yes , I understand . I'll certainly be a interested party because I have a lot of Feb. 5 calls I'll want to roll into Mays .
regardless of volatility , if you already own Feb. calls the question is only how much premium is there to convert Febs to Mays .
What IBM Should Do
IBM is still rich. It’s market cap is somewhere in the range of a $160B (down from $240B in 2012). It has cash and other assets to leverage.
IBM should go on a buying spree, the kind that kids launch when they get too much money for their birthdays or graduation. Or when they’ve had too much to drink. Maybe that’s what it takes to get some Boards to act.

Doubled my position in $ANY @ $3.95. Way too much too fast on the downside. My contacts at distributors/resellers are excited about story.
I made money on both of the other two and I'm up 400 % on ANY . I
have trouble understanding some of the posters complaints about
HTFBS UNLESS they got in late . Who's fault is that ? I agree with you , only takes one to make a life changer .
Either way I hope earnings are good and look forward to the CC after .
The 13th is a Thursday so makes sense . They wouldn't do it on a Friday and the 15th is Saturday .

Brooklyn - thanks .
colmar - thanks , wonder why they thought they needed to delete the post ?
Who was the post by ? Thanks .
May options should be out around the first part of Sept. . At that time I'll roll my Feb. 5s into May 7.5s .
I totally agree which is why I think the Nov. calls and especially the May 2016 calls are in the sweet spot that we'll never see again . Not saying the stock won't do well after that but the hyper growth period in a stock like this is relatively short .
Microsoft (MSFT) Says 14M+ Machines Already Upgraded to Windows 10
Microsoft's (NASDAQ: MSFT) Yusuf Mehdi posted the following to the official Windows blog on Thursday...
This is the day for those who have extra cash and want cheap shares or option calls .
Isn't one of the wild cards though , the fed perhaps starting to raise interest rates ? Not saying it would start a bear market
but it could put pressure on the stock market ?
July 29 (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp launched its much-awaited Windows 10 operating system at midnight on Wednesday.
Windows 10, which comes almost three years after the launch of the company's last operating system, will be available in 190 countries as a free upgrade for users of Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8.1. (http://bit.ly/1LR49yp)
The 'free' strategy is a calculated gamble, designed to put Windows on as many devices as possible. The company would then make up for any lost revenue by selling services such as Office over the Internet, or cloud.
The new operating system is designed to work across laptops, desktop and smartphones and is part of Chief Executive Satya Nadella's push towards breaking Apple Inc and Google Inc's stranglehold in the mobile arena.

Full Stack Software vs No Stack Software - Legacy vs Cloud I say sacrifice nothing and do both! ;) @sphere3d http://techcrunch.com/2015/07/25/software-for-the-full-stack-era/#.faaojq:6Ek2 …
Brooklyn . The revenue with Microsoft just started two weeks ago . Until now it's been speculation but real revenues are just beginnings . If you can see your way clear , I'd give it until the earnings announcement in May . That would include the 4th quarter 2015 , the full year report 2015 and the first quarter of 2016 . What ever you decide I wish you good luck .
yes sir ! recurring revenues are the sweetest . I look forward to
articles like that with our name in it .
Huge spikes are what call options are made for .
AMD is in Austin which Microsoft was rumored to be considering .

Big Blue needs help .
Keep an eye on shares of International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) in Tuesday’s trading session. The technology giant released its second-quarter financial results after the closing bell Monday. For the second quarter, the company posted a profit of $3.84 a share to top Wall Street estimates by 6 cents a share. IBM raked in revenue of $20.8 billion, slightly below analysts' expectations, according to Thomson Reuters data. Big Blue posted another period of year over year revenue declines, marking its 13th straight quarter. Analysts are saying that this was not a blowout quarter, even amid the company's efforts to shed some of its unprofitable businesses. The technology company noted that currency impact hurt revenue significantly, by $2 billion in the period. Revenue losses from divestitures amid its effort to transform and adapt its businesses weighed on the company's financial results. Big Blue has been trying to shed its unprofitable hardware businesses. The company has plans to reorganize itself around the more promising growing markets including cloud computing, the Internet of things, and business analytics. TheStreet's Kurumi Fukushima reports in New York.
Wayne Gretzky's coach was asked how could Wayne be the greatest hockey player if he wasn't the fastest skater or the best stick man ? His coach answered " everyone skates to where the puck is and Wayne skates to where the puck is going to be " .
That's the game we're playing here .
It is what I was referencing and they do have a archive feature .
under new Chief Executive Satya Nadella, Microsoft is moving in fast-growing areas such as commercial cloud services with its Azure cloud platform. In the fiscal third quarter, Microsoft generated revenue in its commercial cloud division that grew 106% year over year, marking the seventh consecutive quarter of triple-digit growth.
Oh my ! what a update .
Peter , if you wife has shingles on her head , get her to a doctor now .
I want to hear what Mike has to say , but I don't see any text either .

From that article they charged the navy a huge amount of money . Wouldn't glassware be easier and cheaper ?
Please short more .
"....Ohhh, because you think all of the news and "partnerships" actually matter to the sp performance here. Yikes...."
Do I think Revenues from Microsoft are going to make a difference ? Well of course I do .
"....Too bad there aren't some excited BUYERS around...."
Stocks up about 80 % from the lows .
