Thats great! CRF in my view is a great income producing investment . It has a very high yield, in fact i found no other fund that returns 17.5%. I really liked owning CRF. Unfortunately i sold it to take on more risk in GSAT and FNMA. I will one day return to CRF, but not until i have a over $100,000. The only problem with CRF is that it does not have much growth . I don't see it being worth more than $6.50 in the near future. But on the positive side it probably won't be worth less than $5.50. Im not saying it won't be worth $30.00 ever again, it just won't be any time soon. I have been watching this Fund for three years and i don't think i have seen it over $7.00. Here is the explanation of the rights offering. I don't fully understand it. It is Cornerstone's PROGRESSIVE Return fund that has has this offering. Not the total rerun fund. There are three different cornerstone funds. Total, Progressive and Strategic.
Cornerstone Progressive Return Fund Announces Record Date for Rights Offering NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Apr 21, 2014) - Cornerstone Progressive Return Fund (NYSE MKT: CFP) (the "Fund") announced today that it has fixed the close of business on May 1, 2014 as the record date for determination of shareholders entitled to participate in the Fund's 1-for-3 rights offering. Each shareholder will receive one non-transferable right for each share of the Fund held as of the record date. For every three rights a shareholder receives, he or she will be entitled (but not required) to purchase one new share of the Fund at a subscription price equal to the greater of (i) 107% of net asset value per share as calculated at the close of trading on the expiration date of the offering or (ii) 90% of the market price per share at such time. Fractional shares will not be issued. In addition to the shares offered in the primary subscription, the Fund may offer a 100% over-allotment to oversubscribing shareholders. Shareholders who fully subscribe in the primary offering will have the option to oversubscribe for additional shares, to the extent available.
I am trying to understand TLPS. If the FCC approves the new range in the spectrum to GSAT, than what are the implications? Could it be possible for all cell phones to run on just WIFI ? Or am i missing something?
That would suck for us.
Yeah, sell the business to Berkowitz! And give the shareholders the dividends!
Hurricane Katrina sucked. My home town of St. Bernard parish got hammered. 26,000 homes went under 12 feet of water. This was not your ordinary "local flood" It is not the same. Many people moved on and are not coming back.
Thanks for that explanation!
Catalysts....
Legal Battles — The last of the major catalysts is court rulings. In many cases, a simple ruling can make or break a penny stock. Hardly any company has been entrenched in the courtroom like TiVo Inc. (NASDAQ: TIVO).
We wrote about TiVo back in December 2007. Its revolutionary digital recording technology is both a huge moneymaker and a legal nightmare. You see, plenty of other competitors claim rights to certain patents TiVo profits from.
It takes a tech geek to decipher the differences between most of its intellectual properties, which isn’t usually a prerequisite for a judge. For the last five years, TiVo has been tied up in court with its competitor EchoStar Communications Corp, now part of Dish Network Corp., over a patent dispute. The court finally ruled in favor of TiVo, rewarding the company $103 million plus interest.
Upon the day of the ruling, shares of TiVo jumped 53%. This gain sent TiVo’s stock over $11 per share and out of penny stock land. That just a drop in the bucket of what a lawsuit ruling can do for a company. Imagine what $103-plus can do for an even smaller company…
These are just four types of things to consider when thinking about buying a penny stock. But even if you do have the perfect catalyst lined up, that’s only the beginning.
I had a similar dream a while back! I saw FNMA at $14.08 in GREEN! It seems to me , in order to get this moving up again there needs to be another hedge fund announcement of buying shares or upping the "bet". That gets people buying. Do you think the price could be sub dollar with the hedges positions? Do they own enough of FNMA to prop up the price? I don't think the market makers could bring it down that low to sub dollar. It would take drastic news.
Don't feel bad , I'm a laborer in commercial printing! I don't have a large position in this though. I wish i could have just traded this stock. I only sold it twice. Once for a very nice gain, but the last for a modest gain. Albeit i have not lost any money on this one yet. The only problem with this stock is it sells off way too fast. I gave back almost all my gains on the last dump. Why don't i ever lock them in? Its never bad to lock in profits. One thing i have learned ( from you ) is gaps always close. That is a truth that is hard to learn. When a stock gaps up it usually fills the next day. But sometimes ( unfortunately) it goes higher for a few weeks before it comes down and closes. The last case was a killer. But i have learned to pay close attention to gaps that don't get filled. There is a lot to learn to making money or in my view pulling money out of the market. I don't know i want to be an investor or a trader. I feel like i have the discipline to trade as i was trapped in a very bad position in FNMA for 6 months after the may run. But i knew i would get my money back out which i did and turned a nice profit in november. Investing is different. I don't know if i have the patience to wait 5 to ten years to "hit it out the park" on this stock. Sure it could be a home run. Or you could strike out! I think many people on this board are certain they will be winners. Sometimes I'm not so sure. Ive seen this stock sell off so fast it is scary. In fact it scares the shit out of me. The wrong news could send this to $0.00 in a flash! Like a flash in a pan. POOF! there goes your wealth. Im not bashing, i like FNMA, and i hope to see it restored. But i don't trust the government, who have there own agenda. I hope everyone does good here i want to see them win. As for me i will likely sell my shares if ride up to 6 again. The type of work i do does not pay a whole lot and i need cash now. Regardless of what happens, FNMA will provide me and many others here with LIQUIDITY! GO FNMA!
is this going to be bad for the share price?
