Both Schwab and Wells Fargo posted the PR. The PR was distributed by both Reuters and Global Newswire; could there be a naked short criminal working at TD Ameritrade wanting to suppress good news?
How's that for a conspiracy theory?
gh
TD Ameritrade did not post the press release yesterday. I sent them a complaint on Monday. It still has not been posted; I sent them a more vociferous complaint today informing them that I have accounts elsewhere and to 'just post the DAMN news'. I encourage others with accounts there to see if the IPIX page has been updated, and if not, to complain.
I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, but strange things happen and there is no shortage of crooks on Wall Street.
gh
TD Ameritrade STILL does not show today's press release when I view the IPIX page!!!
gh
When I checked my TD Ameritrade account today I found no listing of today's press release. Is this a reason for the disappointing price action?
I sent them an email to complain; no response yet.
gh
Price action for IPIX is like compressing a spring; the right news will signal "LAUNCH". Get the cheapies while you can.
gh
I agree. This is not toxic; only potentially dilutive. Bashers put the toxicity spin into the minds of the uninformed investors who believe their BS.
gh
Thanks Petemantix,
It's encouraging to see that defensin-mimetics are progressing. It's sad that lack of funding has been holding back IPIX's progress for soooo long.
gh
I wonder if William F. "Bill" DeGrado, is an IPIX shareholder. Does anyone here know him?
gh
Does anyone know if any of the PolyMedix folks are investors in IPIX?
gh
Not just an inhaler, but a nebulizer to penetrate deeper into the lungs.
gh
In reply to:
I think an inhaler is the way to go. You are correct on this direction for IPIX. We should invest in a parallel trial with an inhaler version now as you suggest. Even if the longs have to suck it up for awhile longer.
I've said before, on this board and elsewhere, 'Brilacidin is the penicillin of the 21st Century.' Now I think that is an understatement.
gh
I agree JL101, Leo and his son deserve our thanks for the 'PolyHeist'.
I've said it before (and I don't claim originality), Brilacidin will be the Penicillin of the 21st Century!
gh
I want a face mask made with Brilacidin!
gh
EVERY drug that has shown that it is safe should be allowed for use; Let the best drugs win. This is BS having the bureaucrats picking drugs that are not proven effective just because their lobbyists buy so much influence. They are giving $Billions to their 'friends'.
gh
Some whippersnappers here might not get the 'Shinola' reference. Here's what Wikipedia says:
Shinola is a defunct American brand of shoe polish. ... It was popular during the first half of the 20th century and entered the American lexicon in the phrase, "You don't know sh*t from Shinola," meaning to be ignorant.
gh
The offer would have to be astronomical IMO. I would be disappointed at less than $30.00.
gh
Suppose a naked short seller was short 100.000 shares that he shorted at $.20. The stock goes up to $5.00 (in my dreams); the short seller has a heart attack and dies broke. Who is left holding his bag of crap?
gh
I just sent this email to the editor of my local newspaper:
"I'm upset with all the Zillions of dollars being spent on COVID-19 VACCINE research and the production of unproven, potentially dangerous products. Much better to spend more of that money on a cure or treatment, which is getting less attention. There is one drug, Brilacidin, which is owned by a tiny company.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brilacidin
They have had several highly successful Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials. They are such a small company, they can't afford a phase 3 trial. These were trials as an antibiotic and a high degree of safety was established.
https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?cond=&...&dist=
In recent government lab testing, it has been shown to have antiviral properties as well:

Disclosure: I am a shareholder of IPIX.
Please investigate, and feel free to share this with other reporters.

PS Brilacidin is the Penicillin of the 21st Century"
And what of those who suffer and die waiting for the mountains of red tape to be overcome?
gh
From Steve Forbes:
"But here’s the kicker: Unlike the FDA, Singapore asks only that a drug be proven to be safe, not whether it is actually efficacious. Singapore demonstrates that a medicine that doesn’t work as advertised will quickly fail in the marketplace. That was also true in the U.S. until FDA protocols were drastically changed decades ago. Amazingly, and counterintuitively, experience demonstrates that the do-no-harm approach adopted by those non-FDA agencies is as effective and far less costly than what we’ve been doing since the 1960s. The FDA’s immensely rigid, costly, elaborate and time-consuming methods have sent drug prices through the stratosphere, with no overall positive benefit. In fact, they’ve cost the lives of countless thousands of patients desperately waiting for life-saving medicines stuck in the FDA’s bureaucratic maw."

