS TO BEAT THEM. AND THEN WE ALL BET SF. IDIOTS.
Grrrr. Afraid you were going to say that.
OT RE: Vibrant ads
Is it just me or does everyone get these little vibrant ads that pop up when you scroll over a 'highlighted word'? If so, does anyone know how to turn them off? I tried sending them an email but 'an error occured'.
I may not be a savy investor like many on this board, but I do believe that if you need the definition of share price or bank or money...you in the wrong place.
I will second the noon buy time. I have been watching this stock for a very long time and almost like clockwork there is a dip at noon that usually dissipates throughout the rest of the day.
Scottrade has treated me well with HMGP. If you have a check to them today by 5 you can trade Monday by noon. This is assuming of course that you have a Scottrade office at a location near you.
Wish it would have scared me off also. we are going to see what S FL is made of...down 7 in the 4th quarter at Rutgers. Glad I stayed away from the under. I am in for S FL.
Any thoughts on tonights game? I like S FL but they are playing at Rutgers. S FL has not looked impressive at all on the road this year. Rutgers has not been impressive at home this year. Last week S FL was strong against the run, can they contain Rice this week, when he was the last guy to rush for 100 yrds on them (last year)? I like under 52 but not sure about the team yet.
OT...Thanks Ren. Did not realize that.
Sat that game out on your advice. Thanks...I would have picked Hawaii and under. Did not fair too well this week again. LSU, Illinois, S Car killed me. Did well on UAB and came firin back on NE last night.
Thanks for the response. Think I will sit it out and save the powder for the better picks on Sat.
Jake..I know you are follower of Hawaii, what do you think about the game tonight? I somewhat like Hawaii -18.5. I am more intrigued by the o/u of 70.5. What do you, or anyone for that matter, think about that? At first look, both teams are definitely passing teams. San Jose appears to have decent pass defense, but I think it is probably more that everyone and their mother has run the ball so well that they decided they need not pass against them. Hawaii going into dead week so Brennan can be less cautious with his injury and it is a nationally televised game.
I also agree with you Coy...Illinois and S Carolina are great picks this week. Probably going to avoid the Penn St / Wisc game. Not sure yet about LSU.
You think USC covers with Booty out?
Between you and my normal bettin buddy you talked me into betting on SC. Unfortunately I just took half the money was going to bet on under and bet SC and under. SC covered and under did not. Damn.
I almost need to stop betting on college games. I would have my next born through college already if only bet the pro games and avoided the college games.
If had to pick, would probably agree with you. It is too close for me to call. I can talk myself into either winner. I will just play the under. I think the defenses will do a decent job at containing the offenses. Look for running game to be more prevalent than you might guess in this game.
GLTY
I like KY v SC under 58 tonight.
WIZD...I know I mentioned this previously but figured it was worth mentioning again. This stock is about ready to uplist and is adding new accounts frequently. It has buyout written all over it, IMHO of course. Not a quick momo play, or the normal chart that people like on this board but still a solid play for a longer time frame.
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=WIZD.OB
I am liking CTUM now also.
I admit I got stuck on the last run, bought in at .64 and watched run up to 1.08 then back down to .70 ish.
Still holding and looking to add on churning or any small dip. It is starting to show some real strength as the FDA announcement approaches. I believe the '90 day mark' was Monday or Tuesday, so it should be anyday. Looks like the volume/pps increase is in anticipation of the announcement.
For game tonight...
I think New England will handle Cincy easily. Cincy has no defense and we know about NE's offensive threats.
NE has one of the best pass defenses in the league. Cincy should have to throw the ball to keep up with NE and their RB is out I believe.
I have NE in a two teamer with GB (yesterday) but also like:
NE -7
NE -7 and Under 52.5
All I can say about college football is...
Ouch. Big upsets today. Luckily I went big on under last night with W VA game. Did not do so well with Penn St, OSU (lost by .5 pts on a rising spread..damn)or michigan. ND scored some points for once to help me also.
Like the Packers tomorrow at -2.
Have not looked at it as close as I will before betting, but I don't think Boise St will cover the 10.5 pts tonight. (For all those who have been following my posts and seen my luck the last couple weeks, you will know, it might be a good idea to bet Boise St -10.5.).
Only thing I don't like about the game is they are playing at home.
Be looking at more tomorrow for the weekend.
HMGP board gettin little off topic and brutal. Little volume there was seems to be drying up. It will probably start to inch up on small volume again as people think the drop is over and it is time to pick up some cheap shares. Will probably close down 3-6%. Just a guess.
He is right. Many will call, especially the younger players. My theory on this is that they 'learned' or 'grew up' watching TV poker. You only see the good/rare hands on TV in which the guy hits the gut shot straight or the flush etc to beat the dominant hand. They see the glamour and play for that. What they do not take into consideration is the 297 hands in between the two hands they saw on TV in which shooting for the gut shot straight left the guy with much fewer chips than he previously possessed.
I used to love playing at Foxwoods when TV poker was just getting big. There was an endless supply of college kids/younger players who were just begging to lose money at NL Hold'em. Almost quit work to play more often. It was so bad that you could watch the TV poker the night before and sure enough somebody the next day at Foxwoods would be wearing a hood or upside down sunglasses mimicking the winner from the night before. I used to laugh my @ss off.
I do like Navy -10 over Duke. Game is at Navy and they lead the nation in rushing. The question is...will Duke win 2 in a row for the first time since 2003? Hope not.
Have already bet on HMGP, probably more so than I should. I added again yesterday and have one more round of dry powder for HMGP or a good bounce play, whichever comes first. I am not as big a dog as most on here, but tryin to learn how to play her.
I agree about the games. I don't need to bet on them to enjoy watching them. Play a lot of cards, although not even a fraction of what I played before the ole girlfriend grabbed hold. She cut my poker nights from about 4-5 per week to 4-5 per month. Gahh. Been known to bet a lot on bags, washers, shoes, and boche ball though.
There isnt really any games that really jump out at me in either college or NFL. Still looking...got a little taste of last week last night...it tasted bad.
I do remember saying...i liked A&M and the under but suggested Miami and over. I might be on to a new betting strategy. Do all the research, decide who you think will win and by how much, bet the opposite. Recipe for disaster.
They sure can. They run the ball 2/3 times and half the times they drop back to pass QB takes off with it instead. Miami has not been putting up points this year against some suspect teams. A&M has been putting up points but think they will run into some problems when facing a little more solid/athletic defense than previous opponents.
Liking A&M and under.
This is jmho, and after looking at my last couple weeks I would suggest taking Miami and over.
Taking them also for avg wager.
Also taking under, think the line is 48.
Still lickin my wounds from Sunday.
Sounds like the usual stuff over on the hmgp board. I just hope they start coming out with some numbers soon. That is the only thing that will help the pps get off the floor imo.
Thanks for update though. The winter drilling in Texas makes some sense.
