Be funny if this thing closed up at the end of the day.
Would have been more confident if you had posted this at that point in time.
Technologies based on ultrasonics work. The problem IS, they are frowned upon, as they offer a big advantage, and are disruptive to the prevailing oil/pharma complex. I personally, have NEVER advertised my products, its invite only.
LEXG will get heat in my opinion, for potentially HAVING something. If that makes any sense to some of you.
A daily alert by phone? That is unique. How did you sign up for that in the first place? Thanks in advance.
I cannot get their site to come up.
I am sure he is packing a good drawdown, but he certainly isn't any larger than me. I roll a lot, I just don't commit more than 25% of it to juniors.
So I would appreciate it, if he could tell me where I COULD have shorted LEXG.
I am a profitable forex trader, and that is something not a lot of people can spit out of the side of their mouths. My account from the start of the year, which was at 50k, is more than 8 times that, as of April 25th.
True, I pushed the gas pedal and went 10% of the account, as opposed to 1-3%, but still. I saw silver and the US dollar going strong in opposite directions and I went for it.
I guess LEXG is pretty well over now.
I look at LEXG and I look at PPTO, and PPTO is far more advanced. Funny markets. Oh well, I guess PPTO is going to move at least.
So did www.washboardstocks.com
What firm allowed Mr. Sykes to short this so far?
Can you put me down for PPTO?
That has NOT been ascertained yet.
Perhaps you can enter into our discussion on whether you can, or you cannot short LEXG and other pinks and bb's.
Can you? And where?
You know, I have heard that there are SOME places where you can do it. Heck, someone is shorting millions of dollars worth of bb and pink stock every day. Do I have to grasp someones hand in a certain way, and wear certain colours to get in?
PPTO, a very low priced, revenue based oil junior. Prone to furious spurts occasionally. I pick it up during its quiet periods. Thanks to a press release at 4pm on a Friday, I have to think it is going to do something next week. Just my opinion.
Etrade has let you short this so far? With no problems with borrowing? Just wondering, say this post when I looked at you posts.
But I will say, for the sake of the overall markets on pinks and BB, I hope LEXG DOES give a good account of itself. This has been a little too wild.
And Narnia, I am not a member of IHUB. PPTO.
One of my favourites, is under five cents and put out a press release at 4pm on Friday. I am bound not to say anything here. House rules and all. Follow me up if you are interested.
A good, damaging article like that is a top ticket in a media brokers playlist. Probably a 50ker.
A bizarre, strange anomalous situation, just got even weirder. At first I was going to admonish this NEW poster for drawing attention to another board/stock.
But I at least checked out this new stock, AKTAF, to see what is up.
Good lord. Its brand new, as is our new poster casetheace, and the silly thing is trading, or should I say, positioned, at 12 or 13 bucks. With no website URL displayed.
Is this a deliberate Bre-X, to ensure that the junior market is eliminated?
With the tsx and the London Exchange just about to come together as one, Big Brother is pulling some weird stunts and this very well could be one of them. Just my humble, helpful opinion of course.
Stay tuned folks, this is perhaps going to get even weirder.
If I am right, look for the usual suspects of the media to start oohing and aahing about how bad this is for the investing public.
I think the corporate big boys would rather just see investors take their 5-10k of play money and throw it down the black hole called forex.
I mentioned that a major article could and probably WOULD be written about this.
Think about it, some little junior comes out, INFLATES way beyond its means, because they pulled some stunts, after running out of free trading paper and trapped the usual suspects of shorts. That is my opinion and take on what happened here.
Not only is there an opportunity for bigger funds to make a killing on the short side, they have an extreme interest in nipping LEXG in the bud, to protect their other established LITHIUM companies from damage control to their image.
From a junior junkie standpoint, its fun to watch cowboys/anomalies like this, but it has far reaching consequences and impact. It makes this industry even more scrutinized, more frowned upon.
With major corporations tightening things all the time, so as to limit any possible competition from the outside, organized car crashes like this, do nothing for the already shaky future of the junior stock industry.
The media working with firms/business goes on, in my opinion, a lot more often than anyone here could possible imagine. That is my opinion.
In my opinion, there are lobbyists, behind the scenes in the media business, gathering stories for their clients, a la Jack Abramoff, packaging everything on behalf of their clients, allowing the lazy media hack, to merely sift through options, before submitting.
9/10 media articles are in this manner. All, ahem, in my opinion.
As soon as I posted that, I started to laugh, it was so cruel and spontaneous.
I think he is just some poor guy being paid a bowl of rice per post.
You would think an outfit that made 50 million would find a more refined crew of pumpers, that knew how to spell etc...
As I said yesterday, before getting outed because of having 15 posts for the day, deals like this, are what give the pennies even more restrictions and legislation. As if they needed any more.
Well, the board is probably wanting as many cyber keystrokes as possible for advertising purposes I suppose.
But look what happened to ragingbull, it was the bomb back in the day, but the lack of moderation begat some incredible infighting and pumping and bashing.
I acknowledge agendas, the whole world seems to run on agenda, but at least try to get it leaning towards being subtle and being intelligent.
The thing I didn't appreciate and it should have been pounced on by the mods is the one week old offshore ihub identities telling you at the top that this is going to 50 bucks.
I encourage mods to jump all over that and give it a paddle. The pom poms and broken English are the red flags.
Press release at 4pm on a Friday? Look out. Thought it was a little too quiet on a very good company's front.
Seriously. Wow. Thanks.
I have tried to get in touch with them, but I guess they are in stealth mode at this point. Its too bad, I had something for them that I now have three other companies biting at the bit for.
I took notice of that, and added you to my small list of people to keep an eye one. Good work. I too get them from time to time, but have nothing to add in context of this juggernaut. Not now anyways.
Nothing specific to you, sorry. No disrespect intended. Just wanted to let future posters know that this board will endeavour to stick to factfinding and discussion.
CHDN is a market maker you can also short with?
Thank you very much for that. I appreciate it.
I have forgotten more about Lithium more than you will ever, ever, know. And Alberta, is where I go sometimes to ski. Its brutal weather half the time. Ain't no mining going to be happenin there baby.
I don't own a share, and I haven't shorted a share. But I will say, this. This is a war between gray and black. And black usually wins.
Heh, sounds to me like some gang decided to hang the shorts with a tight stock then. This is movie material then. I better start taking notes. Although I think Charlie Sheen is a bit past it now to play any role in this one.
There is no question, shorts, when they get bored and nasty, can ruin companies. So this IS amusing.
And in fact I was saying the other day, the press releases are so silly and empty, it was IF, the company was inviting the shorts to go wild.
This is a trap, the only advice I would give LEXG, to complete the picture, would be to insert something of extreme value into the company, AND SOON.
Probably you are right. But the real professional shorts, when they get pissed call in the big favours.
Most of them have some pretty heavy media contacts, that go a little further than www.pumpanddump.com
One front page article on a major magazine is usually enough to do the trick.
Its a dirty trick, but hey, it can be a dirty business.
Wow a salient post. Wish we would see more of that.
There is a fair amount of truth to this. I just don't think you should try and solicit bystanders in the war between the professional shorts and a very professional gang.
Surely you are not urging people to buy at these prices? This is a short squeeze, plain and simple. A promo that got out of hand and it could easily be at a dollar in a week. Easily.
Just sayin.
