maybe he feels western lithium with Posco technology mining lithium in 8 to 12 hours 99% purity might be more effective than brine production currently takes 12 to 18 months and can be held up by unfavorable weather also they have to send sample all the time in the production process to check purity to even sell the it. I am not sure but I do know I am not over there on that board making post because my money is on Western lithium and a few other stocks i will post really fast then Bill jet will delete for off topic witch he should

Currently, lithium is not traded as a commodity; rather, it is managed through a kind of oligopoly situation where there are three or four major suppliers globally and they have rather successfully managed supply and demand for lithium over the past decades. Because of this, everything is priced on a contract basis.

POSCO, Renault Samsung team up connecting the dots on this and it might lead to something big. seems like there is more then one road to lithium gold.
Korea, where world-class EV battery-makers like LG Chem and Samsung SDI are located, is forecast to further capitalize on the EV market development,’’ Park said. LG Chem supplies EV batteries to Renault Samsung.
Under his tenure, LG Chem opened a $303 million lithium ion battery factory in Holland, Mich., that supplies technology for the Chevrolet Volt, Ford Focus Electric and other vehicles. Federal appropriations of $151 million funded half of the plant’s establishment.
The facility had a rocky beginning, but Patil said it is receiving new contracts.
“We started out with the goal of becoming the center of excellence for North American suppliers of lithium batteries, and I think we’ve had potentially achieved that position,” he said.
When the 650,000-square-foot battery cell plant broke ground in 2010, it was expected to be fully operational in 2013, with up to 400 employees and the ability to produce batteries for about 200,000 hybrid and electric cars.
Although the plant was completed in 2011 and about 200 employees were on payroll, LG did not start production locally. Instead, it shipped batteries from Korea as demand for the Volt lagged behind expectations. In 2012, production at the lithium ion battery cell plant was scheduled to start, but the company put 200 employees on a rolling furlough.
In 2013, LG Chem Michigan said it would pay the U.S. government more than $1.2 million to settle allegations it used the federal stimulus money to pay workers who weren't making batteries. They were paid while waiting for the Korean company to move battery production from South Korea to Michigan, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office. LG Chem Michigan did not admit liability. The company said in a statement that it paid the employees in an effort to keep a qualified workforce while awaiting the start of production.

Could lithium become the new oil?
BY VIKRAM MANSHARAMANI October 15, 2015 at 4:05 PM EDT
I recently spoke with a group of Nigerian leaders who were visiting Yale. I expressed to them my confidence in the long-term outlook for oil demand. A booming middle class in the emerging markets, I argued, would consistently demand more fuels. They were engaged throughout my talk and cared about many different topics, but kept returning one.
“OK, but Vikram, what will oil prices be next year?” I answered honestly, “I don’t know.”
Several other questions came up, but then another person asked, “OK, very compelling presentation, thank you. But do you think oil prices will be higher or lower next year than they are today?” Again, I pleaded ignorance.

What you need to know about the Fed's potential interest rate hike
The process continued, and eventually, everyone was laughing about the persistent focus on oil prices.
Oil has long been a source of geopolitical and economic power. It’s driven countries to war; it’s propped up dictatorships. There’s a lot riding on the price of oil, and it rightfully garners disproportionate attention. Some observers stress about whether OPEC will try to manipulate oil prices, while others predict its demise. But this focus may be concealing another very important development, one in which you are personally involved.
Have a cordless land-line (remember those?) or a smartphone? A tablet? Well, they all depend on batteries. Batteries suffuse our lives on an everyday basis, even if we only notice them when they run low on charge. In fact, the “Low Battery” warning generates enough angst that a rechargeable charger industry has rapidly sprung up and is today thriving. Of course, we may soon need to have rechargeable chargers to recharge the rechargeable chargers once they run low, and heaven help us, we’re 10 minutes away from a traditional outlet… But I digress. My point is very straightforward: We have an insatiable thirst for stored and easily transported power.
Lithium is a crucial ingredient in these batteries and may one day eclipse oil as a source of geopolitical and economic power.
The devices that allow us to function would themselves not function without our trusty portable sources of power. Lithium is a crucial ingredient in these batteries and may one day eclipse oil as a source of geopolitical and economic power.
Unsurprisingly, with the proliferation of consumer electronics, global lithium production has been growing at a rapid clip, doubling in the decade leading up to 2012. Some expect the amount of lithium used in batteries could quadruple by 2020. And 2014 was also the first year in which over 30 percent of annual lithium output was directed toward consumer battery production. The price for a ton of lithium has tripled to $6,500 over the last ten years, even as the price of lithium batteries has fallen every year since 2007 by almost 15 percent. Were it not for consistent innovation, I suspect lithium prices would have risen higher faster.

