Uh, is everyone brain dead today?? This is one of the biggest pr's I've seen from reeltime in a long time!! Be able to stream 'LIVE'! Stream HD with no buffering!! As far as they know, "Reeltime is the only company in North America that is currently Beta testing this smooth streaming technology that will enable Reeltime to offer the highest quality content to its viewers."
This PR is HUGE in my opinion. Any one else agree??
Nov. 1st doesn't mean much to me. Regardless of what we see on that date, RLTR still has to execute from that point forward, they need the space to mature, and they need to be blessed with a certain amount of good old fashioned luck to make it. I'm looking out 3 - 4 years. If I'm a millionaire by then because of good foresight to buy what is probably considered by most people to be a lot of shares in a pinky upstart, then that's all that matters. I can wait. I know I'll need to wait. I know something will happen on Nov. 1st, but I also know it's not going to make or break my investment. (wager) I continue to think that I still have a better chance of becoming a miillionaire here with RLTR than buying 2,000 $1.00 state lottery tickets.
Very well said ReelTimer! I've always thought that even though I've got less shares than the people who have 'millions' on this board, that through holding longer I can make as much or more. Those with millions will be tempted (and understandably) to sell some on the way up, and of course most will sell out all way too early (or try and trade it and get whipsawed along the way)as fear and greed do their thing. I'm not immune either, but I made a resolve long ago to do my best to ride this to the top if that's where it's going, as this space matures.
I can finally watch. It works! First thing, the scroll bar needs to be a little larger. I like how quick it reacts and re-buffers.

Site looks nice. Why was this link taken down earlier?
A penny never looked so good. :)
Heck, I'll be throwing hats out the windows to passerby's! Drink in one hand, the other arm around the likes of Pmunch and Desert Man... that is if I can get through the throng of women that want to be as close to pmunch as they can. LOL :)
Mr. Green - Thanks for all you are doing to make Reeltime a success! I appreciate you immensely and look forward to seeing the fruits of your labor when ready.
I was thinking the same thing today FH, and I almost posted. Of course, my post wouldn't have included the awesome pic you found.
Hopefully it's Todd, and my gut tells me it is.
You haven't blown anything until you sell. If this stock makes us a profit someday, then you will look like a genius. If you would have sold, there's no telling if you would have gotten back in. So, I think it's prudent to save the comments till the fat lady sings.
If we all make enough to offset our own perceived losses from 'the cost of money/lost opportunities', then all the better. Most people lose trading penny stocks. Heck, most people lose over time doing any kind of trading. I for one and waiting for the fat lady. This ain't over. I don't care what I end up looking like, cause that's not the reason I trade, but nonetheless, I know I still have a chance of looking like a genius. If we make a lot of money, I can hear the comments now... "How did you know to buy a stock like that?" Of course, the real question that we will all know is "How did you manage to stick with that stock through all the ups and downs and crazy stuff that went on?"
"A while back I suggested to management that they should try to buy out so movie rental/sales independent stores in the greater Seattle area, and use the outlets as a place where to promote Reeltime. Try to buy out a place like Scarecrow Video and make money of the store while using it to promote ReelTime."
That is an excellent idea if our current business model is enough of the same it used to be.
Finally I can watch something! It's working great for me!!
Yes. That's the first one I tried.
Even though I've tried everything for many many months, (including uninstalling grid from grid's site and installing again) I was excited to try it one more time. I was successful at downloading the grid software (connector) at grid's site. I even watched a movie on grid's site. So far, so good. But, back over at reeltime... Just the same old screen that says 'Your media is loading'.
It never finishes loading, and it never plays. Well, back to being patient.
Nothing has worked for probably 8 mos., including support e-mails to reeltime, but I'm a patient son of a gun. I'll try loading from grid and see what happens.
Thanks Florida - Does anyone have the link for the IRDS connector that's talked about in the support area. I can't find the link, and I'm not prompted for it, and my computer doesn't show that it's installed. I don't have any grid stuff installed. I do have windows media player installed though as instructed.
As usual, I just get an error when I try and watch anything...

