Spence- Thanks for all your work. IMO I would delete all posts after a certain amount of time, ie. 6 months, unless they are facts that are a valid time line for the company.
Just a thought.
Merry Christmas
Thank you for clarifying that.
I wasn't aware of your surgery Ward, but I am glad you are recovering well.
Ward- Hang on. I think my comments were misinterpreted. All I did was make a comment about spell check, which was deleted, and then I responded to another post. In that post I said it was not a big deal to me, but we have been dealing with very unprofessional people to this point and this was not the best way to start with a new one.
I am hoping that Lynx can help us out and I am planning on visiting them in a couple of months if possible.
gtell- Yes, and I said it was not a big deal to me. This all started because I made a comment about spell check? Wow sensitive board. I actually send e-mails once a month to about 1400 clients and I make sure to double and triple check evey word, but that is just me.
Here on this board we are just chatting so mistakes are made all of the time, but to Lynx it is business.
When you are allegedly the PR firm for the company, then you should be very careful with the words you choose and how you spell them, regardless of the forum.
I do not think it is a big deal, but it does not reflect well on the professionalism of the company especially since we have been dealing with very unprofessional people to this point.
Thanks - Merry Christmas eom
Thanks Spence- Do we have an address for Lynx? I may be in San Diego in a couple of months and would like to be able to see the office.
You had me right up until the "lay off the Capt. Morgan Rum" Please, take anything but the Rum!
gtell66- Are you referring to the four buyback announcements?
If so, I am only familiar with the 2006 one. I do not recall ever hearing how many shares were ever bought back. It only said "up to".
You were not alone. I bought into the hope as well. If all of us who believed Frank and Co. stood side by side, the people at each end of the line would need a long distance phone plan to talk to each other.
Wait 'til next year? I was here last year when people said the same thing. 2006 was going to be the year Frank came through. Many people here loved Frank, defended his business plan and thought he would take us off the pinks and sign large contracts.
Fast forward to today. Hmmm... Same hopes, different CEO.
This is beginning to sound an awful lot like "Cub Fan"
"Wait 'til next year gang, we will win the pennant"
I said it before, "Reality Sucks, but it is what it is". I am in this with all of you, but I am not buying anything that has to do with potential anymore. We are a 35 year old rookie pitcher playing for the Devil Rays and there is no hope of winning the pennant. I would be happy with playing .500 ball and turning a profit. IMHO
I really do have a positive outlook on life in general, but I threw away my rose colored glasses.
I here ya, Ward. Oh well. Hey, It's Christmas time and the family is happy and healthy so I am not letting anything get me down. Too many other things more important.
Hope all is well on your end.
I hope EVERYONE on this board has a great holiday.
That is the rumor. eom
"Getting out while you are ahead"? WOW, you are my hero. I never thought I would here that on this board. Can't blame you for selling, if you do.
Hi who- Just got home. My take is that this is truly a full-service consulting company that is responsible for increasing every facet of our marketing which includes; branding the product, name recognition, sales (both commercial and individual), as well as investors in the conventional sense.
Remember - "Investors" can mean more than people who buy stock. Investors can range from businesses who carry the product, people who buy the product and stock investors. The word comprehensive tells me that HISS is looking for Lynx to use a broad brush and create new markets.
The word "outreach" is just another way of saying advertising.
"Marketing of Homeland Integrated Security Systems AND its products". This again goes back to name recognition. They are going to market HISS as a company, not just products.
All of this is very positive if they come through and do a good job. We will have to wait and see.
Now, I may have just way over-analyzed the statements, but in my marketing experience that is the way it breaks down. Keep in mind that these are probably Lynx's words in the announcement and consulting firms are usually very careful about how they say things.
I have not had a chance to look up Lynx as a company or review all the recent posts today so we will see how far off I am.
OT: Serenity Now..... Seinfeld eom
saturn- good to hear from you and I agree with your evaluation. Reality sucks sometimes, but it is what it is.
That is why I firmly believe we need to find a way to market this this aggressively, NOW. We are running out of time. Every time we hear of a new GPS unit or tracking device of any kind, it dilutes our position relative to the public interest. Meaning that we may be different and better, but if the public and CEOs don't perceive it that way, then we will never sign any large contracts.
Example: The first few energy drinks on the market had an easier time selling product because it was new and the only thing out there. NOW, you might be better than Red Bull, but unless you can distinguish yourself through marketing, no one will listen because there are hundreds of products out there.
The best products don't always succeed. Timing is critical.
OT: Welcome Capt. or is it General now?
OT: Leave Capt. alone? That is the last thing he wants. I for one am waiting for his return and glad he is out, but the moment we stop ribbing him is the moment he thinks we don't care. It is only my guess, but I think he enjoys it and knows we are happy he is out. Kind of like when you were a kid, the harder a girl hit you, the more she liked you.
We tease because we care
You mean like Otis from The Andy Griffith Show?
ROTFLMAO - Priceless - Can we afford a sign?