3 ways China’s economic slowdown will affect your finances
Demand for lithium is sure to increase in the coming decades — it’s expected to double over the next ten years — especially with the rise of fully electric vehicles. The poster child of this development is Elon Musk’s Tesla Motors. His multi-billion dollar Nevada “gigafactory” is slated to produce 500,000 vehicles per year by 2020. Goldman Sachs estimated that this one operation alone could demand 17 percent of the world’s lithium output. And that’s not including all the other firms that are getting in on electric cars, including the Warren Buffet-backed car company Build Your Dreams, which has ambitions on a similar scale to Musk’s Tesla.
Where will all this lithium come from? Unfortunately, the world’s lithium reserves are extremely concentrated, with the vast majority — possibly as much as 70 percent — in the Andes Mountains of Chile, Bolivia and Argentina. Other deposits are found in the U.S., China and Australia. But most of these other deposits are more expensive to mine than the Andes deposits that lie on the surface.
From 2010 to 2013, the United States imported 96 percent of its lithium from either Chile or Argentina. The renewable energy consultant Tam Hunt recently asked whether we could end up seeing a 21st century cartel of the “Lithium Producing and Exporting Countries.” It seems highly likely that the Andes countries (the “Lithium Triangle”) will amass vast economic and political power through the control of a resource critical to the functioning of the modern economy.
Others, though, are less pessimistic, noting that newfound demand is already leading to new discoveries of lithium reserves — like the motherlode discovered in Afghanistan a few years ago — and that lithium is recyclable. However it shakes out, lithium is very likely to be a centrally important global commodity worthy of everyone’s attention.
An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.
yes there is more than one interest from these backing companies just like Tesla. It would would foolish to think there is going to be a solo pure lithium player in the word that supplies all Lithium battery grade material
The issue here is how Western Lithium will advance as profitable distributor of Lithium down the road and how that returns gains to holders of the stock with interest of growth.

Lithium Americas and POSCO Execute Heads of Agreement Defining Basic Conditions of Joint Venture for the Development of the Cauchari-Olaroz Lithium Project
Published: Aug 27,
POSCO plans to complete the examination of commercial-scale deployment of direct lithium extraction technology next year and take an unchallenged, leading position in the global lithium market.
Its so nice western lithium is able to consult with such a company as POSCO. Some older news about there investment on western lithium's owned sites.
Posco is expected to invest an additional $200 million in 2015 in Argentina
POSCO held a building completion ceremony on December 19th for the world`s first ever large lithium direct extraction demo plant, which it has developed near a salty lake in Cauchari, Jujuy province northern part of Argentina.
The building completion ceremony grabbed substantial media attention in Argentina, with local government officials turning out in force to celebrate POSCO`s achievement. Present at the ceremony were Jorge Mayoral, the Vice-Minister of Mining Department in Federal Government, Eduardo Fellner, the governor of Jujuy, as well as officials from local subcontractors such as LAC and Exar.
Jorge Mayoral, the Vice-Minister of Mining Department in Argentina, said he was impressed with POSCO`s passion for the lithium project. ``We will support at the central government level the success of lithium projects not just in the Jujuy region, but in other areas which are expected to contribute to Argentinian economic development.``
Eduardo Fellner, the governor of Jujuy, said, ``We expect that the partnership between POSCO and Jujuy province will be mutually beneficial and also help develop the community in Jujuy region. POSCO brings world-class technologies and Jujuy province provides vital resources. The people of Jujuy Province are dedicated to supporting the project.``
The large demo plant contains the world`s first lithium direct extraction technologies developed by POSCO and the plant is capable of producing 200 tons of lithium carbonate annually. Since the plant facilities were shipped last August from Korea, there has been a four-month period to allow for shipping and assembly. The final verification of the lithium extraction technologies is expected to be completed shortly, allowing for the plant to commence normal operation.
POSCO developed the high-efficient lithium extraction method from salty water in 2010 for the first time in the world, and it has succeeded in demonstrating lithium extraction by constructing a pilot plant in Chile in 2013. Unlike existing natural evaporation extraction which takes an average of between 12 months to 18 months, POSCO can produce high-purity lithium in as little as 8 hours and as long as one month. As the lithium recovery rate is also higher by more than 80%, far surpassing the previous rate of 20%, the technology has excellent economic feasibility.
The building completion ceremony and successful plant operation has meant that POSCO has, once again, launched a strong new growth engine, as emphasized throughout the presidency of Kwon Oh-joon. The excellence of POSCO`s own lithium direct extraction technology will help it secure an unrivaled position in the world`s lithium market, where a demand expansion is expected due to the popularization of electric vehicles.