First 1/5th is on me TK! I'm right there with you!
Do you have a link to the source of this news?
hmmm. I read a recent post that the site was down, tried to go there and it was down, and therefore wrote my last post. Right after posting, I refreshed and the site came up. So, I guess nothing to be excited about. Darn! I thought the site was down!
I'm excited to see the site down, as this gives at least a hope that something is happening behind the scenes. It may mean nothing, it may mean something bad, but hey, it's better than seeing nothing happening and it 'could' mean something good!
Hurry up and lose all hope, because that's probably when we will see an upturn in events and even a little in the share price.
Rhustang probably isn't posting because JG wants to run a real company and told him not to. BH didn't care. Heck, Rhustang posting gave us hope and helped BH be able to unload shares.
I've had that problem for months and months on every title. I don't want to bug Rhustang about it anymore. I always feel they are working on it and they'll get back to me when they have the problem fixed. I'd be renting a couple movies a week and bringing in some revenue if I could just watch a movie!
C'mon Florida, we are all counting on you to buy some more to keep our volume up. Whatcha waitin' for? :)
Wow Dave. Surprising post from you. Give them a chance. Sure, anything in life can be fluff, but odds are after what we've been through this is the real thing. Lighten up just a little and have some fun tonight with the possibilites our investment now has. We all wanted an update as to what's going on, and now it's not good enough because the website hasn't changed?
This industry as Bev pointed out is going through rapid changes and everyone is trying everything. I don't believe we are behind in this space at all. In fact, I believe we are well in the running to become profitable someday.
Thank You Asus! This is great to see!
Although, get ready for someone to say that you did it with photoshop.
Well at the very least in the short term we have a bunch of new fodder to start hashing about and re-hashing. This should keep the board busy for awhile. We reeely needed this. :) This is a new beginning folks! May the games begin!
Very good point. His post just was too out of character with the rest of his posts of late. I knew I smelled something when I read it, but I think you nailed it.
I think RTK just posted what he did to try and get a rise out of management. He knows nothing like the rest of us, other than possibly reeltimer who I'm sure has some good 'birdies' given the fact that he used to work there.
If not to get a rise out of management, then he's just off his meds again. He'll be okay. That sudden post from him was too far 'off' from his recent posts to be anything more than trying to get management to post that things are ok.
I check every few days to see if the error message is done when trying to download the connector after clicking that I want to watch a movie in high quality instead of low bitrate, and the error message is still coming up. I guess that still nobody new that wants to use the site can use it. If you already had the connector installed before the error problem, then I guess you can rent and watch movies. As I've said before, I really, really would like to start renting and watching, but still can't. I would imagine that reeltime would make this a priority as it would get money coming in, but maybe since we don't reely know the business model going forward, this may just not be a priority right now. Oh well, I'd say I'll watch and wait if I could watch, but I guess I'll just wait.
Hey, Obama just said on T.V., "The time is now". I wonder if he's been talking to Barry?
Are you saying SOYO isn't real?? Is that more or less confirmed information by someone?
In detail though, the one time I tried to use a c.card to watch, this is when Todd got back to me and ended up in the end just refunding my money.
The way I test now is to log in and then type 'Trailer' into the search box and try to watch a trailer. I get 'Loading media player', and then after awhile when it's appparent nothing is going to happen, I click on the 'play movie' button, and then it asks me if I want to watch high quality or low bitrate. I click that I want to watch high quality and that's when I get the error message.
I just figured if I get an error message, that everyone is getting it. I have contacted the company a couple times regarding my inability to view movies, and Todd asked me a couple questions. I know they know about the issue(s) and I don't want to bother them any further until they feel they have the time to deal with it. I'm a patient shareholder and customer, but I worry about new people.
All will get fixed in due time. I would just love to be able to be renting movies and sending the company money that way, and ever since the new irds 2.2, I cannot watch. I have a newer super duper computer and have it configured just as they say it needs to be on the site.
I find it odd that nobody seems to care that nobody new can watch a movie on reeltime because of the gridcast download error. Does this not concern anyone?? I know in the big picture it will get fixed, but anyone new coming to our site just leaves figuring we are broken.
the error message I pasted in the post I'm responding to is all anyone gets when trying to download gridcast, so right now nobody new can watch a movie who doesn't already have it downloaded. So nobody new. I hope this is corrected soon.
Well, I removed Gridcast, and now when I go back to watch a trailer it asks me to download the connector, and when I click to download it I get this error message...

Thanks for your suggestion Florida. I removed Gridcast, but didn't see any 'reeltime' software. Is there anything in particular you can think of that might be named something I can look for?
I sure wish I could watch a movie. I would be buying a few a week if I could watch. I don't want to bother Todd anymore about it. I just get 'media loading' and it stays there forever. I have a new computer and have done everything required. Someday...
