What's the trading fee like for fidelity now? I have fidelity too but I haven't traded anything in there in a very long time. lol
Back when I opened it they had trading fees 2x the cost of etrade or ameritrade. Different investment strategy for each account.
Oh holding's been my plan all along but I ended up selling the other half yesterday cuz volume started dying down quicker than I expected.
Thought maybe I could buy back at a slightly cheaper price. However, it kept going higher til it hit $10 so I never got to buy it back.
looking to buy this back soon... hope it drops a bit more. lol
Smells a bit like a pump and dump... They pump out some analyst report and then someone dumped big.
$LJPC what a sad drop... Glad I sold when I could even though I missed out on another 30%-35% gain this morning.
RGDX e-trade won't let me buy this after hours for 'opening orders'. lol interesting
I'm sure other traders here probably know more about this than I do, but sometimes there are good reasons for holding on long term: For some of these stocks the future potentials are so darn good they are difficult to ignore. The trick though, is to find the right entry point and not buy blindly when its (temporarily) too high. I look at the indicators and if it's deteriorating after it popped 10,20,30,40% or so, I take profit quickly & sometimes buy back to hold long term. The 3, 5, 15, 30 minute chart shows what's going on in more detail. Dying volume, macd going south, losing relative strength, etc...
DARA was a good chart set up when I bought em a couple days ago. At the time, when I was thinking of buying, it had come back down sufficiently to a point safe enough to bet that it wasn't going drop too much south from there. I took an approx 40% profit on the recent jump and now just watching for another good entry to hold long term. As I understand it, DARA is gonna be playing monopoly soon with its drug.
As for LJPC, I got in on Sheff's alert held for a few weeks. Sold afterhours for approx 20% gain when it jumped after that analyst report came out. I think it's coming close to a reentry point. Baker brothers being in it is one reason to hold, among others.
Another great chart setup seems to be ADMP, thanks for Bob bringing it to our attention. This particular pattern trading in a very tight narrow range has high profit potential. It can also dive down just as fast. However, a sustained and relatively quick northward move in price is more likely since rest of the fundamentals/DD check out.
CHTP I did an options strangle, I was pretty sure it was going to get an approval but also didn't want to get caught in the 14% probability of rejection. Bought both calls and puts so the only way to lose money was if the stock stayed in the same range after PDUFA. I'm looking to buy the stock itself soon, not options, and hold this for a few weeks.
$LJPC sold half my position $9.07. Holding the rest through event.
dude... this had a reverse split. get a clue :)
$LJPC looks like an analyst report came out that set a $27 target with outperform rating. No trading halt which tells me no significant material news is pending AH
some of that could be me trying to grab cheap shares as well? lol
$DARA I'm now smiling at our posts from a few days ago when we were joking about DARA "might possibly be somewhat a good idea" and what not. hahaha I think I sold waaaaaaay too early though.
$DARA $3.85 after hours, up even more since my $3.50 sale. Stupid me, I wasn't thinking about the PR and just got trigger happy. lol It's become ingrained in me to take profit cuz every time I don't sell, I seem to get my a%% handed to me.
no doubt this will run. have paychents, daniel-san
$DARA sold at $3.5 for approx 40% gain. Turned out to be a very good trade, glad I added the other day. WEEEEEEEE

I thought you guys were referring to Central Intelligence Agency... and was gonna say "Don't you guys keep that stuff a secret and have decoy job descriptions?" lol
$ADMP Troll, agreed the dip created a nice buying opportunity. Got about $9k more today for total $27k so far. Probably getting more tomorrow if it's a red day
They work at restaurants, or have their own food channel..
Just taking profit is all. Nothing wrong with locking in gains and getting back in later. I still got some.
Very true. "Trade em don't marry em."
my guess is just as good as yours lol. just a guess.
but considering the institutions who dumped so much money in this, could be worth the gamble and holding through data
Pos hardly moved lol
Dara I got some. And added
$CHTP A lot of people sold on news but at least it did better than VNDA on approval news. ;)
I'm still in. I like the potential here.
well, FEB $5 open interest is 36,783 lol
Are you claiming to have clairvoyant abilities? Are you a psychic?
You wouldn't have known that for sure, unless you had insider info which would then be illegal to tout, so maybe we can chill with the 'I told you so' posts.
$CHTP Yup and 86% of the time FDA approves on positive adcom, according to a study. I still hedged the trade though, never know if I'll get unlucky and be in that other side of 14%. lol
conference call also most likely coming
I'd take SOME profit whenever I can... maybe sell in multiple chunks?
You may miss out on some higher move if there is one, but you really can't go wrong locking in profits. Minimizes the risk.
Some folks think that we may get another PR tomorrow from the company touting their latest approval & what the future holds, but who knows.
Yeah Analysts always back paddle with their upgrades and downgrades. lol
I've seen so many cases where they downgrade a stock AFTER it dropped 40%-70% during which time traders are scooping up dirt cheap shares as the stock hit technical bottoms. lol
However, I believe in this case it's a well deserved & appropriate upgrade. Better for us anyway.
Yeah, assuming the bid holds tomorrow, I'm banking at least $15k
Or Hit the gent-clubs and celebrate with a buddy lol
no label restrictions?
