Co1-
Not sure where I stand on this one. I did a little research and the same guy writing the articles for TMF, Michael Vlaicu, is the President and CEO of MiV Investments, Inc. which is the company providing the strong buy recommendation on BEDA. I looked at BEDA's website. None of their annual reports come up giving a complete BS error about Acrobat Reader not being the correct version. You can tell this was programmed in on purpose. Plus, the address and phone don't match google maps, but there is a Bederra Corp listed.
What's your take? BEDA looks like our ugly kid sister!
VVV
TheMarketFinancial.com, the news portal which covers the latest Wall Street developments while delivering financial and investment intelligence to a community of highly informed investors, has issued a special independent research coverage on Bederra Corporation (PINK SHEETS: BEDA).
After being the subject of naked short selling by individual investors, institutions and market makers the last couple of months, Boderra Corporation looks to re-surface from current levels, as technical chart analysts place the stock on major focus for the next couple of days. On the brink of one of the most significant decisions the financial industry has seen in well over a decade, the newly implemented "uptick light" brings many newly founded opportunities to the investment community. "The days of naked short sellers borrowing shares from each other in order to pocket handsome profits by artificially decreasing prices are now becoming a thing of the past." noted Michael Vlaicu, President and CEO of MIV Investments Inc.
Extensive research was conducted, thus MIV Investments Inc. has initiated a strong Buy Rating with a short-term price target of $0.0026 for the company's stock, paired with the highest level of confidence. "Strategic location, profitable growth, high-growth market, and diversifying revenue streams all play key roles in making this one of the best plays of 2010." added Michael Vlaicu. "The company has been heavily shorted the last couple of months, making it very susceptible to a short squeeze once the buying pressure initiates."
It looks to me by viewing Michael Vlaicu's articles that it will be just that. An indepth article about the current state of CPRK. There are some video links in other articles, so it would be smart of CPRK to actually do a quick short video of the restarted operation and post it on YouTube so it can linked in this article.
I am wondering if they will also go on the Bill Chippas Show or if they haven't found that to be a great avenue for getting information out??
I am more excited for the shareholder NOTE that states both the mill is restarted and our rating is now "Pink Sheets (Current or Limited) Information"
I have no clue, I need to go back and look at FFF's post and look up the annoncement by MarketFinancial.com if they is one.
Just pinged CAM through Google IM, here's our conversation...
me: hey CAM
me: Several of us from iHUB have sent you emails the past couple days and haven't received a response. We are simply wondering if you are getting them? If you are too busy working on other things to respond, great, but I am just trying to confirm this isn't email problems.
Charles: Brian: I was out for a day or so and I am working on the answers for the interview with Marketfinancial.com right now...I'll get to all of them tonight and tomorrow....ALONG WITH A "NOTE" to shareholders...
me: That sounds great Charles. Sorry to bug you. Can you confirm with Yes/No if the interview along with NOTE to shareholders will be the vehicles used to announce the mill restart and PS compliance?
Charles: YES
me: Sorry, one more. Is there a confirmed date and time for the "interview"?
Have a great night Charles and thank you again for all you do!
Charles: Being called @ 5-5:15 today for the interview and I expect it will air sometime after that, but will confirm with everyone as soon as I know...
me: Awesome, kick ass!!!
That pretty much confirms to me that CAM is having email problems.
I sure hope he's working on some good news. If that's the case then I will forgive, but it seems to me like he's simply not getting them.
Who knows...week's more than half over...
I have never waited more than a couple hours. I wonder if he is having issues with his email. Most that responded to my same post yesterday said they had called...
Still no word from CM on my emails. I wonder why my emails are all of a sudden falling on deaf ears when plenty of other posters are communicating regularly???
Anyone talked to CM today or are we just going off of Mill Restart and PS Compliance at some point this week????
Wednesday's almost over...
I believe their are penalties for moisture issues. I think it's a penalty, not a rejection by the smelter. It probably comes down to copper percentages per ton, but I am not sure. I think Walt talks about the moisture issues in your video. I do remember him saying too dry would blow away, but I thought I also heard him say penaalties are enforced for moisture.
Co1, Rich, FFF, Ken, etc-
Assuming the moisture problem isn't as big of a deal in March as it is in the dead of winter, can any of you confirm for dent1 and all of us how long it takes from crusher to CuCon to produce a truckload?
Dear Ruby,
My advice would be to wait for the news regarding the restart and the PS compliance to hit the airwaves. There will be a significant run, but as always, a significant pull back due to profit taking. Ride through this part of the roller coaster with daily eyes, but wait to invest. Then, once we hear of shipments and actual cash flow, then I would buy.
My take is that CPRK has 1 and only 1 more shot at getting this right. There are simply too many people owed too much money to give this shot after shot. We are where we are due to a learning curve and how difficult it is to extract correct copper percentages from our ore volume. Lexion commented on that several times.
However, they are on the cusp of greatness if they hit this one out of the park and we have a 2-1 hitters count! The news should come out this week regarding the restart. I realize the cheapies are beyond tempting, but at this point I am glad TDAmeritrade is restricting my purchases because I have 3M shares already and emotion is a terrible investing strategy :).
