Not sure why you're playing around with a penny. Within 8 quarters we're looking at $2.50 stock. Thats a five-bagger. Why sweat a penny move? Just get it.
My 2 pesos
Well put, TT.
Like the phrase or not, the Dec. 31 PR is a 'game changer.' In the past, once the intraday buying surge tired, market makers would beat on the stock and there were no orders there to support it-because the word "Dosney" was just a rumor. MMs shorted it once the buying exhausted itself and the strategy worked. They tried it again after the PR, and did drop it from $ .25 cents temporarily to a dime.
But the PR brought the investment banker on board. Major development #2. I doff my chapeau at their effectiveness. I had not heard of this boutique outfit prior to the Feb. 9 PR.
Together, with the presence of Disney and the investment banker, the stock is no longer a rudderless ship. A plan is at hand, and you want to be on board for the ride. I would flat out load the wagon below $ .50 cents. And I have.
Fun chatting.
<Anything different this year than the past that would tell me that this is just going to continue up(and not pull back as usual)? >
Yep.
I think you can forget about a pullback as in past years. Actually those were more like absolute craters right back into the base rather than 'pullbacks.' In short order they surrendered the entire move.
I believe this one holds between $ .40 cents and $ .60 cents. If I am wrong I think it would be to the upside. But I am betting 90+% that the stock moves up another 10% and consolidates in a range-until uplisting to the BB is achieved around early summer. A period of sideways/rangebound trading to cash out some momentum players would set the stage for an advance toward $1.00 later in the year. Company news could begin the move earlier but timing of news releases is beyond my scope so it is not prudent to attempt it.
The world should learn why this recent advance took place shortly. I always love the 'whys.' For many, they dont really care, so long as the stock performs, which it has. Both approaches are fine. I like a free education : )
Paul chatted with Stan today
Paul got a two minutes alone with Stan and asked him a few broad questions. He said 2010 is too early to realize revenues from Disney from Blaze. Also that POWN has projects that will create revenues ahead of revenues anticipated when Disney movies are ready. That's where Paul intimated "Rats" over the phone to me. He neglected to ask Stan to elaborate on projects. He said Stan seemed forthright and accomodative when Paul told him he is a POWN shareholder, but he forgot to ask what some of the projects are. Paul also relayed that Stan said "Great, enjoy the ride the next few years" or something similar to that effect. Paul also said no one in line probably knew POWN is a stock and that is the stock symbol (like having a sign on a desk: POWN). He said for sure if Stan informed fans he was sure people in line would have bought at least 50,000 shares of stock on Monday morning since its only $ .50 cents. Too bad Stan doesnt put his marketing shoes on before his adoring fans. I would bet some would love to participate and he would be doing them a favor. Ah well. He said Stan appeared in fine shape, lines were long and they shelled out lots of money to have comic books autographed and to be near our CEO. He said Seattle is a small market compared to upcoming San Diego (and I think he mentioned another upcoming city).
So keep a watchful eye for coming 2010 projects prior to Disney-the main course.
Hope this helps. Is anyone going to San Diego?
Dog out
A friend and fellow shareholder, Paul, is at the Seattle Con. as I type this for Stan's Q & A session. He called me on I-405 asking me for ideas on what to ask Stan. I gave him two: 1) What quarter does revenues from Disney begin? And 2)What is the compensation formula for POWN on how the co. derives revenues from movies with Disney?
I believe there's no way in hell Stan answers either question directly in front of throngs of Con. people but what the heck-never hurts to try. I was really interested more in any observations Paul made about Stan and his interactions there. His autograph rates are exorbitant. If POWN was receiving those revenues the stock would already be at $5 : )
Nono8989, I remember your SN from years ago. Can you provide any details for me?
