Ted, Cramer was bad mouthing all your favorites today, BQI, KRY, SIRI.......that probably means they'll take off in the next few days, lol.
bb= 1.1 & zetia
I somewhat agree with the go away and short business. I sold a whole lot of the CNBC port. yesterday and am mightly glad too. My best guess for shorting is the oil serv stocks that have made a big run or maybe RIG which hasn't kept up on the big run. Those that I'm aware of that haven't been bought out are: KWK, ACGY & OII. Wish I would have thought of that sooner.
I was thinking maybe we should delve in selling calls on the PARL, specifically the $7.50, as I'd be tickeled to get rid of some shares at that price + the premium right now.
Hope you guys are out having a good time somewhere.
As I predicted yesterday (on Parl's MB), they got another downgrade today. I think this is just getting too greedy, keep folks on the sideline, and next week they'll forget all about PARL. I know you're anxious to get out and on to new picks, but I believe the fun will start pretty soon, probably May when everyone goes away. They haven't done anything (yet) to kill the chart.
BB= 1992, $1.29B & 3.1B
Yeah those bastards sure do know how to have fun at everyone else's expense. This is designed to keep folks on the side lines from jumping in now that they are no longer in danger of being delisted.
I suppose they can tell any story they want as most investors don't bother to read: "Net income for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2006, rose to $17.9 million, or 98 cents a share, from $6.0 million, or 28 cents a share, last year." or "Analysts' consensus earnings view was 13 cents a share". This should be soaring right now, if not for the gazillion technical trades after the close Friday. I watched the T&S, for the first half hour, thousands of shares were trading @ $6+. Then the decline. I'm convinced they were selling back and forth between their own accts to get the price down.
Of course, who can blame them for thinking all PARL investors are imbeciles, all you have to do is read the message board and you'll be of the same opinion.
I'm hanging on, but then I only have a few thouand shares. I've been in worse jams. Hell AEOS went from $21 down to $13 and I survived with only a few homicidal thoughts.
IOTN looks fine today.
A gain of $22 in 3 weeks is not gonna hold, the question is how low will it go? Down to $14? Hardly anything goes straigt down without serious bad news, there is bound to be a pop soon, and then all the shorters will feel safe and pile on (myself included). All the folks who didn't sell at $25 will exit and it might go well below $14, say down to $5. It is pretty funny that Cramer said "don't buy" 'til it hit $24 and then endorsed DNDN, fans missed all the gain if they listened to him and bought at the top.
CMGI, NTRI & IMCL....how much longer are they going to run?
Too bad about DNDN, probably can't get every trade right. I sold AMLN Fri., tell me if you've ever seen a stock launch from a similiar double top?
Good luck to you, I'd like nothing better than a BIG spike with maybe another head-and-shoulders chart. Gosh, that would be great!
Dick,thanks for the tip, I did decide to do a teeny short, just because it's Friday, and we know how that always ends up, + I don't see a smooth path to holding $50.25 next week, and they may even knock out the $47.5 calls too. I think Toni should take some profit also, hope she did.
Ted, keep your eyes on MWY, I think it is in a definite breakout. It's #39 or so on the list I sent.
What a dare-devil you are! I'd rather take my chances on shorting MRK or getting another cup of coffee.
I have't had the nerve to short DNDN the past few days, too bad, cause it would have been nice.
MRK looking strong, glad I didn't short it. Maybe next week when options expire, the call writers are going to have to take it down to save their necks.
Amazing that we both dumped coffee on our carpet today, I haven't done that in years.
I was looking at MRK, wondering if it would be a good quick short. What do you think, will it hold onto its gain? go up more?
BB= Nipon airlines & Sally Mae
Started the morning spilling an entire cup of coffee. Let's hope this Friday gets better from here.
Pulled the trigger on ONNN.
BB=78 stories & $5.5M
Maybe today won't be a Friday. That DNDN is all over, Ted, let me know when you short it again, you're better than me on daytrading.
I've mastered selling too early on the advise of idiots as well as buying too early, ready to move onto other more productive lessons and new idiots.
