There's no guarantee that this is a baby ISRG, but it sure as heck looks good and a very similar model. I bought ISRG years ago when it was at $120 and didn't have a full understanding/appreciation of the company. I actually first saw use of the device on "Greys Anatomy" which prompted me to invest!! (HAHA) I watched the price go up to almost $300 then fall all the way to $60 over a report that hospital funding had dropped, the units were $1 milllion a piece, the training was extensive, blah blah blah. At $60 I was depressed that it had dropped so significantly, but also wondered if I should buy more. However, all my stocks were in the toilet so I just didn't have the funds and everyone said it was likely going to drop more. When it went back up to $200 a share ( i kept reading the Pigs get slaughtered--and having been slaughtered during the dotcom era I figured it was time to get out with my profit and be thankful (I had 100 shares). When I look at today's share price, I literally just want to KICK myself!!!!!!!! I'm sure we all have coulda woulda shoulda stories, that one is mine. I will stick with MZOR--as someone who lives with back pain, I believe this baby will go far--this time I am in for 1000 shares with fingers crossed that they do even a fraction as well as ISRG!!! Good luck to all who are here!!!!
I'm still here too, hoping for some good news but not getting my hopes up. Glad GOOS is starting to move for you! I'll give it another look, but I sold a bunch of my stuff and got into MZOR (Robotics surgery for back and brain I believe)--hoping it will become another ISRG, which I did OK in but got out WAY WAY TOO EARLY since I didn't full understand the business model and will FOREVER kick myself for. MZOR may or may not be as successful but so far they are doing well and if nothing else may become a buyout candidate, so I am going to sit tight over there!
Good luck guys and happy investing!!!
Well put. I've been watching some of the grinding of the teeth going on here. I can understand why some people are questioning certain things but to add implied negativity or perception is not helpful unless you are sitting in the offices with these guys and you know for a fact every single thing that is happening.
Alex said this thing was going to take between three to five years to really succeed, but everyone wants things to have happened yesterday. I sometimes fell that way myself--as it is disheartening not to see the needle on the price move up AT ALL. Nevertheless, its also been said that we won't see any revenue or needle moving until 2nd and third qtrs. Patience is key and allowing these guys to navigate the waters as they must is something we as investors have to do. You put your faith in them to do the right thing the second you bought a single share here, much less the millions that many of you have. I have always believed in the Trust but Verify motto, and I think its ok to ask reasonable questions. I felt the blog by Alex was very informative and far more transparent than he maybe even needed to be.
Nothing is a guarantee, but I do believe they are 100% dedicated to making this a success. Can you hold tight til they do? IF 2nd and 3rd qrtrs come and we see NOTHING of significance, then I will join the camp of complainers, but for now, I believe we need to let them execute without wringing our hands and saying mean and ugly things to one another. I'd caution about being OVERLY optimistic too. Things will happen as they do. Right now, we'd all love to see this get over .10 as a first goal and that would be HUGE!!!!
Seriously, right!!!? But Chron is not expected to do anything of any real significance until 2nd and 3rd qtrs, so keep it on watch for those qtrs!! :) At least BDIC seems to be inching back up!! :)
Report of 1st sales of the product--which should come soon now that it is approved for sale!
Soon as they get that first contract and revenue starts flowing in, its going to be game ON
WOW! Fantastic news!!
Consider putting Bionovelous (ONOV) on there too--its a compelling little stock that i'm hoping will have some GREAT potential!
Thumbs up to that Ruck!!
I'm going to go ahead and take at least another 40,000 shares off his hands when my funds come available tomorrow! ;)
DH--you are absolutely right, he did say that. He was non-committal on when exactly significant revenues would start pouring in, but then indicated that it would be sometime this year--hence MY own commitment to sit tight and wait the year out, though he was pretty clear about significant things happening in these next few months and within THIS year. Thanks for keeping me straight!! ;)
This was a GREAT interview! Although we still seem to be a year out before anything significant happens, my faith in the company has been GREATLY restored. Thanks again for linking!!!
I had not. Thanks a TON for posting!!! ;)
Sure thing, they are up listing (and posted a video on FB Zen Technologies of the team drinking a $300 bottle of Dom) as they are achieving several of the goals they have set out. They also just acquired an electric company. Seem to have some potential and the SP is so low you can grab a good chunk. But they likely have a ways to go. Nice to see the engines firing up tho...
I know I haven't been around much--wasn't too happy with the last bit of news--you guys need to check out CHRO (Chron on the boards here) looks like its possibly getting ready for some bug moves...GLTA!
yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. sigh. KICKING KICKING KICKING myself over and over and over. booooooooooooooooooo
yeah...that was disappointing to say the least
Keeping my fingers crossed for good news here. The demand is definitely there.
When I bought ISRG, it was $100 a share and I bought 100 shares. It zoomed up to $175 (which was great0 but at one point, dropped all the way down to $65.00 At that point I contemplated buying more but then got nervouse--each machine is a million dollars and I wondered how many hospitals could afford it along with all the training and the tools needed to keep the machines calibrated and new tools get bought for each patient. I couldn't see how they could continue growing long term so when the price reached $300 I decided to jump out. BIG mistake! ..but at least I made some money. It's the hindsight that's the KILLER!!!!