GreenMan, thanks for your support. I'll take your advice and zip it up after posting this. I will just post its affect on us. My take is that most board members are long-termers they will like this as it is a major FUNDAMENTAL positive/long term development which the co. has been trying to accomplish for some time. It will enhance future earnings after revenues begin to come on board, which in turn should find us in terms of future share price. So it will add earnings per share and stock support. I am not an expert by any stretch in this industry but my guess is its major impact will be felt in 2011. If I was more of an expert I would say 2010 but I cant say that. I attribute the stock strength of the past thirty days directly to this. It involves a plan and it is working. Does everyone like the share trend?
It's up to Stan to execute the business plan now. If he is successful he will be responsible for making us wildly wealthy in this stock. If something happens to him or if revenues to develop (next 12 months) then the dream wont be realized. Suffice to say we are positioned better than anybody for the biggest gains if Stan succeeds as the stock and story are in maybe the second inning of being discovered by Wall Street. There are several multiples left in the stock move. The most challenging aspect for most investors will be patience. Man, that's tough one. But we found the right pony to ride. This one is in adolescence but he has remarkable Derby potential! I am grateful for the opportunity to already be invested while this little giant is still an undiscovered pink sheet stock. Whatever did I do to get in such good graces with the Wall Street gods? If I figure it out I would like to do it again.
LOL. This guy is funny.
Post on, brutha! As I was eating my corn flakes your post almost made milk come out of my nose.
Rats. Too bad you cant take a short position in POWN, eh? I would loan you the money to stay short POWN the next 12 months, but people living under bridges have a bad track record repaying loans.
MM, I think you may be misinterpreting. I will clarify. There is no "event" that will take place in 3 weeks. The stock has been moving toward the $ .50 cent price zone for a reason. I expect in three weeks I can talk about it openly. I can discuss it now but if I choose to it will be the last time I get communicated with. But there is no 'event' in the way you may be perceiving.
That's reality. That's the stock market. Certain moves in stocks occur to satisfy a bigger agenda. I can talk about that agenda (as I see it) shortly. Stock moves are often orchestrated. I will not use "manipulated" with its negative connotations. This whole thread is about putting two and two together. I am excited to be able to chat openly in three weeks since it should lead to deeper company analysis (in the absence of research coverage) and insight into our company. In the end, the objective is to assemble the puzzle pieces and formulate an accurate picture of the co. at a future date and assess a realistic stock valuation based on our clearer vision. Then act accordingly with our investment dollars. That's how we create wealth using securities.
So you see, there is nothing to fear here. In fact quite the opposite. Facts can be revealed shortly that have not been available to we, the public. I will be burning the midnight oil absorbing and piecing information together as best I can. We all need to determine for ourselves "do I cash in when I am up 200% or 400%....or is the probable end "Destination Disney?" And when & at what valuation?
Watching POWN this next year should be like getting a four-year Harvard business education and getting financially rewarded as we go along. I have had this ride before. It was 1989 and the stock retired me for the next 20 years. What I learned in 9 mos (and being a rookie then, I missed getting out at the top by quite a lot) while the stock ran its course up to its eventual buyout they do not teach in college. And everyone is invited to participate in this conversation. I hope everyone does. Before I openly share without the risk of ruining a relationship, just know I am long a wheel-barrowfull of stock and I bought as recently as $ .36 cents mid-last week. One buddy bought more at $ .45 cents Friday near the close. Make of that what you will. POWN is no longer a $ .05 cent stock and we are still buying in this range. I am REALLY looking forward to a few weeks down the road. My mind is hungry even though the Ameritrade account is already happy. I am expecting the mind will soon be fed and I encourage all to reciprocate. You guys already do. I extend my gratitude to those who follow Stan Lee's life/pulic appearances and freely post them. The recent Bloomberg interview was worth a million bucks, no? Thanks to all who enrich the rest of us. You know who you are.
Dog tidings
Thanks rkor. I want accurate numbers. If this company would actually report sometime during our lifetime we could wrap our arms around this company. Really, if it wasnt for Disney it wouldnt be worth the time and effort needed to do a proper due dilligence. They make us jump through hoops just to obtain normal information every investor wants to have. If the multiples on my investment wasnt so potentially large from my entry point I would have walked. They've run themselves like a private company for a long time and gotten away with it.