Lousy day. CNBC portfolio down $16K, yesterday I sold IMCL & OII, 2 of the few that were up today. Too chicken to short DNDN again. RIG a Cramer pick down $1.77.
How many Fridays is this week gonna have?
Does me no good, I sold the other day @ 31.65 on that Cramer guy's advise. I should know better!
Ahaa, back to your old KEYW trading stradegy again
Ted, don't you have a class to go to?
Dick, isn't it time for your nap?
Why the heck is GE up today? Is it turning into a contrarian stock? It has been drifting out to sea during the run-up, now it is up?
Sold OII yesterday after a big gain, today it is the only ^OIX stock up, who would have guessed?
I looked at the May PARL calls on Scottrade, did you notice that they have NEVER been traded. I think you could be right, someone is offering to sell, but they're the only ones that will make $ on the trade. It will be something like KEYW the last 6 months, those with a large block of stock will sell calls, pocket the cash, then sell enough stock at option expiration to drive down the price and make them worthless. IMO buying options on stocks worth less than $10 is a sucker's bet.
Looks like DNDN needs a rest, I want a spike up before I short again. ONNN is going up again, if I want to short something today, that is where I'll go, if it would bang its head at $9.94, I'm in.
The options are crazy, I read an article to that efect. Sorry I covered yesterday pm. Now I have to wait for a little bounce before going back for desert, short is the only choice on this one.
BB=euro & 17000
Hanging around watching also, could cover for +.8/sh, holding out for $1/sh, but will cover by the end of the day.
Just covered.
You short dndn again yet? I'm in for the 3rd time, we could do this for months, fun, fun, fun!
I think it is pretty safe to short DNDN now, as long as you're patient and don't over do it.
BB= .5%, $600M
I didn't even think to look for that cash, you're on the ball Dick.
Oh, I didn't buy puts, just shorted shares, covered already too, +$/sh. After looking at trades for taxes, I'm can see that options, as a rule, did more harm than good.
Common sense says to short here. The prediction for DNDN did not show anywhere near the gain that it has seen, and the future looks dim also, so make your own decision. I just shorted it.
Yup some of them are.

I delighted to call attention to the fact that Cramer was wrong about NVDA last week, hee, hee. Contest portfolios up nicely.
Sadly, BQI & DNDN did not meet my very loose investment criteria for real money and I could see no benefit to adding them to the contest portfolio. How can I beat the stuffings out of you with the same stocks?
RE: escrow. Have you tried the "taking the house away" technique?
Ted, I hope you're feeling better today, BQI finally going the right way for you, and IOTN & PARL are behaving today too.
BB=4/22 & 185
Those guys are pros, alright, and those jerks on the message board keep up stream that the world will end if it gets delisted. I think that is funny, the biggest problem I had when stocks are delisted is changing all the tickers. All the ones I've had that were delisted (askj, tasr, merq and some others I can't recall right now) went ahead and did fine for me.
I notice that the volume is fine right now, most of the trades are at ask, not bid. The chart looks bad, I'm sure that most of the weak hands are out after that last dissapointment. Knowing Wedbush like I do, I think they'll start the run-up on Thurs pm, when everyone has left for the holiday and by Mon the train will have left the station, but I could be wrong.
Why don't you try to think of something better, maybe rent "the secret", the girls would enjoy that too, I'll bet.
You sound like you could appreciate some help....BB answers: 31& and 6.25%
Hold him down, I'll help with the duct tape, lets start with the mouth.
Gosh, sorry to hear that, you need the BB answers?
The market seems to do better when Ted gets out of the house, maybe we should sign him up for a few more classes.
"Off to class; TTFN" Wait just a minute, pal, where's the BB answers? And what in the hect does TTFN mean? And you are right, I did inch ahead:

Good going Ted. Wonder if Kevin was surprised. Hope he has a big mouth and it starts a rash of insider buying. I don't feel like letting those illiterates on the Yahoo message board know, doubt they'll find out on their own.
BTW, in the book, the gun works well, stuns or kills the bad guys several times depending on the setting.
