All I could find was the same old "CE" crap. If there is something new - post it.
A few days ago someone posted that John Borque was going to be in Washington for several days. Has anyone heard anything about his agenda? Is he meeting with politicians or the military (possibly both)?
Whatever - it sounds positive. Lets all hope he returns with a basket of golden eggs for us to snack on as we sip KZ's minty green refreshments.
Ummm, are those BORK tokens I see beneath the rainbow?
Thanks to Jelly. I now know what a real busbar looks like. Umm, how much does it cost for a ride?
It seems to me that it would be difficult for BORK to bring to market a batch of new products in less than two or three years. Money will also be a problem as they will need a bunch in order to set up new manufacturing facilities. Other than the government, who might very well advance funds for future products, very few customers are going to be pre-paying for items that are not available.
Those of us in the "Very Senior" group just hope that we will be around to see it all come together.
TC,
YOUR TIMETABLE SEEMS REASONABLE TO ME. IT PROBABLY APPLIES TO THE OTC CE, ORDERS AND PRODUCTION AS WELL. I HAVE YET TO SEE ANYTHING COME OUT ON OR NEAR THE GUESSIMATED DATES OR ANYWHERE CLOSE. WHEN I MADE MY FIRST BORK STOCK PURCHASE (SEVERAL THOUSAND SHARES @ 4.25)ALL OF THE ISSUES WERE CERTAINLY GOING TO BE CLEARED IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS.
I AGREE IT WILL ALL BE CLEARED IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS. I JUST DO NOT KNOW AT WHAT POINT OF THE CALENDER THE TWO WEEKS WILL START.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL. IT'S ABOUT TIME TO CRAWL INTO MY RECLINER AND POUR A LIL STOLI INTO THE FROSTY MUG OF KS'S MINTY GREEN KOOLAID.
Hey, that is what i was trying to find out without going back and reading all of the sticky notes. Ummm, does the TOU require you research something before you ask a simple question?
John,
Just what does that mean? I thought the NIJ did all of the testing (dropping, freezing, heating and shooting. Is this shooting the final stage? If it passes does BORK get the certification right away?
Ummm,
ATTLin, are you still sticking to the "Great News" in the first two weeks of October? You are usually right so I'm looking for "Something" this week.
Any updates you can share?
Jim
ATTLivn,
I, along with many others, ae hoping that you actually have solid information to back up all of your optimism. What we do not need is a bunch of pumping with no grounds for the hype. BUT, if you are really in the know and things are about to "POP" - great.
For the life of me I cannot understand why the PPS is so low. There has been nothing that I know of to indicate that KRYRON is not a fantastic new invention with unlimited possible applications with great thing coming soon. SO, why would anyone be selling with the CE and NIJ problems coming to a head?
Good luck to all!
Mike,
I think someone had posted there would be "exciting news announced" at the GO - on the Facebook page. I went back and it is no longer there.
Those that attended have posted interesting news. I think almost everyone thought the new facility would be producing the Fatboy plates and now we are hearing they are going to be producing Kryron powder. This does not jive with some of the machinery that was to be installed such as a Laser material cutter (or maybe I just do not know what Im talking about). I guess we all should be excited because all of you that were there was impressed with it and the staff.
I do remember someone had posted that one of the employees had said the facility would be able to produce approx 100 plates a day.
Things change - if the change is due to desperate need of mass production to fill a pending order - so much the better.
Jim
Whom may I ask, is officer sheridan?
It's looks as if things are going to all come together by the end of the year. GREAT! FANTASTIC! WHOOPEE! WOW! BORK, BORK, BORK!
It's time to make some money.
Do you think they will start producing the plates next week in order to have an inventory ready when the NIJ finally comes through and contracts are signed?
A PREVIOUS POST INDICATED THE NEW FACILITY WOULD BE CAPABLE OF PUTTING OUT 100 PLATES A DAY OR 500 A WEEK (NORMAL WORKWEEK). I SEE NO REASON THE PLANT COULD NOT WORK 3 SHIFTS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK AND PUT OUT 2,100 PLATES A WEEK. THAT IS OF COURSE IF WE HAVE ORDERS THAT WOULD REQUIRE THIS VOLUME.
THIS FACILITY WAS PUT TOGETHER, EQUIPPED AND MADE READY TO GO ON LINE IS A VERY SHORT PERIOD. THERE IS NO REASON THAT OTHER PLANTS COULD NOT BE OPENED QUICKLY IF THE DEMAND IS THERE.
IT IS REALLY GOING TO BE INTERESTING TO SEE THE CONTRACTS THAT ARE COMING UP SOON - HOPEFULLY ONE OF THEM IS THE US MILITARY. THAT ALONE WOULD MAKE BORK A HUGE SUCCESS IN THE SHORT TIME IT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS.
As Tony the Tiger would say - GRRRREEAT!
I just hope that I never have to say that I got BORKED!
Some of you say it does not matter what the share price does as long as it is up when you sell.