I will be surprised if this goes much further than another dime, short term. Once it reaches the $.50-$.60 zone it bodes well for events three weeks from now. A long, strong base being built in the $.50-$.60 cent range is where I put my money. We'll see if I am right. This supposes no news releases, which to me are unpredictable in timing and stock impact. $.50-$.60 cents and a long pause/rest.
Well good of you to guess but neither uplisting, splitting the stock or reporting financials are involved this soon. I dont think a stock split ever happens and the other two may be closer to June 1 than now.
The three-week time parameter involves something I have never read the board addressnj the week or so I have been following along.
Yes, that is my take too. Although I am told the total outstanding is 106 million instead of 100 million. These numbers will change. In three weeks discussion on this board will go beyond the last tick in the stock, which is fine if thats all we have. Soon we will have a lot more. I hope three weeks doesnt turn into six weeks. That happens a lot on Wall Street. But for now I'll go with what I am told.
< I believe most of us that have called or emailed have gotten absolutely no feedback or replies with information we've requested>
This has frustrated me to no end too. But that makes me dig in deeper until I find sources who will talk with me and see me for who I am-a friend, not foe. The company's information rejections turned me into a pit bull until I found what I was looking for.
I have followed POWN for 2 years and never bought a share until last month. I gave up on CFO Junko and other team members. They have remained a non-reporting co. and for a reason. They do not favor having stockholders. They see us as caring only about one thing-money. So they have little/no time for us. She talked with me several times 2 yrs ago when the co. was seeking investors for a private placement. After it fell through the co. became non-communicative again. They wanted to operate like a private company and they have operated like a private company.
The investment banker is the push behind the stock. I had no knowledge of them before their deal prior to POWN. They seem effective and I give them the benefit of the doubt. They are a specialty boutique firm-a seemingly good match for Stan Lee. They stressed they have NO interest in POWN if POWN's intention is to remain a non-reporting pink sheet co. POWN acquiesced. It is too early to tell whether POWN goes the whole route-eventually paying an investor relations firm, doing road shows, etc. The investment banker will handle those types of issues after POWN is off the pink sheets.
Your original question-what assurance do you have that you can rely on info I pass along? Use your best sense. No information I provide on this board is going to make anyone run out and double the share price. Message board posters dont have money like that. Institutions do, and they go direct to Lee and Lieberman for information that leads to their investment decisions, not read my or anyone else's posts. If you like my posts I invite you to read on. If you dont trust me hit the delete button. Use your best sense. I am here for intelligent conversation. My stock position has already been taken.
A Correction offered here
Disney bought 10% of POWN for $ .25 cents per share. I have seen posts asserting Disney paid $ .19 cents or $ .20 cents or $ .195 cents. None of these are accurate. Disney paid $ .25 per share as validated by two sources-POWN's investment banker and Mr. Lieberman.
The shares are still within spitting distance of Disney's entry price. This will not be the case six months from now.
You know what to do : )
Hog, you brought up a point recently that I completely resonate with. For POWN shares to find religion (meaning move out of this crappy penny zone and become a liquid $2-3 stock things will have to happen first. It will necessitate POWN showing revenues. Meaning for block money to enter at say $1.00 the stock will have to deserve a $100-$200 million market capitalization and that wont be accomplished without actual revenues. I back that statement 100%.
The way this stock is being accumulated at every penny (regardlesss of price) it tells me we are going to see those revenues. It may be from Disney or other sources-or a combination. But when an earnings report comes out and they report say a $2-4 million revenue quarter vs. 0 (regardless of EPS), this stock will double from the piss ant level it is at just prior to the report.
