Before you make predictions wait and watch them start to happen. With oil up and down, if you are right, great. And I hope you are.
Actually, more importantly, we have all been asking for news. The company gave us an update.
Do you trust the update to be a true and valid representation of the situation and a prediction of
good things to come? If so then you need to support the company, if you can. Buy some shares, you
will never get them this low again I bet. I bought another 10,000 so far. Gonna keep trying to push the price up and empty out these low ballers.
I don't know about you all, but I am buying what I can at this price.
Well, we have all been asking for an update, and we got one. The good thing is it says what we suspected and then some. First that the energy market collapsed and they put things on hold. Second that the energy market is recovering and they are now moving forward. Second that the rebels in Columbia make a difference but that they soon will be at peace. And third and most important, they still believe in their long range goal enough that they will do a stock buy back as long as the price stays this low. I think this bodes well for at least 50 cents by year's end if not 75 cents.
The under cuts are getting smaller and smaller in volume. I think we have finally broken through the cheap stock owners.
Pros and Cons. posting an update could conceivably interfere with ongoing negotiations. On the flip side, can it interfere any more than single digit penny pricing? Revealing plans with pricing this low may allow a company to try a cheap buyout. On the flip side, if they were honest in their reveal, most would not sell, instead being patient and would want to buy more shares, competing with the hostile buyers. Bottom line is in my opinion the company loses good will by doing nothing, and while that may mean nothing now, down the road let's say they want to do an expansion with warrants rather than debt it may be harder with a history of being a secretive board. Certainly a secretive board is better than one that dilutes but how much better? We will find out. The market is turning, at least energy. I believe if the stock has not turned by end of year it may find itself as a true penny stock. On the other hand any move upwards, or beginning of buying pressure may shoot this back up to sub dollar realm. Just not sure.
Only problem with those statements is that the price of oil is already $49 hitting near $50 and should soon top that. Anything that is going to happen should be gearing up and should be announced very soon if it is going to happen. So let's hope something is announced soon, probably in the next month or so.
Did I see a bunch of sell orders come off, low and high? I wonder if something is about to finally happen?
Anyone know or hear anything? Maybe something is finally happening! GLTA
Yesterday I said let's be honest and realistic. Well, today we finally see some light at the end of the tunnel. I vacillate between positive and negative based on what I see as the factors influencing the market. Today there are a couple of interesting factors. First, Oil and Gas are recovering, prices are rising. That is good news for this company, in many ways. Second, Venezuela is in disarray and most likely will finally go through upheaval to become a democracy or a Republic again. That is great news for this company. The Venezuelan oil and gas will be disrupted some for a year or so, which means increased opportunity for this company. So what has to happen? IAHL and Altenesol have to act and fast. If we see news of construction beginning or revision of long range planning that takes in to account the changes occurring within the next few weeks then we will see this stock begin a climb that won't stop until we change exchanges. Either you believe that the company has smart people working there or you don't. If you do, then now is the time to climb back on the train if you had jumped off. The stock is not going any lower. It is about to start a real nice climb, strap in.
Let's all be honest at least. The endless selling is because of no news, people buy when news comes out and then when nothing confirms their expectations they cut and run. It is human nature. It takes so little to hold the stock at price. As to cheap shares, the average sale price has actually been 40 cents for the last 1 million shares, for a stock that started at 2 cents that isn't so bad. It will take news to move it, but there won't be much resistance, most will buy back in with just a little prompting. Most who bought believed in the possibility of the project, it was the long delay that scared them. Then as people sold and the company said nothing to try to stop it people became frightened I am sure. All it will take is some reassuring words or a good release and they will be buying back in in the hopes of earning a good return.
The reason why updates make a difference is that right now the actual value of this stock is only 2 cents.
If no one sells, the value is still based on the bid, not the ask, in the case of a pink sheet stock. Did bad prices in the energy market hurt the stock, of course. Can they recover, of course. With no news they will not recover, even if energy prices go up, unless there is something in the works. We all presume the plant(s) are going to be built, and possibly even soon. There is a delay, that is obvious, why? We don't know, but corporate does. Now let's take it from their side. Maybe there is a reason to be closed mouthed. IF so, when did that start, and when will it end? My best guess would be that the longest you could give a company is a year, after that it is probably malarkey. From my viewpoint, with a bunch of shares I would never sell at less than 4-5 times my money on a penny, and that means 60-80 cents. So I can bitch and moan all I like, it doesn't matter, patience is a virtue. It will be a year in October. At the end of October I might start worrying about what I did, but until those 50 days from now, I will be patient. Even then, I would probably wait and see what happens if Trump wins. That may make a big difference, positive, not negative. So keep the faith , watch and wait, it may well explode under your very nose.
