Ran the MRIL in Nigeria one of the first runs ever made circa 2000 or so...if you have any metal filings in the well it will find those also...lol...Halliburton called it MRIL initially or Magnetic Resonance Imaging Log....
Look closer at the reservoir map...
You will not be able to purchase OTC stocks with it though until it clears in 3-4 days...
Exactly....
I’m here almost everyday, but I have to drill oil wells in between visits...on a challenging project so it keeps me a bit busier than normal...
That means the additional prospective reservoirs are also capable of holding an additional estimated 645 million barrels of oil, so basically 645 million X 2 = 1.29 billion barrels...Merlin-1...
They can both produce from it.... Willow is “anticipated to have a peak production of 130,000 barrels of oil per day over its 30-year life - producing approximately 590 million barrels of oil - and would help offset declines in production from the North Slope oil fields and contribute to the local, state and national economies,” the agency said.
ConocoPhillips recently upped its estimated ultimate recovery from Willow to 800 million barrels.
It would mean the reservoir is up to 10 times larger than originally estimated...over 1 billion barrels minimally...moon shot for sure...
It means they will combine the data as a whole for reservoir size, oil saturation (volume), oil grade, permeability and estimated productivity...it will not be completely accurate, but will give a very educated rendition of what the reservoir(s) map and structure will look like within the limitations of the data from LWD (logging while drilling), wireline log data, and original 2D seismic survey....what will be MOST interesting is SIZE...if reservoir is connected to ConocoPhillips Willow Field...BOOM...for sure, going to be a very tense wait...
Agreed could be a big game changer...

AABB are purchasing this Los Reyes Vein/Mine it seems:
Couldn't figure the coordinates out very well, but finally understood those coordinates are for a large area not a pinpointed location
See page 13, 25, 35, 36
Page 13 shows coordinates that contain AABB coordinates and proximity to Navidad, Jalisco, Mascota region...
Page 25 shows 3.35 g/t gold Los Reyes Mine
Page 35 shows the Los Reyes Vein location
Page 36 mentions High Grade Gold

Shares either paid Drilling Contractor - MWD-LWD Company - Logging Company...any one of these could have cost $1,000,000 USD...I'm gonna guess the Drilling Contractor, seems expensive for 27 days work...but they probably also provided logistics and transportation as well for 88E...All American the Drilling Contractor that is...just seems expensive for a Land Rig/Workover Rig, but it is North Slope and rig is winterized...
If the drilling rig and equipment gets stuck out on the tundra for the whole spring/summer/fall 88 Energy would have to pay standby rate each day...would cost them millions...all drilling contracts have standby rates and FOB’s ...that means they are under contract from when they leave the drilling contractors base until they return to base...if the rig or equipment doesn’t return to base the the standby day rate is applicable until it does return....
I an excellent point...
Still there are a few more variables, but valid estimates can be made...they will probably not give us ALL the info we need, but hopefully...and yes they will remap reservoir and already are I am sure, that might take a bit more time and analysis....
The size of the core is the key, there are some variables but the lab will determine that from experience and science...
Each core can determine many things:
They are a given size so oil/water contents of core can be determined (saturation) using the saturation of oil they can estimate how much oil per cubic foot that formation holds - this can be used to easily calculate reservoir volume, but a few other items required:
The Porosity will be used (Porous or Sponge) = OPEN pore spaces in the formation (I use that they are different types) which tells the volume each given size core sample holds
The permeability which is determined by how well the pores are connected and the size of these areas as well for oil to flow through
They can then determine an estimate reservoir volume and flow rate
They will have to give firm estimates on the volume in the reservoir before any calculations as to what 88E share will be...the Sidewall Cores will have to be utilized for these estimates...then a fair assessment can be made of the reservoir volume firstly....
No sir many OTC stocks are red...have over 30 on my Watch list and all red except two...haven't seen that in quite sometime...maybe I need a new watchlist? Huh?
Rest of the market is dropping like a rock as well...somebody is worried somewhere...OTC is taking huge losses and April should be best month?
Good question, Conoco would only by the oil in the ground from my perspective, much easier cleaner deal without taking on all the baggage 88E is carrying and dealing internationally with lawyers and legalities, transfer of the lease rights and proven oil in ground would be more beneficial for both parties...and definitely bump 88E stock nicely...in other words/thoughts, Conoco already has enough challenges without buying 88E, they just need the additional oil to add to their portfolio....
Wow!
Expected to be released in the coming days...
"The cores have been sent to a lab for further analysis, and results are expected to be released in the coming days, the company said."

All dependent upon the Sidewall Core Sample saturations and permeability...totally, as far as I am concerned...if more than 70% oil + 13% Porosity w/ over 10 millidarcies of Permeability minimum...BOOM....this is light oil from all indications, so the porosity doesn't have to be optimal for the lighter grade oil (40 API or more) to flow through it at a higher rate like heavy oil (35 API or less) would...of course the higher the oil saturation and the lower the water saturation the better, also the higher the porosity the better that just means more open space in the formation to store more oil which equates to more reservoir volume...so there are some variables involved, but the sidewall cores will tell the story...this is an excellent slide presentation that can help many of you understand what I wrote, I know some of this looks a bit more overwhelming than it really is...it is actually simple physics of the reservoir itself...$3-4 lower end...$5-7 with optimal results per barrel in the ground
http://pages.geo.wvu.edu/~jtoro/Petroleum/13_Reservoirs1.pdf
The sidewall cores contain very telling significant data that valid estimations can determined of flow rate, pressure, and volume....
The oil vs water saturation will be very telling....the porosity and permeability more telling...quality of sand very telling...with the formation pressure they recorded and the TVD (depth) of the reservoir(s) they can give fairly accurate estimates of productivity...
Completely agree, was truly hoping they would fast track the results, it seems that’s what they are planning...maybe they split the sidewall cores between two labs, they really need double confirmation for potential buyers of the oil in ground...they can’t afford to botch this up they need quality results and confirmation from reputable labs as well...you can fast track Anything in this business, all it requires is money...maybe that’s what $27,500 was issued for?
Where Emerald LLC came from:
https://smallcaps.com.au/xcd-energy-pegs-more-alaskan-ground-ahead-maiden-oil-resource/
IF the percentage of oil/saturation in the sidewall cores is better than Charlie-1 and the water content is lower, BIG discovery...this will be pins and needles waiting on these results...also of course they need to confirm mobility or permeability (the ability for oil to flow thru' the pore spaces)....so anything close to Charlie-1 will be stellar, should see a good pps response as well...with adequate publicity...
Nanushuk Formation has been highly upgraded: Oil is not the question....
https://dog.dnr.alaska.gov/Documents/ResourceEvaluation/20180521_DiscovThinking_Decker.pdf
No sir, will be VERY interesting to see the saturation percentage in the Sidewall Core sample info that is forthcoming....
All gain, huge jump in data for the Nanushuk Reservoir in that area, I would like to know where they saw the other two prospective reservoirs above HRZ (Highly Radioactive Zone) or below HRZ...that is HUGE info right there, killing me not to be able to see the logs and formation data....
They didn't have that kind of money...the delays, and etc took their funding quickly...they could have easily drilled both wells Merlin-1 and Harrier-1 for 14MM....
No sir never have, only worked land once in Louisiana...al my experience is offshore...