That is my own take. The stock will jump from $.90 cents to $2 instantaneously on such a quarterly report. We are just in the walkup stage now. This is not the real deal, although it is mighty profitable. This CAN be a rare superstock, and it could be a $2-5 stock in 12 months. Just show us the revenues. The stock will take care of itself. The second half of 2010 will be Stan's time to deliver revenues out of the developmental stage and into the operating stage. If he does, the walkup phase of the stock will turn into the Run phase. And that's where you get all giddy, fat and happy. This stuff is the appetizer.
You might want to buy a McDonalds franchise (or move closer to one). At $1.25-1.50 you may be the immoveable object.
Funny, I had this dicussion last night with an investor friend-whether the $ .36 breakaway gap would ever fill again. He was unsure. Not a chance was my reply. So he went in and grabbed another 10K at $ .42 two hours ago. I informed him the stock will reach $ .50-.60 and base there for some time. I love an orchestrated stock. There are reasons the shares are moving to that zone. It will be there within the 3 week period I have been mentioning.
Peace to all. And a find weekend as well.
MM, the new layer of investors arent my friends. I dont take credit for them. Company fundamentals have to be the underlying reason for new layers of investors to appear. And that goes to what Stan Lee is creating. I am only reporting their presence.
I will make a prediction of my own: When this stock hits $ .50 cents, it supports there between $ .50 and $ .60 cents. One day soon (3 weeks?) I look forward to elaborating. For now its just words and seeing what I am saying validated in the share price you are looking at.
Norky, that's just the posted spread. $ .40-$.45. If you put stock out there at $ .44 cents right now they'd suck in down like root beer. There are buyers out there. Its not coming in the way they want it. If they actually bid $ .44 cents on teh screen they'd just spook it higher-without buying what they want. But they're there.
I will certainly honor that. I will feel much more comfortable posting information in three weeks. I cannot ruin relationships and thats what I would be doing now. There are some neat sources and I believe them to be clean and straight or I wouldnt get involved in this stock (or any stock). Retail Joe and his 500 share orders will not push this stock to $3. And thats not to denigrate Retail Joe in any way. But bigger players are arriving that will take this stock. We really do have a clean winner. Most of the investing world doesnt know about it...yet. You guys do. Kudos.
Hi MM, no its not wishful thinking by me.
less than 90 days, TT. The graduation alone should add ten cents to the stock.
Mr. Lieberman's reply is very psoitive.
Fast turnaround. Spoke today. The question was the nature of an important agreement. Asked him who owns the rights to the 3 new characters currently in production at Disney-Stan Lee himself or POWN? I place significance on the truth because if Blaze and the two smaller movies with Disney are successful, will POWN shareholders be rewarded commensureatly or do we somehow get left out? Mr. Lieberman replied Stan owns nothing outright. He signed all the rights over to POWN (a silent hooray can be heard).
Next we need to learn what kind of revenue sharing agreement POWN has with Disney. Then the puzzle pieces begin to come together and we can make some guesses as to what we're looking at a year from now. We could have the answer to this important Revenue question in approx three weeks. I cant say why three weeks is the magic number but it is. We can discuss it in this forum then.
In the meantime, a stock aiming toward $ .50 cents shouldnt hurt anyone's feelings, right?
Thanks for the welcome ZMan. I have an old buddy at the Los Angeles money mgmt firm I worked for years ago who loves emerging growth stocks. I am going to give him the POWN story before the week is out. This mgmt. firm specializes exclusively in emerging growth microcap stocks. POWN is based less than 30 min from them. I will act as go-between. If I am any good at the presentation the story should sell itself. Wish me luck.
Thanks to all who replied. Mr. Lieberman was very gracious to take my call. Hadnt chatted with him in two full years. I utterly lost my head when fogetting to ask him who owned the intellectual property rights to the three new characters. Will bs with him again.
The team just grabbed another ten at $ .39 on the pullback. Time to go back to work. LOL. Thank you 10K seller.
