Can't buy PM, thanks to eTrade's 7AM PM hours. ETrade does not allow you to react quickly to news like the big boys and they have a 3 hour jump on retail.
Interactive Brokers allow 4AM pre-market.
Lol! Classic.
Watching UGAZ closely for entry.
The Algos are brutal. They can run a stock up and down at the blink of an eye, taking out stops and snatching up or unloading shares for profits.
The charts for the 3 majors look strikingly similar. I didn't know that they walk lock in step with each other to such a strong degree.
Anyone aware of a website that shows overall market inverse meaning if this goes down, that goes up, this affects that, etc?
Truth.com right there. I agree with what you posted.
Uh oh, that's the start.
Where are you hearing this?
Ditto, SF. Hey man, ever notice that most retail online brokers do not allow trading when pre-market open? I believe NASDAQ and NYSE allow pre-market trading as early as 4AM BUT the likes of eTrade don't allow PM trading until 7AM.
Pro traders got a 3-hour jump on retail traders. That's BS, if you ask me. I am actually looking to dump eTrade and move to Interactive Brokers....a little more $ but allows PM at 4AM.
Hmm, starting to sound like they are running the major markets like a penny stock "CEO".
What caused this pop? I wasn't watching the market at all today and saw the pop in price. What happened?
When??? Lol
Can't go up forever.
Earnings AH looking strong, screwing TVIX royally. Could push us to 50 SMA test or lower, which I am not complaining about.
Another option I am considering is using TD Ameritrade for charting (keeping a small amount in there to keep the account active) but using InterActive Brokers just for orders.
Yeah, it happens but not worth the risk and time in research. Rather trade $ and volume movers like ETFs and ETNs on the big boards.
I am seeing that there are hucksters on the major boards, too but not even close to the number of scammers on the pinks. The air is a little fresher over on the major boards although some crap exists here like Algo trading machines.
Leave it to "nice" guys to do the chasing. Women don't like "nice" guys in general because they usually come off creepy and too clingy. .
Search for "Corey Wayne" on YouTube. This dude has the man/woman relationship dynamics down pat.
Example:
Pink sheets are garbage. The amount of time it takes to find a winner is not worth it compared to trading these index ETFs and ETNs. Heck, I am trading less and less individual companies and focusing a little more on ETFs & ETNs.
Ha ha! Sounds like you may be familiar with "The Game" by Neil Strauss. Excellent read, by the way, although containing some nutty stuff. lol
This is killing it again today.
I don't do OTC anymore. Not my cup of tea. It was more like ExLax to my account when I was trading them.
Good observation.
Only if eTrade moved the PM hours to begin at 4AM, they would be perfecto! I like everything else about eTrade except the PM hours.
I am moving my stocks and cash from eTrade to InterActive Brokers because IB allows PM trading as early as 4:15AM.
Good point.
Ouch. I'll wait.
Makes sense. I am guilty of taking a 10% loss. I'm with you and will be cutting that back to 5% or less. However, in some cases like TVIX, I let it slide 10% because I figured S&P would be weakening soon. I didn't think it was going to happen today.
I took a short nap today while it was in the $2.80s and woke up to it being over $3.10 after hours. Friday may be even better.
Hunter, you earned a follow from me, bud. I like to be associated with people who are hungry to improve. As one who was laid off in October 2014 and having a challenging time finding a new job, failure is not an option for me. My motivation has increased ten-fold to learn, research and pick the brains of those who are making money.
People like AntiMarketMaker, StarBuxSux and ClayTrader are helping me to change my mindset and control the emotional aspects of investing. One day, I look forward to being able to mentor someone else on winning on Wall Street.
How would you track the bond market? Thorough ETFs, a particular index, etc?
UVXY is on a run. ETN TVIX is going as well. Tomorrow and Friday could be very golden for both depending if S&P dives further.
Watchlisting this one. Thanks, SBS.
Message!
I am taking a cue from you and SBS and waking up earlier to catch some worms. Like Kermit said, "it ain't easy being green" but is sure feels good. Lol
I was hoping for those $2.75s too but Mr. Market had other plans. Oh well, already in at $3.04s from the other day. I'm not complaining.
I just nodded off about an hour ago and wake up to this?
Awwwwwwsome!
I was going to wait to see if she goes to $2.70s but she keeps fighting back into the $2.90s. May just pull the trigger on the upper $2.80s.