Ummm, does this mean that I should feel goood about all of the shares I purchased at $4.26? Now down 50%. Sure, if I hang on until it hits $5. I'll make a few bucks, but it would be better to have doubled my profit.
For what it's worth (not much), I really do not feel it is good for the stock to be all over the place, drastically up and down every day.
PWron,
No, I did not think they could set up a facility in the short time. But,just them putting out unrealistic timetables time and time again is not good business. Just how many times have we heard the NIJ approval was two weeks away? It was just two weeks away when I started buying 5 months ago.
At least they now have Kyron in the final testing phase and the other hurdles appear to be being addressed. I am OK with what is going on, but if December rolls around and the Skull & Crossbones is still up, the plant is still down, and the NIj is still two weeks away, I will now be a happy camper.
GO BORK
Bourque Industries Acquires Manufacturing Facility
July 18, 2011 9:15 AM ET.
At the time this was posted there was talk that the facility should be up and running within two to four weeks. It has now been two months.
Does anyone know how it is coming along? Have they recieved the machinery?
Better yet - why not have one of the company officers call the engineer and enlighten him on Kryron and send him a nice package that displays all of the armor in the works?
KZ,
In no part of my post did I indicate that I had better knowledge of the company workings than anyone else. In fact, let me state now that I rely on you and the others on this board for the little info I get. I simply stated that the NIJ level 3 is not what was being expected by the stockholders.
It may be as JonTrader says - they are going for an entry level and will follow with applications for higher levels soon.
It is still my opinion that the stockholders should not have been caught completly off guard wondering why we want a license to sell products of the same quality as already available.
You are John's friend - and even you seem to have been very surprised.
I've been on vacation and upon my return had to read about 150 posts to catch up. It appears that everyone, EVERYONE, was surprised at the NIJ approval level being level 3 instead of level 4. This should not have happened. The company surely knew that the stock holders were expecting a higher level that would surpass the competitions products. Failure to clarify this is the same as misleading the stockholders. I do not feel that I am alone and I would ask those of you that talk to the company officers let thim know how we feel and see if they have a response as to why a higher level was not sought.
BAM is the manufacturing Arm. BORK is the marketing arm. It has been speculated that at some point in the future the two will merge into one company. As far as I know there are no other details available at this time.
Jon,
There are so many things that could be improved with a stronger and lighter metal it boggles the mind. Really, what is made from metal that would not be better if it were lighter, stronger and cheaper?
Have you ever bought a lottery ticket? You probably have and then you went home and fantisized about how you were going to spend your millions when your number came up. I think that is were we are right now. We have bought huge numbers of BORK stock (lottery ticket) and are now sitting back and dreaming of how well off we will be as soon as our ship comes in.
Or as KZ would say - when the train leaves the station.
Ummm, maybe they can make ham and eggs next. I think we may be getting the horse before the cart. First we need to produce and sell one product and then speculate about the next one. They have one building that is not yet ready to crank out anything.
It sure would be nice if the first order was form the US military. That could be the only business they need until they can start turning a profit and expand their production capacity.
Kryron Sheets.
Excuse me if this has been asked before. Is it possible to produce Kryron in sheets or rolls like cold rolled steel and them be stamped into panels? From my wee bit of knowledge and experience with aluminum product, most items are poured into forms or molds.
TC,
The Airborne Infantry would not be airborne without the flyboys. So all of you are invited to be Borked with the rest of us.
Have you read anything to indicate whether or not Bork was invited by the military to take part in the fort Bragg Shoot or are they doing it on their own. It would mean a lot more if it was an "Invitation Only" event - meaning the military has a growing interest in the company and Kryron.
Max,
Errr, maybe you do not know who is going to be there. Fort Bragg is home to the 82nd Airborne division (The All americans). The 101st Airborne Division (The Screaming Eagles) is located at Fort Campbell, KY. Both represent the very best of our military and I would love to see them protected by Kryron.
Otherwise - GREAT POST! AND - I hope you are correct on the next two weeks.
KZ,
And what sort of reply are you referring to? The PPs is up nicely on high volume. It has to be due to news that other people are aware of (or a rumor). Most of us on this board are somewhat heavy into this stock and plan to be here rooting for it for some time to come. If there is news (or a rumor) why should we be the last to know and be able to act on it?
Come on Treader, what is the rumor? Release it now and watch the PPS jump and hold. Dang, what good is a good rumor if you don't tell someone? Might even make us all jump in and buy some more.
Hey at the $3.00 level I was only down 30%. As long as this baby goes to $10 in 18 months, I'll be happy, happy, happy.
Come on $2.50
This is why our economy is in the tank. Government feeds on itself and the larger it gets the harder it is for private companys to start up and grow. Too dang many regulations and hurdles to get through. Some states are much worse than others. Anyone know where Arizona sits on the business friendly scale?
All I know is that he powers to be in BORK are VERY condident that they will be producing product by years end. They know what has to be done better than those of us on this board "just guessing" so I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and my support at this time. BUT if we are still sitting at this same spot by the end of the year i expect many of us are going to start worrying again.
