I thought "for sure" we would get an update-PR yesterday or today. Any indications from conversations with the "office" if an update coming soon? GLTA.
For those interested in Nano companies, here is a good site. Click on "Company Profiles" on the left and get a list of companies, public and private. Very interesting what is going on in the Nano area. Maybe ALMI will be listed there someday.

Seems they fixed the spread for ya, LOL!
OT: To the poster that gave me a "Private Reply", received your message but can't reply back (don't have premium membership). My reply, color me skeptical, LOL!
Doubloon: What? Does gold sell at a higher price to use in high $ jewelry than it does for use in electronics? If they have real customers for their clay, they better sell them the clay. Your reasoning doesn't sound reasonable!
Doubloon: Vein of iron? Do you mean iron oxide? I don't think iron exists in a natural state as a metal in any quantity, certainly not a large vein.......but, I could be wrong.
OT: beischens: We all love to hate the ACLU, but they only act on the laws as written and according to the Constitution.
Our lawmakers are the F-ups, not the ACLU.
gooddoc, ahhhh, you were fibbing about buying 326,000 shares, and you said you weren't. MM's wouldn't take your order at 1 cent? LOL!
gooddoc, buying 326,000 shares today? That should be interesting since it's above the average daily volume. You wouldn't fib about such a purchase, would you?

THREES, is it OK if I trade on that info or would that be illegal?
Waitedg, I hope you have a Plan "B". Have a good Thankgiving.
THREES: How many trucks were lined up to take product to market? TIA.
Hongcouver, that was interesting. So Buffett does grab OTC stocks for their liquidation value when they go under. Do you think he would see any value with ALMI? Note that delisting was involved to get to the OTC, not starting off there with basically no assets.
rodrth, the key words are: "Some are fiscally sound companies whose share prices have been wounded by unfortunate events, and some are just undiscovered."
FASC doesn't even come close even though some will try to keep the believers "hooked" using that article. FASC now depends on government handouts AND selling shares. Motley Fool would chit-can this one just on the big salaries and bonuses.
"A substance's autoignition temperature is the lowest temperature at which it will burst into flame in air, even without an external spark or other source of ignition. The lowest temperature at which a substance will ignite in the presence of an external source of ignition is its flash point."
edfrank, Autoignition means no other energy required, ie, spark or flame. Why do you think coal mine explosions occur at ambient temperature? Also grain elevator explosions?
See Murphy's Law.
ptey, "the ignition temperatures for coal dust are much higher - around 200 degrees Celsius." I'm saying that statement is incorrect, unless he means the temperature of a "spark". Dust explosions can occur at ambient temperatures.
I would guess the rest of his reasoning is correct. It's possible, though, that the parameters could change in an equipment malfunction, for example, plugging of the discharge.
ptrey, Dungate is mistaken. 200 degrees Celsius is not required, coal dust and other dust explosions can and do occur at ambient temperatures. They better get some of that liability insurance, IMO! LOL!
beigledog, I should have specified over a long term. Many times rumors will get a pps spike if they are spread over message boards, but the pps won't hold up if the rumor proves false. Some guy posting "This is a POS" means nothing, IMO.
It may piss some off especially if they have some doubts in the back of their minds, but it doesn't affect the pps.
RBisPoo: "Bashing what you own and helping the price dip."
Do you really think what people post really affects the price of a stock? If you are in the market any length of time, you will find out that what the company does or doesn't do has the greatest effect on the pps. A company PR's what they are doing/intend to do, if they don't perform the pps goes down. If they do perform the pps goes up, very simple.
OT: the daemon, I think they found dinosaur bones in Antarctica recently which indicates a tropical climate there millions of years ago. Make me wonder if we really can control what happens to the Earth climate-wise. One large volcanic eruption throws more crap into the upper atmosphere in a short time than we do in decades.
Waitedg, maybe if you upped it to a 50/50 cut to the lady with the handicapped son, God wouldn't think you were being too greedy and be more apt to answer your prayers. Just a suggestion. Of course God may think you should give her the money now and make her life less stressful now rather than gambling on a penny stock. Tough decisions.
Waitedg, thanks for the reply. Yes, money and material gain is my goal in the stock market. My interest in FASC is strictly a study in why people buy certain stocks which I believe is closely related to why people keep falling for the various Nigerian scams that come out. I think in the OTC stock market people see other success stories and greed keeps them looking for the undiscovered "gem". Very similar to the gold rush days when our country was young. Most of the money made then was selling supplies to the miners, and a few great success stories kept people coming. Sounds like your FASC share collecting is like Beanie Baby collecting. I hope FASC gives you a real "jollie" someday, at least you can't lose, since it's not about the money, right?
Waitedg, I'm curious, if you son is running a very successful business, why not invest in his business rather than borrowing money from him to invest in a questionable OTC stock? Sounds like he has more on the ball than FASC.