On Behalf of the Board
Western Lithium as been upfront with me so fare I have not come across any information that they have posted to be incorrect or misleading.Every time frame they set so fare has come very close to the time frames they set outline. When they said they were going to start with drilling fluids and build that plant first they did and its built. when they said there was going to be a merging with Lithium Americas there was.and when they switched auditing companies they did.ALSO when they say anything in the news its always backed by proven reports. when they say there going to be selling lithium by 2016 starting with 2500 toon then 20,000 in 2017 I have no doubt there not going to fallow there plans.
lithium MARKET OUTLOOK IS FARE LARGER THEN TESLA NOT RULE THEM OUT BUT I AM NOT STUCK ON THEM AS TO THE FUTURE OF WESTERN LITHIUM.
This is a large bust for lithium storage as a realistic large scale alternative to power needs.
The state-owned electric utility company KEPCO (Korea Electric Power Corporation) runs the world’s largest power storage project. With a capacity of 200 MW, the project will ensure the stability of South Korea’s electricity grid.
well they were correct about building a mine taking a long time. and about the best thing they have done is invest 10% in Graphene 3D . and that counts toward future value.
To be completely honest with you. I couldn't find access to a lot of information in regards to this stock. I currently own some shares and seeing there was no post on here decided to upgrade their message page. If there are some pertinent information you'd like to share by all means post it. Maybe I'll highlight it and make it a sticky.

platform sold for 65 million looks whats Infinity Augmented Realty, Inc plant form woth?
The technology platform provider plans to blend AR tech with the
Internet of things.
Augmented reality has largely been the playground of video games and retail marketing so far, but the Oct. 12 acquisition of the Vuforia platform may spin it into a new direction.
Internet of things software maker PTC PTC 0.66% has acquired Vuforia from Qualcomm QCOM 0.02% for $65 million, with plans to increase its focus in the IoT and B2B (business to business) world.
“More and more we see products that are part physical and part digital—and we see new models wanting to be part physical and part digital,” says Jim Heppelmann, CEO of PTC. “The idea of being able to project a digital experience onto a physical product to figure out how to service it or show operating metrics … is a killer idea.”
Heppelmann says the company foresees a wide variety of use cases for the technology—both business- and consumer facing.
Augmented reality is a technology that superimposes computer-generated images on top of real world objects, ranging from video game characters to data fields. AR can extend a variety of experiences into new arenas as well as provide useful information to consumers.
For example, imagine pointing your smartphone at your car and being able to see visual warnings that your wiper fluid was running low or your tire pressure was sub-optimal on a rear tire. That’s possible as information gathered by the car’s sensors can be pushed to the cloud, then retrieved and shown in a visual format on the phone. That same format could also offer simple to follow directions on how to fix the problems.
MORE: PTC eyes Internet of things analytics with $105 million acquisition
In a B2B format, Heppelmann says, the technology could create tremendous savings in the service sector—a $200 million business for PTC.
“I think a lot of companies who make and service [products] want to be able to pass information downstream to consumers,” he says. “[But] rather than a big PDF file, they [now] can say let me augment everything you need to know and nothing more. … Augmented reality is a way to explain the need for service and also explain the procedure for service. … There is so much untapped potential for AR in B2B.”
Using an AR-assisted tool, users of a medical equipment device, for example, would be able to do a routine service inspection themselves, saving the time and cost of sending a service person out on a call (which can run thousands of dollars).
The buzz over augmented reality has been fairly muted in recent years, as competing virtual reality devices have captured people’s imaginations and certain AR devices, like Google Glass, have failed to catch on. Interest in the field has spiked recently, though, thanks to buzz surrounding Microsoft’s HoloLens headset.
Vuforia is a leading AR platform that’s already widely used and understood by the app community. Qualcomm says it’s currently used by over 175,000 registered developers and powers more than 20,000 apps.
PTC’s acquisition of the technology will include the existing developer ecosystem, but the company says it doesn’t plan to make any changes to the current support policies or the product itself—and plans to continue growing the community.
The acquisition will not substantially impact PTC’s financial results initially, but Heppelmann says he does anticipate the unit to be a notable contributor in the years to come.
“Our strategy will be different than that of Qualcomm,” says Heppelmann. “Qualcomm created this to differentiate their chips. This was something of a throw-in that they didn’t monetize … until recent years for commercial use. PTC has much more of a marketing machine to take this into B2B and B2B2C use cases.”
Nice to have support of a supplier as part owner lower cost = higher sales and as one stock goes up so does the other.nice work on the message board feel free to stop over to LMRMF on the hub.

