Amex to Trade Options on Six Securities

Avanex Corporation options will open with strike prices of 2 1/2 - 5 - 7 1/2 and position limits of 75,000 contracts. The options will trade on February expiration cycle with initial expirations in October, November, February and May. The specialist will be AGS Speicialists LLC. Avanex Corporation designs, manufactures and markets fiber optic-based products, known as photonic processors. The Company's products are used by communications service providers and optical systems manufacturers.
Golden Star Resources Ltd. options will open with strike prices of 2 1/2 - 5 - 7 1/2 and position limits of 75,000 contracts. The options will trade on February expiration cycle with initial expirations in October, November, February and May. The specialist will be Highland Securities Corp.
