All noise from the same direction Nowak, and nothing that the next two quarters won't silence.
The market is tanking and nobody knows what to buy.
We've got IMSC selling into the competitions backyard and taking over the ETD market. Maybe we're the only one that noticed up to now. That will change soon enough.
Frustrated that we're sitting here at 80 cents..but also taking full advantage of it.
Maybe Shiloh....seems whoever was bidding all day at .77 with some big buys could have bought the day before at .71 with no problem. We'll see if was random or somebody, somewhere decided to grab some shares before a good PR. (Although any sales PRs usually drop the stock, such is our wacko stock)
Makes no sense. Market is tanking. No news. Implant up. Either someone is playing games, or someone knows something.
Yeah, if nobody seems to notice that this little company is beating the pants off it's much larger competitors in their own backyard, maybe they'll notice it on the bottom line over the next two or three Qs.
I pray they can PR the TSA order, that is a PR they desperately need. Really amazing work by their sales team though.
Yep. He made a great point about Dr Jones. Using italics or spending all day here writing posts, doesn't make you right, or smarter, obviously. Just repetitive.
We haven't disappeared off the screens of the most important group, those that BUY our product.
I'm giving them some more slack because of all the recent sales, to now show the world what they've accomplished. (they need one to demonstrate the other)ie....shipping TSA/Selling Europe/making a profit!
I'm still not sure about the Yes/No vote to tell the truth, but willing to listen to rational reasoning.
A breath of fresh air that should smack all those whiny short term memory folks that asked "where are the sales"? (Now replaced with incessant "why don't they buy shares") Great post Pat.
Not sure that consensus was full price. I had always assumed it was a fairly big discount to get their foot in the door. They could have discounted it more apparently, as their competitions price was cheaper.
My point was and is, they would not be around much longer if they had not gotten the TSA contract. So my four years in as an investor would have given me a big fat zero. Not happy with .73 either, but I understand that the TSA contract gave them cred to compete with the two other big boys.
What they do with that momentum, is what we hopefully we get to see in the next few quarters.
Just a reminder to all those questioning the price of each unit. Implant HAD to get that contract. It was essential to their survival in my opinion. If they spend the next five years selling units to the TSA at a small profit, lowering their cost over that period and improving per unit revenue, it's better than the alternative, Morpho or Smiths making that small profit.
It legitimized the company to the rest of the world and opened doors that I don't think would have been opened. If they can lower the cost per unit of the 220 and get the new handheld out there at a respectable profit, then selling it at smaller initial profit was a wise move. Without the TSA, I don't think this board, or company would still exist.
And if we can just get through this period, the next Q is gonna be pretty sweet.
Biggest day in the companies history? Not really in the top 1000.
Maybe they scramble a PR together.
"We, the management of IMSC, realize that today, this random Tuesday in April had been deemed "the most important day in the companies history" We realize now, that those approval days, IDQ day and all the dates that have changed the direction of the company, pale in comparison to this one day, today.
"We have been asked by those who believe this, (that message board guy) that we come out with a statement to calm fears (hopes, in his case) that the stock is freefalling and we are at a new low."
"We realize this and will make the stock change direction starting, tomorrow, a Wednesday in April."
Thankyou. (Add music, if needed)
As in, the math to get to that figure.
Not sure where the 162 million figure came from, but if IMSC gets the majority, then it's a game changer for them, and it appears vital to have kept the company in business.
I think that constant share price decrease, even with all the good news lately, might have even shocked management. One look at the Yahoo board shows that there is someone spending a whole bunch of time to make sure the price doesn't appreciate.
So who knows what goes on at the shareholders meeting. Obviously they didn't plan on a 70 cent share price. Either way, I'll be there to find out what they have to say.
BB. I'd guess it's somewhere in between those two. I'd say they had to discount quite a bit to get their foot in the door, because if that door was shut, I'd hate to see the share price now.
The Qs after this one will definitely be much more pleasing to the eye and hopefully will bring new money and investors to the company. They hopefully have a plan to rid DMRJ of it's 8 cent options when the money roles in. Otherwise, that investor meeting in July is gonna be heated.
I hope the real investors on here stay the course, painful as it is right now. Just realize that a particular poster on here and the nutcases on Yahoo have one desire, for the price to go down. Don't feed into it and concentrate on the story of this great little American company.
And now....a Modelo is calling!
What happened to yours?
You should be buying at this point, not selling. Zero chance of no deal by 31st.
(There's lots more where that came from.)
You are always SO sure of things you are SO wrong about.
New GSN Article that highlights the Morpho Protest:
(You can also go to the GSN Homepage to read it off the front page of the April/May issue)
http://e-ditionsbyfry.com/Olive/ODE/GSN/LandingPage/LandingPage.aspx?href=R1NOLzIwMTUvMDMvMDE.&pageno=MQ..&entity=QXIwMDEwNQ..&view=ZW50aXR5
Another GSN Front page article about the bid protest against Morpho! Not somewhere I can link and too long to copy, if someone can post a link. Really damning Morpho's tech and more good press for IMSC.
