So basically...you're saying...DUTV is doing the same exact thing hundreds of other companies have already done with their video content?

So what makes DUTV special other than the poor choice of the words "open source" that just seems to be thrown around as a buzz word for people who don't understand what it actually means...just curious.
Seems to be...lots of other familiar names there too...
Message board seems full of happy investors too...lol

Remember folks...do you DD...a lot of DD...because it paints a picture that isn't fun to look at.
Is the same phone number as Datone Inc and DT Communications
http://www.corporationwiki.com/New-York/Liverpool/datone-inc/58234151.aspx
There's some pretty familiar names there...lol
Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Go read up on the history of h264 and understand why Steve Jobs had that opinion instead of just copy/pasting links to editorial blogs.
Go read up on the minor HTML5 video backlash...
I dare you to find an article interviewing Ford's CEO where he compliments and promotes Chevy's product. Same idea...same thing...why would Steve Jobs promote a competitor?
Sure it can...rinse and repeat.
What has Thomas been up to? Is he still busy digging for that DUTV connection?
Google has WebM/VP8...why would they bid on a non-existent technology?
What else is in that crystal ball?
In the same aspect that ENTI parterned with VMIX, Brightcove, and JayCut...
Smoke and mirrors...lots of smoke and even more mirrors...pretty neat, isn't it?
I've done plenty enough DD...I understand the market and "technology"...do you?
Briggsy, I can't PM but...yes.
That was obvious since day one. Hope no one gets stuck...because that wouldn't be fun for anyone except the company.
I've provided facts regarding the technology this company is attempting to tout...
I urge you to go read up on MPEG4, WebM, VP8, h264 and the myriad of other video compression formats...
DUTV has provided no information, demos or anything else beyond words in a PR...the "demo" on their webpage is from a 3rd party website that has nothing to do with DUTV...please, contact them and find out for yourself...
I have a very good understanding of video compression and it's underlying architecture...and DUTV isn't making any sense...
Sorry if you don't agree with me...but that's just the way it is...
Best of luck to you...
...all have nothing to do with DUTV
Just you wait till DUTV does the impossible...DUTV boxes in every home saving ISPs petabytes of bandwidth by bending reality and re-sculpting the way we envision MPEG-4 today! Aaaaamaaazzzzinggg!
Just you wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...and wait...next month the internet will be changed by imagination and words...
It's MAJOR! Must be massive! Tony said so!
How do we know it's impressive when no one has seen it?
DUTV has yet to demo their product or technology. They have yet to display anything related to their product beyond a PR.
It is not possible to compress true high definition 720P video into a 1mbps steam...or even a 1MB/s stream...even if it carried no audio. It's just the way things work...we're talking about 25 1280x720px images a second...do the math...nothing adds up.
Sure, you can compress the crap out of the stream until it becomes a lossy mess and carries less detail as your standard 1990's over the air television broadcast...but that's not what this 'technology' and 'product' says it does...
So...how do we know how awesome it is? All DUTV has is embedded video from some 3rd party website they have nothing to do with.
Who'd a thunk it.
Amazing what you can find when you read the fine print. Amazing what is ignored with selective eyes and ears.
DUTV doesn't have a product...
Imaginary products are the cat's meow!
No one has because it doesn't exist...the only "demo" available is poor quality embedded video linked from http://www.icblivetv.com/ which isn't a DUTV product/technology/magical unicorn...
Feel free to contact http://www.icblivetv.com/ to confirm...
Comparing DUTV to YouTube when no one has any idea what the product even is...is comical.
We don't know what it really is, how it works...we just know that it's magical and people will flock to it...and advertising! It will blow our minds...once we figure out what it actually is...
Use what? Does anyone know what the product actually is beyond what the super hype-sational PR said?
DUTV has yet to demo their "product" beyond what was said in the PR...
The only product DUTV has showcased so far is http://www.icblivetv.com/ and they have no connection to DUTV.
Please explain what sets this "product" apart from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_video_services
Please explain how DUTV's "technology" has improved upon h264/MPEG4? In case you don't know what I am referring to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC
Please explain how DUTV's "technology" is better than VP8 and/or WebM? In case you don't know what I am referring to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VP8 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebM
What makes DUTV's "technology" superior to any of the codecs listed here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_video_codecs#Codecs_list
Just curious.
I know how it works. It's pretty neat.
Go do some DD beyond watching Level2...read up on what DUTV is touting as their own, go look at other companies websites who are in the same industry, I urge you to do your own research...knowledge is power.
Wasn't aware that web1.0 garbage is a "extremely high-end and professionally done site"...
Wasn't aware that using @gmail.com for your "extremely high-end and professionally done site" is "professional"...
Wasn't aware that embedding videos from a website that has nothing to do with DUTV and claiming them as their own product is "extremely high-end and professional"...
What are you talking about?
That's pretty neat too.
You know what else is pretty neat? Everything related to SREH/ENTI/EUOT/DUTV. They're all related. :)
There never was a demo. The only thing DUTV has is embedded video from http://www.icblivetv.com/. I urge you to contact http://www.icblivetv.com/ and ask them what their relationship is with DUTV.
"The New Last Mile" yeah...just like the umpteen other IPTV services and channels that already exist...except the ones that already exist actually have a product...DUTV just has embedded video from http://www.icblivetv.com/.
Really curious how they were able to improve upon h.264/MPEG-4...
Really curious why they aren't showcasing their 'technology' on their dated website. I never understood why a company that specializes in 'new technology' has such a lackluster website and @gmail email addresses...
Really curious about a lot of things...like when the dumping of shares starts and if DUTV even understands what IPTV is.
Really curious what makes DUTV's "product" different from the rest: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_video_services
Heard the "WILL NOT BELIEVE THEIR EYES" stuff before...and I'm still waiting...so far the only thing I can't believe is DUTV trying to pass icblivetv.com's embedded video off as their 'technology'...
Pretty neat.
Until they can demo the technology...it's just vaporware. What they have currently as "Watch DUTV" on their webpage is just embedded video from http://www.icblivetv.com/.
If DUTV is tied to ENTI, SREH, or EUOT...then I have very high doubts of anything that is said until they can prove otherwise.
He lied. He lied about a lot of things. He lied directly to me on the phone several times. He lied via e-mail. He's a liar.
A few of the pod-casts are here: http://usr.imgdp.com/tony/
I forgot, all past occurrences of anything are null and void with any of these companies once the volume hits 9 digits.
SREH, ENTI, EUOT and PTEL all have something in common with DUTV...for anyone investing to ignore those...is just silly in my opinion.
Good luck to you, lol
No one is short...read the past PR...and then look at the company who has 'major skin' in this DUTV "game"...
So...this company's products consist of only ideas, images and words? Trying to get a grasp around what DUTV actually does outside of sell shares.
Does this company even have a product?

