Asset? I thought ALMI is leasing the mine. You can't list it as an asset if you are renting it.
TRCPA: EFTI has better PR's plus insiders own over half the OS with about 100 million float. Not a very good comparison.
Plus, it's trending down ==== I guess that can be a comparison.

Here's a company that deals in clays and other nano products. Maybe a sales source for ALMI.
"Welcome to the web site of Nanostructured & Amorphous Materials, Inc. , a supplier of a wide variety of nanoscale powders and amorphous alloys* with a quantity ranging from grams to tons. Our nanoscale powder products include:
Metals, graphite, diamonds, single-/multi-walled carbon nanotubes, and silicon;
Carbides, nitrides, borides;
Oxides (single-metal, multi-metal, rare earth), hydroxides, carbonates, sulfates, minerals, and clays;
Surface modified powders, dispersed powders, and magnetic fluids;
Pigments;
Aggregated nanostructured powders (for thermal spraying);
High surface area materials (graphite mates, sieves, holed beads);
Polymer powders."

I guess this last PR pretty much covered the operational info.
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040929/cnw005_1.html
"Conversation with IR", maybe they should do a newsletter to better get the info out.
Do you have a link for that information? That is worthy of a PR for all the shareholders to know, IMO. Thanks for the info!
Maybe they will be able to mine enough material for operations through the winter. GLTA!
You can study and DD to death - bottom line, sales $$$$ = success. Until then, be careful and GLTA!
Does WRAP know FASC is not a UK company? Sounds like FASC tried to pull a fast one on the USA. Maybe if they declare war on us then surrender we'll give them a billion or so.
Has anyone here tried trading this? Seems to have great support around 0.20 and popped over 0.30 with the last PR. I think it may fall back to the low 0.20's and I may buy a few shares just to try it. I don't think there is much dilution going on yet and the next filing should confirm that, IMO. Even with delays on production there still seems to be good interest by investors. GLTA.
Waitedg, I think ALMI is worth "trading" for a while. FASC needs a MAJOR contract, IMO, to be able to move much. I will continue to watch FASC and will consider buying if they can ever justify the number of shares with some decent business. I only give that maybe a 5% chance of ever happening. Also, after seeing the bonuses paid, I doubt they will ever show a profit, it will go to salaries.
Sorry if I upset anyone, but that's the cold, hard facts of the OTC market.
sambeaux, ALMI is "sexy" right now, nano, nano, high price stated for product (by the contracted distributor). Just a momo play for now, watch it drop back then another PR pump. Buy low 20's and sell at 30, repeat often until dilution starts to get out of hand (see FASC).
OT: Good move by BIPH for those that recommended it. tech and waite?
Think of the stems as a hanging rope. It breaks, say, at 5 pounds of weight on the end, that is tensile stength. When the stems are "dried" from 2 hours to 386 hours, they will break at 10 pounds of weight (two-fold, 2 X 5 pounds). The stems are "stronger" when dried.
Shear stress is like cutting the stem with a dull sissors, onefifth or 5 pounds divided by 5 = 1 pound of force required to cut it. After 386 hours, it still took only 1 pound of force to cut it.
What about Mitsui? They are much bigger than Firma and probably in business many more years. Did they buy a KDS yet to start testing materials?
"Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. has annual sales in excess of $3.9 billion USD. In addition to its core business, Mitsui manufactures engines, boilers and gas turbines, as well as builds plants for refuse disposal and water treatment and is active in the environmental industry. Mitsui, through its worldwide affiliates, has established joint enterprises in Japan with overseas IT venture businesses. The overseas partners provide products and technologies as well as new business models and their experience in markets overseas. Mitsui brings its market expertise as well as capabilities for performing back-office functions, handling distribution, and other business know-how."
May be just a pile of pigeon crap they swept up to make room for the KDS. But who knows, any forensic photo readers out there? This could be VERY important!
Why won't anyone in the pictures show their face????
Nice volume! Must have to pay those American Express bills after the ALMI trip.
sambeaux, here are Friday's trades, all six of them. Hard to tell buys and sells but no 200,000 share trade.
14:59:18 20000 0.05 + OTCBB
14:55:21 100000 0.049 - OTCBB
14:55:18 5000 0.05 + OTCBB
14:55:18 115000 0.048 + OTCBB
09:31:33 1000 0.048 + OTCBB
09:30:24 1700 0.048 OTCBB
Bill collecting or repo?
LOL!
Waitedg, LOL! Oh my, after all this time a Cesarean section may be necessary!
Waitedg, try to remember, OTC stocks are just good for a couple of hot dates, don't get married to them! LOL!
Uh oh! LOL! But I guess I'm not the only one!