I am a strong supporter and buy when I can, but we are at a point where all the previous news except one story have dropped off. I presume something is going on, a company can't sit around in a vacuum and do nothing, even in a down energy market. One of the other reasons I don't sell is I still believe we are a multi-dollar company at least, and selling at 20 cents just irks my craw. My minimum would be 60-70 cents. And the fact that there are buyers is obvious, the fact that there are sellers stupid enough not to be patient for the 30-40 cents that I bet the buyers would go up to is frustrating to watch.
While I too believe they should release news, there is important information that is being totally ignored.
In the last few months, thousands of shares have been dumped, but more importantly, there are plenty of buyers for those shares. That they are too impatient to wait for a better price is their bad luck or stupidity, but did you not notice 50,000 shares on the bid. There is a lot going on in the background I would bet or you would see only a few hundred shares on the bid, but 50,000 on the bid. If the sellers realized that and stopped selling we would be in the 30's pretty quick, if not the 40's. The price of this stock right now without anything should be 50 cents, once any project starts, then it can be valued on the project.
As I see it, the potential remains. When remains a question, there may be a reason it is being held close to the vest. Either way, there will be those who sell out, as long as there are sellers the buyers will not raise their price. The price should be about 35-45 cents but while people sell at bid and are impatient, the price will be low. My advice, unless you doubt the project, in which case, sell out now, hold, don't give in to pressure. If you sold and have some cash, start buying at these low numbers.
I picked up some. Cheap cheap. But of course, 8 months since last news. I realize gas market is depressed but without any activity that the stockholders can see many will jump ship and go elsewhere.
Especially with the fear that the market could tank at any time. I see it possibly soaring once Trump gets the nod so that's why I am still holding.
Or until news raises the value to where it becomes silly to sell.
Till what, some idiot sells at bid again and drops the price. Until that stops you can bet this stock remains in the basement, that or some kind of news that will really make it soar.
Normally I defend people who want to sell some shares at the ask. But if you can't see what is happening you sellers are fools. Some one knows something big is about to go down. So he puts a BIG number at the ask scaring away buyers and also scaring some people in to selling. I have no idea what is coming but he or she has effectively blocked the price at below 25 cents, so that they can keep accumulating stock at a relatively cheap price. It is a shame there isn't a buyer with some balls who would just buy through him or her.
I think that is a very wise post. Those of us who bought in at under 20 cents and expect at least $2 will hang out a while longer despite no updates. Those who bought in at 40-50 cents when it last started moving up, and believe the best they will do is 3-4 times their money will sell out at these prices and go to other options because of no updates, thinking they can do better. All I can say is good riddance, more stock for those who are loyal. But they do drag down the price in the meantime. Updates would certainly reverse that trend, there must be a reason they are not forthcoming, perhaps the other side wants nothing released until all is finalized, who knows, but patience is a virtue, not an easy one, but one none the less.
Oops, forgot to mention it won't be at this low bid but at a more realistic price.
I will sell a little of mine, but not through the exchange. I will never sell where it hurts our stock.
Do have some shares I will sell every so often since I bought at 2 cents, but only if you are looking to
hold, not to short timers.
I know there are of a lot of us longs who continue to hold, and will do so, come hell or high water.
And we can only hope they will continue to move forward as they have done, slowly but surely.
But let's not be deceiving ourselves or we sound like fools. There may be a million valid reasons for
the delay in financing and moving forward at this time, but to an outsider it just looks like a project that
can't get off the ground. Especially in these uncertain times there are many who will jump in, if the
investment does well within 30-60 days , they stay, if not, they will even take some losses to move elsewhere. That doesn't make our project no good, it just isn't a fit for these short term people. And
some of us may buy some of their shares nice and cheap, and some new short tremors may buy their shares, and 30 days from now if we still haven't started moving again and releasing news those people will jump out. I would certainly not jump out or sell short at this time, I think their is too much positive
news and too many positive indicators to jump ship, if you are a patient person. But this is not a 1, a 2, or even a 5 year stock investment, probably more likely a 10 year investment (I think I am at year 8).
It has been 4 months since the last news. You can understand people losing hope, I know many of us
look at the upside as just too good to risk getting out and not waiting, but some may be willing to jump ship. It hurts but I do understand. Wish they had more faith, I also wish the company would even put out a little update letting us know what is going on. But if wishes were nickels I would be a millionaire already.
I hope people don't think I am being down on the stock. I am just responding to those commenting on the low price. I think this stock still has huge upside potential. And it will be explosive, so if you aren't in, you may not get in at pennies, it may be dollars.
I will say this over and over. I will hold this stock through thick and thin but until they release news
it is going to stay in the basement. They only time it climbs out is when they release information.
I have been in the market for 40 years and the same thing moves prices, knowledge and predictability.
When you release news that promises results in 30 days and results don't occur, the price will drop.
If you promise results in 30 days and deliver in 29 you will soar even on mediocre news just because you beat the expectation. The market has expected more news for the last 2-3 months. When it comes, and it will, it will go up, but if they follow up quickly with more news they could even break out. If you disagree let me know.
