Jeff is awake, and does not do press releases or updates until he has all of his ducks in a row. In other words, when he's good and ready. Remember # 1 (see yellow sticky notes above). He lets you know how he runs his business.
No dude, this company doesn't move that fast. From my past 3 year experience with stock, a merger or acquisition could take a while. This is a buy and hold stock, so if you are an avid trader, don't tie your money up in this stock. You will become impatient, and end up selling at the bottom to free up cash. I've been holding this one for years now with news of franchises expansion then franchise buy back, lawsuits, mergers and so on. It's the same song and dance every time. People buy in when they hear some news, the stock price rises which brings in the quick money traders raising the stock price even higher. Then, as always, the quick traders sell - most at a loss - when the company doesn't do what they want fast enough. That brings the stock back down until the next press release, and then the dance starts again. However, some of those traders do keep SHOM on their watch list. Which is a good thing I guess. One day this stock will rise and make people large amounts of money, but not in the foreseeable future in my opinion based on past moves like the one we just experienced.
Will do. I've been holding this one for over 3 years now. Hope it finally pays off. I bought in at a much higher pps back then, and I've been buying ever since to lower my average little by little. Good luck!!
Thanks unclefester for the dd.
Wow, someone's lost it. Big sells! The heat was too much I guess. I would probably do the same, but I've been in for too many years now to give up. You think you've been waiting long for this stock to move, try 4 years. I had a few extra bucks, and said what the hell, let it ride. Lol
That's what I'm talking about!! Play with the houses money. Lol
I'm not selling any time soon. I'm holding for the long run. Hopefully one day, before I die (lol), this stock will rise to level where a larger company will buy it or it will trade on a major exchange, and who knows might even become optionable.
Looks as if we shook off the sellers...for now anyway. Now we wait.
I mistakenly assumed that stock prices were driven by the value of a company; however, I've found that stock prices are controlled by speculators, and nothing else. The last I checked, the company isn't driving the stock price—people are, people who are speculating on the stock. And, what makes it even more interesting is that people, being human, are subject to emotions and reactions — which is all a major component in the game of speculation. it amazes me how difficult this concept is for most investors to grasp, or at least how little importance they place on it. If you have ever listened to a stock recommendation from a professional analyst, they will name a dozen reasons why such-and-such stock is a good "buy," with every one of their reasons being tied to company fundamentals. "This company shows consistent earnings...," or "We feel that its stock is under valued compared to its earnings," or "They have good, strong management" are common remarks. Not one of these analysts ever considers the most important factor of all, which is how the crowd will speculate on the stock. Yet, it is the speculation of the market that drives the stock up or down in the first place. Certainly, company fundamentals (earnings, growth, management, etc.) play a part in all of this, but only because the speculators think so. In other words, a company's earnings are reflected in its stock price only if the speculators believe that it should be. Again, it is all speculation, regardless of any other company condition. Taken from book "Low Stakes Power Trading".
I'm keeping my shares just like I did when SHOM went through the lawsuit with the crook ex- partner it had a couple of years ago. If someone wants to try and make the pps go down, let them...I'll buy every single damn one that I can afford. If you are trying to short this stock, cover quick when it drops, because your going to lose your ass if you don't. I'll be buying...at the ask. Us old timers that have held this stock through thick and thin have done our due diligence. Try another stock dude, this one is too legit to quit!! Lmao!!
I've been holding this stock for a few years now, and it's always traded like this. I just add more when it gets low. Hell, the company said they were buying the franchises w/ stock. How do you think they stay out of debt? We foot the bill now, and in the end get a return. I see no evidence of hiding or deception. We are even able to talk to the CEO if we want. Try doing that with any other company. But, if someone thinks it's a scam, then by all means sell your shares. I'll scoop em up.
SHOM does not do many PRs
We should hear something by the end of this month. The last quarterly report was on sept 30th for the third quarter. The number to SHOM investor relations is Phone: (864) 655-5902 - Fax: (800)-915-0559. I copied numbers from their website. I hope it helps.