No clue. I like Marketing Group at the end. LOL
RoadieWhoPutts - Ad Agency
We should get a group of investors who are experienced in the Advertising/Marketing field and go to work for HISS. Our pay would be the increased PPS. LOL
Or we could stage a "Gumball Rally" type race with a CT in every car and give the cops the tracking info one hour after the start. Watch all the news stations pick it up and run clips of people getting busted. Then you get bet-us.com to start taking wagers on who will get the farthest from New York to LA.
who - How about a REALITY show where someone tries to elude the authorities each week with one of these strapped on his body? Give him one week to hide anywhere in the world and then a team of agents has one day to track him down and cuff him. On the day of the tracking, he can move within a certain radius (example 50 miles) and he is not allowed to break the law by speeding, etc...
Agreed. Basic operating expenses are #1. Marketing #2?
We are on the same page I think. Have a great weekend
Roadie - your point is well taken, but this is global and at some point HISS needs to find a way to get into the right advertising sector. Word of mouth and phone calls are fine if you are local or regional and have a limited supply to sell.
We have unlimited potential, but the window will close and lock if we do not make a move. There are sooo many markets we have not even thought of and if we can get our product seen and promoted in every country, then we may hit the one contract that launches us forward.
My point is that we must put advertising/marketing near the top of our priority list. Every day that goes by our product becomes less unique and we risk being closed down by a large corporation who imitates us and blows us out of the water because they have the finances to do it.
Advertising, if done properly, is an investment not an expense. I think we should be hiring an advertising company to promote and find leads. Their pay would largely be based on finding significant leads and then it would be up to us to close the sale.
I was having a great day until you brought up that rally monkey.
The rally monkey reminds me of the 2002 World Series.
I have been a Giant fan for over 30 years.
My In-Laws are huge Angels fans.
Enough said, I think I am going to be sick.
Gotta go to work. C-Ya
Question - I just received a couple cases of cider and it tastes different. The can is black, but different, and the girl is in a different pose than before.
Anyone know what changed?
It still shows the exact same ingredients but it seems to have less carbonation or something.
TIA
I hope you are right and I look forward to it happening.
Sorry if I sounded like I was doubting your sincerity. It is the stock I am suspect about.
Have a great week
The next resistance point is .0023 because that is what we will open with tomorrow. I am not being pessimistic or sarcastic, but that is the reality of this stock right now. I am hoping for big things and I have enjoyed the last couple of days, but stay in the real world with me here. We are all still rolling the dice and there are plenty of twos, threes, and twelves that might come up.
Sorry Spence, I am not trying to be a killjoy, just cautiously optimistic.
Well done. You definitely got people's attention.
If we get close to .003, I will look for that $3.00 buy. LOL
Have a great holiday season and I hope your store does well. Remember, deep slow breaths when someone comes in on 12/24 and gets pissed because you are out of something.
Good morning Spence. How about we all take every person on our x-mas list and buy them ten bucks worth of HISC? LOL
I remember getting lottery tickets all the time and people thought that was cool.
I agree, the sooner the better, obviously. It is amazing how many people on this and other boards immediately dislike and trash people because they don't agree with them. I have learned to take a step back and think before reacting to anyone. Heck, debating is the best way to learn something.
Besides, if I hated everyone who did not agree with me..... well you can probably guess how that line ends.
The respect goes both ways and even though our trip to the Bahamas is going to have to be put off a little longer, I am still looking forward to one or two or ten drinks together when we celebrate.
Can you imagine you, me, Spence, Lacy, RCP, Saturn, Jersey, catty, Chucker, and yes, mikeisme if he wants to, along with everyone I failed to mention sitting down on the beach with a case (or ten) of rum and a full moon? WOW, that would be priceless.
Someday CRAMER is going to say, "Trust me HISC is a Buy, Buy, Buy, at only $8.00 per share", and we will be laughing our as*!# off. Oh well back to reality.
Have a great week and lets hope to get back to that nickel first.
Just think Capt. it was only a year ago and you were calling me Droneputtz. HISC was at about .05.
Now - I am da man? And HISC is at .0017.
Ahh, the good old days. LOL
Think we can get back to a nickel within a year? I will gladly go back to being Droneputtz if that is what it takes.
Droneputtz + Large contracts + Share buyback/retirement = .05
I guess I missed some action on the board earlier. I realize that I do not provide as much DD as many of the posters here and I have never been accused of being a pumper.
I am still in the learning process and investing is just part time for me, but I have to agree with Capt. and Spence on this one. If you, mikeisme, show up out of nowhere and start being critical on a day like today, then I think you have other motives than just being a concerned investor.
Our 1 day, 5 Day, and 1 month chart are looking better than they have in....... well a very long time. Don't get me wrong, I need this puppy to climb to at least .02 before I can even get my periscope out of the water so I am not rejoicing at this point and I still have my doubts.
This is not, however, the right time to show up negative. Had you been posting legitimate concerns and simply continued to support your position, then it would be different.
I have said critical things in the past about PRs and such, but you have to admit that the new management is handling things differently and at least gives the appearance that they are trying to dig us out of this massive hole, if possible.
Hmmm... and only one minute apart.
OT: You guys re looking at the same girl in the picture, right? The one carrying the green purse walking toward the camera?
