On the subject of the wood explorer spinoff... What exactly is that? It just shows in my etrade account that I have some shares of a non-existant entity. I mean, what happens with that... anyone know?
Yes, we haven't seen such a quick recovery on the chart since the announcement of bio... usually it's a big sudden spike and then a month of boredom. So yeah, hopefully this is the new happy medium.
Getting so hard to time these spikes! I kept trying to take a bit off to buy back more when it comes back down but I couldn't time it again this time. At least it came back a bit there at the end. 6.4 mil volume... geez!
For those of you new to the stock... don't get nervous. This is the third one of these that I've gone thru just in this year. :)
Geez, the way this chart is going it should be for Six Flags! heh... I'm back to even (again). Hopefully we won't have to wait another 1-2 months for another run.
So, did anybody else keep some shares, or are we planning to buy back over the next lull?
I was hoping to hit the .03's with this last spike, so I am still all in... guess it's another month or two of waiting.
We'll get back there one day.
Of course you can trust an account with that single post.
If that is acknowledged, then why did my post about sb get deleted?
Sorry for OT Post - POORME ATTN - shoot me an email at d_macks@yahoo.com please.
I got a reply back from the people who take care of Amelot's investor relations, that said this:
Unfortunately, I cannot release any info to you until it is made
public. However, I can tell you to keep your eyes on the news because
They have been very busy and will have a lot to announce soon. Let me
know if I can help you with anything else.
I can understand that it's not unlikely for projects to get behind schedule, but the natives are getting restless here. :)
They say that no news is better than bad news.
Does anybody have anything in the past month? I'm starting to wonder.. I mean, hmm...
Wow... we are really hanging out here to dry. Any news at all would be nice.
Wow... things slowed WAY down Fri. Looks like nobody is willing to bet more on this play. Not sure why they went silent in the past month. Even if there is no 'real' news such as contracts... at least some more of the 'we had a meeting with these people' PR releases?
*chirp chirp chirp* - That's the sounds of crickets in the silence. :) Anyone still around here that lives up that way who has seen the plant lately? I guess an update on the railway being modified would at least be some kind of news for us... even if they are planning to truck it out at first.
Bring us some good news!
It just depends on your perspective on this one. I had just a few shares when AMHD was oil drilling angle. At that time, oil was going up and up, so I thought why not. Then they say 'We're going to make bio-diesel and dropping the drilling thing'. It sent the PPS from a half a cent to 3.5 cents. It waned off a bit until they said 'Seriously, we have a contract for a plant' and then boom.. 3.7 cents. Given in hindsight I would have sold off and bought again here towards another recent bottom, but all they need to say now is 'Ok, we have contracts' and I think we will see an all time high spike. The problem is that oil is back down a LOT now, there are upcoming elections, and the Nashua plant is behind schedule. I think the worst case scenario at this point is that Amelot can't find a way to make money selling their product, so there are no contracts. Then on the other hand, if tomorrow they announce a major contract we're back into the house of pleasure. It's just a matter of time... unfortunately only those on the inside know more about this. That's Pennyland for ya! :)
If this was headed to 0, then we would see it now. But it's holding out because of the long termers who see it as having longer term profits. I feel the same way, even if I would like some kind of update on the current situation with the first plant. I think that any PR release of a contract will have us up to the .035 spikes at least. Not sure if it's 'cookie cutter' after that, but it will be a lot more simplified.
I think this is crunch time for AMHD. The next two weeks will determine if they are really wanting to make this into a viable alt fuel company. Even with gasoline being at one of it's lowest in the past couple of years, they have to come out with some real news to let everyone know they are serious. That's just my opinion. Everybody knows that oil will go back up in the next few months after elections. So, if they have a superior product, they should be able to sell it.
Sorry, I mixed up the 30 mil in proposed revenue - thanks for the correction sb1736.
According to MarcoG, they are a couple of weeks behind. If they are restructuring the pipes and installing the methanol tank, etc.. I really doubt they are producing anything right now. The PR story with that freight line was probably just for testing out the initial batches. They have like 15 trucks in their company? Maybe a small first order, but that won't cover 30 million gallons a year by any means (That would mean them selling B100 to them directly). I'm not going to take on Poorme's stance of going to 0, but it looks like we have at least another week of non-production. Call me crazy, but at the price now I still look at as both a short term and long term buy... even with current gasoline prices. It has spiked to .035 twice now on speculation. I think we can get at least that much when a big deal comes to fruition.