It doesn't matter if it was a pump and dump. In the end the fundamentals are what count. I've seen this before with this stock, and we will see it again. I've been holding this stock for a couple of years now, and all I can say is SHOM has only gotten better with time. I'm in it to win it for the long haul. I suggest that if you sell, hold on to a little for a long time and don't sell it all. SHOM will grow or a bigger company will notice the balance sheet and want to buy or merge with SHOM once they expand a bit more.
Happy hump day SHOM!!
The chart looks good. Looks like there may be a double top forming, but I'm hoping the MA crossing will keep it up enough to give it a push past resistance. Just need the volume in our favor, and we should be good to go.
We need the spread to stay tighter. Feeding the bid is like feeding greedy hogs. If you are selling, make them pay the ask. If they want in, they will pay it, but I know how it is if you need the money fast. This stock is more than worth holding for the ask.
I believe it. This is a great Co. With a good CEO, and I will continue to hold and add to my shares for the long haul. Thanks Flex!!
I've held this stock for a little over three years now (when it cost more to get in). I've been buying every time it goes lower to try and average out of the red. Hopefully this is the push that takes me back in the green!!! No MJ pun intended.
Volume's rising again. It must be pay day. Lol
Very quiet...
This is the way SHOM trades. It's been this way for years, and I don't know exactly why. It may be because of a number of things such as its pink limited rating on the OTC or the lack of news and updates (PR) on the web other than its own website. Even ihub doesn't have anything under the "more financials" link. It seems as though SHOM isn't being put in the sights of other investors the way it deserves to be. Sure it comes up on penny stocks hot lists or whatever they're called every now and then, but that just brings in traders that buy large amounts of shares driving up the price for a short while, then they sell the price back down while taking their quick profit. At the same time it shakes out other investors that see their investment turn red. Hopefully this time is different, but I'm not holding my breath; however, I know this is a good investment that doesn't take very much capital. So, I'll be holding my shares, in the triple digit red, for as long as it takes. One day it will pay off. I will not give in to a shake-out!! Lol
Do you think it's been hijacked by pump & dumpers, and that's why there are so many new comers all the the sudden? If so, I think I should call the CEO and let him know what's going on.
There are people selling, just not at the bid price. If no one was selling, there would be no ask price.
Welcome everyone that are new to SHOM!! I've been holding and buying shares of this stock for a long time. I've even bought shares when it was over a penny and had a different ticker. The company has such a great business ethic and does everything to accommodate the share holder. That's why I've stuck with them so long through good times and bad. I wish you all the best of luck this year with SHOM. Hold on to your shares, and you will see them rise as the company grows. It's simple supply and demand.
Yes, very nice. This stock's going to do well one day if it stays on the right track.
It has its days, but she's pretty solid.
Looks like SHOM's trading with a tight spread now. Lets hope it can maintain.
Ok, thanks.
Is it up and running, because I can't find it on Facebook?
Very interesting how the trade screen works. I bought 30,000 shares at 0.0030 at 05:38:38 this morning, and it was logged as a sell on the trade screen. There is nothing about the fact that as the other person sold, I bought. This is something I will take under consideration when I view the trade screen from now on. I learn something every day
It's real, I seen it in person. Don't talk crazy talk.
Yes, it should bring in revenue how much depends on how big the contract $ amount is, if they have to hire more employees and/or buy more equipment and supplies to meet the contract requirements. Remember, expansion cost money. Especially for a small company like SHOM. However, winning contract bids are usually a good sign of more income to come if done correctly.
Looks like you are right about all the buying. People are buying as the shorts are selling lower. Bell did say that this one would act a little different than the last pick. Could take a little longer, and not pop as much. With so many shorts i think it could pop pretty good if it starts to rise and scares the shorts out of their positions. That may be why there is so many buys at these low levels.
Looks like a good buying opportunity. If it performs like this on payday, I'll be buying more!!
That is very true. Hopefully it's consolidating for a pop to the north. I can't see why not. Not too much wrong with this company compared to others, and it looks like a good M&A stock. To me anyway.
Thank you for the reply and info. I don't know how long the application process is either, but it looks as if they are gearing up for it from what I read in their last news release.
Does anyone know when SHOM's financial audit will be done, or how far along they are with it??
Let's go SHOM, need that volume up some more, and some cash flow.
