Art-good points. The biggest indicator to me, whether positive or negative, is the lack of a CEO. Hasn't it been over 2 yrs now? Its easy for people to say that this co doesn't need a ceo until oil is found but I think that is a pretty weak argument. Yes, its probably hard to find a good ceo w/the ongoing investigations, but I would think many ceo's come on board co's w/problems all the time.

Its just my opinion, but I think the reason there is no ceo is because they have no intention of ever hiring one. IMO only, once they can quantify the amount of oil down there, ERHC will be merged or bought out by Addax, CVX, XOM or some combination thereof.

If you are right, I think this gives even more credence to the scenario of a major buy-in or buy-out of ERHC by Addax followed by a take-out of Addax by XOM. Earlier most thought CVX would take out AXC due to their operatorship of Blk 1, but w/the sale of its Blk 1 interest to AXC, their take out makes much more sense.

This is a real back door approach for XOM as they couldn't justify to their shareholders an expensive take-out of ERHC, but, they CAN justify spending Billions on buying a producing company like Addax.