Yeah, first time around never works out as planned. It's all a learning process and having to deal with outside factors can only add to the delays.
Gas prices continue to fall, but that is also a short-term figure to look at.
Ok... so, the HQ should be moved to the Nashua plant along with that needed methanol tank by now. How close are we towards real production and contracts, that is the question. Petro fuels are continually going down recently, but hopefully those looking for a better alternative fuel for the future will keep an open mind.
Just looked this up out of boredom here. This is the tank Amelot energy ordered and should be delivered soon (They said 3 weeks on Aug 29). It would be the 6,000 tank you can see here:
http://www.masstank.com/firegrd.htm
Given that this was to store the Methanol required to make bio... still not sure where the finished product will be stored. It would be nice to have a Q&A with Aziz every once in a while. :)
Those were both previous news stories.

That news story came out on Aug 28.

Guess there was just a delay in getting to other outlets?
What kind of climate did you try it in (temperature is what I'm asking)?
Just some notes from posts today... As far as mixing it 20%, I think that's just the evolutionary step right now with alternate fuels. Nobody wants to take a big leap into the B100 I don't think, BUT that's not particularly a bad thing. I mean, pretty much any thing on the road for mass transport/cargo or heavy machinary is on diesel. And they don't get very good milage to begin with, so that's a lot of fuel to consider. I think there are a few small companies that are producing bio in NH, but nothing on a mass scale. Also, I looked it up and Nashua is only about 45 miles from Boston if you need an even bigger market, and I didn't see any large producers in MA either (looked it up on www.biodiesel.org).
I'm sure it has nothing to do with elections coming up (wink), but gasoline prices will probably stay low for the next few months. (Never thought I'd look at that as a bad thing), but still there are a lot of progressive thinking people/communities who are wanting a cleaner fuel that we don't have to import.
Just some ideas floating around in the noggin... :)
Yeah, I got that email from Kerry Associates also and I emailed the company (actually got a reply back from Barry himself (the prez)). They seem to have things rolling along too, but have been beaten down over the past couple of months (also). Dunno if it's just the selling of the initial move towards alt fuels along with lower gas prices or what.
As we've all said many times... short term movements.
So... gasoline is further down, and probably a slow PR week. Hate to say it, but I'm expecting a slow week for us long termers. Still, an oportunity for those of you who still have some cash. :)
Yeah, another good PR release and... the stock fell back into it's slumber. These pinks seem to be very whimsical don't they? As far as them closing a deal, I think they are just getting to know the market. Letting people know who they are and what they do. I mean, the plant in Nashua doesn't even have all of it's equipment installed yet.
I know that they are waiting on that methanol tank right now, but from what I read, it takes around a 4:1 ratio of finished product:methanol. So, as they are making it, where will it be stored? Or maybe that tank just doesn't need all of the certifications that a methanol tank would? Or maybe just produce it straight into a fuel truck? Just some questions bouncing around in my head.. not sure if you guys have more answers, but I'm just stating that they aren't ready to produce just yet. Also, I would think that mosty city/state contracts would have to be approved by some type of legislation. I think fortunately that AMHD is kind of like Halliburton in this aspect because... there isn't another choice. heh. But still contracts have to get made up and approved and if you've ever dealt with a a beurocracy like fed/state/city you know how long this process can take.
All that said, I still think we are in for good times before long. And I wish I had some cash to buy up in the next week or two.
I'm feeling the same... I mean, I predicted this month would be slow and low (volume), but when you see people dumping such large quantities in these down times, it doesn't really make sense.
Also, I got a email today from Kerry Associates that promoted another company GPRE. I am thoroughly confused at this point. Maybe a buyout of Amelot Energy? This is all very speculative just in my confusion of the situation and has no factual basis.
But yes it seems like positive PR stories are not helping at all. How's the weather in Iraq? :)
Wow... what happened today? I don't understand, I know oil has been going down, but not something to warrant this kind of day even with a good PR news story out. We did rebound a bit at the end, but we were down like 40% there for the most of the day. The kicker is that I have been informed of more hour cuts at my job, so the first thing I would have to sell off are my shares of AMHD if things get bad. And now we are back right in the avg paid price that I picked it up. I might have to change my name to Poorme2. :) Anyone have an idea why it was down so hard?