I am one of the longs as well. I have been around for a long time.
But I do understand people getting out, even at 20 cents.
If the last press release, now many months ago, said everything is completed,
you expect that groundbreaking follows shortly. After 2, 3, 4 weeks the company creates
doubt on the part of the investors as to whether there is an issue in bringing it all to fruition.
Now the issue may be as simple as renegotiating loans due to drop in gas prices or may be
the fact that it is Columbia, not the US. But US investors like knowledge and stability.
All I can say is good riddance. Presumably it can't be too much longer and those who have hung
out will be rewarded. But usually news comes only weeks apart and projects get done much quicker.
The great thing is that everything they have said they would do (except the aircraft company) And that really
wasn't their fault. I think this is the year. How about we keep buying all the low shares up, and see what happens.
Anybody hear anything? Know anything?
I guess not. I was hoping any day now we would see an announcement and all these sellers would be sorry. But alas, nothing so far and we keep seeing sellers and I guess buyers, but we won't really move up big time until they break ground, will we? But all it will take is one shovel full. Well here's hoping it isn't too much longer. Good luck to all longs, and bad luck to you shorts, lol.
So we ended on an up move. Maybe a good sign for this week. Maybe this is the week they
finalize the financing and begin construction. Then it is only a matter of time until we are off to the
races. I would rather be a buyer right now than a seller.
Unfortunately it is not rocket science. There are those of us who are willing to wait and have faith, based on what has been over the last few years as oppose to before the new guys took over, and there are those who are in it just for the play. In that case sell now and watch for it to go down more, cause without any news, it will continue to go down a bit more. The folly is that the sellers are also the ones who will buy it back from the panickers when it goes down a bit more, they are just playing. They know that in the long run this stock has potential, even in a down market, even in a down oil market. So the better you hold, the better it is.
Anybody hear anything or any rumors? It is a new year, let's start it with some big news.
I am sure they are finishing up the posting???
But as soon as they do post news it will stop these low ball sells.
I was chastised by a friend that my message was negative. I thought it was just being honest.
I believe unfortunately there are many out there who take advantage of the interval between releases
and play on people's fears that this company is like so many others. They have shown themselves to
be different but people look at other companies and presume this one is like all others.
Like I said, as soon as they break ground, announce a completion date, and make progress towards
that I believe nothing can hold the stock back. But until then the MM's can play on people's fears.
If everyone didn't sell or didn't try to undercut the ask, the stock would still move up, but instead we have people selling at 38 when the stock is moving up to 44, just to be sure they sell? To what end?
Well, like so many others I look forward to the day when this is all behind us and it is a company producing gas and profit.
Well as much as I would like to blame it on sellers too, the company announced all permits obtained over 30 days ago and yet has not announced groundbreaking yet. Many of us will be patient but many will not. I have to give the devil his due, if you told me that you got all your permits but didn't start my next thought is why not? We who have watched saw previous news that says they have the funds but someone may wonder. I think once they finally break ground and start the stock starts moving up much better.
Because they sell 10,000 cheap and buy much more cheaply
But I could have predicted it. The last few days the ask has dribbled down by a hundredth or two. That is all it takes to undo all that good work. I know they will have more good news and maybe even soon, but it will be an uphill battle each time if they can't produce positive results closer together. Ultimately it will all come together but those of us out there spouting their praises look stupid if it is 3 or 5 moths between positive reports.
I just re-read the news release from the 16th. Am I the only one who noticed the intent to up list to a real exchange? This stock by definition will double in less than a year. Tell me where else you can make 100% on
your money in 1 year! This stock should be at 70-90 cents already, I am amazed it isn't. But what do I know
maybe they know better. Maybe until they actually up list they aren't worth more than 50 cents? Come on, we all know that is wrong, this stock, despite still being a penny stock, a pink sheet stock, is the most undervalued
stock out there, in mho.
They are selling because the stock will probably get to about 65-75 cents by year's end and stay there until they uplist next year. These people most likely need to limit their gain and are thrilled with the performance so far. They are fools, but you can't teach fools. The probable price of $3-5 by next year's end is worth the extra taxes in my opinion.
Some one selling $32 worth in hopes of scaring up $2000 worth at below market value. If you fall for it you are verrrrrry stuuuuuuupiiiid.
There will always be those who try to scare people in to lowering their ask. In fact, if you notice, the ploy
worked. The ask had been crowded at 51 cents, and after the bid whack it dropped to 50 cents. It doesn't mean much but if you talk 100,000 shares it means $1,000. I can sort of understand if you have held this long thinking, Great! It is moving, let me get my profit and get out. But let me warn you, you will kick yourself. And not in 10 years, but probably in just a few short months. I have said that I have honestly been one of those impatient people, but not now. Why? They have all their permits! They have all their contracts! What more can we ask for?