And don't think for a moment that article wasn't helped/written by someone in Implants PR dept. They need to get this great story to Forbes, CNN, CNBC, next. Nice job letting the rest of the world what we know.
Lots of good stuff. Someone, somewhere will take notice sooner rather than later. We're gonna have some pretty amazing Qs coming up.
Hopefully they can PR the TSA shipment. If not, I personally will send out the info to every news agency out there. (They will mention it I assume in the CC)
Can the story get any better!!?
Buzz....nothing..and I mean ZERO has to happen, if Bill/Bob/Uri appears on CNBC during trading hours. That's how I found out about IMSC, and that's how thousands more traders could find out about it. I say traders, because they jump in and out, at least the majority, but there will be some that read about the company, realize it could be the next Wall St darling, and keep or add to their position. See TASR a few years back. We are a "darling" company, just not enough folks realize it yet.
It happened a few years back with Uri, and it had just about NOTHING going for it. It was amazing how quickly it rose, and a huge percentage.
Not sure how long it lasted, but with all it has going for it now...sales to Europe, a possible ECAC future sale, sales to every part of the world that their huge and dominant competition has held for decades, the giant order from the TSA, handheld future...etc...etc.
All that will convince some (a much higher percentage of a larger pie) of the flippers, who can see a few months down the road, to stay invested. The debt conversion would be gone quickly to say the least. I know they're making this a priority...so stay tuned.
First time Bob was on Bloomberg last week, IMSC was not mentioned or shown in subtitles. This time they mentioned it and hopefully next time, he will be interviewed ABOUT the company that is transforming the ETD world.
THAT is ALL we need. A mention...a conversation that lights the spark, for all the tender that is just waiting to be lit. The stock will never look back.
Might not have to wait much longer for some very good Qs to prove IMSCs dominance in the ETD space over the last year.
I understand investors are upset with the stock price, but there appears to be a lot of good things going on that are being discounted. The 66 B220s sold to Norway announced today, the cost cutting of $2 million annually announced yesterday, substantial sales to Latin America and Asia totaling $1.2 million announced a few weeks ago are significant not only for themselves but for the future, in my opinion.
Who would have thought that Norway, which is a pretty small country, and one not known as having serious concerns about terrorists, would install 66 explosive trace detectors? Implant didn't announce the dollar amount, no doubt for good reason (competitive, Norway didn't want them to, other), but it had to be large.
If Implant sold for $40K each, that's $2.6 million, $35K would be $2.3 million, and even as low as $30K would be just about $2 million. Even more important in the long run, the press release mentioned ECAC and non-radioactive technology, so that bodes well for us. Imagine if every ECAC county -- 44 of them as I recall -- buys systems. Norway has to be one of the smaller ECAC countries, so we could be looking at lots more revenue in the near future.
I believe Morpho has not passed ECAC standards, so presumably our only competitor is Smiths (I think it passed but I'm not sure). In any event, we've had some very, very good news the past 30 days, and I think more is to come, if the sale to Norway is an indication
Shorting in silence is one thing. Shorting (or convincing others to buy) with the purpose of misleading, lying and creating falsehoods, is another. One has integrity, the other doesn't.
They would be be the smarter of the two.
How bout they sell from a position of strength as opposed to desperation.
They will be at that point, or closer to it, in a few months. They need a few Qs of good numbers, an increase in the 25mil order of the IDQ, a few more nice non TSA orders like we've been getting every few weeks, and perhaps a nice new handheld to show the world. If the debt conversion is addressed, even better.
For myself, ignore the flippers on here and Yahoo, buy when everyone else is selling and in the Fall, hopefully IMSC will be a much more attractive company to a potential suitor. After all these years, I'm willing to wait a few more months for something less than scraps.
I was looking for the original order, but couldn't find it. Maybe it's pooled with others in a PR. It's a huge company and this sale seems to be for the U.S. Hopefully they like the product enough to buy for their operations in the rest of the world. They are Number #1 global seafreight forwarder Number #2 global air cargo forwarder. 63,000 employees and in over a 100 countries. Nice addition to the cargo sales, even better that it's follow on.
2 to 3 years ago, there was not a 160 million dollar IDQ. There was hope and a prayer. Implant will PR the first shipment IF they are allowed to by the ridiculously protective TSA. If not, it won't be PR'd, but it WILL be shipped. Which, if not dramatically changing this Q, will definitely change the ones after that.
It really is a great American business story. They have to spread the word. We've been told they will do so. I give Bill and Bob the benefit of the doubt. At least for a few more months.
It's only been 4 years, why not stick around for the good stuff?
Regardless of what the price is on the offer that was accepted by the TSA, it was MORE expensive than Morpho's offer, so the technological advantages outweighted their lower price.
