As we've been told, the only thing in question has been that the peroxide has to be an EPA approved one. Which, the company and its law firm knew beforehand.
Yet it seems like the process will take longer than the projected 5 months and 21 days. All along the company's said it could take longer, but they've should have at least alluded to the decision in the non-pc X-mas message.
Now they're on vacation. I wish I could go on vacation, but I invested during the Esposito-surge...
John's been very nice answering my emails and calls, so I'm ok with him getting a breather. Espo has bought extra shares twice, so I'm cool with him. I like Shannon and think he will do an awesome job selling the machines, when they get out of the starting gate. So he needs the rest, his time is coming. As for the others, the people here have enough to say about them.
At this point, hopefully the G-man or Ben will weigh in.
Sorry for rambling once again!
This doesn't mean much, but this profile page also just popped up online. If it was there before, it wasn't coming up in "timed" searches. http://topics.nytimes.com/top/news/business/companies/medizone-international-inc/index.html
The Bloomberg Company Overview of GYD S.A. just came online.

FWIW, by my very suspect calculations, we are 5 months(formal approval process) and 21 days(preliminary approval) into the EPA process. So they could have the answer today. But as we know, nothing is in stone...
I'm long and rooting for GC, but this board is toxic. We have extremes on both ends. Buyer beware.
IF they get EPA approval in the next few days, can they hold the announcement until next year?
It seems like some of you will follow GC into the scrapyard of broken dreams.
IMO, after this "long" wait, the next PR is make or break. I'm hoping for something concrete, "firm" won't cut it.
GLT-longs!
(This was a reply to the thread, not necessarily to Greg's post)
A friend of mine translated the articles on AS that were in the SA news. She said SA has had four new health ministers, who oversee the SAFDA, in the past two years. The use of AS was okayed by the previous minster. But the new one halted the use until his people can look it over.
The EPA did. It's on the company site somewhere. Plus see: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=118989004
I was commenting of the possibility of them being told. But you're right. They could know.
No comment. Eom.
Anywhere between Dec 17th and the 21st. But it's not written in stone. If it was, the company would be told of the pending decision by now.
For more brilliant deduction on the topic, go here:

He's the inventor of the world's most advanced engine, yet I've heard he drives an oem Rolls. That's weird.
Unless I'm wrong.
Ben K let us know that the only thing holding up approval was the peroxide. Which was one of the problems with their previous submission. It has to be made in the USA and be EPA approved. So I'm certain this time around they used an EPA approved one. And I'm sure one of the advancements on the gen 2 machines is epa approved peroxide. Lol...
It uses an EPA approved peroxide. Lol...
Maybe George is not a car guy. Real car guys are inveterate showoffs.
Does GC drive a car with a Coates engine?
Didn't GC state in the pr that the Cummins retrofit would be done relatively quickly. It should have been done already.
Now you're saying late January possibly February. Why so long? Where did you get your info? How do you know about the China deal taking longer, too?
Thanks.
Who bought more shares today? MCBURL, was it you???? Or maybe it was Esposito. They gave him shares when he first came on board, he immediately bought more, and then bought a few months ago.
If I remember correctly, Vincent Caponi had the option to buy shares for one year at .16, but didn't get any shares when he came on board. But I'm not sure.
I'm rambling. Sorry. In closing, I think we're close to EPA. Very close.
This is a technology that if it works, there's no dollar amount you can put on it. That said, right now it's at .004/sh. Which means, there's a HUGE problem somewhere.
We need to keep grounded, until GC proves himself, and only then, will he earn our trust. Though if that time comes, he won't need it. LOL.
GLT-longs!
I think the EPA countdown mess was partly my fault. I was told from the beginning not to get too caught up in the dates. But I did.
And I still am. Lol!!!
Ok, so now the formal EPA five month review process, most likely began after the 21-day preliminary review finished on July 18th, as noted on the 10-q.
So that means we are about 4 months and 18 days into it.
Though it has been noted, it might take up to Dec 21st(or longer because nothing is written in stone) for a response.
Yet the company might know sooner, as we learned in Whatisvalue's post:
Gelati, you were fairly certain we'd get a response from the EPA in November. Now what do you think? Next week? By year's end?
Thanks,
Joe_NY
It's up to GC to shut up the short selling vultures, not us. Because as of right now, COTE is a sub-penny debacle. It's a carcass ripe for picking.
Also, it's nice not to see any of those silly PRs. Maybe GC will serve up some red meat soon.
GLT-longs.
Not to confuse matters, but I had contacted the company a few days ago and came away believing that the five month period began when the submission was assigned within the EPA for review, after its initial delivery in late June. But they did caution, as they had previously, that the response date is not written in stone.
I'm rooting for GC to properly reinvent the wheel.
But I would seriously warn those looking to put their money into this stock. Everything I know about Coates engines is from Coates. Buyer beware.
And I'll say it again, there's a reason the short selling crew loves this stock. Nothing adds up...
I hate warning people not to buy, but hate to hear baseless recommendations to invest. GC has to show us the goods!
I would say 2nd gen news wasn't supposed to come out just yet. The only noteworthy news at this point, is EPA approval. The company knows that, IMO. So no "small news", until big news.
SO WE ALL WAIT.
FWIW, I think today most likely ends the *5 month EPA waiting period, and since it's a federal holiday, the EPA says to add one day(I saw that on their site regarding the 5 month response time). So tomorrow is the day they should, might, maybe, respond.
GLTA.
BTW, Semper, did you serve roasted Coyote? If so, did the fam notice?

