What a let down 2.65
I thought this stock was gonna explode. Still hoping....
Great post
this guy got a post deleted when he attacked me for spelling tomorrow wrong. Go NVEI.
Sorry fellow longs
for my poor attempt at humor but at $3.90 per share if I don't laugh, I'll cry. I agree with Trucker that the Chinese man is pictured to give us hope.
I think that was Mary Ho lol eom
Congrats Longs
"With this confirmation, I am confident that we will close a contemplated major new investment"
Can you say LOAN?
Chump change is
Read's 500 shares purchased at 4.25 before the shareholders meeting. I didn't like that.
I love the 150,000 dollar vote of confidence. Amazing how positive news is viewed as if an insider sold $150,OOO in shares.
Today's press release
Congrats longs. Interested to see what tomorrow brings.
.155 close on Friday
Sure has brought alot of bashing over the weekend.
"It's very difficult to build
a robotic vehicle that can avoid obstacles and travel the Grand Challenge course at the speeds necessary to win the prize." This is a quote from DARPA 2005 program manager Ron Kurjanowicz.
The vehicle that travels the fastest time in under 10 hours across approximately 175 miles wins the 2 million dollar prize. That's 17.5 miles per hour. Our FTV can go up to 60 miles per hour. Dread it's in the bag for us. We will be the winner. At least we all hope so.
<< you said you spoke with
GS after the meeting >> Yes I did, he came over to talk with me immediately after the meeting ended. He began to offer personal financial reasons for his sales. I responded that I felt he didn't owe it to me to delve into his personal life. I felt he was sincere and thanked him for his thoughtfulness to offer.
Up Tommorow EOM
Now may be the time,
for those who can, to stick their big toes back in the pool.I had to sell part of my ZAP Thursday to stay afloat. Those who sold Torvec after the shareholders meeting and have waited the 30 days may start buying back in at this price.(5.85-3.78)Also possible news releases soon about IVT,CHERY,DARPA,ect.I would be a buyer today if I wasn't tapped out. Just a thought.
Ronald Reagan quoted
"If you come across a room of horse manure there could be a horse in there." I hope atovcfan doesn't stop posting because his first post was deleted. I suppose Fain will be putting out his first CEO message soon. Could there be Chery news soon???
Never would have expected
the change to Fain from Ottalagana. Quite a surprise. Oh well. Let's see what tommorow brings.
Worth Reposting
<< Let's face it, this board was created because an investor was interested in the stock and wanted an environment where other current and prospective investors could post information and discuss their investment without personal attacks, etc. >>
Sounds fair to me.
Dread thanks for the reply
Kinda of spells things out. Hopefully we can all play nice now till Torvec sky rockets. Good Night all.
<< But some on this board choose to accuse everyone new to this board as a short unless they say how great Tovc is. >> Dyna, that is the way I felt too when all this started. But no one should be attacked like Dread was.
If a person was short this stock and posted reasons here in a gentlemanly manner we'd have to live with it.
<< The shorts appear to be a few people with multiple sign-ons. >>
No one here can be positively sure who is short. Yes a person can talk negatively about recent events and still be long the stock. Accusing some longs here of being short was to them I am sure a personal attack. At the risk of sounding greedy I still "want me gold"
Torvecian, << Did you see how
small those cars are >> Yes I did. They claim they can take a hit. My first car was a Volkswagen Bug so I can appreciate the smallness. I just find the company interesting and hold a very small amount of shares in Zap. I am hoping for a small pop when the media covers their arrival to the U.S.
Also I picked up my private mail today. Dread thanks for the hint on that or I still wouldn't have checked.
Off Topic
Did anyone look into my post about Zapz.ob at 2.71? I think there are some interesting news releases there. Not trying to pump it. Just a diversion to keep my mine off Torvec. Any thoughts?

<< If I go down I will go down hard.>>
Amen my brother. I begged and borrowed.
dyna we can certainly
Agree to disagree. I'm not looking to argue. I just felt that today's board exchange was awfully ugly. The only thing accomplished today was beating up on a fellow shareholder and poster(in this case Dread)for expressing his views.
There's just got to be a pot at the end of this rainbow. As the Leprecaun would say, or maybe you my friend Leitrim, "I want me gold"
Trucker I am hanging
Like I said we're going down that long lonesome highway together with let's hope alot of bright lights ahead. I agree the Dreadman didn't deserve today.
Nottorvecian
Seems like u and I are in the same situation. We're frustrated with recent events but correct me if I am wrong we both feel like it's too late to sell at 4.25. Wish I had sold more after the meeting, but I guess I was like a deer caught in headlights as I watched the price go down. Here's hoping a month from now I feel silly for being concerned about the drop in share price. Like you I do still believe in Torvec or I would have bit the bullet and been gone.
Warren don't leave
I feel your frustration of being called a short only because you have some legitimate concerns about your investment. I also feel that Dread doesn't need to be called a liar for expressing his thoughts. We can co-exist.
