not amazing at all when you look at what Inverness is not saying. BOCX should have covered some of this as part of the agreement. This is a crock. Like I said, with "partners" like this, who needs enemies, crooks, and competitors?
If this is a direct result of Terry's "input" in this process, I'm not at all impressed!! He deserves the ax.
I would even go for some straw... where's the straw? We're not getting any love.
whether you are seeing people "complaining" or not, I think they are voicing their concern over the lack of PR on BioCurex's behalf. It is not complaining to plainly state the obvious. Terry and Wittenberg are not getting the job done adequately on their own. This is just sell-on-news garbage which is a default fallout when there is no solid public relations or business development strategy defined.
GS, I hear what you are saying. I can't help but not have a warm and fuzzy wuzzy regard for Inverness Medical in light of this. When a partner can do no better than "nothing" to put the press out, then they are not fulfilling BioCurex needs a partner. Silly me, I always thought that a "partnership" was to be a win/win situation. This is not. I actually look at IMA now with a bit of disdain quite frankly. With partners like that, who needs competitors or an incompetent FDA committee?
out of Mayberry? For not being in the best mood today... I swear that got me laughing like I haven't laughed in a long time. Since Howard Dean did his "yeeeeee-haw... we're going to Arizona!".
Dog, I'm getting perturbed with Inverness Medical and want a straight up presser that is noteworthy. No harm intended relative to Shazam. Just never heard of them. I have seen Gomer Pyle before, so I made that reference. We need all the help we can get. How man recognize Shazam as a heavyweight was my inference. I have never heard of them.
Jag, I keep hearing people talk about a call after hours. Do you have specifics, time, phone number? TIA
either way, anything with "Shazam" on it or endorsed by Gomer Pyle, is not the kind of presser we are looking for. And it continues that Inverness is not issuing their own presser in announcing this deal. That is shameful.
Ted, I share your concern, but let me play the opposition to your one comment.
Many shareholders were glad to get out in 70-79 cents, you say. Well, just as many shareholders were glad to get in and take those shares off of someone's hands. With every trade, there is a buyer and a seller.
I see large volume and a red candlestick and that is hard to ignore on any stock chart. But sometimes you simply have a scenario deserving of an asterisk in which there is overhead supply which serves as resistance. Someone is getting in while otehrs are getting out... but it's hard to figure any more from this.
Inverness works at a snail's pace on one thing: putting out an Inverness issued presser on this BOCX license agreement. What gives with these people? I'm itching to give them "jerk" status if they don't get on the ball. This is inexcusable that they have yet to put out a presser.
I wouldn't believe there is a poison pill just because someone thinks there is. Where is it in writing or a filing? Otherwise, there is not one in anyone's eyes. Be wary, be diligent.
Kag, are you a moderator chosen for this particular stock, because of your interest in BOCX, or are you an iHub employee who is "assigned" to moderate a number of boards whether you follow the particular stock or not?
I just wasn't sure how this works at iHub. Is it a voluntary thing in which you helped start this board and are seriously invested in BOCX shares?
Thank you
Walt needs to get his act together... and fast. SLP is in need of an ambulance. My SLP shares are in need of clappers to give them some life. Walt is not my favorite subject at this very moment as he sure is providing plenty of fodder to shorts and bashers. And he is bringing on to himself and we longs are paying for it... dearly.
oppknocking, did you mean to say see you over at Yahoo message boards... or did you really mean "chatrooms"?
I just sent another e-mail to Jon Russell (IMA investor relations) and asked that he provide a link to an IMA issued presser. He earlier this morning replied "I believe a release was done earlier today."
I replied back to him that I have yet to see it. Note that he didn't say "who" had done such a release. Everyone barrage this guy with e-mails and phone calls!
20cbocx... just wondering, honest question which you don't have to answer. Did you sell some shares today? When I think of the overhead supply of disgruntled retail, you come to mind, to be honest.
so the question begs, why the dumping? Heck, I'm afraid to add at these levels to be honest! Makes me wonder if this pup is going to $2!! I can't even believe I'm saying this. We were just shy of $8 a few months ago... incredible! ouch
IMA has issued their PR, apparently picked up by bizjournals. Go to Yahoo finance, and go to IMA.
Inverness's PR man replied to me this morning that they already released a presser, so I assume that it goes through bizjournals. Unless I'm missing something...?
Ted, I haven't been around long, but I think you have a good amount of overhead supply here with dissatisfied and frustrated bagholders who don't want to wait any longer.
Part of me says... how many shares can there be to pound out the discontented long who wants out? Wouldn't think it would take too many high volume days to get them out of the way. This is a small stock. If word is getting out by way of IMA, maybe we finally overcome that overhead resistance. I'm holding my shares.
I see that IMA had their release at 11:39 am, on Yahoo finance site. I had an exchange with their IR person who said they had put a presser out, and I responded "well it's not out yet".
Finally got it out some two hours after BOCX put out their own presser. Hopefully others will start to take notice.
Good luck to us all!
volume should easily surpass our highest volume days from September, that much is for sure. Someone is buying this morning, it's already at 365K shares traded.