Nice posts guys let keep trying to post information that is support. I am thinking Tesla will be buy Lithium from one of the big 3 suppers at first and using anyone it can to lower the price for there ability to meet low cost production. I do also feel western lithium will be able to supplement them or even supply them at a future point. I do not feel there solely dependent on them for future profit or sustainability. The amount of materiel they have and the support and management team is capable of advancing this company with profit as its been able to show ability to meet almost every timeline its publicly set.

I was doing some research and just E-mailed western Lithium I am interested if they well respond to me lol. sent this E-mail.
I was doing some research on The Benefits of Bentonite Clay. Can Hectorite clay be used in the health or pharmaceutical industry as a filler or product ?
Bentonite clay is a common ingredient in detox and cleansing products. It has an alkalizing effect on the body and when taken correctly, it can help balance gut bacteria.
Digestive disturbances like acid reflux, constipation, bloating, gas, etc. (Kaolin clay was common ingredient in medicines like Maalox and Rolaids for years)
Helping with skin and allergy issues
The benefits Though they have been largely forgotten in recent times, bentonite clay and other healing clays have been used by cultures throughout history for their nutrients and to help rid the body of toxins. Many animals will instinctively turn to eating dirt and clay to help remove poisons from their systems or during times of illness or distress.
In recent times, healing clays like Bentonite Clay have once again been gaining popularity for internal and external detoxification, and with good reason.
should have added this.At the market in the La Saline slum, two cups of rice now sell for 60 U.S. cents, up 10 U.S. cents from December and 50 percent from a year ago.
Beans, condensed milk, and fruit have gone up at a similar rate, and even the price of the edible clay has risen over the past year by almost U.S. $1.50. Dirt to make a hundred cookies now costs U.S. $5, the cookie makers say.

Still, at about 5 cents apiece, the cookies are a bargain compared to food staples. About 80 percent of people in Haiti live on less than $U.S. 2 a day and a tiny elite controls the economy.
Making the Cookies
Merchants truck the dirt from the central town of Hinche to the La Saline market, a maze of tables of vegetables and meat swarming with flies. Women buy the dirt, then process it into mud cookies in places such as Fort Dimanche, a nearby shantytown.
Carrying buckets of dirt and water up ladders to the roof of the former prison for which the slum is named, they strain out rocks and clumps on a sheet, and stir in shortening and salt. Then they pat the mixture into mud cookies and leave them to dry under the scorching sun.
The finished cookies are carried in buckets to markets or sold on the streets.
A reporter sampling a cookie found that it had a smooth consistency and sucked all the moisture out of the mouth as soon as it touched the tongue. For hours, an unpleasant taste of dirt lingered.
Health Effects
Assessments of the health effects are mixed. Dirt can contain deadly parasites or toxins, but can also strengthen the immunity of fetuses in the womb to certain diseases, said Gerald N. Callahan, an immunology professor at Colorado State University who has studied geophagy, the scientific name for dirt-eating.
Haitian doctors say depending on the cookies for sustenance risks malnutrition.
"Trust me, if I see someone eating those cookies, I will discourage it," said Gabriel Thimothee, the executive director of Haiti's health ministry.
Marie Noel, 40, sells the cookies in a market to provide for her seven children. Her family also eats them.
"I'm hoping one day I'll have enough food to eat, so I can stop eating these," she said. "I know it's not good for me."

Table of mineralized graphene-battery zone intersections (holes 12-19)*
* Core length; the Company estimates the true width of the mineralized zone at 70 to 95% of the core length.
The 2015 drilling program is managed by Consul-Teck Exploration of Val-d'Or, Quebec, who designed the drilling campaign, supervised the program and logged and sampled the core.
Consul-Teck Exploration implemented QA/QC procedures to ensure best practices in sampling and analysis of the core samples. The drill core was logged and then split, with one half sent for assay and the other retained in the core box as a witness sample. Duplicates and blanks were inserted regularly into the sample stream.
The samples in secure tagged bags were delivered directly to the analytical facility for analysis. In this case, the analytical facility was the ALS minerals in Val-d'Or, Quebec. The samples are weighed and identified prior to sample preparation. The samples are crushed to 70% minus 2 mm, then separated and pulverized to 85% passing 75um. All samples are analyzed for Carbon Graphite using C-IR18.