Great luck to you and all LONGS in whatever we decide! CPRK is on the doorstep to proving the naysayers wrong!
Peace,
VVV
Have a great night all...I hope we have a PR or investor letter in the morning stating the MILL IS RESTARTED!!!
Great! That is a very positive start to #3. We just need to know that the ore has been crushed for the 4 necessary shifts to feed the restart of the mill.
CM has not responded to my question. Anyone hear from him today?
Not sure
Not sure if you are a victim
Not sure if your post will fall victim
Not sure what some poster's agendas are
Not sure when the mill will restart
Not sure if we'll be rich
Not sure when we'll be rich
Not sure I ever want to read another post
Not sure when CM will get back to me
Not sure if I am sure
Done! Will update everyone on CM's response, but please do what you can to help me out.
I want as bad as everyone to know when the mill is running so Ken can slowly move that bottle of champagne front and center!
Taking the Mill Restart point by point (correct me if I am wrong):
1) The parts were received - Yes, confirmed through CM
2) Parts were installed - Yes, confirmed through CM via Dave McMullin
3) Crusher needs to be run for 2 days, 2 shifts - Has anyone been able to confirm this?
4) Mill has officially been restarted?
5) CuCon has been produced?
6) CuCon has been tested and meets tentative LT buyer agreement?
7) CuCon shipped to smelter?
8) Payment received?
As far as I can tell, we are on step 3 of the process. Please help me work through these items one by one over the course of the next couple weeks. (RDG, if this is something we can continually update, will you sticky this so we can all work through it?)
Now is the time to get back to what has made this board an invaluable resource in the past...DD!!! Share what you know and ask CM and anyone else you talk to what we don't! Let's get a full account of where this stands and the possibility of us making CuCon by weeks end!
Thanks Sleep, you beat me too it.
For as much as everyone agrees that this board will not sway the pps, some sure feel that trying to persuade investors one way or another will do just that! Agreeing to disagree and dropping the subject entirely is the best course of action since everyone is entitled to their opinion and all we are doing is creating more uncertainty for investors researching CPRK.
So, let's focus on building positive energy towards this weeks announcement, publicly or not, that the mill was restarted. This is the only way we raise the funds necessary to pay off our debts and take a huge step forward as a company.
Here Here!!
Reg - I am asking this seriously. What does CPRK need to do to have you and your group drop the lawsuit? Are you looking for a payoff or are you looking for a payoff that could be eliminated by your stock exceeding the investment you have in CPRK? I am simply trying to understand your position. All LONGS seem to be down 80-90%.
Thanks,
VVV
Ok, thanks. Good to hear.
Didn't I hear at one point MD build a new house and got married? Any chance his house was paid off when built and is worth $7M? j/k
True-
Don't worry about chasing the pps and paying a premium due to your funds clearing at the "wrong" time. I have done this many times, e.g. my .026 purchase :(. Just feel great that you bought at 1/10th your current pps and calculate how far that will go to making you 100K's more :)!
I realize this roller coaster can suck in the short term when buying, but buying is part of being LONG.
Here's to your purchase feeling like the best no brainer investment you have ever made by weeks end!!!
Peace,
VVV
Regardless of how the pps swings, one thing is clear....VOLUME!!
Volume proves investors are aware of CPRK! 73.4M shares and counting...
Once the mill is restarted, more investors. When the stop sign is removed, millions of more potential investors will know about this little Milford Miracle!
Roller coaster is still taking riders...the question is how big is our roller coaster, when will the coaster crest the first hill, and how rough will the ride be for the last car????
Thanks for the 7 million share purchase whomever!! It will be very interesting to see how this early week buy pressure plays out.
We know we aren't out of the scope of big selloffs and profit taking given the number of shares sold sub .002. But, if we can stave off further dilution with the restart of the mill, the buy pressure should continue...
I also sent Charles an email, but with the same question. Thanks for the update m78!
It sure looks like the "shorts" aren't too convinced the mill restart won't significatly impair their short position. .002 and holding. But, we all know the end of the day is when the fireworks are shot off...should be an interesting finish today and one interesting week!
Come on CPRK, make it positively interesting!!!!
Sure would have been interesting to see which way CPRK management goes if the pumps don't freeze???
Do they continue producing high grade ore and become CFP, albeit limited output? Or, do they make the tough management decision to bring down a CFP operation to increase production and increase profits? Where would the pps be and how would this factor into their decision?
Who sculpted their decision...CPRK management's vision (laughable), LT buyer, STF/LTF, groundhog day?
Couldn't agree more Co1!
DJR - There were obvious design flaws and our past lead engineer lost his job due to his mistakes. Also, these flaws cost CPRK lots of headaches and money that furthered management's poor execution. Basically, this snowballed on them.
Blame who you want and what you want, but Co1 and myself aren't making excuses for CPRK. Co1 has invested countless hours in his DD and frankly, I am very glad we have him as an investor!
DJR-
Maybe Colorado1 can provide a schematic (visaul depiction) of the old vs. new design.
