It gets tougher every day because the prospect of news anytime... for sooo long starts to grate on one's nerves.
I know things are happening, I just have never had a company not inform it's investors about anything for such long periods of time
then spring something on you from left field.
I like seeing goals set then checked off. This is like opening a can of coiled springs, things are popping off from everywhere and I keep waiting for them to land. I keep my eyes to the sky, but I don't see anything yet. Guess I won't until it hits me between the eyes.
It sure kinda bites that this company has to drag this stuff out to infinity.
No one here is getting any younger and nothing here is getting any clearer.
Been here as long as Scott, and I am getting fed up with the mystery. I have sat here and watched so many runs...no news....I could be retired now if I would have traded the swings.
I sure hope all my waiting doesn't make me feel foolish for not doing so.
Let's get something into the public...the darkness is getting very irritating again.
IMO SRSR needs to show some completion...of something, anything will help.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Is SRSR a Canadian company?
Pdog.. You get my point. Your post is agreeable to mine.
I just think the wording in the earlier post made it sound like a r/s.... Which as you said it is not. I don't want to debate the subject too much.
I just want people to use the proper terms for what is happening here. The wrong wording causes undue worrying by some. We have one spin out coming.
This we know, the rest we will all learn about when Scott feels the time is right. I am anxious to find out the plans I have been here as long as Scott. And I sure hope he has something wonderful in store for all the good loyal people of SRSR.
So much time an effort by so many and here we stand a the threshold of understanding. I will be very pleased to see all these folks I read everyday, every post, have their dreams relized.
This could be a huge summer. A life changing summer for many. Best of luck to all.
Let's just stick to spin out instead of r/s. Will make thing less intense here.
Gltya
Don't worry yourself about any share structure change.
There has been absolutely no press releases for Nio-star except that they are the holding company for the Nemegosenda property.
That is it, anything else you hear is speculation and not worth worrying about. If you want to analyze share structure, maybe looking into the wonderful prospects of the shining tree 1 for 35 spin out is really worth the time.
All the rest is just not worth thinking about until someone from the company tells us.
IMO
Yes, I am quite aware of what it is. My point is there are so many more that are not aware.
The problem is when you say split, many do.
So it is my suggestion that we don't talk in speculative breakdowns of what Nio-star might do. I am not saying you are doing anything wrong by any means. But did you see the reaction? The words make people nervous and run. If we avoid that talk and keep the share price up, the more value we see down the road from Nio-star.
IMO
If you have ever been on the wrong end of a pink r/s you will know why it matters.
The talk of any split except ST is speculative and should be curbed.
As you can see the minute you say split people get antsy and some will sell. The sellers will not even look at why it is splitting they will just run for the hills.
So anymore random guesses at splits should be met with some scrutiny from the mods here. IMO
I don't know if I have ever seen this board this quiet, for this long.
Strange... Anticipation building?
Gem,
I have been looking through the p's and trying to find the info on the tailing.
If the tailings are unwashed they could start processing as soon as they have boots on the ground.
There could be some pretty low labor ounces of gold laying in the tailing piles just ready to be washed and sold. This could be an really quick way for dollars to start going in the coffers really fast. Do you recall where in the pr's Perry talked about the size of the tailing pile?
You have been all over this thing for sometime now. been here about 3 years myself. I try to stay quiet here, but this is just getting too exciting.
Have a great night!
If we get a PR with those items listed, then I will feel we have made great strides and would be very excited about our progress.
Here to hoping we get a pr that fulfills your outline.
If Scott see's that list he could basically fill in the blanks.
I think Merle better look out.
I am a long and have heard the argument that Scott is the largest shareholder.
I know he is working to improve the shareholder position, but I don't count on Scott being as worried about his portfolio getting battered by a problem with SRSR than I would be.
He is the son of a billionaire I am not. I am hoping that Scott is trying to do something with this company that is not merely driven by the shares he has here. More than money, because he has that I would figure.
Yes, and I think you may have a really good grasp on that. My problem certainly isn't with your interpretations web, they are terrific.
My problem is that you have to make these interpretations that I have issues with. Every stock comes with uncertainty or it wouldn't be speculation that drives a market. No one knows the future.
About twice a year I start to get really down on this company, because of it's lack of openness with it's shareholders.
Every month that passes, I start to feel my slam dunk has turned into a skunk.
You know the feeling when there are young kids in another room playing and it gets too quiet, you just feel they are into something no good? I have nothing to base it on, nor do I have anything to base any optimism on. I have trusted this company with a large sum of my money, I have kept my end of this bargain by not cutting and running as the price has spiraled. I now feel I am entitled to know what they are up to with my money. A very very reasonable request.
Sorry web to keep aiming these at you. Your just a great sounding board, when the company offers little but echos.