Drug delivery info. I guess it depends if the clay is considered a "new compound", which probably is the case.
"First, let's look at the basics of what BioDelivery does. The company develops ways to coat tiny particles of drugs with everyday food products like soy or calcium. The coating protects the drug inside the body, and the right coating can bind with the cells where health problems originate. That delivers drugs to exactly the right place, says O’Donnell.
The company is also developing dime-size patches to put on the lining inside your mouth. The patches dissolve in minutes and deliver drugs quickly into the bloodstream.
So what are the catalysts? BioDelivery should be able to bring these delivery systems to market relatively quickly since it isn’t testing new compounds, which take longer to get approved. For example, the company should be able to file for fast-track approval of a delivery system carrying an anti-nausea drug in the first quarter of next year. In the middle of next year, it should start Phase 3 trials on the use of its delivery technology for a drug called fentanyl, a painkiller. And food and beverage companies may start using the coating technology next year on Omega-3 fatty acids -- thought to reduce cardiovascular problems. Along the way, the company could score more deals with other drug companies looking to apply its technology."
Doubloon, I could be wrong, but I don't think Warren Buffet ever invested in OTC stocks. But your post was OT so I guess you didn't mean it to apply to ALMI.
Noted, I'll try to post just about the company from now on rather than individuals.
Stix, when you find junkyard guard dogs like Shikari on OTC message boards, it's a good POS indicator. Just because someone doubled their paper investment doesn't mean it's a good company. So far this company hasn't produced any Hallosite revenue after saying they had an order to be filled months ago.
"Order not being filled until Company, imo, is sure they can deliver a steady supply of clay and quality. That means testing the quality and making sure they have a steady amount of high quality resource."
Huh? I thought these guys were in the mining business! Why didn't they say that up front rather than giving a delivery date that could not be met? Experienced mining people would know the procedure and the time required, I would think. I think this Halloysite so-called market must be questionable.
tenzzi, Whatever, LOL!
ptrey, I shouldn't have said "recommend", I should have said
"encourage". Brokers don't keep clients if they piss them off. I am guessing he tried not to be negative so not to upset her. No, I'm not a broker, but I am laughing at posts like that.
Sorry.
ptrey, if that is true, your friend better get a new broker.
I would guess he's laughing at her behind her back. NO broker worth dealing with is going to encourage investing in a 5 cent OTC stock. That is really sad.
Doubloon, $183.00 per ton cost delivered seems quite high, and why "delivered"? Most prices are FOB at the producer. I still think the per ton sales figure is highly inflated unless proven in an actual sale. Lots of investors are placing their bets based on those figures, hope the market is there.
treedoc, I'm not sure, but I think PR's of significant events are required by the SEC within a reasonable time period. Of course a "significant event" may not be a sale of material in normal company business. A big contract or loss of a big contract would be a significant event and need to be PR'ed in a reasonable time.
Doubloon, I think the problem here is, you consider this strictly a momo play, maybe a long term one (you keep referring to your paper gains to date), and Stix may be looking at this at a long term buy and hold. Both positions are appropriate, IMO, but result in different opinions posted here about the company's progress. I think these boards are for discussing the pros and cons of the company without personal attacks and by respecting other's opinions. Thanks to all that contribute here, best to keep it an informative board for all investors. Just one side of the story is not a good thing. I tend to agree with the momo position now, a possible long term position can come later with proof of revenues and profits. GLTA.
Jamesfwh: Less than $2.00 not entertained?? That was about 150 million shares ago. I would think anything less than 30 cents would be the cut-off now. Problem is, there is now several years of few sales and failed ventures. Like buying a wrecked car.
Is it possible the 50 ton order is just going in the distributor's stock on consignment? Or is it really an end-user order?
techisbest, I think $500,000 is the total purchase price for ALMI, not a per year charge. Why would ALMI put $1,000,000 sales in 12 months as a stipulation, to keep themselves from impulse buying? LOL!! Or did Conjecture put it in to make sure ALMI didn't buy too quickly so they could benefit longer under the present lease agreement? Still seems weird to me, but I certainly have no experience in these types of mining leases.
From 10K: "Since July 10, 2001, Atlas Mining Company has leased the property from Conjecture Silver Mines, Inc., whose address is P.O.B. 14006, Spokane, Washington 99214. We initially paid 400,000 shares of our common stock, valued at $100,000, for a one-year lease. Under the terms of the lease agreement, we have the right to renew the lease annually in exchange for 100,000 additional shares of our common stock, or we may buy the property for $500,000 if we have $1,000,000 in sales from the mine in a 12-month period."
I don't understand the part about "if we have 1,000,000 in sales in a 12 month period." Why would Conjecture care as long as they got their $500,000? Weird.