Ditto. Eom.
After listening, I can't understand why Coates engine tech isn't reported in the news and the share price isn't rising. Something is not right.
I hate to say it, but I understand why the short seller vultures picked COTE to prey upon. No reason to hate them. They are trying to make a buck like us longs.
BUT--I'm still holding out hope that GC can pull this out. GLTA.
What happened to the link to GC radio interview? Which thread is it in?
In what way are the 2nd gen machines more powerful? Will the area they can cover be larger or will the kill factor be greater or???
Thanks Ben!
Interesting to see the new Twitter posts about AsepticSure vs bedbugs...
The submission was received June 24th, but it probably took a few days to be assigned to a person or group, because it took 25 days to complete the preliminary "21-day review" by July 18th. See 10-q.
So that would push the response date closer to this Thursday. I'm guessing the EPA might get back on schedule, based on the fact that it looks like they did adhere to the 21-day review. But as we know, nothing is written in stone...
From 10-q:
On July 18, 2015, we received notification from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (“EPA”) regarding “Report of Analysis for Compliance with PR Notice 11-03” acknowledging that our submission of June 24, 2015 was found to be in full compliance with the standards of submission of data contained in the referenced PR Notice 11-03. The EPA has up to five months to complete its review of our application to register our AsepticSure® Oxidative Catalyst for use with our disinfection system in hospitals, clinics, the food industry, recreation/exercise/sporting facilities venues, and hotels. There is no assurance that our application will be accepted or that additional changes or modifications will not be required in order to obtain registration. However, we view this development to be significant and will continue to work with the EPA and our professional advisors to obtain the requested registration.
Hopefully very soon AsepticSure machines will be used in the US to combat MRSA and other pathogens.
"MRSA stands for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Staph is a widespread and usually harmless bacterium; about a third of people carry staph in their nose, a major reservoir for the bacteria. When staph does cause an infection, antibiotics should clear it up. But that becomes more difficult with MRSA strains of staph, which can’t be killed by penicillin, methicillin, or related antibiotics. MRSA strains can be deadly, killing thousands of people in the United States every year...."
No pr in "awhile". I hope that's a good sign, because they do read this board(might even post, too???).
Hopefully they are waiting for something solid to report.
I'd like to see independent press, 3rd party evaluations, and cash to change hands. A video of gen sets would be nice, too. News of firm orders and shipments to Coates only drives share price down.
For people new to Medizone, this video shows an excellent demonstration of the AsepticSure machine:
Thanks Vegas and the others. As an investor new to COTE, I'm trying to assess risk, as are many other newbies here. And just as I'm suspect to the detractors, I'm given pause by those who are overly optimistic.
Especially because I can't point to 3rd party research or enthusiasm.
Hopefully GC can pull this off. GLTA.
Vegasandre, I can't believe you've been long with COTE for 20 years and are not screaming to high heavens about the sub-penny price or the fact that there's no real media interest, and of course, that there are zero sales. From where I stand, all I see is smoke and mirrors.
I'm sorry, but you seem disingenuous, and that is to put it nicely.
I hope I'm wrong about you, and especially about Coates. It's interesting stuff. But I'm not a believer yet.
I checked out the photos of GC IN China. Nice to see the product on display for inspection. We can only hope real deals will be made. It seems there is a final hurdle between Coates and sales/media. I'm still thinking they might not clear it.