Glad we have a lot of 'skin' in this "game"...
Here's your "demo"...

You think they would of pulled the embedded video from http://www.icblivetv.com/ off their website...since that's not their 'technology'...before pr'ing that "news"...you also think they would of posted that PR on their website...
also confused why a company that develops technology is using a plain-jane @gmail address...seems like something very simple to present a higher level of 'professionalism'...
So...it doesn't bother anyone that DUTV's website is just embedding video from http://www.icblivetv.com/ and has yet to showcase any of their own products?
http://www.icblivetv.com/
...I contacted ICBLIVETV a few months ago and they made it quite clear they have nothing to do with "DUTV".
Food for thought.
..."first"?
Not really...
Here's a few examples...
http://www.roku.com/roku-channel-store#9
I hold quite a few shares of the mentioned company that everyone turns a blind eye to. I'm very aware of what has occurred, what is occurring and I can probably predict what is going to happen, heh.
A lot of us are on the same page...it's a pretty ugly. You're not alone...
Puzzles me how some can remain so optimistic after everything that has been done...it's almost amazing.
xcountry, I can't PM but to answer your question. Yes I did check the code and I saw it's flaws...but twice we were told that the website was being redone, so, as said, I gave ENTI the benefit of the doubt since both times the site was taken down for an extensive amount of time...but, surprise surprise, when it came back up...same ol' MMX with new paint, and not even good paint. There were issues that any graphic designer/developer/moron wouldn't let slide out the door without fixing...things as simple as text and frame alignment.
The website has never been revamped, it's just been re-skinned...the underlying code remains the exact same from when MMX used to be FilmRookie while ENTI still owned it quite a few years back.
The reason the website's code, the portion that makes it actually function, hasn't changed is because it's a closed source engine. The companies ENTI has contracted to work on it can only do so much with it because they don't have access or the ability to de-compile the code to make actual changes, crucial changes...changes that matter.
To put it in layman's terms...it's like trying to make a broom a vacuum. You can dress the broom up like a vacuum...but under the skin, the broom is still a broom.
...or like trying to make a Pontiac Fiero a Lamborghini, you can change the body...but it's still a Pontiac under the fiberglass.