I had Bidu too...but didn't stick with it. Others that I bought and got out of WAY too early included ISRG, MSTR, AMZN, GOOG.....just didn't know enough and was too scared to lose all my money.
On the other hand, I did score some nice HOMERUNS with PCYC (although, I KICK myself daily with that one, I had bought 10K shares at $2--but it was a serious rollercoaster and I finally decided that 10K shares was JUST too aggressive for me so I pared that down to $1K--you may know the company got sold to Abbvie for $275 a share I think--Ouch! DND--bought 1K shares for $4 and sold at $56 and some other pharmas (they are serious risks but when they pay off, man do they pay off!!)
but getting back to BDIC, was hoping we'd hear something from them by today--we need some news!!!!
I could regale you with some serious horror stories--the only reason I am not a millionaire several times over is because I am a STUPID STUPID investor!!! :( [oh well, its ONLY money, right? hahaha]
I just powered through Schitt's Creek--it caught my eye a few times, but I couldn't commit, once I started watching, the comedy is painful but funny.
I was a huge Breaking Bad fan, but for some reason have not been able to get into Better Call Saul--although I hear its darn good.
Looks like BDIC is ticking up a bit. I'm seeing NFLX still up, where are you seeing its down?
Yes--looking forward to it, but concerned they are up--usually Netflix trades down on announcement day then shoots up after hours! I bought way back when it was $39 a share and had 1000 shares, but after 6 months of it doing NOTHING I sold. AGGGGGGHHHHHHH!! Bought back after it split but closer to $100 a share, after kicking myself over and over and over for not having kept it to begin with!!!!! coulda shoulda woulda I guess.... :(
Yup--THAT would be great!!
Looking sooo forward to it!!!
Yep. Me too. The waiting is always the hardest part, and it gets irritating when this climbs to .50 and all is feeling better with the world, then the next day its down at .37 then back to .50 then down to .40 It wreaks havoc on the ole nerves!!!!! ...sigh--I'll manage--thanks for helping me keep perspective
It's hard not to wonder why the test results haven't been provided by now. I get that they need to be analyzed and scientifically balanced, but this isn't one of those things that requires weeks and months to see--if it works, it works and the results would be both visual and very evident. Can't help but wonder what the hold up is?
Nice and realistic analysis. Thanks!!!
Glad to see they finally got their reports filed, but I was under the impression they were starting to generate revenues in 4th qtr last year? Am I mistaken? thx
Yes, FINGERS CROSSED. I'm ok waiting til Monday since this being Easter week and all --lots of people on vacation with kids and not a whole lot of eyes around...
The swings on this stock have been really weird. Up to 50 one day, down to 40s and 30s the next. We need some good/GREAT news to stabilize the price and get more eyeballs on this!
Looks like you are having a great day! We need BDIC back up in the 50s!!
Good luck--hope it does well for you!!
I bought GOOS right after IPO then immediately regretted it. Their coats are very high end and very EXPENSIVE. They tout how well made their products are so repeat buyers are not necessarily buying for themselves, and they are very expensive "gifts". Are there enough celebrities and rich people buying that will keep this company growing? I chickened out and bailed.
If you want to take a look at another penny, check out Zen Technologies of ticker symbol "Chron"--its run by some pretty successful guys and is in the smart controls/security space. They are only trading at .0256 as of today, but they just acquired an electric company in TX and supposedly have established some great relationships with a number of commercial clients. The sentiment on the board is really pretty positive.
As for BDIC, I am going to continue holding and expect they will continue to grow over the next couple of quarters!
Well alrighty then! I'll be waiting with bated breath!!! LOL!
Cool, thanks for the info!
FINGERS CROSSED!! ;)
Waiting on that company update!!
I've been here for at least 6 months (bought when this was in the 60 cent range)--it seems to me that by now they would know how well the product works and what its effectiveness is.
Why is it taking so long to get the sales started? Would have been nice to see a PR upon their return of the conference in Guatemala, not only regarding participant expression of interest in the company, but shed a positive light and alert us to any significant discussions with the major coffee growers in LATAM. What are we waiting on? I'm happy to stay patient so long as there's an end goal in mind and not just more "testing."
p.s. just bought 15K more shares today, these seem like great prices, but come on ONOV, get moving!!!
i like seeing the .5s stick!!
Correction noted! I like your enthusiasm and positivity. Been burned on pennies a few times so I tend to be a little more pragmatic--but everything seems likes lining up, and these guys have been incredibly successful in the past so it bodes well for the future.
ok, so WHEN the company executes on everything this should indeed be quite the nice investment!! ;) (HOPEFULLY sooner than later!!)
Thank you Pro--I have been reading all you and several very informed others have posted and have been sitting on the sidelines while I read about many of you attending the shareholders meeting in TX. Seems like there is a lot of good stuff being lined up. Hard to see the price not doing anything significant --the waiting is always the hardest, but those who got in this low or lower will thank their lucky stars if the company executes on everything many of of you have already discussed here. I'm smaller potatoes here, but did go in for about 400k shares (just not ready to sell my home or car for a penny stock yet) but I will be watching this one VERY VERY carefully and be ready once it starts really moving. I wish everyone best of luck, the story here is VERY compelling, and thanks to all who have been great about keeping everyone so informed and up to date!
