Based on fundamentals, I have 2 bullish bets for the near future: VRTX and VECO...both after ER.
Here is a detailed follow-up of the previous semicircle. We salso have now 2 Gann Fans, which are integrated in the semicircle definition. They are both perfectly legit with a slope=1, for each 1x1 line.
What do they say? They say that the bullish trend is perfectly balanced “technically”. I am not a supporter of the Bernank …but the uptrend looks bullish!
Some people might say that!
The second group is formed by uranium miners. The position taken by the EU on energy is a big factor here. There is a serious conviction that the O administration will also follow the path of broadening the energy investments with a strong emphasis on nuclear power. URRE and URZ are my selected stocks. DNN, URA and FRG could also be considered.
Last week, I liked 2 groups of stocks. The first one is composed of derivatives of treasuries. TNX gave me the best signals on weekly and monthly charts, which, then, could be used for refining an entry point an other ones. TNX has very illiquid options while TBT is great. I talked about this issue in the past and I also showed this $TNX weekly chart. For the TBT/TNX correlation and entry points click above. TMV was also a stellar performer. However, its parabolic up move took him to the top of the octave (8/8 of MM) and now it should rest. All the treasuries fundamentalists think that these moves should go further , undisturbed, but I am cautious. IMHO, a trailing stop for each of them is a good idea.
That is a "bullish Gartley butterfly". When confirmed, it is indicating the beginning of a new uptrend.
Boughtsome NLST @ 2.40. My target = 4.4.
Upgrades should follow.
Let's hope I am right
Happy Chinese New Year!
Sold those SINA calls @ 4.20
SOHU beat estimates! SINA also up in pre-market! Anybody playing those guys. I am long SINA Mar 90 calls (@$3.10)...which gave me a headache over the weekend...I might get out at opening.
I anm in a waiting mode...Looking for continuation. No positions yet...but ready!
Not yet. I played it several times in the past. Now, I am waiting for the metals to establish a base.
PBR Mar 37C @ $1.00
That would be nice. We shall see.
SINA moving higher!
Nice! You got it cheap!
Ksbirddog: Yes, I use the Trade Station platform. Many indicators and strategies are either home-made or adapted from versions present in their library.
I own IWM Feb 78 puts. I also had calls, but got stopped...sigh!Also, I have a small SINA and CIMY calls position.
Hard times!
Hey Buddiee! Nice to have you around! U R such a great presence among us!
What is happening: a SELL algo, initiated yesterday at 15:20 EST, was interrupted “in force” and replaced by a BUY to enhance a “decent marking UP of the futures” for the opening, when they expire. LOL! We’ll see what happens later!