What does this mean?

I agree with what you said. The GSE's are doing a great job. The new bill to wind down and create new agencies is not a new idea. All they would be doing is recreating the wheel. New firms would still provide guarantee after 10% private capital loss.
What do you guys think this will be worth when it is announced?
THIS WEBSITE IS AWESOME!!!!!! THANK YOU KING!
"Its very clear that the government strategy was to try and stall the case out in the hopes congress could pass a bill before a decision could be made regarding the sweep. The accelerated pace of discovery has killed this strategy. By filing a motion to dismiss and pretty much laying their case on the line to justify it, we are about to see a good portion of the trial before the trial. I predict that as discovery moves along it will become clear and clearer to the world that the government stands no chance of keeping the sweep in place, and we may see huge gains in the stock prices. I caution though that those forces in government that have been working for our demise will not go down without a fight."
When i read things like thins it makes me want to increase my position a lot.
So my question is what is a realistic price/ valuation for FNMA common shares once the conservatorship has ended? Everyone is welcome to give input.
Are you an evolutionist? From goo to you by way of the zoo?
$50.00 by end of week!
Well my other stock is getting up listed to the NYSE, that would be Globalstar GSAT. MAYYYBEEE Fannie and Freddie are going to be up listed also!!!

Seems like the day ran out of time. Good close!
Yeah, a lot of people talk trash about FNMA but the reality is they are very profitable companies. PERIOD! It doesn't matter this is OTC. That is the governments fault . What FNMA does is a serious business.
IF THAT HOLDS UP I WILL HAVE $520,000!!!!!!!
NO, $25.00 ++++ TOMORROW!
I really miss the way you used to pump this!
Late day breakout!!!! BAMM! GOOD!
yes he likes fnma !
What's up with all this high frequency trading stuff? What is a high frequency trade?
Im watching shark tank on cnbc, it makes me realize that most ideas are stupid and it is very difficult to build a business. It is unbelievable that the idiots in Washington want to dismantle Fannie and Freddie, one of the most profitable businesses in the world, to start from scratch with some unproven housing finance system where phantom capital will flock in and take the first 10% loss.
HAHA! WHAT A CROC !!!!!!!
I talk with the salesman often and i told him i bought stock in this. I wish i would have got in around .57 c! Well, its good to be here. Globalstar is spending a lot of money on printing and advertising there products. They are also doing a lot of booths at different shows around the country trying to get the word out. Its to bad the plane didn't have their technology on board.
POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!!
I agree with you Obi, in think as we get closer to April 29th, we will start to see more hedge funds racking up the bets on Fannie and Freddie.
Great video ! Thanks!
Yeah, i was thinking is this gonna have another big dump or two before the final burst? My luck i would sell at 6 or 7 and then they will come out and say "We are ending the FNMA conservatorship and profits will be returned to all shareholders" .... then bam she shoots to $20.00 or higher!
Yeah, i got in last week at 3.46 and i just found out a hard lesson on wash sales. Im not in at 3.46, my average cost is 3.68 because i lost money on two purchases from the last run but it wasn't much. since i got back in fmna before 30 days it ties those wash sales into my average costs. How screwed up is that? I made a profit on the last run, but i sold on the way down at 4. Why cant i just hold this stock? Because when she tanks its scary cause we never know if she will bottom! Hopefuly we won't need to worry anymore about tanking, RELEASE THE FULLNESS OF THE FANNIE!
Something happened today. Somebody wanted a boatload of shares at 3.46....... MMMMMMM
WHO COULD IT BE NOW???? da na naaaa na na lol!
FREEDOM IS SO CLOSE I CAN TASTE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That was cool!
Truth is no one really knows whats gonna happen. Sometimes charts can mislead people. I was studying the RSI charts on different stocks and sometimes it stayed above 80 for quite some time. This one does seem to always sell off sharp when it gets up there. I learned it is a 14 day chart. So if we have 14 days of trading and 3 were red mmmm, maybe time to sell? I don't know. It would have been nice for me to take profits. In case of the bill moving on, i would suggest setting up a stop loss if you fear the dreaded dump. If she does tank it will be fast. I have learned when she is tanking i don't have much time to sell... by the time i put my password in and type everything i need to in we have gone down like .60 cents ouch! I wonder if its all part of a grand scheme for the politicians to make money sometimes. Why did this sell off from 6 to 3? NOTHING CHANGED. Even the idiots at motley fool said this. This bill has not changed. All they need to do is mention it and FNMA sells off like a lit firecracker. It just sucks to give back 3 months of gains in 45 minutes. But perhaps the whole cycle needs to start again so they can keep it nice and cheap and liquid so they can reline their pockets. Rinse and repeat thats the name of the game it seems with FNMA.
Thank you for this one!
No I'm just a commoner who own some FNMA commons. I was wondering if there were any big traders who could trade like $200,000 to $500,000 at a time like it was pennies. Or is that legal? How much can you buy of this stock before you must report to SEC?