Has anyone tried to contact IMA's public relations to ask when a presser will be forthcoming from Inverness? I have to run to an appointment, but will check back. Let's see what pop we get once they release a presser.
has Gold Seeker weighed in on the news yet?
I'm just now trying to digest this information. I am trying to weigh Inverness versus Siemens and future prospects. I'd like to hear GS's take on this as he has been gung-ho about RECAF catapulting us towards being a THERAPY for cancer, and not just a test. So I am curious if he is happy or disappointed with the selection of Inverness in that light, outside of just testing means.
I agree that this will push Abbott hopefully and create a bit of a "race"!
Bullie, you are living up to your name. I made a comment about Abbott standing in the shadows. My investment in BOCX is centered around the next license deal, not Abbott.
But thanks for that bullying advice you offered. But my comment was made with regards to Abbott and not BOCX. In case you are wondering I do NOT own any Abbott stock. Does that make you feel a little better?
makes you wonder if the shorts know more than the longs. This price action will make the strongest become weak in the knees. How can you not worry. Thinking all is well goes against my better intuition.
that Abbott guy didn't exactly sound like a merchant for good change, as to his quote. Sit back and do nothing then, Abbott. Watch the world pass you by.
opportunity, I too hold ISIS shares. Are you going to continue to hold or take some profit? I too appreciate your letters sent out to give BOCX notice. You are better than Terry at promoting this company and giving it some exposure!
uh, isn't that called throwing good money at a bad decision when you are cost averaging down? I am getting socked like everyone else but I don't feel to tempted to add down here. I'm still trying to figure out what the heck just happened from about 70% ago. This is incredibly disappointing. And the stock split and NASDAQ listing was to limit the volatility and MM shenanigans? Oh really? This stinks.
I thought some of you might find this web site interesting, as far as browsing all articles...

who is the firkin balloonitik who is trading 100 shares? Can we get a profile of such an idiot?
Tom Petty also said that even the losers get lucky sometimes. I've been losing and I willing to fully embrace some BioCurex luck!
i think that the renowned bocxman is in a cylinder of silence. I keep hearing his name but have not seen him post since I have been involved in BOCX stock.
so Dr. Moro is pulling double duty as a Brown University professor? Interesting! ROTFLMAO
don't know who the basher was here as I have only been "here" for a few months. But worth mentioning that some people are not bashing the stock as they are the mgmt for their shortcomings when it comes to PR and investor relations. From what I see, BioCurex does not exactly deserve good marks in those departments. I'm not impressed with how they handle news items. That is I guess why this is considered "speculative" and why it's OB and not NASDAQ. To each, his own.
HFG is right... live life to its FULLEST. Life can be short, a brain aneurysm hanging around the corner or a heart attack which will be tomorrow's news. Live every day like is is your last day on planet Earth. Happy holidays to all and a prosperous 2008!
so Terry strikes again. That can cost you some serious money in anticipating news in a certain window which never comes. Good thing that Terry is doing such a great job in not talking or advising of informative events behind the scenes. Which really doesn't need to be behind the scenes and cloaked in mystery.
That tidbit of news on a delay has cost a bunch of us even more money... but never mind. It's only money.
thank you Dick. Very informative.
I don't at all like this and I'm losing my shirt, tee, boxer shorts, and cuff links. The part that angers me so much is how much effort Walt has made to be transparent on these issues so that the stock doesn't rocket too quickly because of orders being booked in one quarter and not spread out.
That is fine, but his diligent efforts to reduce volatility... are adding to the volatility... and somehow sinking the heck out of the PPS. I bought in high, and Walt is rocking me. (Thanks a lot Walt. You kept the PPS from rocketing up alright. You have sunk it like a rock. And the split).
Yes, I'm very angry and I bought in with faith that he would be a bit smarter in how he went about this. These ill-advised decisions and short-sightedness in the name of long down the line view... have beat me to a pulp. And many of us are getting stopped out. It's a massacre and Walt is losing some short-term investors that could have been tomorrow's very long term investors.
My confidence is shaken, Dick. Very shaken. Good luck and Merry Christmas.
Dick, the fundamentals may remain intact, put I maintain that this 50% fall is very disturbing and makes me wonder if there is something fundamentally wrong in which insiders or institutions are acting on some form of news which is not flattering of SLP.
Very unusual butt kicking it's now taking. I doubt that Walt had this in mind in pushing for this 2:1 split. It is decimating many of our portfolios, certainly mine as I unfortunately got on board right before it's high around $15.50.
The only thing that can encourage me is the PPS at this point. That is the bottom line. It's almost like an emperor not having clothes. What are we missing out on here?
Jazz and Others... snap poll.
Who here has actually called Terry or Dr. Moro to express concern about the transparency of this stock and informative news releases. It's your money in the stock, so they should advise what they are doing with YOUR money.
Who here actually converses with the company? This is not THAT BIG of a company! What is it, three people or so? This is exactly why they need to be responding to our concerns.
So who has actually spoken with someone representative of BOCX while sitting on shares??
