Today: Well, I had a not-so-nice day yesterday, so tried to make up for it today. Here are my plays if anyone has interest:
Bought DXPE and sold for $1.54 profit before commissions.
Bought August $5 calls for SGTL at $.40
Rebought DXPE near EOD for hopefully a run again tomorrow.
Holding IFO as a long right now. It had a super day today. It is scheduled to go from AMEX to Naz on 8/3, with earnings to be reported on 8/9. That AMEX Specialist has been very manipulative of the stock, so I think peeps are buying for better action on the Naz. What comes with that change are option chains, so you can play it later on with options for leverage if you decide to buy this one.
Holding CRME short, which I did too soon. However, this is still in trials, and it has completed day three of the run up, so it is due for a pull-back and back to reality. So, I will cover in due time.
There was a massachre in BIDU and ISRG after hours and a number of people got killed in those, so they bear watching tomorrow after getting pretty bashed up tonight. AMZN was a good short today, but couldn't do any more than I did today in the account without getting a margin call tomorrow. However, I think AMZN probably still has some downside. But, again, this one bears watching.
If there is no bad news for DXPE, it is a great trader FWIW. Of course, do your due.
BKS: Probable short early tomorrow....

ISIG: Picked up a few. Chart looks good on daily.

That IS stupid!
I put in a sell order for $1.40 and it got taken early. I didn't expect it to go over $1.50, but I scalped it for .32, so I'm happy. Not a bad day's pay.
nlightn: Here's a newer post on FHAL. I'm still not sure what this means.
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/060719/clw531.html?.v=25
Hmmmm...well think I need to see the MACD crossover and volume.
nlightn: Can you read this and decipher exactly what is supposed to be the final outcome. I don't know if this is a deal or a scam.
Here is the original merger PR for anyone who is interested. I
can't figure out if it's a steal, or a scam???

I got in over a buck...FHAL
Have not seen or heard anything on XWG, but just holding for some kind of PR...hopefully.
SRGG came back some near EOD here. Low was about .97
XXIA: Bought some in here. Chart looks like it may have bottomed, or close to it.
Gorilla Trades: Openhouse Special for next 7 days free.

QRUS: If you want to play an arbitrage, this is one. They will be splitting (reverse) 50:1. However any shares between 5000 and 100 will end up no less than 100 shares. If you purchase 100 shares for multiple accounts, you should benefit. Do the due.
SRGG: Canadian oil sands play. This had a big drop this a.m. Might be a nice entry.
TRLG: I hope some of you jumped on this bandwagon when I posted that DD last week or so. Doing very well...fingers crossed.
A broker I know (with a private brokerage) has been accumulating AUTO and did so on Friday. He has a pretty good track record. He has shared IFO and XWG as well. He was trading IFO back when it was zooming up, and now he is accumulating it down here as well. XWG is another one he is buying piece-meal.
Jagman: I've got AUTO on watch as well. Not sure it will fill that gap. Please post if you enter. I saw a couple of people who have had interest that started positions today, but even after they entered it fell a bit.
Here is the piece from Briefing.com this a.m. on TRLG:
8:57 ET True Religion: Moving ests to high-end of guidance for both rev and EPS - Morgan Keegan (TRLG)
16.87 :Morgan Keegan notes despite their revisions, they wouldn't be shocked to see actual results in excess of their revised ests. The firm believes consensus rev ests are too high for 3Q06 and too low for 4Q06.
The firm senses Japan has not improved. They are forecasting a 47% decline in 2Q06 revs (to [$]2.6 mln).
They view this EPS report as a positive for long-term TRLG shareholders in one of two ways. Either the stock reacts favorably to another strong qtr, or, shares stay range-bound as investors continue to focus on Japan.
TRLG: Doing well today. Briefing had something on it this a.m. It was a mixed bag....calling for a lower Q2 due to Japan difficulties; says Q3 lower than expected, but Q4 better than expected, etc. Morgan-Keegan
I got an alert on this one last week, but failed to play it. Just watching it now.
Not getting mine.
I agree. Really too bad. This company was worth more than what it is going for in my view. But, maybe they have a lot of money and it is just a spit in the ocean for them and glad to sell it. The sooner, the better. I can put that money to better use. I hope that is what is meant in that addendum. I am assuming it is a "done deal." I emailed the Platinum folks, but never received a response.
Today: While I am biding my time, I traded IFO four times today. Learning how to do this pretty well now. Got into XWG just a few minutes before the close and scalped .40 on that one. So, that is the plan for now. FDRA is still a LT. I may start trading some of it after the next run up. Great trader after I studied the pattern. Otherwise, I'm being very "unhitched" to these scalps. Just get in and get out as the chart moves. Works fine for me anyway.
Doubloon: Sorry about that. But...it hurt when I had to swallow those losses and that was a much bigger "ouch."
nlightn: re: OMNI. I think it is played out for now. As for TRLG, I would think the August options would be best. They need to get Q2 out of the way, and then we should see some good things happening. The second half of the year was stated on their last CC as predicted to be their best ever. They will have moved to new and larger HQ in Vernon, CA. A lot less taxes for them there. They have a new prez, who I understand is a real mover and shaker and charisma, which they needed. He will be on Q2 CC, which I suggest you listen to around August 1. Analysts are already charmed by him and he is familiar with them as well. CIBC just put out an outperform on them, so one more analyst in the mix. I can get that report to you if you want to see it. It is a bit long, but looks at the whole picture. I hear they just closed deals for two leases in Vegas - one in Caesar's and I think the other one is in the Forum, but only heard this third-hand. No announcement yet. Lots going on their. Growth is going well. They will have licensing in place by 2007 for accessories of all kinds. The new Prez is working very hard on all this. So, a growth company that is just about on the brink of getting over the hump here. They have a long way to go in their growth. Many plans going on. Also a new COO. New clothing items, and they are now considered a "brand" and not just a jeans maker or as some would say a "fad" company. So, that is what I know. A good one for LT in my opinion.
So, does this mean we get our money by the end of August?
Thanks Jagman. I suspect you are right. I will probably exit with a little loss come Wednesday. It sure looked good the way they were putting everything "out there." But, we've all been duped on some of our buys here...haven't we? CESV comes to mind; not to mention IDCO.
SUUB: Will have broadcast on the 6th if anyone has interest -
http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/060703/20060703005063.html?.v=1
Okay, thanks. I thought it was released AH.
That is the reason I didn't want to re-enter the stock. You never know with these things. We'll see how the stock acts when the market opens on Monday.
Indexes should ramp into the close. End of quarter window dressing plus indexes having to buy added companies.
That O/S is about right. I was figuring @ 45mil
I don't know how much of a "goodie" SUUB is, but definitely looks good long term. We'll see... I like what I have read anyway.
TRLG: The 17.25 held so that is key for this one. 200 crosses the 50. This one has a huge short interest. Once the squeeze gets stronger, this one will be the mother of all of thm.
nlightn: I added more. Have a good feeling about this one. Gut thingy...
SUUB.OB: Here's possibly next TRLG. May have already posted this. Tommy Lee pushing it and may own part of it. With all those concerts and the big following, and probably have these for sale in lobby areas. Thumbs up I think. Started position this a.m.
http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/060628/20060628005655.html?.v=1
Yes, think those options will do well.