Better questions is: Why is a foreign company allowed to strangle and slow down a small US based company with a ridiculous protest that was even mentioned in the protest decision. Three months to come to the conclusion that is was baseless? Shoulda been dismissed from day one.
...quote from protest result....effectively amount to protest allegations that have the purpose or effect of reducing competition to the benefit of the protester.
Anyone that was surprised or is acting surprised by the financing wasn't paying attention, or has other motives. Financing is settled, protest is settled, new CEO and his team now need to take this to the next level. How bout that..."we are shipping" pr...and the first photos of our machine at TSA checkpoints. Lots to put out there. Get the story out!
What they want to do is take the time to put out a GOOD and INFORMATIVE PR. Not just a "the protest is denied" PR. Explain what's been going on for the last few months while waiting, what their plan is for shipping the order and maybe mention something about the soon to be announced financing. (if possible) Anyway, I think a really good thought PR is needed, not just speed.
These two are pretty damn impressive...
I had asked recently about the CC and was told it was Tuesday as well. Might be hoping for a positive outcome if the protest before the call, which I think will be after the close... maybe just a coincidental timing of key events.
The reconsideration is only for an earlier dismissal, which we did not see. It does not come into play for a denial of the protest, which is what we will hopefully see.
Our decision will be final, at least in the short term, as they can only take the protest to the courts after a denial, but even that doesn't stop the initial order from proceeding and IMSC being paid etc. Hoping for late next week as well.
Looks like that Broadsword with the Jan 16th date is a reconsideration from an earlier dismissal. Maybe they have a longer timeline on those?
I sent GAO an email wondering about the timing and dating of the list. If you go from old to new...ie, what should be the next to be decided, the first three have file dates later, up to a full month later on one of them. (Dec 30 file date..decison by Apr 9)
It had me wondering if the date filed is the only prerequisite for a protest, or they are moving somewhat randomely through the list. Who knows, may find some insight into the date its released to IMSC..and the date it's released on the website.
So, here's a question. If you think that the protest will go away, which I do. If you think they get the entire IDQ, which I think they will. If you think this team will revamp the financing, which is essential, but def not a given. Then...
What is the downside of buying at 87 cents? Seems to me that if there ever was a good tome to buy, this is it. I realize that the uncertainty is there with the complete lack of information, but to me the most likely worst scenerio is that we get bought out for a ridiculous price, but I'd imagine it would be north of 1.50. Anybody else buying?
I'm gonna keep chipping away small buys if it continues to drift down. Been here long enough to see this movie many times over.
Good point GH. He did return my email, but I wouldn't expect a call back for anyone/everyone who calls with a question. The rest of IMSC employees have been great about returning emails as well, so they might be a source of info as well. (Brenda, Todd)
Why they didn't just come out with a PR stating exactly what was in that email, I have now idea. Seems like everything with IMSC is stealth and annoyingly so.
As far as the protest, it looks like they are now about 75th in line for review, unless they decide that ETD is something that maybe they should move up in importance. Seems to be 3 or 4 new decisions a day, so do the math on the timeline for an answer.
On the bright side..seems almost every one is thrown out.
Looks like Mike Turmelle is handling Investors for the moment. A note was sent to Bill M with some questions and this is the response from Mike.
Bill sent this to me as he is quite busy today and I thought I could help by handling investors for the next few weeks. I've been on the Board of Directors for 10 years. In that time including today we've had 3 changes in CEO's. All brought something different to the table and each was successful in their time here.
I hired Glenn 6 1/2 years ago as CFO and six months later promoted him to CEO because he had the right skill set to help us work through the issues you mention in your email. We've had some great accomplishments over the last couple of years. Now with the protest of the TSA award almost resolved and the granting of the certifications around the world we need a different set of skills to take us to the next level. We need as a company to execute on the TSA order, brand the Company and increase sales in new markets. That is what the Company is focused on and those are the skill set I think Bill helps bring to us. We will be supporting Bill with other hires and we will deliver this message to the market over the next 30 - 45 days as the protest resolves itself and we have more to say.
I thank you for your support. This in another step in the Company's evolution and we look forward to earning your continued support. Again thanks for reaching out and I'm here to answer any questions you might have.
Best regards,
Mike Turmelle
I know everyone is looking for some clarity, (myself included) so hopefully a PR or CC will happen in the near future. Otherwise, you might try emailing Mike with specific questions at: mcturmelle@gmail.com
Yeah, how bowt this.
They get the protest thrown out.
They get much better financing and have the cash to:
A: Actually PR the company and show up on CNBC/FOX/CNN and show how this little American company is soon to be the largest supplier of ETD in the world, both desktop and handheld.
B: Speed up the handheld and sell that baby in the 100s of thousands.
C:Glenn gets rewarded for his 7 years of hard work turning this tiny nothing of a company around.
D: The stock hits 10 bucks and becomes a market darling.
E: I buy a small boat or a larger car.
Seems like you couldn't ask for a more opportune time to be in the ETD business. This protest has gotta go.