I am not 100% sure how the new tanks tie into the line, but it seems CPRK was not able to continue producing CuCon during the installation. It seems they would have needed quite a few additional parts to "bypass" the new tanks which are directly in line with the main process flow. The new tanks would have needed to be "in addition to" instead of "directly in line with". I think it would have taken them quite some time (maybe not 2 months) to install the "bypass" in order to capture the downtime missing production. This requires capital they didn't have and probably didn't make sense since the goal was to expand production capabilities and I do not think CPRK expects these tanks to be an issue in the future, which would have supported the addition of a "bypass".
Now, there are probably parts of the mill that could use a "bypass" in order to produce on a lower output level during repair, but I don't think the soaking/scavenger/floatation tanks are where that makes the most sense.
Also, I am not sure when the "interim LT buyer" agreement started, but they might not have had a buyer when they originally brought down the mill? Just a thought.
VVV
Nice! I wish TDAmeritrade would allow me to average down.
Are you slapping that ASK Ken?
Can someone please explain this to me:
As CopperKen alluded to yesterday right before close, he feels his last second purchase of 5K shares raised the pps .0001. Then, we have a 26% gain up to .0018 on 2M shares of volume this morning. It's back down to .0016 currently, but here's my question...
With so many outstanding shares, how in the heck can 2M shares move the pps that much? Isn't there a formula that keeps the pps within reason when the volume is not depicting the rise or fall of the pps? Or, is it all about what someone puts their purchase in for? e.g. People have been griping about these 5K share purchases. Say the bid/ask is .0015/.0016. Someone has a strategy to buy 5K at .0017, waits for it to fill and raise the ask, then puts in a buy at .0019, waits for it fill. If such small purchases are driving the bid/ask all over the place, couldn't the members of this board all get together and run up the pps to .005 if we were willing to buy on the way up? I realize this would be as much upward manipulation as the MM's are getting blamed for downward, but at least it would be positive.
This is all hypothetical I am simply trying to understand how the pps can move so much on low volume?
First off, I have always been a CPRK optimist because I don't want to waste precious life hours stewing with anger riden pessimism. Given that, I have always trusted that Charles doesn't have an agenda behind his communication and is telling us what he believes is true (I still believe he thought the Mill was running last month when he communicated that). The fact is, he gets (10's to 100's) of questions a day and doesn't have time to write hole free responses for the pessimistic "knit pickers". All we can do is trust our DD, our gut instinct, and Charles responses.
Now the point:
Since I am a believer, I have always found communicating with Charles is easy as long as you deflect your rebutting question and play the "rumor on the board" card. That is how I approach asking tough questions and he always seems to respond quickly and answers what he can. But, it helps that I am not challenging him personally, just removing the "rumors" from my CPRK risk scorecard.
I am glad Charles was steadfast in his response based on your question. To me, that signifies once CPRK is confident the mill is ready for restart, the entire process (starting with crushing) will be initialized. I agree that if you can't process the crushed ore, CPRK is only incurring costs and adding to the overwhelming debtload.
We'll see...
Thanks! If TDAmeritrade ever starts allowing it, will you please let me know. I want to load up my Roth IRA account to avoid the taxes, but can't...argh!!
Hey Rich,
I think the 2015 date referenced in the WSJ article is referring to global accounting standards, not the short selling rule voted on today.
Separately, the SEC is expected Wednesday to approve a statement saying it supports adopting global accounting standards for U.S. companies, but it won't seek early adoption.
The first time U.S. companies would report under such a system would be no earlier than 2015, according to a summary of the SEC statement. The commission is expected to decide by next year whether it will recommend such a transition.
Yakman,
I hate to keep asking, but I don't plan to clear money to buy more CPRK until TDAmeritrade allows it. I have to sell to raise the money. Have you tried recently? Have you called to test if a phone order works?
Thanks,
VVV
Something might be brewing...ASK .03!
I realize they can set it to whatever they want, but why that high? The iHub community isn't setting it or it would be $100.00.
Dave McMullin...thoughts?
From post 54951:
I am not sure who would be the most effective. It sounds like David McMullin would be the logical fit, but he is also supposed to be a "Senior-level executive with extensive finance and administration experience" (straight off the website). If he has been there every step of the way, he was fully aware of the accounting and financial spending issues MD has/had? He's on the BOD and heads two committee's, you think he could of put an end to these financial issues long before this result. But, if he's the right guy, then he's the right guy. But, we simply need a competent CEO who can get in there and secure LTF, lead a well oiled machine, and quit making mining decisions in lieu of business decisions!!!
What's the latest on TDAmeritrade? Anyone called them directly?
Farm - can you tell if this volume is primarily shares just changing MM hands and repositioning or are new buyers entering the market? What is NITE up to today?
Candy B, you rock!! Beautifully said! Everyone, trust the Queen B...I mean Candy B :)!
M78-
The only reason I agree with financing here is because I do believe they have a buyer but simply don't have the money to turn the mill back on. Even if we knew we had the mill dialed in, I still think our cash flow is so minute, we can't afford the correct chemicals to correctly process the ore, ship the ore, or pay the workers to do all the above. Until we get financing, I believe we are stuck.
IMO