I read an article from a local news source here recently (I live in the panhandle of FL), and it stated that there are only 3 locations in all of Florida where you could get ethanol from a pump, and the one closest to this location is only for military vehicles. But then I have also read that there will be many vehicles rolling out on the showroom floor that can run on a mix or a total blend of ethanol. So, yes, I think there is definately a market opening up there soon.
Nice information on diesel, thanks. Unfortunately gasoline is dropping towards the $2.50 range and with AMHD in a transitional period, I don't see many people investing in alternative fuels in the short term. I hope that I am wrong, but it would be nice to hold the .025 PPS ground.
I'm thinking the same way... there won't be much news in the next couple of weeks, and just by the nature of this kind of stock... it will be similar to what we saw today. Low volumes and lower PPS. I wish that I could pick up more like you guys in this process, but I'm tanked on cash for the season. :)
A month from now it could be a totally different story... they get all of their equipment in place and ready to produce and maybe score a contract or two. Even if you compare the total outstanding shares of AMHD to Nova... it would put AMHD at around .04 That would be a nice start.
We have to wait for Aziz to give us tha money makin disease.
It is in fact funny to watch that when I spent many years in Mississippi and found out just how 'backwards' that state is just because of the poverty. And how that state could be making a change against the stubborn relucance towards a new way of looking at the fuels we use in this country. We have to accept it, sure it may be a bumpy ride at first, but we can't let this progressive country fall behind countries like Brazil and rely on big oil corps and potentially terrorist conflicts from those oil producing countries.
I think it's like the Field of Dreams quote of "If you build it, they will come". Hopefully Aziz will get us going in building it in the north-east. From what I have read, it is coming.
So.. if this is a scam, why would they stop all of their attention towards other interests and relocate themselves to a plant that was leased in a relatively lower priced facility in the north-east where the demand for bio-diesel is going to be booming soon and lay out extensive plans to produce the fuel with contracts to create a plant that could make the fuel that is going to be in demand coming up soon. I'm not totally convinced that this will be a short term gainer, but you will have to expand more on how this is a 'scam' to convince me otherwise. We have the whole extended weekend for discussion. :)
So, with the news of the HQ being moved to the Nashua plant there was this bit of info:
"A majority of the work is expected to be completed prior to the arrival of the recently ordered tank"
And in the news of the tank being ordered:
"Delivery of the tank is expected in 3 weeks"
Could make for a dull September! BUT, dull times can be good for those who want to 'back up the truck' to load up a bit more.
poorme - This is what I was asking about:
---------------------------------------
Amelot Holdings, Inc. is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, The Wood Explorer, Inc., will be spun off to the share holders of Amelot Holdings, Inc.
The record date for the spin off will be the close of business July 31, 2006. The terms of the spin off are as follows: All stockholders of record will receive, pro-rata, a stock dividend of one share of The Wood Explorer, Inc. for every five-thousand shares of Amelot Holdings, Inc. held on the record date (no fractional shares will be issued). The restricted shares in the spin-off subsidiary will be distributed to the shareholders of Amelot Holdings thirty days after the record date.
----------------------------------------
It's probably not very significant (at the recorded date I would have pulled in a whole 50 shares in this spin-off), but I'm just not sure exactly what 50 shares I am getting? That was my question... As I said, nothing big, I just wondered if someone here knew more about this.
The Wood Explorer dividend shares
So, us long termers are supposed to get a 5000/1 share of this... is it another pink sheets stock or what?
Thanks for the info guys... I was just asking your opinions because I am also new to the field of biodiesel, and it's hard to get REAL information on the internet and it is also difficult sometimes to know how dated that information is. I also think that most distributors won't put out much of anything that is a stronger mix of B20 just so they can be safe at this point in time. It really doesn't matter, I think the only thing that does ultimately matter is if Amelot can find buyers and find a way to get the fuel to them. The PR release today at least showed they did find at least one buyer (and a way to distribute to them). That's a start! Now if we can shake off these day traders for a few weeks then we can all be in business. I guess that's a lot to ask from a pink sheet. :)
That brings up another question... from what I have read up on B100, it doesn't do so well in cold temperatures. You would think they could just throw in some additives to deal with that? But with winter coming along, I'm thinking that the pure biodiesel produced by amelot would have to still be mixed into a 20% combination (B20) before it is commercially available?
Has anyone done more research or read up more lately on this?