WOW the board turned
according to how one views it either awfully interesting or awfully ugly today. I hope we hear news about our possible relationship with Chery soon.
Bottom line is JG said
Not to be alarmed when you see some selling of shares held by Vernon's estate. You can be alarmed but myself I view it just as was stated at the meeting. Settling estate matters.
Dread you are welcome anytime
I am in Batavia. Don't know if your travels take you to this area. I will be reopening a small restaurant formerly known as Vic's Dog House in April. It is next to Batavia Downs harness racing track. I will serve charcoalbroiled Zwiegle's white dogs and coffee but no beer.
Dyna the way I understood it is
we were told not to be alarmed by some selling of Vernon's shares to liquidify some of his money for estate purposes. Say he left 10,000 each or x amount of dollars in his will to each nephew, niece, grandson, granddaugther, sister, brother etc. This cash would need to be generated from sale of stock. I found JG'S statement to be in line with how I have seen people's money distributed after passing.
Dyna, there are better days coming.Maybe a positive news release soon. Let's hope those grandkid's get liquidity at over double digits. You know that is what Vern or any Gleasman would want.
Dread my problem is
I have been in the restaurant business for 30 years. I work 362 days a year. I am a workaholic. I also own a second restaurant that the tenant broke his lease and I will have to start back up in March. This is the reason I was hoping for a big January for Torvec. You know, start-up costs to get the second business rolling again. I'll need money to blacktop, equipment, etc.
It is just when you mentioned the road trip to Darpa it brought back pleasant memories of before I became a responsible businessman. We would just jump in the car and drive to a selected destination for a road trip.
"at what price fame" What good is anyone's money if they don't take the time to enjoy life? I hope you go.
Wow attending the race
That is amazing if you will be able to attend. I never even thought of that. If I was 20 again you'd have me tagging along that's for sure.
Come on you oldtimers suffering
for five or six years on your 50 to 100 percent gains from purchases in the 1's and 2's. Give us shareholders with a cost basis in the 6,7,8 range a little slack for venting.True we have only been suffering for about a year but we have sustained heavy losses. Just because we vent, common sense will tell you we aren't necessarily short. How about those people that bought at the offering price of 12?
LET'S WIN THAT RACE IN OCT.
No need to apologize Reporter
<< What was that crap about results "measured in weeks, not months or years"? >>
<< like actually go to production with something >>
I will never forget the looks (some people turned and looked at me like I had 3 heads) at the shareholders meeting when I asked Otto to tone down the rhetoric of the "weeks not years stuff". Knowing the meeting was at an end and we were not being told the Tahoe results any time soon, I thought that was fair game. Like many others I added heavily to my position on that statement alone.
Reporter, some on this board have called this kind of post complaining about our precious Tovc.ob. I suppose when Torvec is north of 20 we'll all look back and laugh about your post.
OT ZAPZ.OB
Interesting buy at 2.71 per share.
Trucker,
<<There are more swings of the bat out there now than ever before.>> 100 percent true.
<<now is the time to be buying it seems like.>>
I don't know about this one. The smart money was on the phone selling the minute they walked out of the shareholders meeting and will pile back in with a press release of substance.(Which today's release was not)
I enjoy your posts. We're going down that long lonesome highway together on this one my friend.
Dread
I'm glad you got that off your chest. Go TOVC.OB
5.85 to 4.90
This is absolutely no surprise to the people who attended the shareholders meeting and listened with a nonbias ear.You had to know the stock would sell off when you left that meeting. We all love the thought of our Torvec making us rich. Let's hope grappler made a mistake and we will be "rewarded for our patience."
I think we are drifting here by beating up on Jim Gleasman as the reason no one has purchased Torvec's technolgy. When it comes down to a business decision you do not have to like the person you are doing business with. Your bottom line is to make money. You certainly wouldn't let your competitor have the technology because of a personality conflict.
I share Leitrim's concern that the Gleasman's may be too hands on and not letting CXO do there thing. I got the feeling that the CEO wanted to release the Tahoe data before Jim Gleasman does. Again Dread, congradulations on over 1,000 posts here. I have read everyone and am thankful you started this board.
Torvecian,
I am the person who asked 3 questions at the shareholders meeting. I am a very very large shareholder who believes in Torvec's future.(1)I asked about our now defunct relationship with Billow and Butler.(2)I asked about the status of our situation with ZT Tecnologies.(3)I asked Otto to tone down the rhetoric with "the weeks not years stuff". My insider selling comment was clearly directed toward secretary Gary Siconolfi. (over $100,000 in share value in 2004)I said with that and Read buying only 500 shares it did not look good for the Corporation. I never meant for the Gleasman's to buy more shares.
These questions were crude????????? The sad part is I did'nt like the answers to any of my questions. The funny part is I did not feel that Jim Gleasman was rude. He came over to me and apologized after the meeting having thought(like most of you) that I was a short or day trader trying to cause controversey. I told him it was not necessary to apologize.
Hello, Letrim. It was a pleasure meeting you at the meeting. Dread, keep up the great work here, it is appreciated.