TRCPA, I should have said "non-profit", my mistake and not sinister unless maybe it was a Fraudian slip! LOL! I think the markets have dropped premiums for "potential". There are still many stocks doing well based on fundamentals. Also read a good article on the "terrorist effect" on the markets, adding $10 to oil and making investors generally nervous about possible "bad news". I wonder if it will ever go away since it's not something that can be completely stomped out 100%, IMO.
TRCPA, well, WRAP is a non-profitable organization, not good guys to hang out with, IMO! LOL! The market seems to be less and less impressed with FASC's "progress".
Sorry, but WRAP is just another government give-away. Unfortunately FASC is unable to make it in the real world and has to go to governments for handouts. I do have to congradulate FASC on getting these grants and maybe take some pressure off the dilution. I just hope these projects are at least a break-even because often companies end up putting some money in the pot to participate and I doubt many end up being successful when it is all said and done. I feel sorry for those investors that have bought shares for many years thinking the KDS was marketable as is.
"Despite the importance of the research project, Womac said most of the grant money will pay for salary for post-doctoral degrees, graduate students, undergraduate students, travel and some supplies."
Welcome to the grant money scam - supported by USA taxpayers and legalized by the USA government - pork barrel at it's finest! And FASC throws in $100,000? Better buy some more shares to help out!
TRCPA, my theory is FASC will run out of shares before/if your theory ever comes to pass! Can a company exist solely on taxpayer grants? Maybe! Any theories on the Zeolite deal? Will it ever happen and/or is CZC supplying HAL's present needs (if any)?
What's the next step in the Malaysia "deal"? My theory there is FASC can't make any substantial sales in North America so they have to go overseas for pump material, plus it's a nice business write-off for X-mas trips.
Is the pre-fractionating unit the sissor-like thingy? Why would FASC "build" it? Would AGES be involved?
"to develop working small-scale models of appropriate grinding and processing units.
Womac's team will collaborate with researchers from the Oak Ridge National Laboratory and First American Scientific Company. If all goes well, First American Scientific Company will build industrial-scale versions of the models."
Is the present KDS considered a "working small scale model"?
Ran across this report (actually a description of a report). The last line says Zeolite a replacement for portland cement. I thought we had a serious shortage of portland cement in the USA since much comes from China and they are using in-house and exporting less. Any thoughts on this? I originally thought Zeolite was a light weight replacement for another component.
Plenty of capacity available world-wide.
http://www.roskill.com/reports/zeolites
Output well below capacity due to static demand
Almost all zeolite manufacturers in the detergents and catalyst industries are believed to be presently operating at well below plant design capacity. Average utilization worldwide for both sectors is thought to be around 60% of capacity, although there is considerable regional variation. However, the position is better in the molecular sieve sector where production levels are close to capacity. In the detergent sector, Zeolite A competes with STPP, which contains phosphates. As new bans on phosphate use seem unlikely, at least in Europe and North America, the consumption of zeolites in detergents is likely to remain static for the immediate future. The problems in the detergent sector were illustrated by Degussa-Hlsa decision to pull out of the zeolites business entirely in 2001, owing to oversupply and competition from new entrants. With an annual production capacity of over 215,000t, it had been one of the three largest producers in the world.Worldwide demand for natural zeolites has remained fairly static over the last four years, increasing by around 1% per year and remaining in line with production levels. The greatest future market potential in tonnage terms must be in any growing use of zeolitic pozzolans as partial or complete replacement for Portland cement.
lighthawk, I stand corrected and admit I read the filing incorrectly. 2,750,000 received, 840,000 sold, leaving 1,910,000 still held. I apologize to all and promise to try to do better! Thanks for your help!
lighthawk, perhaps this link will make it clearer for you. Shares were Acquired and Disposed of on the same day(s). Scroll down the filing.

TRCPA, The "Disposed of (D)", does that mean sold or flushed?
Waitedg, I'm really happy you have taken the blinders off. FASC has positives and negatives, and both should be weighed in any investment decision. The past few years I have come to the conclusion that OTC stocks are just short term plays and I think you are starting to realize that too. On the positive side, compared to the markets right now, FASC would have been an OK place to park some funds while waiting for the markets to turn around and possibly catch a spike. Some good buys out there now, but any market recovery is still up in the air. The positive move today in the markets is a result of no terrorist activity at the Olympics this weekend. Very sad state of affairs. CEO of Yellow Frieght was on CNBC last week and said their figures are looking very good indicating the economy is in good shape. Let's hope so.
So when are the machine improvements? Wouldn't that be priority one and major information to give to stockholders? They PR'ed building a Zeolite plant, why not the New, Improved KDS? At any rate, I'm not impressed by HQ's investments. I guess that's what happens when you can pizz away someone else's money.
HQ hasn't done much so far except give away some money. Why don't they spend a bit of that $60 billion and buy an AGES system. It would fit with their industry and could be a working model for potential customers. ROI in a year or so, why not? Diffrn't strokes for diffrn't folks, I guess. They would rather use their "huge influence" to push it onto someone else. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I disagree, sounds like more pie-in-the-sky comments much like the HUGE Haliburton deal that was going to send KDS' all over the world to process Zeolite. Typical OTC pump bullschitt, IMO, but keep the troops dreaming! LOL!
"Does anyone disagree with the thought that HQ's "help with commercialization" would be huge, given their size and influence?"
When investors bought this stock over the years did they know the KDS wasn't ready for market? Now you hope it can be improved enough to market? And the government is doing the study? Lot's of luck, they better double the authorized, this could be YEARS away, if at all. If HQ believed in it, why don't they support an AGES unit as part of their Green Power program?
