Please accept my most humble of apologies Barrymore.
I have learned in my life that the really capable people don't ever TALK about what they can do, they just do it. I have read for months now about how much you can do for or against this stock. I for one would love to SEE what you can do rather than READ about what you can do. Just do it and shut up why don't you.
PSB, you haven't said near as bad as the rest of us have after biting our nails awaiting a 10Q with substance, only to get a cut and paste version of the previous one. I/we have been so frustrated and vented here many times, only to settle in and hunker down and keep digging for any nugget of info we could collectively find while we await the, hopefully, inevitable. I understand your position since I myself spent over a year digging until I found this board, and found that everything I had found plus much much more was here. It seems like everything I find and get ready to post gets posted by someone else first. It seems like someone, somewhere is watching this thing 24/7. And I also many times grew tired of the endless speculation, only to get another cut and paste 10Q. I have decided that this will be a small price to pay once our ship comes in. You know what the rest of us know, watch the management, and they are world class. Hang in there, the rewards are coming. And oh yeah...I now own 25k, which is a mere drop in the bucket compared to the rest of you, but enough to retire on once we blast off.
ION25K
Maybe it is waiting on my deposit at ameritrade to settle so I can get a few more before it SKYROCKETS.
I caught a show the other day, part of which discussed thin film solar panels. The guy was holding a peice about four foot by one foot or so. It was very flexible and was very similar to a comparable piece of roof flashing, only much more flexible. Very interesting to see it on tv and see that there was actually an interest out there. It made what we are dealing with here seem real finally. I wonder, couldn't tetrapods be placed into the paint on a car and used to power it?
Admittedly Dr. Bob's computer experience is one of my attractions to him. As a programmer with experience working on Sun equipment and operating systems I feel as though I have something in common with him. That said, I would not consider him extraordinary because of his affiliation with Sun, but he has a laundry list of credentials otherwise that speak for themselves. He was not there when I made my investment originally, he is just icing on the cake so to speak. So he, along with the rest of the team that Squires assembled, including Squires himself has my seal of approval. I will stay with them until the outcome is realized whatever it may be. I made this investment with my eyes open, and may vent at a 10Q, but not sell.
I understand the concern that some have, just remember how those of us that have watched the 10Q's for a couple of years have vented each time they sounded like another cut and paste from the previous one. We vent and gripe, then PV19, DmcD5 and IH8 come along and remind us of why we are here and we rethink why we are here and hunker down and hang in there till the next one. One of the things that kept me in before i found this board is the management team. This has been brought up by others here as well. I have read articles by institutional investors who advocate looking very hard at the profiles of the management team before risking their money. They actually go on site and get to know the people face to face before investing with them. If it is that important for the big boys then it will work for me. After all, life is relative, we look to the profile of leadership in determining our faith in anything we do. We are always impressed with and ready to follow a seasoned leader, and look out of the corner of our eyes at the unproven newby. I am sitting here thinking about the character Clint Eastwood played in Heartbreak Ridge, versus the silly new LT. that was in charge of the platoon. You get a much warmer feeling with the Gunny because you trust his experience and capability over the untested one. I can read and I am convinced that this is a world class group that are in this thing to win, and will work hard to mantain their reputations, and if their past success is any indication, and it certainly is, then they should succeed in this endeavor as well. If not, well that is why there are no guarantees in the market. I always advise what I have always heard, don't invest money that you can't afford to lose.
Real estate happens to be one of our needs, such as property and production plant.
Thank you D5,
I apealed to you and P19 as the moderaters, while realizing that P19 seems to have a cozy relationship with FG. I was unaware of your position with respect to this subject, but we are in agreement. I did my own DD for over a year before making this board my exclusive source for news on QTMM. Not that I don't want to do my own, but I found that as soon as I would find news of any kind, I could find it here as well, so why continue to duplicate my efforts? I tune in to the stock quotes, then come here for updtes or comments, but lately I have to wade through more nonsense than meaningful information. Before I vacated the site I thought to apeal for some reason.