Karin,
Sorry that you're not feeling well; get well soon.
I look forward to the time when your doc would say, "no big deal, just take a Brilacidin tablet and call me in the morning" :)
gh
Always split aces and eights; never split fives or tens.
gh
We often hear of beneficial bacteria in the gut. Does anyone know of any good bacteria in the respiratory tract? Or of any beneficial virus anywhere?
gh
Other possibilities would be as an inhaled atomized drug as in asthma medications or a nasal spray. Wide vistas of life-saving and lucrative applications are on the horizon. It's a good time to be LONG!
gh
Bankruptcy can only occur when there is a debt that cannot be paid. Who do you submit holds such a debt?
Lots of us longs would like to know.
gh
No person or company can go bankrupt unless there is an unpayable debt that is due. That is why Leo chooses dilution rather than borrowing. Refer to PolyMedics. Biotech is usually slower than expected so debt with a due date is poisonous. As long he can dilute, Leo need not borrow. Quit paddling and pedaling BS. Since Leo is a major shareholder, he is on the side of the longs.
gh
Money saved is just the beginning; patient compliance is not an issue with a single dose, and convenience is important too.
Long and strong, picking up cheapies still.
gh
Our stock is heavily shorted. If the price soars and a 'naked' short seller is bankrupted, who is on the hook for the shares that he sold?
gh
This AM: bought more; voted FOR.
gh
You might have me confused with georgejji. :)

I just sent an email to several staff members of "Endpoints News" a pharma news journal:
I'd like to call to your attention the recent press release of IPIX, Innovation Pharmaceuticals, regarding their deal with the Italian pharma co., Alphasigma:
INNOVATION PHARMACEUTICALS ANNOUNCES LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH ALFASIGMA S.P.A. FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND COMMERCIALIZATION OF BRILACIDIN IN ULCERATIVE PROCTITIS/ULCERATIVE PROCTOSIGMOIDITIS
Brilacidin is been successful in several studies. I hope you will investigate and report about this promising development.
Disclosure: I am a shareholder of IPIX.
Thanks,
gh
Thanks 03,
That's the one I was thinking of. I have just emailed to the author:
I am a stockholder in Innovation Pharmaceuticals, formerly CTIX, a Beverly, MA company. You've written articles about them, and their struggles against short-sellers and fraudsters. IPIX has survived and has recently made a deal which seems to assure their progress. Would you please investigate and report on this development.
As an investor, I hope the wider dissemination of information will lead to a more fair valuation for this company.
Many of your readers may benefit from your efforts.
Thanks
Does anyone remember the local Massachusetts magazine that did a positive article about the company a couple of years ago? It might be good to get them on board, telling the general public of the new partnership deal.
gh
If one illegally shorts or lies in order to profit from the delay or denial of approval of our drugs, that greed is evil. It's not on the same scale as WWII, but evil is evil.
Each of us should evaluate the motivation of posters.
gh
What better timing could there be than for Leo to announce a Big Deal with Big Pharma tomorrow morning? On the 75th-anniversary of the D-Day invasion, when the forces of Good took such a major step against the forces of evil, IPIX could attack, in our own small way, the evil liars and fraudsters that seek to deny to the world the medicines we seek to advance.
gh
I owned EDAP years ago but bailed out when the FDA screwed us.
The FDA has relented and now I'm wondering if that allows for insurance reimbursement, and is that happening?
gh
Has brilacidin been shown to attack viral infections?
gh
Does anyone know who is allowed into the FDA meeting? Is it open to the public? Does IPIX invite guests? Is the date/time/place made public in advance?
gh
As a long-suffering long who read almost every post for several years, I hope that the shorts have finally stopped and realized that much more can be made on the long side.
GLTA Longs,
gh
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Aspire deal such that they are virtually assured of making a profit on each purchase unless they try to sell too quickly and drive the price down too fast?