BobEye,
Have you heard rumor of a shoot at Ft. Bragg? To me this would indicate a direct interest in the Kryron vest by the US Army, would it not?
Ft. Bragg - home to the US Army Special Forces and the 82nd Airborne.
This would be great.
dbanks,
With all due respect, when I first looked at BORK as a potential investment, I saw;
1) A pink sheet company.
2) A skull and crossbones.
3) A company with no finacial information.
4) A company producing nothing.
5) A company with no profits.
6) A company with a great product - but one with powerful competetors.
In other words, A VERY RISKY INVESTMENT.
If you want a small safe return, buy a CD. You want a huge return - take a risk. BUT do not risk more than you can afford to lose.
I'm in for the long haul and I still think this is going to pay off and make me some money. Not this year. Maybe not next year.
From my previous posts, I have been begging for the company to feed us tidbits of the progress. I do not care what it is, just something. BUT just reading of the schedules the company officers are trying to keep, I am going to try to be a little more patient. I will be saddendedif we do not see some real progress by the end of the year.
Jim
Rumble.
I have tried to talk to as many people as possible. What I am getting is that the NIJ approval is in the bag, no problems and whether it comes in two weeks or six weeks will not effect anything. The manufacturing faclity will be up and running and product going out the door before year end. They are working on the Skull and Crossbones but cannot guess at the date it will be solved at this time.
Go Bork!
Roll Tide!
SirCooper,
I just copied the e-mail. Hope this helps.
Oh by the way,I do not believe a work of this (the armor they have is OK). I think it must be crappy or there would be no big contorversy.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Body armor worth $2.5 billion that the Department of Defense's Inspector General found had been improperly tested poses no hazard to troops, according to the Army.
The Army cut corners and skipped tests altogether on seven body armor contracts, a DoD IG report released August 1 said.
Army spokesman Matthew Hickman said on Wednesday that the report never concluded that safety of soldiers wearing the body armor was at issue.
"I think when you first hear about it you think, holy moley, the Army's providing body armor to soldiers that can't even stop a bullet. And that's just not the case," Hickman said.
"If you read it it says this isn't an issue of safety it's more of an issue of testing procedures -- the report never actually questions the safety of the body armor," he said.
Congress requested the DoD IG's investigation of seven Army contracts worth a total of $2.5 billion dollars and awarded between 2004 and 2006.
"The Army cannot be sure that the appropriate level of protection has been achieved," Deputy Assistant Inspector General Bruce Burton stated.
The results showed that ballistic testing and quality assurance for some 5 million body armor inserts did not have proper controls to ensure the inserts met the contract requirements.
The inserts are part of Interceptor Body Armor (IBA), a system of body armor that consists of an outer vest, ballistic inserts, and other parts that increase area of coverage, according to the DoD IG.
"IBA increases survivability by stopping or slowing bullets and fragments and reducing the number and severity of wounds," the report states.
Problems such as accepting invalid test results or failing to enforce humidity and temperature requirements, critical to troops using body armor in the deserts of Afghanistan and Iraq, were found with testing on all seven contracts.
But the DoD IG also noted that it could not conclude that the body armor's performance had been negatively impacted.
"Because we did not conduct any additional testing, we could not conclude that ballistic performance was adversely affected by inadequate testing and quality assurance," the report said.
The Army had already implemented recommended testing changes by the time the report was published, according to Hickman.
"The testing procedures are an ever-growing process, when the army identifies better ways to test body armor, changes are made," he said.
The report is the fourth in a series issued after Democratic Congressman Louise Slaughter of New York directly requested investigation into the Army's policy on body armor.
In 2008 the DoD IG concluded 13 body armor contracts did not have proper documentation. In response, the Army recalled 100 percent of the body armor identified by the DoD IG to put it through more rigorous testing, said Hickman.
Of the recalled equipment, 100 percent has passed with "maximum protection rates," he said.
The Army has spent roughly $10 million in recent years to upgrade existing facilities for research, development and testing for body armor, according to the DoD IG.
Six of the 13 body armor contracts were addressed in a DoD IG report in January, and the August report addresses the remaining seven.

I was in a hurry to leave for a Dr.s Apt. It was a reuters news release. Give me a few miniutes and if i can get a direct link, I will post it.
Jim
Just saw an Army news release that says there is nothing wrong with the armor they have.
I do not think the poster said the offering was filled. I think he said it would be good news if it were filled - I agree.
I have been asking for the company to respond to stockholders concern and have been asked to shut up.
Hmmm, I guess the purpose of this this board is for dreamers and pumpers only. Sorry, I cannot watch an investment be cut in half and not be concerned about what is going on.
My buy in price has been cut by 40%. The board has to know the concerns of the shareholders posting on this board. Their lack of concern or response is starting to smell bad. it can only make everyone wonder if there are major problems that are being kept from the public.
SOMEBODY SAY SOMTHING!
I for one would like to know if the production equipment has arrived. How about an update? When will the facility be ready to produce. I know they said four weeks, but how many times have we heard the same thing about the HIJ and the Skull and Crossbones?