My man says "Muy Gratzie" -- Another way of asking "Thank you sir may I have another?" (Kevin Bacon in Animal House)
An investor on our team asks this: "Who owns the intellectual property rights to the 3 new characters?.....If its POWN I'll pick up another 100k quickly. If not, my question to Lee is "What assets does POWN own then that provides value to a shareholder like me?"
Norky, I am on the same page with a $2 valuation in the coming quarters. Here is the defining question I want Stan to answer: Who owns the rights to the three characters in the Disney movies Blaze, Nick Ratchet and Tigress? Is it Stan Lee or POWN? The answer will determine where I value POWN shares going ahead.
Check that. Our ceiling was $.40 not $ .39. Misstated that.
Time for breakfast. Work is done.
Okay, my boyz grabbed another 70K this AM all in the thirties. So all prints above $ .39 are from other interested parties and not us. If it pulls back at some point back into the thirties, we go to work again. I feel like the head of a janitorial crew (in a good way). We come in and clean things up when called upon : )
Peace,
love,
upticks
Grabbed several ten blocks in the early minutes. We should conclude our buying within the first hour today. It's been fun. Time to let others take over : )
MM, I am going to make you very happy when the bell rings. Enjoy your breakfast. It should go down smooth.
If people can wait 12 months they will be holding a $2.00 stock. Whether you paid $ .33 cents last Friday or $ .36 cents today or $ .39 cents tomorrow...who cares? Just be in.
The first digit for this stock will begin with a "5" in short order. And those investors will be ecstatic to get their shares at that price too.
My close friend and fellow investor will be attending the Seattle Comic Con on Saturday. Guess where he will be at 12:30 PM? Yep, Stan's Q&A session.
This is in teh early stages of being a grand slam home run. Everyone on this board gets a pat on the back. Nice discovery.
Truer words have not been spoken.
LOL. I thought you guys would be happy with the today's tape. My Kingdom to run into a seller with size!
Sure. But I dont want to blow relationships. I have no clue where information ends up after I hit 'send.' Suffice to say I believe new layers of investors will join POWN's shareholder base and they will enter at progressively higher prices. I like the design and I think we early birds will be quite successful in POWN. The reality is when two-sided order flow does not exist I cant obtain the shares in meaningful enough size. I am grateful a new option will surface in a few weeks so our little investment club can complete our position. We look for emerging growth stocks and I have green-lighted POWN. The company is in the process of being discovered and so too should go the stock. The next 12 months should be fun. I look forward to the day I can see a research report and 5% institutional sponsorship in POWN. As revenues come on stream the stock could get the attention of the right players. The objective is to be fully positioned before that down the line occurrence.
Good luck to all of us.
I cant say in a giant forum like this. You'll know in a few weeks. The futures for both the company and the share price look compelling. I dont believe I will be able to buy the size we are looking for with this trading volume. Another option will surface. I look to participate. God bless Stan, his health and his team.
Yeah, relax. Its only me.
<Do you in good faith, expect someone here to know POWN's cash burn rate?>Zman
I would hope before people invest money they do some due diligence first. Two years ago, if I recall accurately, POWN had approx. $450,000 in Revenues and $560,000 loss for the year. I may be off somewhat on those numbers. It has been two years and that is from memory. I got them from the CFO. POWN was attempting to complete a Private Placement of stock at $ .25 cents. It failed more than one time-my guess is because the business relationship with Disney was only rumored then. The Dec. 31, 2009 news release and $2.5 million investment made the relationship official.
<What is your true agenda, if you don't mind me asking.>Zman
To become the most intelligent investor I can be. And that means to learn all the facts and determine what fair value for this company is. Really, I am surprised this is lost on you.
Since you did not answer my question 'how has the company been funding itself through its losses?' I assume you do not know. I am still hopeful someone can address this fair question with certainty.
<Stan himself said publicly that we are now in phase two and there is no need for additional financing from any source. Do you not believe what Stan said?>Zman
Stan is human.
