There won't be a R/S anytime soon. Take a lot of time o set it up. Nobody here has any time. It's time to cash in or kick the bucket.
Poptech, why is there no stream of money coming in? How does this work exactly? When, where and what do I have to scan to make our baby some cash? Microsoft, Kraft, Porgressive Insurance - that's pole position in three entirely different and huge business sectors. What's happening?
Nice metaphore. I feel the same way.
This hints at a question I've been asking myself for some time. Have YA actually been in this because they believed in the company? Given their record of PIPE deals I get the feeling they are very surprised Neomedia is becoming a success.
It's only unlimited as long as there is debt.
Very good (and often asked question). I hope Poptech will respond with some insight. The 10Q in november stated Neomedia had about $1.3M in cash at the time (monthly burnrate now something between $250.000 and $350.000 I guess), yet did not consider itseft self-sufficient. From this I conclude that Neomedia regards one-time payments as secondary to steady income.
That was something I really liked about the 10Q, the fact that Neomedia considers a relatively high cash position unimportant as long as there's no continuous flow of money.
The four basic laws of supply and demand are:
If demand increases and supply remains unchanged, a shortage occurs, leading to a higher equilibrium price.
If demand decreases and supply remains unchanged, a surplus occurs, leading to a lower equilibrium price.
If demand remains unchanged and supply increases, a surplus occurs, leading to a lower equilibrium price.
If demand remains unchanged and supply decreases, a shortage occurs, leading to a higher equilibrium price.
The fifth law (also called the Yorkville Advisors law) is:
If demand increases supply increases (at least) congruently, leading to horrible things.
The sins of the fathers. But it looks like we just gotta keep going. I wish we had weekly update on YA debt.
Neomedia has clearly stated that shareholders are playing an important part in paying down debt. This is what is called dillution and it's one of the (few) things Neomedia has been very transparent about.
It's a hardcore bet on the ability of management. I'm not really convinced by the current personell, but the deals they closed within the last six months make me shut up.
Very nice article.
He goes by many names. Some say his greatest trick was to convince us he never existed.
How big are they? Are they are a prominent player? TIA.
EDIT: Yes, they are. S&P 500 and the works. Cool.
What makes you think it was a scam? If so, they paid a nice sum of cash to Neomedia for a fake deal.
Well, as long as Neomedia doesn't continue borrowing (in exchange for Convertibles) volume reduces debt and that's a good thing.
I have to say, though, Neomedia's website looks awesome. Have you ever seen Berkshire Hathaway's? Oh... the sweet 20th century and its substance over style...(*swoon*)
Ahhhh yes, their list of 'partners'. I have completely forgotten about that one. It's a who-is-who of the business world that's been hanging on Neomedia's website for ages and yet they can't break even on a monthly basis. Never understood it and still don't.
Oh, I'm staying tuned, don't worry about that. But believe me, if they were SS they'd put a QR code on the moon. This company has - for a decade now - not shown the least humility when it came to accomplishments, but successfully sugarcoated the raw sewage they are floating on in such a professional way that it seriously upgraded my BS detector (and I had a pretty good version before that). My studies of the infamous Confirmation Bias seem to be complete now and I can't wait to hit the road again, trying my newfound knowledge on another enticing adventure.
But first I want my money back.
That's exactly it and it's aggravating beyond belief.
Communication as usual. Everybody knows now and nothing was said. LM is an excellent psychologist.
Great. Actually I put it on there because I heard God's got the scanner and it will make it easier for him to assign me my place in [insert QR code here]
I personally consider online/mobile ads the plague and am always happy when a company/website decides agains them or to use them sparingly. I don't know how others feel, but I hope the extra cash (whch shouldn't be too much based on your links) will make up for the extra annoyance of Neoreader users.
Well, I got a Neom sticker on my casket. Ordered it in black-blue 'n white, too. So I don't care anymore!
Yeah, but I´d like to know how much Neomedia is making on the ads now.
Great pitch, totally high concept. Is Bruce Willis interested?
Just kidding, I strongly believe we will be pleasantly surprised this year. Just not sure more drama will make Neomedia any more sexy. We've had enough of that. This company taught me a lesson. From now on I'll put my money in the most boring, straightforward stuff possible.
Good luck to you and everybody else.
Dillution, dillution and uh... yes, dillution. Besides that we're all still waiting for the self-sufficiency announcement. Imo the company should be making enough money to break even quite soon, but no one knows if that will be enough to handle the past.
Me too, but this time the SEC is involved. And if YA was able to extend the maturity yet again I'd appreciate a little communication from Dear Laura (not like last time).
I very much expect a comment on the SS announcement in the 10Q. If she keeps quiet about it she officially disqualified herself as CEO (imo).
Does anyone know if YA has broken even by now with their investment in Neomedia?
It must happen soon. It's very unlikely YA can continue funding Neomedia the way they used to after the summer. This spring is it (or not). We've been patient long enough.
I hope LM will address Neomedia's debt cliff anytime soon. In combination with a killer 10Q would be great!!!
I sure hope so, feeling very good too for next year. But it's time to kill the Kraken, it's been unleashed for way too long and almost ate the boat.
Paying down YA till summer is a monster goal. Should they be able to achieve that then we should see revenue going up like crazy in the next 10Q.
Merry Xmas, happy holidays, the works... Let's fly real high next year!
Sorry if I misunderstood, but are you saying they are self-sufficient now? Did they announce that?
I strongly agree on the global reach. I'm in Belize over New Year's. True 3rd world country but a Kraft sign in every grocery shack/supermarket.
LOL!! What else were they involved in? Helium-3 mining?
Hang on. We'll get there.
Lol. 2013 is going to be beautiful.
My favourite comment:
Mr. See Says...I have always "held the faith" in one who is so good to dogs!!! My own "double hunter" {daddy was a Lab.Mommy was a Beagle} " Mr. Turk " says...thank you Laura for all you do for neomedia..each deal just gets sweeter and sweeter!!!!
That would be a no. I'm afraid the irony might be that they would have invested in the company if their money was indeed hard earned. We'll soon know.
Sorry, didn't want to get on your nerves. I hadn't read Poptech's post.