P19 and DMC5, I was under the impression that this was an investor's site, not a liberal activist's sounding board. I am as politicaly opinionated as the next guy, and a capitalist by the way, but I don't thrust my beliefs at everyone here, and don't appreciate having it done to me. I come here for information about an investment, a capitalist tool, not to be harassed by the rantings of someone who makes it obvious that he hates my country and its financial system, and even threw religion into the latest assault. I responded this way to one of his previous posts and all were removed within minutes. since you allow his rantings, I ask that you allow mine, kind of like "equal time." I have found enough posts from IH8 around the internet to know that this isn't the only dance in town, so since I have had enough of being insulted politically at this site, I will find another.
Thank You!!
I lose my patience with every 10Q that states that they have no investors of note and may not remain viable. Then i sit back and reconsider who they have in management and read all of the postings and cool down and hang on for another quarter. Just looking forward to the day when the 10Q says what it is supposed to say. just got to speak it when I feel it. Supposed to duck when the bullets fly, and bitch a bit, but then you got to get back into the fight.
Yeah, I am also sticking it out, but I don't have to be happy about the way we get pumped up time after time only to read a copied and paisted 10Q from quarters past, and late at that. If WE think they are so good and ready to blast off, why don't they get the interest and attention from those who really matter. I am so sick of getting up for news and 10Qs only to have to vent when we don't get anything of substance. Then spend three months reading conjecture about what is coming next time. Then next quarter comes and...
And stealth? I am so sick of that word. They need to man up and put something of substance out here.
Yes dear, as a matter of fact I do feel better, and would have felt a lot better with a few four letter words in the mix.
I find it odd that they can't get a running copy of old 10q's out on time. Highly disappointing, as usual.
I tried to change the ticker symbol in my "positions" watch list at TDA and had to ask for help. The rep told me the changes would take place automatically. I ask when I might expect this to happen and she said at shift change (???). Something tells me she really didn't know. I added QTMM to the list but it won't show my historical data, only the sales data. Really nice volume today though.
I take a week of R&R in the hospital and come back and so many changes. Barrymore, I look forward to your shared wisdom, so don't be taking your marbles back home just yet. I think you handle the doubters pretty well. I have their same questions about different things getting posted on the board, time will tell all. I look forward to your pearls of wisdom. Good good news overall for us though, isn't it?
So you are saying that there is no reason for excitement here, but what exactly do you mean by 1203? A new PR nor a new board member is reason for excitement?
This PR has been picked up all over the place. Bob Glass is an important fella. Could this be the day we have waited for?
The old/new news made it into CNN.

so Squires just announced us to the world. And Lauren Milner just asked the world to give her a call.

My circle of friends are not investors, most are broke, although they will buy a good thing. They do not have the knowledge or stomach to do what we are doing, heck sometimes I am queasy. With that said, if they see me making money, then they will be ready to listen and learn. They will buy in, and when they make money, will tell others. If it is true that volume preceeds price, then we have a strong historical trend developing in our favor. If this could hit .50 or $1.00 this week or next, my modest friends would jump on it. I would be able to convince them to spend money that they really don't have, but can't really afford not to spend. They would be convinced that they will be riding a wave soon, hopefully really soon, and even if they only buy 100 shares, we will be accumulating buyers, and they will be improving their lot in life. The emotional buying would heat up in other words. Barrymore, if you and your friends can really move this stock, it will be a good thing for a lot of people at a time in history when it is needed so badly, and a really good thing for those of us who consider ourselves "investors." The side effect that would result is the stock attracting buyers based solely on the uptick, which would be like fuel on a fire. No telling where it would go. A pump without the dump. And immagine if we could get the intitutions interested, I bet Squires would return their communications.
Hey, don't stop at a buck.
I am sure I haven't set any records, but I bought mine in Feb. 09. After many months it was a lonely time trying to mine information to justify staying in until I ran across this board.
In an effort to learn I must show my ignorance. 231,886 were sold today, but only 136,500 were bought. Where did the other 95,386 go?
MY EXIT POINT IS $200!!
Yep, get your valium ready when the promo and news do hit!
I suppose the spark behind all of this is anyone's guess?