DISNEY IS CREATING AUGMENTED REALITY FROM CHILDREN’S PICTURES
Hey kids, annoyed that adults have gone and taken all the fun out of messing around with crayons with their weird grown-up colouring books craze? Worry no more, a team from Disney Research, no less, has been working on a way to make staying within in the lines fun again: by combining your drawings with an augmented reality app that makes them leap up off the page as a 3D model.
We’re not entirely certain that the central hypothesis of their paper, which was published in IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics. It starts with an odd discussion that apps and games mean some “real-world activities like coloring can seem unexciting” for children today and is possibly more of an indictment of parenting style than anything to with kids. In a totally unscientific test of this hypothesis we gave one nine-year-old Sims and Disney Infinity fan a pen and an unaugmented piece of paper: she drew, she coloured, she loved it.
But the core of it is still ace.
Using their app, the research team is able to scan a child’s drawing with a standard camera and turn into a “lookup map” – better known as texture maps. These maps are what wrap around a 3D model to give it surface detail. Think of a map as skin that wraps around a fruit and you get the general idea.
The process is explained graphically thus.

North America: Largest market for drilling and completion fluids
North America constitutes the largest market for drilling and completion fluids due to the presence of half of the world’s oil and gas reserves. The U.S. has the maximum number of shale reserves as compared to other regions. Offshore activities in the Gulf of Mexico region are consistently rising, boosting the demand for drilling and completion fluids in the North American market. To meet this rising demand and to gain a competitive advantage, companies are progressively strengthening their presence in this region Additionally, North America is also in the forefront when it comes to laying out policies and regulations for the prevention of the degradation of the environment.
Water-based systems: largely used drilling fluids
Water-based systems are the most widely used drilling and completion fluids across the globe and are suitable for all the application areas, including onshore and offshore. The water-based fluids are cost-effective and ecofriendly as compared to non-aqueous based fluids. Research activities have resulted in the discovery of a new type of water-based fluid which can be used in challenging high-pressure, high-temperature, deep, and ultra-deep water drilling activities. The discharge policies for water-based fluids across the world are also not particularly stringent due to the presence of minimally toxic chemicals. These points, along with their reasonable price, minimal toxicity, and easy availability make water-based fluids a preferred option over other types of non-aqueous drilling and completion fluids.
A major restraining factor for the drilling and completion fluids market is the impact of drilling fluids on the environment and the surrounding ecosystem.
Development of advanced drilling fluid chemicals
The demand for new drilling technologies results in a demand for advanced drilling fluids. Nanotechnology is being pursued as a solution to overcome technological and environmental challenges. The drilling and completion fluids based on nanotechnology contain materials of sizes in the range of 1 to 100 nanometers (nm). Drilling fluids with nonmaterial possess viscosity, density, and gelling strength that remain constant over a wide range of operating conditions. Future trends are leaning towards the development of sustainable, environmentally friendly drilling fluids. These new technological developments and innovations in fluid additives create a huge opportunity for industry players. The additional advantage provided by these state-of-the-art materials is the low toxic impact on the environment, which will facilitate the operations of exploration and production companies.
The global market of hydraulic chemicals is projected to register a CAGR of 9.5% between 2015 and 2020. Gelling agent is estimated to account for the largest market size among all the chemical function types and is estimated to account for a market share of 37% in 2020. - See more at: http://globenewswire.com/news-release/2015/10/07/774100/0/en/Global-Fracking-Fluid-Chemicals-Market-2015-2020-Acid-Surfactant-Biocide-Gelling-Agent-Crosslinker-Breaker-Scale-Corrosion-Inhibitor-Clay-Iron-Control-And-Friction-Reducer.html#sthash.EI1fOTxQ.dpuf

May 2014, in accordance with 43 CFR 3809 Surface Management Regulations, the Bureau of Land Management Winnemucca District Office authorized Western Lithium to proceed with mining operations associated with the Kings Valley Clay Mine Project, as detailed in the Company’s Final Plan of Operations and Reclamation Plan. In April 2014, the State of Nevada, Division of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation (concurrently approved Western Lithium’s Final Plan of Operations and issued the Project’s Final Reclamation Permit. Also in April 2014, the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) assigned the Kings Valley Clay Mine operation an MSHA Mine Identification Number, and the Humboldt County Regional Planning Commission unanimously approved Western Lithium’s Conditional Use Permit, allowing the development of an open pit clay mine and associated mine-related operations. With all required environmental permits successfully obtained, Hectorite clay can now be selectively excavated from two open pits at the Company’s Kings Valley property, and ultimately hauled to its Hectatone™ organoclay manufacturing plant located in Fernley, Nevada.
