So far SPZI hasn't fit in that category. Their first step in the direction of the others is the CEO talking a) outside of a PR to a board poster in a private conversation about b) the fact that SPZI is completing AF's and is going to up list. It's a similar story in pinky land as you know, a story that is often followed by big run ups and then big disappointments. Hope its true but after a few tough lessons, I won't play the stock as if it's true. I'll take my profits when I get them.
Hope that clarifies where I'm coming from...
Ren
PS SPZI being a scam is yet to be determined and SPZI has diluted in their own ways as well over the past year...
See past history on CKYS, SLJB and PBLS for starters.
FWIW, I'm still in SPZI, but it helps I'm on free shares. Hopefully they will be worth something when I sell into the next run and I would still probably buy a dip down to .0045ish on SPZI.
Didn't have the guts to call Rutgers but saw the upset. What a crazy year for college football...
I can see Ohio State, LSU, Kentucky and Oregon losing this weekend in the top 10, and TN, Cal, Kansas and Michigan losing out of the top 25. I think we're up for another big upset weekend. Crazy thing is that many of the lines on these games have the underdog as the favorite. Either way, I don't have the guts anymore this season to pick outright winners. Too many losers so far...

First SPZI red flag (for me anyway)...

I could care less about deadlines given. I've been around pinky land now long enough to know that most deadlines aren't met. What I was calling "credible" was their professional resumes; it's the first place I look for red flags when I start my DD on a stock. These boys have a great, verifiable track record and that's a big deal as most companies in my portfolio can't say the same.
Regardless, I've learned not to believe the "story" whatever it may be until the story is proven fact. Until the story is proven fact, I am here to make money trading stocks. I bought right initially so I can afford to be patient now. Sorry if you didn't buy right the first time. Hope it doesn't effect your decision making abilities if this tests .0045/005 again. Also, I guess it helps that in my short time on this earth I have started 3 businesses. One fell apart on me and was a nightmare (1999 dot com start up). One grew but never became what I thought it would (RE wholesale brokerage). The third is currently paying the bills so the verdict is still out (RE marketing and lending). I've given plenty of projections and deadlines that weren't met, and lost some good folks their money. I've also made a few folks a fair bit of profit off my endeavors. That's the risk of investing in human beings I guess.
Good luck to you. Hope this turns out well for us all. eom.
Mike
It's just continues to be refreshing to find a pink that at least has credible management, with verifiable experience and no red flags in their past history. I could do without the whole "we're going to produce AF's and uplist" thing, but oh well, that's just me based on experience with other stocks.
Wow...speechless. Signing off now after the dirk post. I finally have to admit that my wife is right. This is a soap opera.
Someone send me an email and keep me informed. Watch the upper right corner of the screen ladies and gentlemen for one less membermark.
I'll be around on other boards.
Mike
One thing that has kept me positive over the last month is the quality background of the management team. Based on this gentleman's experience, I'd say that Spooz is a great fit for him and for us.
Can't wait to see the break out above .014...
If ALRY drops below .07 I'll get real interested...
Hey, leave me out of this. I'm just in my head talking to mom who is now calling me an SOB because she got the idea from gunnar though she too fails to see the irony.
Is this off topic? Wait a minute...ANGUILLA! GET IT STRAIGHT FOR ONCE! ;)
Sorry Pnew. I just listen to all the voices in my head. I think that one calling me a jerk sounds like my mother. How Freudian is that...:)
OT - I keep an empty word doc open next to the browser and when I have words that I am unsure of the spelling, I cut and paste in there and check. Call me a perfectionist...
No problem. I should have said please so you would know I'm not trying to be a jerk. I really just didn't get what you were saying.
Ummmm...no comprende? Do me a favor...type slower and try spell check.
I think your theory about folks selling off ALRY to move into HMGP might be in play (that was you wasn't it?). It seems like the same crowd follows both stocks...
The past has also shown that
1) almost all PR's lead to a sell off
Recent behavior though has shown that
1) the sell off comes before the PR if it contains bad news
Only PR that could make this thing go now is AFs, Divy checks, or new management IMO. I don't even think the announcement of a cash divy would make this thing jump b/c no one would believe that they were actually going to send the divy on time.
I hope that the only news we get "soon" is from Preferred holders who have received their divy checks.
Can see it dropping to .07. If it drops below .07, it might test .03 again and I will be there with cash in account...
No prob. Just let me know how I can help. For now though I suggest you start tracking the market with monthly MLS stats for:
1) number of listings
2) average days on the market
3) % of sales price to list price
4) average sales price
Try to get at least 24 months worth of data. Numbers 1 & 2 are more important. Put them in Excel and make a line graph out of them. Use common sense and you will be able to tell where your market is right now. A decent investment minded Realtor can provide you the stats.
Also, maybe contact a REIA close to you (http://www.creonline.com/real-estate-clubs/fl.html) and track down a quality wholesaler. My clients in Jax are picking up great deals. Just got off the phone with one of my regulars who picked up 2 houses at auction on Tuesday for $.60 on the $1. She'll pay cash, I will do a cash out refinance for her immediately. She'll walk away with 2 properties in her name, a 30% equity position after paying all the closing costs, monthly cash flow from rental, and more cash in hand than she put in. Repeat, repeat and you have a portfolio and monthly passive income.
Anyway, don't get me started or I'll go on and on...Real Estate is too much fun for me.
Here's to another good day in HMGP and UTYW...
I make it my mission to at least talk a big game...thanks for the compliment. I'll even thank you some more if we all make some money on HMGP...
Off to play a softball game. Oh, to be young and athletic again...
Nope decided no more PBLS reading for me. Too much drama. I just try to find the right horses and get the message straight from them. I'm out anyway. Do hope it bounces for those that still hold.
Liking the action on UTYW and HMGP today.
I'm in HMGP. A couple of bigger fish I know like it to. Hopefully the last 3 days haven't been an MM fake out.
Try Gold Bond. Works every time. Miracle product I think.
Enjoy the board. No moderator, 19 board marks and last post was 5 days ago. That was one of the reasons I went back and looked at it.
I think that's wise but what do I know. Lots of volume coming in on UTYW though.
Took a small position in UTYW again on Monday and Tuesday as a bottom play. Averaged at .0425. Looks like it might be bouncing...
Just looked at the chart...wow, okay feel free to be ticked. ;)
Thanks for sharing...that's essentially how I'm learning to play 'em thanks to the advice of some big dogs...
Hey, in my book, if I get out with a gain I'm happy. That's better than I do on 90% of my trades at this point.
Coy, if you don't mind me asking...do you ever hold a few "free shares" long term just in case the tooth fairy ends up being legit or do just sell out completely after the move and move on?
Looks like it had similar high volume pulls downs at the end of August and Sept. I'd be cautious.
I've been waiting for more than a month on that one. Ready to go, just not where I want to hit it again quite yet...
I see last sell as 37 with the bid/ask at 37/38 for Scottrade...?
.08 or .03/.04 is the question for me...
Awww..gnats!
Wow, that's...unbelievable that you would say that. Maybe it is believable. Either way, Congrats! You're the first person I have put on iggy in over a year.
Isn't there a silent K in knat? Or is that a silent G?
It's Anguilla. Get it straight bub! ;)
Could be private placements. What exactly are the Hayden's doing out there in the old guest house?
Excuse me Mr. Dog, but are you playing with the tape for HMGP? A lot of suspicious trades happening and such...
That's the Thursday night game right?
Also, another reason why polls don't mean anything except TV ratings...Florida is a 7 point favorite over Kentucky...