I was not saying traded, but that there are 500k additional, extra, shares out since 1/1/10, which should be a good thing, especially when combined with the lack of a big selloff after the dismal 10q. The 10-q for q4-09 listed 77,040,000 shares roughly outstanding. The latest numbers on the daily snapshots are 77,540,000 roughly outstanding. That is good news to me to see 500k extra shares going out so far in q1-10. The next 10-q should show the increase in outstanding shares.
If I am reading the correct numbers, 500k shares have been aquired since 12/31/09. There is too much information to mine through for me, so I don't know who bought them all, or if these were all "issued" out, but they are being bought and or held by someone, and more than 130k traded the other day, which means that, even though someone bailed, someone else is still buying. The end result is that the outstanding shares are still increasing, and the big selloff after the miserable 10-q hasn't happened. And we wait.
It would be a good thing if the folks at Solterra realized all of this.
Yep, I paid attention and learned from the resident gurus. There is still plenty of reason to hold on.
I am not a support group kind of guy, but I have to admit that seeing others vent their steam, and being able to vent myself, then hear some good sense from our gurus helps me keep my head when I see things going nowhere fast.
There are probably more folks on this board than me looking at the three of you for information that ultimately helps them determine whether to stay in or get out. I realize that that can be a burden, but as I have stated before I spent more than a year looking up my own information, but then stumbled over this board and found not only what I spent all that time digging up, but much more. Prior to finding this board I was running on faith and logic, an oxymoron for sure, but I was convinced due to both that this was a good find. So I definitely pay attention now because you guys find more than I do, and know more than I do about the whole thing. I have to admit that I was so disapointed in the 10-Q that I was considering selling out this morning, but decided to wait and see what the three of you had to say, and you made sense as usual. I don't expect you or anyone else to tell the future, I know we may all lose our money, but many minds are better than one, and I am paying attention to every single post. I just put more stock (pun?) in some than others. I see that the selloff didn't happen today which is a good thing. I spout off my frustration just to get it off my chest, and then keep hanging in there.
PV, D5, I8, I look to you guys to provide the info that keeps me thinking right. I have the grit to hang on for the ride, I just don't have the knowledge it takes to decipher what little tidbits that are out there, especially when the news never gets better. I can read the 10-q, but sometimes need someone to offer another viewpoint. The one thing I found to hold onto was that the officers are working for free and with extended contracts. I can relate directly to that from my own experience. So you guys try to stay on the same sheet of music, and help the rest of us stay focused when the only news is not good news. I will not be selling today, unless I decide to ride the wave down to improve my position when I buy back at .05. I really hope that doesn't happen though.
I am suddenly feeling very taken.
It was very specific that they had no cash and no expectation of getting investors at this time. That was the HUGE letdown for me.
Don't forget the business axiom..."Hope is not a strategy." Do we also apply that to faith? In this case?
Folks, this feels like walking out or quitting on something, A VERY DISTASTEFUL THING FOR ME, because I have spent more than a year rationalizing ways and reasons to stick with this company. Until a month or so ago I was alone, then I ran across this board and felt, finally, bona fied. I finally found others who had found and believed in this company the same way that I had, alone, and having nothing more than faith. The problem with that is, when do you draw the line? WHEN DOES BEING A GOOD STEWARD OF YOUR MONEY MEAN DUMPING A LOSING PROPOSITION, or holding on against all odds?? I still want to believe in this company, but they are giving us NOTHING TO GO ON!!!!! I have watched while we waited, and waited, and waited, expressed emotions equal to cabin fever, while even jumping down each others' throats, simply because of a lack of communication from the company that we OWN, and should hear from on a regular basis. and we still have NOTHING of substance to justify holding on, except faith. Faith is the substance of things not hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. This is all I have left with this company and its officers. I don't know what to do next without divine guidance. I sure hope that God says something to me from one of you.
Maybe I am wrong, but it seems like they have a copy of an old tired worn out 10-Q that they re-file each quarter, after changing a few numbers. Maybe it is time that I changed some numbers.
Amen bro,
I bought Krispy Kream right after the IPO, and sold awhile later and made good money. I am in HGUE for only .092...
This is weird. Every post since 879 showed up as new today. although each retained its original date.