Web, I appreciate your levelheaded and well thought out response.
I read your post and marvel at what you can get out of the meager amount of information the company provides.
But, I still feel we as shareholders are offered so little to go by.
I used to have unwavering confidence in Scott, the CTO and the withdraw of the NI has shaken me a bit.
How can we as responsible shareholders ignore the major changes to the foundation of this company without the guidance and inclusion
of the company?
There is a huge difference between informing investors and pumping a stock. The shining tree spinout felt like a pump type PR to me.
No clear timelines, very open ended. Felt more like the stocks I have had in the past that went flop.
I have always felt SRSR has tried to announce pertinent details. I also have felt most of the PR's have been cryptic and poorly written, leaving huge windows for speculation and misunderstanding. I just want a clear picture of SRSR's future soon.
As I am sure many investors currently on the sideline will concur.
GLTYA
I agree PR's for the sake of putting one out is fruitless. I have been here as long as Scott has been.
I am again starting to get frustrated with the lack of clarity.
Why do all of the shareholders have to sit here day after day year after year trying to decipher what is happening with this company?
Web is asking about private placements, great question.
We would like t know Dahlmen's involvement, great question.
We would like to know at least a general time frame for the ST spin-off. Reasonable request.
Would be nice to know why the SRSR niobium property is in NIO-star's portfolio.
Where are the audited fins, that we retained an auditor for?
Why can't we rid ourselves of the CTO in BC?
I can't remember the last time Scott has put his name to a PR.
Does he still run SRSR? (exaggeration).
Each day I sit and ask myself why you have to be a detective to find out anything about this stock?
I am sure I will hear an earful about this, but please consider what I am saying. I would be excited to hear if anyone can give me a fact backed answer to any of these question.
My frustration grows. I am not a basher, just like know what my investment for all these years is doing. This mystery theater is no longer cutting it. I need something to hang my hat on. I have seen more regression than progress. Want to know how this is going to change.
I am done venting for now. My strong confidence in this stock is eroding daily, hope SRSR can turn that around and soon.
Bruce, maybe rare should get together with Rick Berman.
Now that seems to be his kind of stock.
Not something like NBRI
Ok, you have me shaking... I have shares from a penny I am really not too worried. But you sure must have made a bad trade to be spamming for everyone to leave this stock.
I think you are already on fire, short maybe? Bad decision.
I am very confident and comfortable with my investment, and Perry's ability.
Best of luck with your campaign.
Ok, I dont post here much. But your drivel is starting to sound like spam to me. You are only supposed to post the same post once on a message board. if it is such a steamer, please move on so others can enjoy actual stock conversation.
TIA
Drunken sailor here.
I would say they are doing the R/S for the same reason as most do. The are looking to capitalize their expansion. It would be silly to think they are not planning to issue shares. The PR clearly states they are going to sell share for expansion of the business. In other words dilution.
They have made a public statement that they plan to only sell what they need, and restrict those shares.
If they hold to there word and expand and hold dilution in check this could be a very very lucrative investment.
IMO
This PR has been way overdue...But, it was worth the wait.
Congrats to SRSR, it has tied it's wagon to someone who is giving them very solid advice.
There has never been any doubt that Scott is a smart miner, but I am sure glad he has yielded to financial professionals at this time.
This is the most well formed, investor friendly PR ever issued by SRSR. It contains all the components we have been asking for for the last year or so, and written in plain English with words that inspire confidence. We now have a strategy and corporate direction to make one want to start loading the boat.
I think the potential has always been outstanding as I have staked huge amounts of my capital here, but now I feel we are on our way.
IMO
GLTYA, I will go back to lurking.
I understand the fear of dilution, but frankly this is what the stock market is. It is a vehicle for companys to raise operating capital. Done properly with the proper earnings and explainations as to where the funds are being used this stock could fly as well.
Not all dilution is bad dilution, if the business supports the amount of shares being offered and the shares are used to fire growth there should be no fear of the dilution.
If they raise the A/S and not do the R/S, then investors would be eaisily inspired to buy more shares of a growing business, not feel as though they are in the hole right from the start.
I know I am working from a large loss already, a 50:1 split makes me feel getting out of this hole will be 50 times harder.
IMO..
this is perception...and perception runs the pink markets.
Get a reputaion for doing reverse splits and you will inspire fear and uncertainty for a very long time.
Best of luck
Well, That sounds like a great thing. I hope he listens closely to what you have to say.
You may want to make the suggestion for him to raise the A/S instead of an R/S. This will keep the current shareholders in better standing, and not wash them all away.
He must be shown that this stock has little support outside of the many holders here on IHUB. If he washes us all away with an R/S then there will be no one to dilute to.
There is no sound reason to do a R/S on a stock with such a low float. An increase in the A/S would allow for reasonable capital raising while not destroying the current shareholder base.
