The problem is that no one wants to slap the ask. Everyone is bid sitting and we slowly move lower.
What's confusing to you about it?
In the conference he told us he had offers but they chose to distribute themselves. Listen to the audio from the Marcum Conference. He names a few companies that were willing to distribute. If you follow the history of Yellow over the last few years, this is believable.
Each layer adds time to collect the accounts receivable in the film industry. If you hire a distributer I believe it takes longer to collect on ARs. Debbie could probably tell you for sure, she seems to have the best handle of how the revenue flow works.
This will allow them to collect Accounts Receivable faster. That way we do not need to wait over a year to collect the receivables like Storage 24. Benefits and drawbacks to each approach.
MDNT is my first penny stock. Appreciate your encouraging words regarding MDNT. Not planning on trading these for a living. MDNT seemed like a risk I had to to take given the amazing potential. I was wondering what was the story of the two companies that you went long and succeeded.
Just saying your list of manus failures was not comprehensive enough. No technology agreements or indian production services agreements.
Do not forget the activity guidance he has failed to meet.
He has 250 to 1 preferred to common voting rights and owns 10M preferred shares. This would need to get north of 2.5B shares in order for shareholders to have any chance at control.
How many sub-penny stocks can generate 17M+ in revenue. Many on here think it will be 30M-40M if not more.
Manu said the following on twitter regarding Yellow revenue estimates.
it's on our books @ $17M+.. We expect to generate more than that number
I hope he uses that one at the conference today lol.
I am going with July 25. I think they will need some time to get the marketing together.
Why would Koppelman even want to be involved with this? I will be interested to see if he shows up tomorrow at the Marcum conference.
So first he breaks his promise that it will be announced at Cannes. He does not even meet the date in the 10k. He sets a new date a week prior and does not meet that. How can we trust that he will even deliver on the date next week? Manu is the worst CEO.
I do not think Seethruequity started covering this stock until a couple of months ago. Their initial price target was $0.13.
Are you thinking of NTB equities research?
The company has been public for 2 years. That deficit has been accumulated during the last few quarters for the most part as the company has been scaling up for the studioplex. If Yellow is successful, that deficit could be eliminated very quickly. The author specifically said "movie projects" not the company's profitability. Seethruequity said they made a profit on all their projects except for one that was pirated.
This company was private for almost 10 years prior to going public. I am assuming that did not lose money for 10 straight years.
I think this may be a lie "and their movie projects consistently lose money"
Seethruequity stated that almost all of their movies were profitable. So I am not sure which source has the accurate facts. I would think that if Manu's company was in business for 10 years they would have to had made money.
Remember that investors can listen live to the Marcum Conference tomorrow at 11:30 EST. I will be interested to hear them explain the stock price and dilution situation. I would assume it would come up in Q and A but who knows.
I do not get why people keep defending this idiot CEO. Yes he said the stock was not for the short term but he also said many things that contradicted that. No one could have guessed that meant diluting the stock down 90%+. That is insulting to the group of shareholders that bought in at those levels.
The shareholder letter was probably the most misleading thing that Manu produced. He stated that one of his main priorities was returning Medient stock price to its actual value. He made a point of how he was not diluting after releasing the 10k. He then goes on to dump 600M-700M shares in two months driving the share price down 90%+ from the highs. I hope this is part of some greater plan but I become less hopeful everyday.
How about selling his 6M in account receivables at a discount. Better than selling shares at less than 10% of book value.
We could be at 950M if they continued at the 50% dilution rate. Probably at least 900M IMO.
50% gains daily is good enough for me.
Tomorrow should be big as long as the company does not dilute.
I do not understand why the company is diluting at these levels rather than using some sort of creative financing. Like selling an equity stake in Yellow or selling their account receivables at a percent of their worth.
Are you still feeling good about this long term? I know you were one of the bigger bulls at one point.
Yeah the AMAG note was in default. All the others are not due until after release or after.
I wonder if he is just talking about the AMAG debt because the rest was due post release.
AMAG, Inc. is a media investment company. It made a loan of $1,000,000, which has accumulated $346,063 of interest, towards the production cost of the film Yellow. In addition to repayment of principal and interest, AMAG shall receive a three percent participation in Yellow. This liability was assumed by the Company upon the acquisition of the rights in Yellow as of October 18, 2012. The Company is in the process of negotiating an extension and has made a payment since March 31, 2014 in reduction of the note. Annual interest is payable at 12%.
Those are the film festivals.
No it has just been screened at film festivals to build buzz.
I have been debating buying but do not trust this d-bag Manu. I wonder if he will finally come through and announce a date for Yellow.
Manu says the are in contract negotiations for financing.
Scott Glibowski ?@ScottGlibowski · 29m
@manukumaran @SuperMikeR6 what about an update on financing for the studio due this month. Is that on track to be announced next week?
? Following Manu Kumaran?@manukumaran · @ScottGlibowski @SuperMikeR6 we are in contracting negotiations Sir...
Yeah it is totally worthless for sure. Even 100 shares would be a waste.
How much did they compensate these guys?
That's what he should have done months ago IMO.
What do you think the proper market cap is for this stock?
So you think Manu will come through with this financing?
Did Effingham county even provide medient with any money yet? Does anyone know? Did Medient receive the 1.25 site improvement grant? Cause otherwise Medient is just occupying land that probably would not be used anyway.