Very simple. Hope your meeting is successful.
All IMO,
Good luck...show
I agree doberman,
I would much rather have an update on SRSR.
I can careless about spacex. It seems Merle should be spending time letting us know about SRSR's yearly progress, and how next year will be different than the past 3 years.
The silence about this company is getting a little old. Imo
Oh I like this part:
For more information, please contact
British Columbia Securities Commission
Ken Gracey
(604) 899-6577 or (B.C. & Alberta) 1-800-373-6393
Maybe Ken should field a few phone calls today..
It is starting to sound like BC is a bent nose knee cracker who is extorting money from a company that has a CEO with a family name in Canada with deep pockets.
Maybe they have a grudge against the Keevil family from sometime ago? Who knows, but if I was Scott, looks like it would be cheaper to see if Merle has any interest in moving out of BC...lol
What I really feel like needs to be done is to get some information from the company into the shareholders hands so we can find out what is going on here.
Just waiting around, watching the share price bounce around.
With the kind of money this little incident has cost me to this point, I could have bought Merle a home in Palm Springs and be done with BC...
I agree with much of what you said here.
One of the things that drives me nuts reading the message board everyday is, why must every detail of this company be a mystery to be solved or conjectured?
It seems the company is trying to create an aura of being so far above other pinks that communication with the shareholders is considered a pump. I disagree.
So many of the last 2 years "bumps in the road" could have been avoided by clear concise communications. It is not sporting to keep your shareholders in the dark guessing at what is happening here.
The fact that we have people on this board every day trying to figure with their best assumptions what is happening with this company is terrible. I am starting to feel like my 3 years of investment here was a mistake. If Scott feels his shareholders are not worth communicating with then all I can assume is that he is acting as an elitist.
My money doesn't grow on trees, I work hard for it. If this company finds that a few hours writing a PR that lays out what future steps are needed, what the financial impact this latest development will have on us, is too much to ask then I might have to rethink my position here.
3 years of my time and money has been invested here, I want some answers. It is not too much to ask. And I don't want some blunt cryptic, geologic BS. I want a shareholder friendly letter from the man who controls my money to put in plain words why this happened, and how he plans to fix it.
Accountability is the way to fix the damage here, not aloofness and broad cryptic answers.
JMO
It just amazes me that the SEC allows this type of blatant thievery to go on year after year.
The only place Berman should be working is at a prison laundry.
IMO
Clay,
Can we get a chart on NBRI?
Interesting news, it is looking like it is poised to pop.
Happy trading,
Jim
Yeah, I personally don't gamble with what I don't have. Borrowing on margin from a broker is risky business.
I don't think borrowing from someone who controls the outcome is sound business.
I think you have a better chance with a loan shark...lol
IMO
That is true, you can't buy pinks on margin...but if you buy another stock on margin they can liquidate any other stocks you have to pay the margin call.
One of my biggest questions is....has the company started to purchase it's shares back yet? Or is that bit of fun still in our future?
Inquiring minds want to know, lol
Yes, down days such as today's are for accumulation.
Which i feel i got a good price today, but only time will tell.
GLTY
I don't post much because of my busy job, doesn't mean I am not here with plenty of shares.
Well, if you read my post I had put in a bid support order. From that statement one might assume this isn't my first purchase of this stock.
I have been here for quite sometime now. Just not a poster for the most part.
Good, glad to know there are still some of the FLD crowd here,
would be interesting to hear from some of the other, strong hands.
I believe if there is a battle going on to keep hands strong then some show of resolve from other posters posting their positions would go a long way to curbing some fearful investors.
JMO
I just got 255000 shares@ .0035. I was offering some bid support.
Didn't expect it to fill and drop like that.
I am beginning to get concerned about the strength of this FLD.
Starting to feel like a bag holder here. All the ones calling for FLD are now mysteriously no longer posting.
Oh well, maybe some fundamentals will drive the price back up.
GLTA
Well said Kona,
You state nothing but the truth. Maybe I expect too much.
It is what I signed up for, and I too am hoping it works out for everyone.
I continue to harp on it I guess, because it is important to me.
Even a simple narrow scope, lets say we plan to drill this one hole to this depth by this date. Man that would have made me quite excited.
I am not asking for the world here. lol
Have a great day Kona..
TR,
I agree, the PR has some substance in those areas.
We all are pretty aware that this property is a monster.
Now how hard would this be?
1. Updating the resource calculations in the Hawke Zone
(Summer 2010)
2. Further exploration to continue to test the lateral and depth extensionsof the Hawke Zone,
(Fall 2010)....ect..
This is the type of thing that would reset expectations to be reasonable, and let everyone know that an end game is in sight.
Things as they stand are incredibly open ended.
Just my thoughts....I will go back into another 2 year hiding here.lol
